Chai Naasto - Hammersmith in Richmond upon Thames

Ordered for the first time last night and I felt it was a bit expensive until I started to eat the lamb spicy secret curry which was outstanding. The meat fell apart and the sauce was on another level. I also tried the butter chicken which was again beautifully flavoured. Only changes I would ask it dishes to e sealed in cling film and marked. 10/10. Will be back.

First of all is to expensive this restaurant, execsivly expensive. After that the food quantity is to small, not even for a person, and the quality worst. NOT RECOMMENDABLE

The team at Patri catered for a lunch for 20 people in our house. The food was amazing and service and support in planning the menu and delivering excellent food was great. Our guests were all impressed and loved the food.

Delicious authentic Indian food. Very Punjabi and good portion sizes. By far the best Indian cuisine we have had in ages in London. So glad we found this authentic restaurant which boasts talented chefs who obviously know their stuff. Service was very swift and polite and they catered to my daughters requirements very well. It was no trouble at all for them. Only a 5 minute walk from Hammersmith underground station and definitely worth a visit if you enjoy honest, Indian authentic food with real flavour rather than the hype behind many Indian restaurants within central London that offer good lighting and candles but can't deliver on the food aspect. We will definitely be returning again.

We came for a work Christmas lunch and were treated excellently by the staff. An amazing array of food and they were very accommodating when we wanted to host a Christmas quiz. Would definitely recommend!

We discovered Patri on first table app and had such a nice meal. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. I’d definitely recommend. We went for an early dinner before a gig and took advantage of the first table offer, but we will definitely go back another evening. We shared the railway grill. The chicken tikka was the best we’ve ever had!

Se abitassi a Londra, questo sarebbe uno dei locali che frequenterei più spesso. Abbiamo mangiato qui due volte prendendo i piatti da asporto, visto che l’appartamento dove alloggiavano si trovava nelle vicinanze e abbiamo sempre mangiato benissimo. I haven’t been to this restaurant but ordered from them nearly every day when I was down with the flu. If you’re Indian, especially North Indian, their food will definitely remind you of home. They make Indian food for Indian tastebuds. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Up there with the best Indian meals I have eaten, this place would become my new regular if I lived nearby. Meat was super tender, no gristle, sauce well seasoned and spiced, nothing to fault with this meal. Attentive and friendly service. Thanks. Cost wise it’s a bit more than other places but the quality was worth it.

Patri is a wonderful, intimate restaurant that provides food that is outstanding. We went in on a whim, and everything tasted authentic and truly delicious. We would highly recommend and definitely go back again.

Food is a 5* and delicious! however Thali is priced too high at 1 for £32. Although menu states it's for two people, the portion is not big enough and therefore price needs reevaluating

Average food taste however the quality and service from staff was excellent. I’ve been here 3 times and every time the food ordered tasted different. I enjoy their drinks and ambience. It’s a small place but enough sitting area worth booking table . The dishes are presented fancy . Pricing I personally think is expensive but because it’s in Hammersmith it’s justified . I would still go back for the friendly service and ambience. Personal recommendation would be the paneer dish and tandoori chicken wings . Try their lime soda too

Vi hadde en fantastisk matopplevelse her. Vi fulgte anbefalingene til de meget hyggelige servitørene, og fikk en svært godt sammensatt smaksopplevelse. Maten var passelig sterk med svært tydelig indisk særpreg. Stilfullt rent og hyggelig sted, med kunnskapsrike servitører. God drikke som passet veldig godt til maten. Anbefales på det varmeste!

Great tasting food, no doubt one of the best Indian places out here. Just bare in mind that it's very expensive. For example a Butter chicken with the steamed rice will cost you 22 pounds. But it's totally worth it!

Not spicy at all. I was really looking forward to trying a girlfriend chaat and some very spicy chilli rice. Very expensive. Rushed and sub par.

The cocktail was very tasty, as was the Gunpowder Pop Corn Chicken (portion was huge!) and Paneer Butter Masala. I also ordered the Railway Lamb Curry which was nice but the quarter portion was not 3-4 pieces, I only got one substantive piece so would go for the half next time. Overall a great experience.

I had the chatpati aloo tikki chaat and kadala power House curry. The chatpati is sooooo good! It's a huge portion so you could also share. The curry I was less keen on. But I have previously had the vegan thali which was really good and definitely enough to share. The cocktails are great too! Definitely recommend overall. Amazing veggie options.

Food tasted alright, nothing special. In fact, I thought it would be better. The karak chaii unfortunately wasn't good either at all as it was a powdered one, not a homemade one. Overall, the place was very overpriced, not worth the 40 quid we spent on HALF a butter chicken with the bone, 2 powdered karak chaiis and 5 or 6 pieces of paneer.

We live nextdoor & tried it for the first time having seen the reviews, seen it busy and with constant delivery bikes outside. The sauce was watery. There were no nice indian aromatic spices like garam marsala, cumin or cardomon, just chilli. Almost no lamb to speak of. My partner's chicken dish was of similar quality. The naan was soggy, nothing to do with staying in the bag, as we walked 30 seconds to get home & start eating. There are much better Indian takeaways within 5 minutes, which would have cost us under £20 for 2 rather than the £45 at Patri. A rip-off. I'm very surprised at the 4.4 average score. I'll have to read the comments to see if it just their family & friends reviewing.

Had Patri for Take out and it’s simply delicious! A wide ranging menu with great vegan/vegetarian options. The Marwari Radga Bhel Puri is a must try!

The balance achieved by Patri's seasoned head chef, Vijendra Rana, who's mainly plied his trade in Dubai, that makes the curry dishes here truly stand out from so many others we've had in this crowded, monotonous market. Each one has its own distinct tone and flavour, making them not only memorable in their own right, but also extremely difficult for us to choose one particular dish for our Menu Recommendation below. After reading reviews on here and Trip Advisor we decided to give it a go. Great food and atmosphere. Make sure to make a reservation.

While the place has very authentic menu and preparation, I have to say that the end result is a very westernised version of Indian cuisine as it lacks the wow factor of heat, zest and spice . In current globe trotting world where most yearns for genuine food, this place does disservice by making their curries so bland or at least not asking their punters the spice level they want (a norm in a usual curry house). While the black lentil stew had plenty of cinnamon sticks and cardamom, it failed on basics of salt and chilly powder. I bet if our bar tender who hailed from Hyderabad (home to one of the hottest food on the planet) would say any different! Our request for green chillies to make up for this lack of heat never got answered.

Totally poor tasteless food. Super surprised as the restaurant in Dubai is awesome.

Probably the best service I have had in London. The owner is hands on and all the staff are so friendly. The food was delicious and great value for money. Would highly recommend.

The taste was pretty blend. £72 for two people with two beers. You can get much better Indian food around this area. Updated: the drink is not a cocktail/mocktail, it is a glass of tap water. We also ordered starters before taking this photo.

We found Patri by chance and so happy we did. The food was excellent, the desert divine and the service second to none. The menu is extensive and especially good for vegans and vegetarians and we will be back just to work our way through the menu. We recommend plenty of good eateries on here and Patri is up there with the best.

On my quest to find an authentic Indian restaurants, I came across this fine restaurant in Hammersmith. Overall menu options as well as taste is excellent. I ordered the Malai tikka (7 on 10) - quite basic really which I can cook at home. It was slightly undercooked but the staff was more than happy to not charge for it. Chilli Chicken (9/10) - perfect mix of sweet and chilli. Dal makhani (10/10) - creamy but not too heavy. Mango Kulfi (10/10). Definitely worth another visit and possibly more.

Amazing place to try a variety of authentic indian dishes. Executed well and the drinks on tap and in the fridge are varied. Try Malabar an Indian Blond IPA!

Best & most authentic Indian food we've had in West London. We had the Pani Puri, mixed Thali and a fish curry to share between two of us. The portions were very generous. Our favourite was the lamb curry from the Thali. Next time we'll definitely order a full portion of it. I'm usually not a fan of butter chicken but this one was great as it was not as mild as the usual ones. They also have a great drinks menu with a wide range of wines, beers and cocktails. They also have a great vegetarian and vegan range. All in all amazing & we will be back

The food was good specially the punjabi samosa chaat the Sindhi chicken curry sublime and bhagian masala could have had abit more flavouring although it was edible overall an enjoyable experience but i need to mention that the starter's prices are abit exorbitant which may discourage some customers from trying them out. The ambience was good but the Barman /waiter seemed to be a bit under pressure in my personally opinion trying to handle drinks takeaway orders at the same time. Please revise prices for the starters. We hope to return bck soon. Thank you patri.

Had a lovely evening here last week after work. This place is a gem for someone looking for tasting variety of food with real Indian flavours. The service and ambiance elevates the experience even more.

Based on a few occasions now I have concluded that you can expect superb flavors, an excellent use of spices and quality meat (esp for lamb dishes). The food is authentic and spicy but just to the right level for our well traveled London palette(s). Naans are made just perfectly (not too thick and dry like some other places), Tandoori & curries are spot on, truly the "Best in the West" of London.

What a lovely little restaurant, straight from the streets of India. Amazing service (thanks for sorting out the masala tea even though we were late in ordering it), wonderful staters and mains, very authentic. Loved it and I am 100% coming back!!! Thank you Patri!!

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Really innovative menu and delicious dishes. Staff were all super friendly. Beware: the portions are pretty generous!

Wouldn’t even give this place a one star but I had to as no option to give less. Very terrible service. Ordered a take away, we waited over 1 hour for our food to arrive. Called the restaurant to get a status on our order and was told it’s leaving the restaurant right away, it didn’t arrive until 45mins later and it wasn’t even our order. Tried ringing the restaurant but no answer. If there was a problem in the kitchen we would have appreciated being told when we called instead of being sent one dish in the delivery with a random bottle of Fanta! We will NEVER be dining or ordering from this restaurant again. Patri you have lost a customer due to your incompetence and awful service. To add the random chicken curry that did arrive was awful, no taste with a weak watery gravy and only three small pieces of chicken in it, needless to say we threw it in the bin.

Disappointment! Ordered over the phone for takeaway. After almost 40 mins of waiting , we are told the order was not taken.We decided to dine in and was told will get beer on the house.. the final bill had no discount at all and has an added service change. Where is customer service??? I should have got 10-15% off for my bill!!! Decided to try them cause of the great reviews but average food. The restaurant may do good food but need to concentrate on delivery or dine in..I don’t think they doing justice to both.. all three dishes we had lacked flavors.
