The Kensington Curry Club held their November meeting at Patri where they enjoyed a very fine meal with great service from Franco and the team. Patri deserves their retention of a ‘Kensington Curry Club Commended’ award

Vibe and atmosphere is very nice but Unfortunately, both the Paneer Butter Masala and Daal Makhni were rather disappointing. The Paneer Butter Masala lacked the rich, creamy texture and vibrant flavors we've come to expect. The paneer itself was slightly tough, and the gravy was thin and lacked depth. The Daal Makhni was similarly underwhelming. The gravy was bland and didn't have the characteristic richness and creaminess. While both dishes are usually crowd-pleasers, this experience fell short of expectations.

It was appalling to see these inside the ladies toilet. I visited the restaurant with my 2 year old child and was lucky to not have taken her to the toilet. It was a complete disaster. The food and service was 10/10 but pricing was quite high as compared to the portion size. But completely disappointed by what I saw in the restroom. Honestly I have not come across something of this sort even at the most basic places. Massive health and safety issue that needs to be addressed immediately

The best Indian food place I have been in London! This compliment comes from an Indian who lived most of her life in India- surely I know exactly what the authentic taste is!! Just pure bliss! Will definitely come back

We absolutely love Patri and as always, they did not disappoint on this visit either! We ordered pani puri for the first time as a starter and we were kindly shown how to eat these surprising little gems! I highly recommend Patri - wonderful local gem.

Definitely recommend! This is a place that offers a lot of options that you wouldn’t usually get in a British Indian Restaurant. This has a variety of vegetarian and meta dishes as well as dishes with varying levels of spice. I recommend the Kebab Curry with mixed meat as well as Murgh Malai Tikka and Don Chaat. It was all really good. The only drawback is some people might find the place small of a little pricey, it is about £30-£40 per person.

Good food, but beware of the pricing - they add VAT on at the end so it's no included in the price shown on the menu. This is quite an unusual place, not your typical Indian restaurant. It's a relatively small menu (which is good as it's more likely to be cooked from scratch). The food is fabulous and the staff are friendly. On the negative side, it's a little bit cramped, and the tablets are a bit small. It was a bit of a juggle with the food on the table. It's also very expensive. It's the most we've ever paid for an Indian meal. This is because, unlike virtually every other restaurant I've been to, they do not include VAT in their menu price, so you're adding 20% onto the bill. They also charge a 12.5% service charge, which I don't like. I probably won't go back because of the prices.

Sadly, the food let's this place down. Whilst the flavours of most are good, the content of the meat and fish dishes are questionable to say the least. Our table ordered a fish curry, and the pieces seemed to be 90% batter chunks with barely any fish content inside at all. Additionally the lamb mince kebabs were definitely not composed of authentic minced meat, as they could be mashed with a fork! Disappointing, and hopefully they take on board this criticism, as it's the wrong place to try and cut costs. Quality of food ingredients should be the finest, then this could be considered a good restaurant.

Really great vegan options here. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful which is always reassuring. The one minor issue was my vegan dish (samosa chaat - definitely recommend, absolutely delicious) arrived way before the rest of the dishes/sides so was cold by the time everything else arrived which was a shame. Still, food gets 5 stars even cold, couldn't fault it and will definitely be back. Also great cocktails.

Service was warm,friendly and good. The starter chaats were tasty. Especially the Kale Pakora Sweetie Chaat. We had high expectations for the Railway Mix Grill, however it was disappointing. Not at all tasty and very untypical for Indian food. It was served with broccoli with cheese and chicken with cheese. The main curries were very average and again lacked flavour. The lamb kebab handi masala was soft and tender but full of fat that had not been removed. Daal Makhani and Chicken Tikka Makhani were bland. At the time of ordering I did ask the waiter to give guidance on the amount of food to order for our group. But alas the guidance was not good, we over ordered by 25%.

Lovely food, great experience, friendly service, really enjoyable

First time being here and I don’t think I will ever get over the food, warm hospitality, and sweet vibes. Quantity was more than enough for two people per curry! The food was so authentic, from pickles, chat and all the curries (we had dal makhni, paneer, samosa chat)!

We went a few weeks ago and I’m still thinking about how good the food was! We got the vegan thali and topped it up with a non-vegan main across 3 of us and it was a perfect amount of food. So flavorful and not too oily or spicy - simply delicious food with home-cooked vibes 😊 Staff are friendly and atmosphere is great as well!

Lovely midweek supper here, the sharing vegetarian thali for two was delicious and came with plenty of rice and bread. Would go back!

Went here on a Sunday evening, we got a starter and the thali, which came before the starter. The portion sizes were rather small considering the price is £33 for the thali. We also asked for extra spicy, but it wasn't. Also the food wasn't very hot. There's no ambiance and the furniture looks tired, the table was sticky...We were the only ones in the restaurant for the whole duration. Also most of the draught beers were out. I would not recommend this place, rather expensive and underwhelming with standard food. 12.5% Service charge added.

This is my favorite local spot. Low key but wholesome indian street food with delicious chaats! So many options that you will find your favorite one of sure. Great for sharing accompanied with a fresh beer or their special cocktails.

Nice experience and good food. The chat samosa was the best dish we had, as a starter, albeit that it is a main dish. Maybe they could consider making a smaller dish as the starter. But it was good food all round.

Excellent food and very friendly staff! The menu is a bit overwhelming but the staff helped us pick.

Food is good but Service is very slow. Three people servicing should divide functions on the floor. One person for drinks, 2nd for taking order + billing + clearing tables, and the third person for getting the food. Or if you can't divide them by function, have each one of them mapped to a section of the restaurant - one for tables outside, one for the middle section and the one person for the tables at the back.

Easily the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. My wife and I were stunned how delicious it was. It has the subtle nuance of a chef who is passionate about cooking made with wonderfully fresh ingredients. Some highlights: the somossa chaat was transcendent and the FRESH gulab jamun tasted like buttered popcorn. I’ve never had anything like either of them before. This place should triple their prices and start vying for a Michelin star.

Fun street food casual dining restaurant serving an excellent range of well cooked, good quality ingredient, delicious dishes. We ordered probably too many starters - but we just couldn’t decide as they all sounded so good - and they were! The samosa which came on a bed of rich and fragrant daal was spectacular. The chicken murgh was creamy and succulent. The lamb kebab was packed full of flavour and very tender. The addition of the boyfriend chaat, which were tasty bite size morsels, was probably one first course too many - but they were just all so very delicious. We followed with chicken curry and lamb rogan. The deep richness of the rogan gravy made us keep eating way beyond being full, as did the spice packed chicken curry. Absolutely everything was packed full of well thought out spices, which made for full flavours which were not overly chilli hot, (which always diminishes a dish with heat just for the sake of strong chilli burn). The staff were attentive and friendly. We washed the meal down with a couple of rum punches and pints of draft Cobra. What we couldn’t eat, they offered to pack up for us to take home - which we did. This made lunch the following day a second delicious experience. The restaurant decor is fun and welcoming resembling slightly a railway eatery. We will definitely be back, and before that we will definitely be ordering from Deliveroo as we luckily live in the right radius. I would whole heartedly recommend going to Patri. I would definitely recommend going hungry to make the most of what’s on offer.

Booked at short notice. Was busy considering we went in fairly after opening. Couldn’t fault it. Would return if we were in the area again!

This popular place from Insta is quite disappointing. Food is prepared from canned preserved tomato gravy which makes it tasteless. The desserts were horrible.

This place is a quality of quantity place. The prices are high but it is quality and the staff are super friendly and attentive. The food was great, we booked outside but was a little too cold and they let us to move inside without any trouble or fuss. I believe the manager? Or head waiter kindly explained the foods and was very encouraging. Wonderful experience (sorry forgot to take photos)

I made an online reservation for 2:30 PM but was later asked to arrive early because the restaurant closes at 3 PM. Despite arriving 20 minutes early, we were rushed and informed that we had limited time. The service was poor, and the tables were sticky. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service, and the food was just okay.

It is more of bistro and the ambience takes you to an old indian parsi shops like feel in a good way. I loved it how they have a window in middle and rustic chairs, tables with indian city name on top. We came here to celebrate our friend’s bday and they haven’t disappointed us with those big thaali’s. It will cost you somewhere around 35 which they mention as enough for too and they not kidding it. I think they are reasonably price and the taste is really really good, I would recommend to be here try some of thaali’s on share. The only reason I gave it 4 is because of the lamb curry, lamb wasn’t good but the curry was good.

Lovely casual restaurant for delicious, authentic Indian food. The portion sizes are large and perfect for sharing. I enjoyed the samosa chaat, masala fries, and the daal makhani. We were even given a complimentary raita, which was very kind.

It is a lovely little restaurant with a very friendly service, delicious food. Ambience is casual, relaxed. We had chefs thali for too which was plentiful. Pink lady cocktail was to die for. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered for the first time last night and I felt it was a bit expensive until I started to eat the lamb spicy secret curry which was outstanding. The meat fell apart and the sauce was on another level. I also tried the butter chicken which was again beautifully flavoured. Only changes I would ask it dishes to e sealed in cling film and marked. 10/10. Will be back. Came back and the secret lamb curry was made with KEBAB skewered meat. The sauce is still tasty but it was meant to be lamb.

Great tasting food, the portion sizes are generous. I had a half portion of the rogan josh and couldn't finish it. My husband had a quarter of the daal makhani, it was in a nice thick sauce and was "very tasty".

Pre-show dinner and we’re so glad we came across this delightful restaurant. The starter was I think, the most delicious plate of Indian food we’ve ever tasted. I seriously could have eaten the plate by myself! The Tahli for 2 was lovely and went down a treat with the Malbec on offer. I loved our server, he was so friendly and authentic it was such an enjoyable meal and dining experience. The next time we’re in the neighbourhood for another show, we will be back!
