Long time since we shopped at Belper, So decided to try the king street chippy, We say down to eat, Friendly staff and nice clean environment,. The food was excellent,nice and hot and plenty of it too. Nothing was to much trouble and we were thanked for our custom. Such a welcoming restaurant and an idea fish and chip experiance.

Absolutely brilliant best in the area by far

The food and service in this fish restaurant is always very good but my only criticism is that if I owned this place I'd do away with those terrible sauce sachets and put bottles of HP and Daddies on the table those sachets are the pain of cafes whilst the best cafes put the bottles on the tables

Ordered takeaway on a Friday evening came within 40mins, food lovely and hot still and friendly delivery driver. Excellent, will definately use delivery service again.

Food is excellent even if I had to take it to go in the end but food is excellent curry sauce was the perfect consistency chips were all most buttery chicken meat and the home made fish cake needs tad more seasoning But overall excellent

ABSOLUTELY USELESS ordered at empty times and the bloke said he’d put everything in there. I get home and we’re missing 2 portions of chips. It’s now 10 mins till they close and not enough time to get back they get back so can’t even get my money or the chips…

Mixed opinion of this place, used to be brilliant, orders would arrive on time and always be correct. Past 2 orders have been disappointing. 1 order arrived 1 hour 30 minutes early, next order was 45 minutes late and missing chips. Food quality is always brilliant, but the service is lacking currently.

Really enjoyed our first visit to Fish! Kitchen in Kingston. Went to a 7:30 pm booking on a Friday evening as a family of five, and really exercised the menu sharing two tasty starters, tuna carpaccio and calamari, before eating a variety of lovely fish dishes, namely fish pie, grilled red snapper, grilled sea bream, grilled turbot and battered cod and chips. Portions were good, and service friendly. Indeed, our eldest daughter, on learning initially that fish pie was sold out, was delighted when the waiter managed to conjure up another portion following a visit to the kitchen. Looking forward to our next visit.

Ordered online which was easy to do but when I picked up the order it was wrong. I’d ordered a battered cod and a steamed one but 2 steamed ones came. Didn’t return as only realised when I was home.

This has become my favourite place to eat. The fish is so fresh and beautifully cooked and presented, the staff are friendly and kind. I have brought several people here and they have all been equally impressed.

My son from Manchester now brings me to this little restaurant whenever he can. It is absolutely my favourite. The waiters are delightful, the ambience is good, and the food is always delicious. My son and I can’t fault a single thing, which is rare.

Really really good! Wasn’t expecting this. There wasn’t room for to eat with my family at a Gluten Free Cafe so went on my own here. Ordered triple meat and chips and was presented with this 🙌 Really good quality meat. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

I ordered online for collection and it was waiting for me when I arrived. Everything was beautifully cooked and warm enough and my mum & I enjoyed it all. Mini fish, scampi (full to the coating, not full of air like some can be!), chips and mushy peas. Very tasty and highly recommend! 😋

We had take away, driver kindly waited as he arrived sooner than anticipated and we weren’t quite home, he kept the food lovely and warm even though we’d spoken and I said he could leave it.

Absolutely beautiful the best place around

Staff very nice & attentive, didn’t rush us to order our main until we’d had our starter. Food was delicious, we had the tempura prawns & whitebait to start and haddock & chips and grilled Halibut for main, all were perfect. Would definitely go back to the Kingston one but would like to visit the Borough Market one too.

Be careful if ordering online, I've been let down twice now, over a hour late no correspondence from the shop explaining why,.apart from that when they get it right it's good, but no explaining why a late delivery, apararetly went to another address 🤷‍♀️

Wonderful local fish restaurant. It's so good to find a restaurant that serves a variety of fish other than just cod and haddock. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and the quality of the fish was very good. We had a lovely, friendly server and the restaurant quickly filled up lending to a great ambience. Prices were good - 4 of us with starters and a couple of beers came to just over£120.00 which is very reasonable especially considering it's fish and high quality fish. We are local and this was our fist visit but it won't be our last and expect it to become a firm favourite.

Still as good as ever, always use this place when around that area.

Food: we ordered 2 x mini haddock and chips, one with gravy and the other with mushy peas. The fish was nice, definitely the right size, but if between us we had 10 nice chips, that was it. I enjoyed the peas and my partner said the gravy was tasty with a good consistency. The sign on the window has the 2nd point as "Good hygiene standards". However, there was no sign of any hair nets, nor of anyone taking the time to wash their hands between customers. Petty, possibly, but if you splash it across the window, at least follow up. On the whole, I'd say if you're hungry and they're open, go for it, as it was good value for the fish and my peas - but the chips were very disappointing, and the service could have been friendlier.

Still the best fish restaurant in SW london, it has a full range of traditional favourites and stuff you only get on holiday abroad (Red Mullet) all top quality (Wild Sea bass) as it's straight from the fishmonger next door. The fish soup takes me back to France. Great wines too. And still great value. Friendly and helpful staff.

Called in at Lunchtime on a Friday to see whether we could have Lunch in the Restaurant. No problem, Seated immediately and Order taken Promptly. Everything Freshly Cooked so Expected a Ten Minute wait and that is what it was. Large Haddock, Chips and Curry Sauce, Pensioners Special Cod, Chips and Mushy Peas. Tea and Bread and Butter included. Everything Perfectly Cooked. Both Good Sized Portions. Total Cost £22-80, which I regarded as Good Value for Dine In. Will I call in again.? Definitely.

As always, the fish is first class with a wide choice to suit most palates. Service is very attentive and timely. There is not much atmosphere given that the walls are tiled, the tables are formica and the front part is a fish and chip shop but the quality and choice of fish and seafood are adequate compensation.

Quality fish, beautifully cooked. I had the turbot, my partner the haddock. Also the vegetables deserve a mention - new potatoes and "grown up" spinach. Everything flavourful and the right texture.

Updated 2024. Order arrived from just eat with cold chips and no salt or vinegar. Pie was stodgy and wet. Like it had been microwaved Previous review:Order arrived luke warm but basically almost cold, was fully cold within a five minutes. I normally receive food hot/warm. It was either sat for a while waiting for driver or not stored properly on drive. I did phone and was offered a discount that was not stated on my next order. But that's just not good enough when you pay for hot food. The meat didn't taste the same either but could be because it was cold.

Cracking Fish and Chips from here. We are new to the area and tried this hoping for good things as the reviews are excellent. Didn't disappoint. Amazing value. Wonderful food. What's not to like?
