We booked The Green Inn for a family birthday meal. We all (12) had the Sunday roast... choices were Lamb or Beef, plus veggie option. The food was outstanding, amazing value for money. Service was fabulous. It's a real gem of a family pub and we would highly recommend it. We will definitely be booking again soon.

Delicious Sunday roast followed by a delicious fruit crumble. Don't normally review pub/ restaurants, however so impressed needed to share!

This is our first visit to this superb venue and it won't be the last. The food was absolutely fabulous, presentation, taste and service. A really good establishment for food, drink and a wonderful place to meet friends or business partners. Excellent and great for all. Welll worth many a visit.

Stopped here over night with the camper van. Exhausted and hungry from our travel. Staff were awesome and made us very welcome. Other customers were very welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing. Be warned tho. The green inn burger leaves no room for the beautiful desserts. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended

Absolutely wonderful... The staff were attentive, pleasant and catered to our every need. The food was excellent and having two menus made it even more enjoyable as the food varied from basket meals to dinners. The pricing was very affordable and we will definitely be coming here again

Unfortunately there was a CASH ONLY drinks van, with no customers, at the bottom of the beer garden playing INANE POP MUSIC and ruining the peace. Why ruin a beautiful spot with idiot music? Who carries cash these days? If I ever see it again I hope it has no music and takes card like it's 2023.

Called in after a day out. Food had stopped been served, however the very friendly owner made us some food and it was cooked amazingly. We had 1/2 chicken with chips and salad, very succulent chicken with yummy crispy skin and a nice fresh salad. Friendly and prompt staff, 10/10 for food. Would definitely return. 😊

Fantastic food and service. Went all out to accommodate 44 of us for a three course xmas meal. Food was 5* quality and all served piping hot. All staff were lovely. Highly recommend and i am sure every one of us will be returning. 😀😀😀😀😀

Wonderful pub in stunning location with expansive views of the hills. We visited while travelling home. Great atmosphere and full of locals who were very friendly. My type of pub, if only it was not 200 miles from home. I tried the station bitter which was certainly to my taste. Will make a point of visiting again and have a meal too On a sunny warm day the beer garden is the place to be.

Visited on a busy Friday evening during lockdown. Not much effort by management to ensure social distancing or the enforcement of masks and I didn’t feel safe here. Food was your standard greasy pub meals, reasonably priced, and large portions. The staff were so stressed out they were nearly running around, and didn’t have time to check on customers - a problem during this time where only table service possible. I appreciate that the staff have a tough job, and hope their wellbeing is being considered by their employer as I left the pub nearly as stressed as they looked.

Called on the off chance and ordered a roast dinner . The dinner was well cooked and tasty . The only fault being one roast potato and one boiled potato. Definitely need at least three roasties .The puddings lovely . Food well priced and the servers were pleasant and helpful .

Sat on the socially distanced tables in the beer garden. Food was fantastic quality & well priced. Staff were accommodating for our dog & brought out a water bowl for her. Staff were very friendly & polite. Beautiful pub 👌🏻

Food was amazing but sad to say was not made to feel welcome esp with staff we left feeling we were not welcome no customer service skills at all esp with blonde lady who served us we thanked staff as we were leaving but no reply this pub needs bubbly staff as seen on advert to make customers feel valued and make them want to return

As this was our first meal out since restrictions were eased we were really looking forward to it. On arriving there didn't see any social distancing at all,our meal was average at best,my medium rare steak was well done,we ordered another drink that didn't arrive,sat there for fifteen minutes looking at finished course plates,went to bar and asked if we could see the sweet menu,girl brought it,nobody came back to see if we wanted anything,payed the bill and left.very disappointing, lovely pub,badly run.

Booked a table for 3 adults and 4 small children for dinner.Yesterday evening. On a arrival it was not busy. As we started dessert, a family was seated on the next table, back to back with us. We explained to the waitress that there was no social distancing and 2 of of our party were vulnerable. The new party had not yet ordered.. She went away. 2 minutes later another waitress came to the table and suggested that we could all get up and finish our desserts in the back bar. Amazing customer service (NOT) and flaunting of the rules that are kept by good establishments for the safety of everyone. I do have photographic evidence.We left the desserts, paid and left. All tables by now had persons seated ready to eat with no social distancing in place.Obviously will not be back again.

This was my 2nd visit to the The Green Inn. I had booked approx a month in advance and as there were 19 of us for a joint birthday celebration, the restaurant asked us for a pre-order. This was sent to them a week in advance. Our booking was at 1pm. On arrival we were shown upstairs to our table, the waitress told us she’d be back in a minute to take a drinks order. This never happened so we went to the bar individually. Several trips up and down stairs. Whilst all sat at the table waiting for starters which we had pre-ordered, another large party who had sat down after us and ordered whilst there started to receive their starters. At 1.40pm we asked the waitress where our food was and she just said it was being done now. At 1.50 we finally started getting the starters. When we questioned why we had to wait so long when we had pre-ordered, the response was “they didn’t know we had all arrived!” One of our party responded with we told you we were all here when we arrived and the waitress quite clearly rolled her eyes. One of our party had to leave and cancel her order, due to the amount of time we had to wait. The service we had today was appalling, we literally watched whilst the waitresses kept bringing drinks up to the other party and we didn’t even get asked. We only got asked if we wanted dessert after we had got the bill and most of us had left. The attitude of most of the waitressing staff was pretty poor. It’s just frustrating as this event had been a long time in the planning and it really did spoil our day. We never had any sort of apology about any of this. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the food was actually quite nice.

Visited with four friends today and once again had a smashing meal. Can thoroughly recommend the beer battered cod and homemade chips. The food was excellent, well presented and good value for money and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good job staff!

Called for lunch, lovely welcome from staff and roaring fire, we had pate and chicken goujons both very nice. For mains we had steak and ale pie and hunters chicken the pie had lots of meat and a lovey gravy. Very nicely presented on a lovely plate. No room for pudding. A lovely friendly welcoming place to have lunch, well done to staff.

This is an oasis in the Oswestry dessert for good pubs that were open over the Xmas period.The food is excellent , good value and the staff very helpful and friendly. It is also dog friendly. We had a light lunch which was excellent, everything fresh and the chips to die for. Not oven chips with a funny taste but proper chips.Definitely recommend.

Had a lovely meal with my family ,the staff were very polite and friendly, they were very attentive. The food was brought to us all together and there were five of us .The food was piping hot and perfectly cooked .The steak and ale pie was fantastic, the veg was cooked perfectly, well done to all the staff and the chef is fantastic, this was our second visit and we will definitely come back next time we visit Wales.

Was dubious about eating here as previously had been very slow and basic. However we where totally surprised at the meal, service and price.. Will definitely be visiting again.

The four of us arrived on time and were pleased to find parking as everyone would need it as it's fairly remote.We entered to find a busy bar & restaurant and was informed our booked table was upstairs ?.Not too good as one of our party has stair climbing problems. We got to our table but not before my wife had slipped up on numerous food on the landing at the top of the stairs outside the kitchen.Also the stair handrail had a sticky gravy like substance on it which soiled our hands.We sat at our table and was then informed that we had to vacate quickly as the table was booked for a second sitting which was never mentioned to us when we had booked ?. We mentioned this to the waitress and she very abruptly & defensively said "I didn't take the booking".We also mentioned the dangerous fooddebris which she said would be cleaned up. We had to walk down the steep stairs, get a plate & queue at the carvery. We then had to walk back up the stairs with our carvery & gravy. Not good. We could then see where all the food & gravy up the handrail & stairs came from.The food was OK but we couldn't enjoy it as we were under pressure to finish & leave.Would I go again CERTAINLY NOT.

A large group of us had a great meal at the pub, now that it is under new management. The food was very good and there were plenty of options. We were impressed with the service and the bar staff. Worth noting the starters are a very good size. Thank you

Travelling to Pwllheli from East Midlands, was hoping to make it all the way but kids woke desperate for food (Apparently being asked to wait another hour for food was classed as child cruelty, according to my 11 and 8 year olds anyway). couldn’t find a mcDonalds or Subway nearby but stumbled across this little gem. Food, service and price were great. Kids have asked if they can revisit on the way home which is always a good sign. Would highly recommend

Warm welcome and lovely pub atmosphere. Laid back lunch from the two course menu. Beer and food very nice. Home cooked food which was very good value for money. Could sit here all day but too full up and sleepy. Would definitely recommend.

Never had such a terrible experience in a long time! A family meal was ruined by our terrible evening.

Once a month a friend and I meet up for a catch up, it was my turn to choose where we go and I selected The Green Inn and wasn't disappointed

The green isnt too far away from my place of residence , but everytime we go wether as a couple or as a family the food is good wholesome cooking. A great choice at affordable prices. Young management always looking to better themselves. Also each year they hold a fantastic all day music event...worth a day out...get a taxi to fully enjoy the day.

Food was very good and reasonably priced, the pub is clean, bar service is good y areas are tidy.

Fantastic meal as always. Friendly staff. We all had midweek meal deal £9.95 for two courses. Great value for money. Too full to eat all of my main after starter. This is our favourite local place to eat.

Lovely surrounding countryside and very pleasant internally. We called in for a meal at a quiet time mid-week, quick, efficient service and a very agreeable 2 course meal for a really good value £10. Portion size seemed enormous and very good quality. We shall most definitely return

Hadn't visited pub for while,surprised to see it modernised in a sympathetic way. Staff were very helpful and very efficient, food was unbelievably good for price. £10 for 2 course, good quality and quantity. Outside areas great for sitting out and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Excellent.

We called in for a snack lunch enroute to North Wales & each had a tuna baguette whilst sitting in the beautiful garden. Delicious baguettes, which arrived with unexpected extra chips, were a good filling lunch. Definitely worth stopping off there.

Called in with a few friends and we will definitely be returning!! The staff were lovely and friendly and the pub had a great atmosphere. Large range of drinks and then we decided to order food which we couldn't fault and all well priced! The chips were lovely proper homemade, all hot and tasty Look forward to returning

Just had a fantastic meal i had fillet steak and my husband had t bone steak, service great, food fantastic no complaints at all. Thank you for a great meal .

Poor experience - put in an upstairs room on our own with no lights on. Unsure why when there were what looked like empty tables in the downstairs lounge. essentially forgotten about for an hour despite being told twice someone would take our order. Food took too long to arrive, and 10 minutes after finishing my starter was told they’d run out of buns for my burger, so had to switch. Was quite surprised when I saw a member of staff on a break then eating a burger in a bun at the bar.

Nice to have option of the Cravery or full menu. We opted for the Sunday Carvery

We had a room to ourselves which was lovely as we were a big party. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The food was only just ok. The salmon was so small that it looked as though it had been shared with others! The beef tough, the pie grist and starters greasy. Shame as it is a great base to meet

I looked on trip advisor for the green inn. Hoping Sunday lunch would be good. How disappointed was I. I went with my husband and grandson. The beer was overcooked, including the pork and turkey. A very poor selection of vegetables. When I complained they did suggest a replacement but the damage was done, my grandson refused to eat his turkey because it was so dry. So for future customers remember this if your happy with really well done meat then this is the place for you. I will not be returning.

Driven by several times decided to pop in for lunch was not expecting much as car park only had 2 cars and it was a Tuesday lunch time, so knew it would be quiet, inside was lovely and warm with log burner blazing away friendly greeting on arrival we settled down to enjoy a pint, the menu had a good selection of what sounded like tasty food wifey ordered the steak and ale pie whilst I opted for the salmon both meals were served very hot and tasted great there was limited veg on them and portions were a decent size like I said it was mid day on a quiet day the meal easily met our expectations was hot tasty and enough. Yes we will return as now have our caravan pitched in the area.

On way back home and spotted the pub open. Good beer, good choice of food to suit all tastes. Great open fire!

We went here while on holiday as it was fairly near to where we were staying. The food was fantastic. Hot well cooked and tasty .we had the fish and chips ribs and chicken burger .all was great .we also had the syrup sponge pudding. Wow it was gorgeous. The staff were very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend and we will go back next time we come back to the area .

Hadn't been to The Green Inn, for a couple of years, but decided to call in on my birthday for lunch. We arrived at 12 20, and had a choice of tables, we almost didn't stay, as the floor and chairs in the eating area was littered with food and crumbs. It was very, very cold in the pub. After deciding we needed some food after driving from Glyn ceiriog, we decided to stay and give it a chance,on the plus side, the staff, and the food, were excellent. We ate from the 2 courses for £9.95. We felt we had to eat up quickly as I suffer from severe arthritis, and the cold room was making things painful for me. They were just lighting the log burner, as we left, after someone else commented on the cold. This could have been a lovely birthday treat, but the food and staff were let down by the lack of cleanliness on the floors and chairs. My chair had ground in peas, and crumbs which had to be brushed of before we could sit down.

Really great roast, the roast potatoes where excellent, the staff where all very friendly. We all enjoyed the food. We will be back.

Went to the Green Inn with friends, for a meal. Two of us had the Steak Offer of either a Sirloin or Rump Steak for £10.00, which included,Chips, Onions in Batter, Mushrooms, Peas and for £1.00 extra Diane Sauce. A very Tasty Meal. For £2.00 extra you could have had the Fillet.

Saw the Green Inn on the way to hotel destination and thought it looked nice. Called in on a Friday evening for a meal and without pre-booking and was pleased to see an ample car park which was almost full, didn’t bode well for a meal but enter we did. We walked into a bustling local pub and were warmly welcomed by staff and customers alike. Smart looking and nicely divided into eating and drinking whilst maintaining open environment. The Green Inn appeared to be run by a young team with a professional and respectful manner, they were attentive but allowed us time and privacy. Very professional. We only had soft drinks but there appeared to be a good selection of drinks and the bar area was busy so I guess the beers were good. The food was plentiful, very well cooked and presented and tasted excellent. My steak was cooked as ordered and tasted very very fresh. A good assortment of vegetables and the popular triple cooked chips. My partner chose the ribs and a delightful rack appeared much to her surprise and after tasting delight. Well priced, professionally run, great food and friendly busy atmosphere. Great place and recommend for food. When back in that area we will be going again.

Food was OK and prices reasonable - my wife ordered chicken curry, they came to say they had run out of naan bread, she was offered a garlic baguette instead which she accepted but it never materialised. I chose caramel and apple pie from the dessert chalkboard - they cam back to say none left - so why leave it on the handwritten menu?

Been calling here often over the years, but I’m pleased they’ve got the food right.

We don’t live far away but haven’t been here for a long time but stopped off on the day back from Llanrhaeadr Waterfall yesterday for a drink, and liked the look of the Sunday Carvery so booked for today. So glad we did as it was excellent. The only little niggle is that we weren’t asked if we wanted more than once course as I fancied a starter, but after eating such a huge plateful of roast, glad I hadn’t been asked! Excellent homemade food, especially the creamy mash. Especially love the Prosecco for £2.95 a glass! We’ll be back.

Came across this pub by accident but is by far the best Pub and food outlet in Mid Wales with reasonably priced drinks as well

Decided to drop in whilst driving past. Chose from the 2 course meal deal £9.95.Had burger and scampi which were exactly what you'd expect - cheap and cheerful! Exactly what we wanted.

Haven't been here for sometime. Decided to try out again. What an improvement. Food excellent , hot, prompt and good value for money. Lovely atmosphere and staff. What more could you ask for. Will be returning for sure!!

Called in for a coffee while travelling along the Tanat Valley. Wonderful setting with excellent views.A sign indicated the Inn was under new managementWe had our coffee in the snug it was nicely served and the staff were pleasant and friendly.Noted tha the huge in rating was only2 perhaps this will soon change. All good luck to the new management team.

Breakfast and dinner stops on the way to and from Harlech. The coffee was amazing and the burger we had was fresh and tasty. excellent value

We went for a late sunday lunch and were pleased to find there was still a good selection of food even though the carvery had finished. The garden is quite big with plenty of space and seating. The prices are very good and there are special offers most days of the week. We enjoyed what we chose and I would definitely recommend the chips they are delicious. I think they could have a better system for people sitting outside as the waitresses don't know which table has ordered what and so some numbers with cutlery and condiments before the food arrives would make the experience better.

What's not to like? Warm welcome, lovely food with a good selection, beautiful setting....oh and prosecco on tap! We visited for my Husband's birthday and were not disappointed. The steak was spot on (I like mine rare) and my Husband's hunter's chicken was moist and tender (plus they kindly accommodated several alterations for him). He enjoyed a desert and the final bill was very reasonable. We will be returning!

Called here on our way home from holiday. Had the Tuesday-Thursday meal deal £9.95 for 2 courses. We were able to sit outside with dog with a large umbrella to provide shade on a very hot day.

What a shame to see a lovely old pub in increasing decline . We had a meal ( I use this term loosely) there last night . I wasn’t expecting too much from the food as I know that it’s the standard pub fare of microwaved frozen / deep fried , but the chicken I had was the consistency and taste of a piece of old wood. But the worst part was the attitude of the staff.

went to the green inn for a birthday meal for my grandson tonight.from start to finish everything was first class,friendly staff who new how to pour a pint of beer,the outside seating area with the setting sun made a good ambience for the forth coming meal.when the meals arrived they all came together,and they were all excellent and very filling.thanks to all the staff and we will call back.

Visited this pub for food and wasn’t disappointed. Went with family and 2 dogs. Allowed in bar area, very friendly staff, very clean and excellent food and value for money. That good we went again the next day. Can’t fault it.
