Rayu Pan Asian in Richmond upon Thames

Found this quant little restaurant on Google and based on reviews decided to visit it. The starters were awesome. We ordered the Malacca prawn skewers, Chicken Satay and Katsu fries. All 3 dishes were great and cleaned out before I could take a photo. For mains we ordered the Nasi Goreng, Fire cracker, Soba Noodles and Mee Goreng (all with chicken). We were amazed with the portion sizes and the kids found it difficult to finish but the restaurant packed it for us. The staff ensured we enjoyed our food and enjoyed our experience. Highly recommended if you enjoy Pan Asian food. We will certainly visit again. Keep up the service and taste

Enjoyed family dinner at Rayu pan Asian. Each dish was unique and freshly prepared with a distinctive taste. We had Katsu curry which was authentic Japanese flavours. Mee gorang, Basil chilli noodles were also bursting with flavours that was just right. Enoki mushroom tempura was one of a kind starter that was just outstanding. Round of applause to Chef Raj and his team, in the end he served us with a complimentary bowl of chicken soup which was outstanding.

Food had amazing flavours and a lot of variety... One of the best Thai food that I have had in London.. specially liked the katsu curry, firecracker, chicken fries👌

Food is amazing, quite large portions and quick service. We went mud week, so it was quiet but nice and comfortable

It was so much fun. The price was great the food was great and the people were SO nice and we will go again. A great place to have a nice dinner. 😁👍

Food is far better than the Greek unique restaurant close by! Very impressed and friendly service. I had the fire cracker rice with sirloin steak and a nice soup with prawns.

What a great little gem. Found this on groupon for a 2 course meal and it was just the best food. The service was very quick and the staff was so friendly, and took time to come and speak to us which was so nice. The food was 10/10 and looking forward to our next visit.

Food was amazing we had the bao buns and they all lovely spicy too witch is good as I like spice only downfall was it took ages to deliver but the driver was amazing and helped us understand that they are super busy

Firecracker wings were yummy, the Kao Bao was delicious too, the chicken nasigoreng was average, the first time the food was brought to the table it was salty, but they gave us a fresh serving which was fine. The people working there are pleasant and the restaurant is clean.

OMG! Had the most amazing tasty meal ever…. Blown away by the authenticity and flavours… Raj the owner and our waiter was exceptional, and made recommendations which were fabulous. Food took some time to come out, but they were inundated with phone orders! Worth the wait for the best tasting Korean/Japanese/Indian/ Thai food we have ever had!

You would walk past this place and not give it a second look. But as they say don't judge a book by its cover. The food was amazing. The price was very reasonable. The staff very attentive. Would highly recommend

Sadly, this is a negative review and I hope I’m a one off. Ordered on Deliveroo, after 40mins I phoned to see where our order was. After calling 5 times someone answered to tell me it would be 4 mins. After waiting another 20 minutes my husband went to the restaurant to see where our order was, it was in a big bag and hadn’t even left the restaurant. It was one hour after ordering and he brought it back himself. It was cold, greasy and not great. A shame really, we are locals and I will not return again.

I had the pleasure of dining at Rayu Pan Asian in Twickenham earlier this year, and it was an absolute delight. The food was not only perfect but also incredibly tasty. We went on a Sunday evening & it was short staffed as the chef was working front of house & in the kitchen he did a really good job considering he was trying to do everything with no help. service was a little slow as you can imagine & food was abit hit & miss the pad Thai was nice the Bao buns & dumplings were great however the Katsu fries were soggy & lacked flavour curry sauce was not Katsu the sweet & sour was terrible worst I’ve tried. we ordered several dishes & the above were the ones that stood out the most. The chef worked really hard & was rushed off his feet we found the food very hit & miss some dishes definitely need improvement & the poor chef needs help.

Discovered this cozy pan Asian accidentally yesterday. What a brilliant restaurant it is. Its food is Super yummy and setup is so relaxing. Head chef made us feel like celebrities and recommended food to our taste. Excellent price and big portions. Wagamama watch out, you got strong competition with this one. This is definitely now one our once a week list. Twisted prawn and vegetarian spring roll is a must try. Firecracker Tofu was superb too. I saw they do deliveries too in special containers that preserves the plating and style of food fashion. All in all it was a great dining experience.

Didn’t really know the area but was wandering around looking for somewhere to eat after Eng v Wales at Twickenham. Everywhere had queues so we walked much further down and came across this place. So glad we did. The food is absolutely lovely, freshly cooked, so tasty, generous portions. The staff are polite, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Will go back next time we are at Twickenham. Loved it!

The food is marvelous. Restaurants ambience is very pleasant. Hospitality was very good and the taste of the food was excellent.

Tried this lovely restaurant today for the first time . The food was so delicious and so was the service. So great to meet the owner Raj who has great passion for the business. I definitely recommend !!!

I ordered from Just Eat - this was the single worst takeaway experience I have ever had. To put into context, this is the first negative review I have ever left, but this was just horrendous. The app updated 1 hour after ordering to let me know my food had been delivered - it hadn't. I left it 20 minutes before calling the restaurant. Over the course of the next hour+ I called the restaurant 5 times, to be either not be answered or be told each time that the driver was 5 minutes away. When I questioned how they knew that when they had not asked for my order number once (and try and give it to them) they said they would call the driver and would then just hang up on me. Eventually after my Partner lost his temper, the "driver" called to let me know he would be '4 minutes'. After waiting in the hotel lobby for 15 I gave up. If they had just let me know the wait time would be 2+ hours I would've understood (or decided on another place) I understand restaurants get busy. It was the despicable treatment during this time and not knowing if I would get my £40 order or not (they did manage one time to stay on the phone long enough without hanging up to tell us we could not cancel our order or have our money back). Just horrific experience all round. AVOID!!!

I made an order for delivery on Deliveroo and the estimated delivery time was 9.30 pm. It got to 10 pm and still no delivery so called the restaurant and got no answer. I left it another 5 minutes and called again still no answer. In all I called over a time period of half hour 7-8 times and constantly got no answer! By 10.30pm I decided to cancel the order with Deliveroo who were very reluctant to refund still after I told them what has happened!! I did get a refund in the end after having to argue my case to someone on the end of live chat which is frustrating because you can’t just call them and talk to someone🤬 in future I definitely won’t be ordering from the restaurant again and will be very reluctant to order through Deliveroo!!

Family of 4 , we made a spontaneous decision to go out and try this restaurant and we had a blast. We thoroughly enjoy our food - lovely flavours , tasty and presented well. Outstanding customer service. . We will definitely return.

We ordered, and till now 2hrs of waiting still didnt arrived, we called deliveroo and themselves also cannot contact their phone number..now ita soon 9pm and my visitor and childern still didnt eat.

Second visit of mine ....amazing food and service must try bao and bubble tea!!!!! Chicken Bao and Sweet Patty Bao was the best.

Ordered through just eat. Delivered late with no apology. Tom yum soup was the most bland I’ve ever had. Spring rolls were greasy.

We really enjoyed the food at Rayu, the menu had great options and really different choices that we had not tried before, everything we ordered was delicious. The service and atmosphere was brilliant. The staff were very attentive, food came out quickly and great portion sizes too.

We had an amazing dinner out. Great environment and vibe, outstanding food. Must have bao buns, basil chilli dishes. Asian beer choices are fabulous. Priced resonably with good portion sizes and fast service.

Worst service! Didn’t receive the order placed through Deliveroo. The restaurant stopped answering calls after the delivery was delayed about an hour and half. Just awful!

Excellent food for takout. Well priced and piping hot when it arrived. We ordered the masuman curry and spicy chilly chips which were incredible and full of flavour. Definitely recommend this place!

Lovely food, great atmosphere.....Perfect place for Celebrations. Also taken some takeaway for dinner. Didn't know that they were doing bubble tea aswell.

I will admit that I'm a bit cautious of places which serve food from a variety of cuisines. Jack of all trades; master of none, as they say. However, as Rayu had opened recently I thought I'd give it a try. I have to say, I wasn't blown away. The tom yum I had was good but not fantastic. The bao bun was OK, and the tempura prawn was truly terrible; a completely soggy mess. I had a Nasi Goreng, which was pretty tasty albeit a bit dry, although to be fair that's how it often is. I do feel a bit bad giving a new place an average review, as I do want them to do well, but the fact was the food was pretty average. I will give them another shot as I do like South-East Asian food, but on the basis of this visit I was a bit disappointed.

Last minute decision for a bit of soup, Tom yum. Delicious wish there was more tofu or veg but it was late and they were about to close so forgiven as the staff were lovely.

We booked a table of 7 + 1 toddler for a Mother's Day lunch. The staff were welcoming, and greeted us with complimentary rice crackers on the table. There was a wonderful choice of dishes, we each chose a different one, and they were all delicious. Particularly nice was the warm welcome, and the helpful and friendly staff who bent over backwards to look after us. The meal was inexpensive and good. We will definitely be back.

Was excited to try this place but very disappointing. Just 2 of us and the only table. Popped in for lunch. Drinks weren't very good (virgin colada) and the food was maybe okay. Would have the chicken gyoza again.

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. Staff is very nice and polite. We have ordered lots of things and each and every food has amazing flavours. Even cocktails are so good. Loved with chicken firecrackers, super delicious!!! Highly Recommend

Finally a Pan Asian in Twickenham serving up fresh, tasty delicious food! Basil chilli, Jacki baos and Katsu fries are my vegetarian favourites so far! Great customer service too! Can't wait to go back.

visited during the rugby match in twickenham, one of the best pan Asian restaurant i ever had visited.staff were so good taking orders .Moctails were amazing ,kids were enjoying there bubble tea....must try budha beer with dynamite kung po rice nice and refreshing......definitely gonna visit next time.

Really amazing food.... dynamite kung-fu pao sirloin beef was the best.... The prawns just perfectly cooked..... Next time will try to eat in and enjoy some more dishes....

What an amazing restaurant with outstanding service and great food . I wasn’t entirely satisfied with one item and they sent another completely to my satisfaction without complaint and without any request on my part. I was blown away! They take their service standards seriously! Try this restaurant . You won’t be disappointed !

A really lovely restaurant. Only been open a few weeks, but food was excellent and service was really attentive. Mentioned it was my wife’s birthday and brought a special cake for her at the end - lovely touch. Food was authentic, with plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians. Will come back soon to taste more of the menu! Thanks again to the team for a great experience.

Great first experience at Rayu, friendly service and good food. The dishes we ate were great, a couple of different noodle ones and very good katsu curry. The katsu chicken fries were a great choice for satisfied teenage boys without breaking the bank 😉 Looking forward to popping back to try some of the other dishes another time 👍

Great service, very attentive. Excellent food. Loved the Fried rice with chicken, the Pad Thai with prawns. You have to have the Nutella and banana spring rolls for dessert. Also the Panko calamari rings are wonderful! I can highly recommend the Coconut Mai Thai. Had two of those!!!
