The Green House in Amber Valley

Very busy as it was a bank holiday, there was a longer than average wait for our food, but we were warned of this prior to ordering. Our food was tasty and was good value for money. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the staff were all really friendly, and kept everywhere lovely and clean. We would definately like to return.

We dropped in for lunch on a Thursday. Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and great whith our daughter. The price for food is great value for money. Kids meals are great for probably up to 10 year olds. Good choice and even a pudding in. Overall well priced fantastic. Can't wait to come again

We dashed in here as it was raining, and it was wheelchair friendly. It is a sports bar with huge TVs on every wall and pillar, banging on about the footyball, and the music was a bit too loud. The combination of these was a bit overwhelming, but the place was convenient. The food was ok. I enjoyed my mixed grill – the steak was cooked to perfection. My partner didn't enjoy his though – his steak was tough.

Having lunch at the 'Green House' is an experience which I would rather forget. Whilst on a visit to Belper with a friend we decided to eat here and very much regretted it. My burger was dry, cold and tasteless and served without salad or dressing and topped with cheese which at least would have benefitted by having been put under the grill. Only the chips were acceptable. The service was equally poor with no-one showing the slightest sign of checking to see if we were happy with the food we had been given. I'm finding it hard to imagine a worse eating experience and will avoid the Green House on any further visits to Belper.

Had the Bacon and Cheese Toastie and Dirty Chips off the Perfect for Lunch Menu today. The toastie had hardly any filling in it and was rock hard and didn’t taste of anything. It was like two slices of fried bread stuck together. The chips were ok though. It was the worst food I have been served for years, hence leaving this review. Nobody came to ask how my food was so left it as I was with a friend who will leave his own review. That’s the first and last time I will use your establishment, which is a shame.

Visited before going to cinema across the Rd. Really good beer prices ,we come from Derby and its crazy prices in our bars and restaurants. 1 abbot ale shandy and a pint of carling and dash of lime ,on Tuesday 10th Dec ( my Birthday) good pints and nice atmosphere. We always pop in here before the cinema as its good . From a former Bass pub assistant manager 👌🏻 keep it up 🙂

Only came in for drinks, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, the one thing that let's it down is the ladies toilets. They smell of mould upon entry and need a good clean, the toilets look as if they've never been cleaned, the mirror is full of dust and the sinks are filthy. In need of an upgrade desperately.

Really enjoyed the quiz last night, really nice atmosphere and good laugh with friends! Will come again :)

WE VISITED AT LUNCH TIME WE WAITED 45 MINUTES FOR OUR FOOD AND WHEN IT CAME IT WAS LUKE WARM .NO ONE CAME TO OUR TABLE TO SEE IF EVERYTHING WAS OK, I THEN WENT INTO THE TOILETS TO FIND ALL THE TOILETS HADNT BEEN CLEANED OR FLUSHED FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE AND FOUND A DIRTY DISHCLOTH STILL LEFT IN THE SINK.THE SINKS WERE FILTHY AND THE SMELL WHEN ENTERING THE TOILETS WERE PUTRID. I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE BAR AREA TO COMPLAIN TO THE LADY MANAGER WHO FOBBED ME OFF ( MUTTERED SOMETHING ABOUT THE CLEANER ) AND THAT WAS THAT. IF YOU GET THE CHOICE TO VISIT ANOTHER FOODY PUB PLEASE DO

Great night on a Friday and Saturday, bar staff and door staff very friendly!

Just been in this pub , & it was really big inside , which was a surprise , we had a l9vely meal there , hubby had fish& chips, & i had turkey & ham pie with mash & veg , it was to get some carrots with the meal too , which alot of pubs don't do , & the staff were really friendly , we shall certainly be going back there again . As this was our first there today .

The atmosphere was wonderful and only made better by my server Jack Simms who was excellent and catered to us brilliantly, 10/10 would go again :)

I dined with some friends at the green house last month and we all had a great experience! Excellent food and service, with special mention to Jack. Who went above and beyond, he had a great attitude and ensured we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and time there. 100% recommend, definitely coming back!!

Ordered the Katsu chicken curry. Our server Jack was very kind and ensured we had a good time. We will definitely be coming again soon

Food wasn't great, and atmosphere had too much going on. Football was on which is fine, but then also it was pitch black with strobe lights and also music. All together atmosphere was wrong. Staff were friendly though.

A lovely man named Jack gave me quick service, a lovely pint, great food and an even better smile.

My advice to the pub group is to close down for a week and give it a serious deep clean, I've never been in such a dirty pub from the bar to the toilets.my wife had to try three cubicles before finding one that locked

Club baguette....barely any chicken and it's all cold and soggy. Worst meal ever. Absolutely shocking. No kids cutlery and no kids plate. £18 wasted. Not even asked if everything is ok till i was about to leave. . Only 10 tables in. offered another meal 3 minutes before i needed to leave Someone else complained to.

I have allergies and sometimes get anxious eating at restaurants, but I had such a lovely time here. I was served by Paris and Jack and he made me feel so at ease, nothing was too much hassle!

Came in for the AJ fight and loved the atmosphere and all of the TVs, service was great during the entire match, was served by Jack he was great

Myself and my mother came here for a drink outside your pub on the balcony after a food festival held right next to the pub in belper town centre! Best thing about it all was it was a beautiful summers day after 12 o'clock! Very nice modern pub with nice seating areas n great service what i could see! 😃 I had a pint n mum had a j 2 0 orange. 8/9/24. 😉👍

Friendly staff behind the bar service was quick and the server Jack Simms made sure to go through the order thoroughly to suit my dietary needs, good quality food for the price and really pleasant environment when eating in with the family. Would happily come back again.

Great atmosphere at night with lights and DJ at weekends, cocktails are 2 for 1 which is a great deal! All staff were very friendly and quality of service was excellent.

Better than we were expecting. Not your average 'boil in the bag' town centre chain restaurant. Recommended. Still great we popped in again for another steak. Great food.

Food was pretty good and priced about right, but the portion sizes were very small, which, for me is why I thought it was poor for the money. Very quiet at lunch time so no atmosphere.

Dropped in with our son for Dinner (11th Aug) and it was simple awful, where do we start, Well no Post Mix Dispenser working so the idea of having a pint of Shandy was down the pan, Katsu Chicken Curry tasteless, Katsu Vegetarian Curry equally tasteless, Now then My Meal, (The ULTIMATE CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA!, Your favourite chicken tikka masala served with rice, chips, two naan bread, two poppadoms, mango chutney and a garlic & herb dip) Dreadful with Very Little Chicken with no taste, possible the worst Masala in my life, 2 of the smallest naan's I have ever seen served along with Horrible Sticky Rice and a small portion of chips without the Garlick & Herb Dip?, I suppose they hadn't got that either,

Absolute dump! Filthy tables, filthy bar, filthy everything!!! It wasn’t busy, no reason for the level of dirt!! Arrived at 12.30, popped to the loo and they had not been cleaned from yesterday. Looked around and left. God knows who goes in there!

Food was fine, very busy because of event in Belper Town but still served pretty quickly.

The food portions are perfect food is tasty not so keen on the sticky table and chairs and menu maybe just our booth. Everything else lovely would come back again.

I meet my friends here for coffee every Saturday morning and find there is always plenty of space, nice atmosphere and not too pricey!

Paid £13 for two pints. The toilets were filthy. Not a great experience.

Friendly pub good food and good for live sports. They have a good selection of beers and good food menu. Best place in town to watch the football.

Sausage and mash was just alright , mash was hard like cement. Wouldn't do that again.
