Fantastic food at really good prices. The staff are very helpful. The only drawback is the condition of the property. In a better condition i would have awarded 5.

Food is good if not amazing and the service is friendly and warm. Reasonable cost and a great go to when I can’t be bothered to cook.

We’ve now experienced 3 deliveries from Sak and each time the food has been brilliant! Really tasty and fresh/hot. Recommend a selection of starters from dim sum to teriyaki chicken. There’s never a morsel left.

I visited and has a foods to deliver for fews times, we lives in Barnes. It's quality foods was ok, the service was excellent,especially the lady manger, she is absolutely sweet mouth and friendly.. recommend to try here ..Jacques

Apenas he probado escribir críticas negativas, pero esta comida Tailandesa para llevar esta noche era realmente espantosa. Primero de todo los rollos de primavera vegetarianos eran como comprar a granel de un supermercado. Realmente sosa. Realmente sólo de plástico y sin sabor. Ese fue el insulto puño. Went with people who had been before. They commented on it being better. Food really really good, cooked just right, portions just right, service just right. The green tea ice cream was delicious too!! One of the better Thai restaurants I have been to anywhere

Lovely neighbourhood Thai, with great food and good service. Lamb Shank massaman is an absolute delight!

Surprisingly excellent food in a calm, relaxed environment. Very pleasant service, and extremely reasonable bill too. All in all, a great find and one we will return to.

Nos paramos para cenar en una noche de sábado, después de tener el lugar recomendado por numerosos lugareños y no nos decepcionó. El restaurante está decorado de forma agradable y nos dieron una cálida bienvenida. Comenzando con una mezcla de galletas saladas, condimentadas y suave de gambas luego probamos los granos salados edemame y una selección de entrantes vegetarianos, que eran suculentos y sabrosos. Katsu curry de pollo crujientes, Pad tailandés con Pollo y Fideos Singapur y todo pronunciado bien seguido y fresca. Pasamos 80 libras para 5 personas y sentí que estaba bastante bien para lo que teníamos.

Tuve el menú de almuerzo. Primera clase sopa de champiñones galangal. Entonces, salteado de ternera fritos bastante calor, pero la comida tailandesa (y sin duda lo gire el 'calor' si preguntar). Sin duda una buena relación calidad-precio. El té de jazmín es relativamente caro, sin embargo está hecho con hojas de jazmín real.

In Barnes on a cold wet miserable Wednesday looking for a quick easy lunch. My son suggested this place because he loves Asian food. He sold me on the two courses for £7.95 deal, so in we went. Lovely decor, neutral creams off set by dashes of magenta and plum and green in the crockery etc. we were only people there as it was 2.45pm. I'm vegan and allergic to seafood and this was carefully noted by waiter. I had mushroom soup to start which was amazing, sweet, creamy, sour, spicy full of juicy oyster mushrooms. So good my son bought a portion for himself to take way at the end of our lunch! Then vegetable red thai curry. Son had chicken satay and then chicken and prawn noodles. All of it cooked perfectly. My miserable cold wet morning was forgotten by this delicious warming lunch. Definitely going here again soon!

It was Mothers day and we were going to the cinema in Barnes and wanted a change from the cinema restaurant (Olympic Studios). We found this restaurant through Tripadvisor and went because of the excellent reviews.The staff are lovely, service is excellent and the food is very fresh and tasty. The setting of the restaurant is simple and very Asian, which is part of its charm.My only reason for not giving 5* is because the portion sizes are quite small, which meant we did not order correctly.Otherwise would definitely recommend as a good local, authentic Thai!

Felt welcomed and enjoyed a lovely diner. Very friendly staff who seemed to know what they were doing. Very quick at serving me my food to my delight as I was starving :) Thanks guys.

The menu is really varied and I have enjoyed every dish I've tried from Sakunthala's. I like the mixed starter as I struggle to choose just one. My partner often gets the scallops and really enjoys them. We've tried a number of mains dishes and enjoyed every one. This restaurant reminds me of home in the South Pacific where this type of food is very popular. Very happy that this restaurant is just down the road from where we live and their high quality takeaway is available when we don't feel like eating out.

Had assumed this was a bog standard Thai until saw the interesting pan-Asian menu scattered with some Chinese, Malay and Burmese dishes. Food was top notch, particularly great spicy udon noodles and chicken gyoza. Service smiley, quick and charming, decor nice and there was a nice gentle buzz in the dining area. Will be back. Incredible value too.

The restaurant was simply amazing, it was not very busy which was surprising to see because the food was delicious and very affordable. The service was magnificent, the food came remarkably quick whilst the waiter was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! 5* from my family!

Myself and my partner are a fan of Thai restaurants and this is our favourite place! We have been here many times and keep coming back because we love it! The food is always amazing delicious and the service is great. A real gem in Barnes!

Having passed by many times last night I chose Sakunthala for my meal out. What a very pleasant surprise. Unlike most of the eateries in the area this one is very reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and friendly. All our dishes were delicious, fresh and the presentation was amazing. The sauces that accompanied our starters were good enough to drink, which we did! I'm so happy that I have this little gem within walking distance.

Our group of 9 including children enjoyed a very tasty meal. All dishes were excellent - in particular the calamari starter - absolutely delicious.The service was friendly and attentive. Dishes came freshly cooked and hot. The children aged 5 - 9 ate everything. We have been before as 3 adults and once again this restaurant did not disappoint. Thank you.

I have eaten here several times, and have always left very satisfied. Firstly, the service is attentive and the staff make you feel very welcome. The last time I visited, I was clearly pregnant and uncomfortable, the waitress went out of her way to make space for me and made very helpful suggestions about food and drink. They serve good quality Thai food, quickly and at an excellent price. I would thoroughly recommend!

Everything that could have gone wrong with the service went wrong. We booked, got seated upon arrival (did take >5 min, a little bit long)Ordered two drinks, two starters and two mains.One starter arrived before the drinks did. Upon asking, they seemed to have forgotten about the drinks and re-asked us for our drinks order. Then, the Chardonnay tasted awful - they were nice about it and let us check the bottle etc. Bearing in mind they forgot to bring the ice we asked for at least twice. Then, as my husband's main arrived, I was told they didn't have the fish left. I repeat, they told me my main was out of stock AFTER my husband's main arrived. At that point they gave me free prawn crackers (!!!?) and I asked for a papaya salad as I was so fed and thought it'd be quick. All in the meantime the restaurant was FREEZING as they put the air con on and I had to sit with my coat on and we had to ask 3 times for them to switch off air con before they did. The waiters hardly speak English and the whole experience was a disgrace despite the food being great. We got 50% off from our bill given our disastrous experience - they need to fix this if they'd like more customers. It's a small enough restaurant and clearly they can predict how many customers they'll get during the weekend.

I had a really enjoyable dinner there. I loved the fact that the staff were really friendly and informal and that the place had a personality of its own (I am so sick of the chain restaurants where everything is the same). The food was extremely tasty and looked pretty as well. Only downsides for us were that the Cola was served in a jar (lol) and that the food came out at different times. However, we were quite late (I believe almost closing time) so that didn't bother us too much.

Local, great service and great tasting thai food. I visit once a week without fail. Make sure you try the dim sum.

My colleagues and I decided to go out for lunch and discover a new place where we could enjoy ourselves. Even though, it does not have a courtyard or an outdoor space -which would be quite good-; the venue is very bright and it has a calm atmosphere; Although the design of the space was quite eclectic and not determined.Also, a few Asian ingredients are sold on-site and Thai recipes are given away for free in tear off booklets.The service is rather good, the waitress was very polite and welcoming.The most important part of this comment is the food which was tasty, using good fresh ingredients, and not expensive. A lunch menu of 1 course is £7, 2 courses for £9.5; at night the prices vary from £3.50 for a starter.If you are in the area, it is worth a try just for the Thai food -do not expect the best venue with nice views, because you'll be disappointed-.

After a number of takeaways, it was time to pay a visit. Not disappointed. Very glad to see that the food is consistently rendered, whether it is on fine china or in a plastic tub. Waitress service prompt and immensely courteous. The food is exceptionally good, particularly bearing in mind the prices are rather reasonable for the postcode. Attention has been paid to sourcing good quality ingredients, and the chef has clearly spent some time perfecting these dishes.There is no competition at this standard in the area, particularly on White Hart Lane.

We live just around the corner from here so often pop in on a weekend for a meal. The food is absolutely delicious and I simply cannot understand why the restaurant is not busier than it is. The curries are delicious and the tempura soft shelled crab is to die for.

We had a takeaway from this restaurant last night and were really impressed with the quality of ingredients used. For example oyster mushrooms in our tom yum soup, rather than cheaper button mushrooms and we had tempura snow crab which was tasty and the squid and gyoza were also very nice and fresh. I would definitely order from here again and plan to visit the restaurant for dinner soon. I hope they do well :)

I have dined here numerous times and have found the cuisine and service to be consistly great. Certainly a wonderful place for local neighborhood dining in Barnes, and worth making a trip from farther afield considering how good it is.

Have been here many times and introduced many of my friends who also love this place. The staff are super friendly the food is excellent and they have a great selection of wines too. Highly recommended

Been to this place a few times now and still surprised it's not a bit busier. They serve one of the best massaman curries I've had, and the rest of the food is great too, and all at a good price with excellent service. Just a shame it's a bit too quiet.
