Great food and plenty of it at great prices

Ordered my mums food to be collected at 6.15pm. On arrival she was told there was no order for her. She's 78 years old and had no idea what to do!! Lady in queue asked staff to help her. 30 minutes it took to sort her order out and they tried to charge her again. I had received an email confirmation so know you had the order.

Food was very good had it delivered ,it was hot and very good

Been here quite a few times, but tonight the chips were soggy and cold and there was a missing item from the order!

Marios used to be perhaps the best chip shop in my area but in recent months they have slowly gone down hill very little toppings on pizzas staff arguing behind the counter not really a good look

They do a fish bite special and is highly recommended Small fish chips fishcake or sausage and you choose your side bargain price too Cheese and onion fry it's are tasty too

It’s fish and chips, low bar really, but for £15, priced far too expensive. Also the delivery driver had a bit of a go at me for not putting location instructions when I’m around the corner of a main road, literally cannot miss it and I already placed my location on the Just Eat map precisely at my front door, made out they’d tried to call me a couple of times and no missed calls. So they didn’t look at the app and tried to guilt trip me for it, won’t be using again.

Delivery came very late, food was delicious, did not follow the instructions as mentioned for the take away.

I ordered for delivery so I can’t comment on the atmosphere, the food here is nearly every time 9/10 out of 10 but unfortunately yesterday I received my food the battered fish was a little too dry which was disappointing considering how much fish cost these days

Yet again ordered by phone to pick up in 15 mins 35 minutes later still waiting it’s a joke ! Always the same too many orders for delivery loads of people waiting , portion sizes smaller but prices gone up. Last time I will be using Mario’s! Sort yourselves out

horrible woman with glasses on counter probs a homophobe she charged me and my bf to sit down and we asked for two portions of chips she gave one and then made my bf pay again if i ever come from leeds best BELIEVE we are walking past :)

Not to normal standard. Chips tasted a little stale and as if cooking oil was old.

Fuming is a understatement , pay £9 for large chips and gravy and this I what I get, you call that large do you? Won't see me again that's for sure. Never mind then 10 minuet pluss wait for chips to cook.

Food was cold on arrival, including the gravy and took longer than first expected.

The fish was very think and had no skin on it making me think they are cut in half had thicker fish fingers very disappointed for the price

Fish wasn’t as good tonight. It was very greasy and not as tasty. I did get a call to say they had run out of large cod. I said we would have small instead thinking the taste would be as good. We was both disappointed.

Friendly staff, great service and tasty food.

Ignored. Small queue on entering. Waited ten minutes and once at the counter was ignored by two different servers. I understand you might be dealing with other orders but it’s polite to acknowledge your customers with at least a little eye contact or maybe even a ‘won’t keep you a minute’. I’m not paying those prices for service as bad as this.

The chips and pie were really stale and cold. Deffo not fresh probs left over from day before. A bit disappointing really.

To order on line, be given a collection time and then have to wait 45 minutes in the shop after the appointed collection time is not happy. I am a regular customer and cannot speak highly enough of the food quality and service I usually experience, however today is not acceptable. At busy times extend the collection time or decline the order please

Great place offering gluten free food on Monday and Tuesday so my son can enjoy a chippy tea :D Only complaint is it's so bust with delivery orders but that's probably because it's so tasty!

Absolute shocking service staff weee lovely but the amount of orders that were going through for delivery reduced the time of in restaurant customers. Woke up this morning and my stomach is in bits never going there again.

Food ordered 10 minutes early which is always good, no faults with anything. Much better price than Dominos for pizza and tasted much better. Doner wrap also was excellent recommend to anyone.

me and my partner love the food if we collect but if we have it delivered (×3 before) it's always late, over an hour and a half for chips and chicken kebab and its always cold to the point we have to reheat :'( make sure to collect not have it delivered

Lovely food from this place although the service can be a bit slow at times depending on the time of day you go but overall good.

I placed an order for delivery at 8:25pm. At 9:40pm I called to chase my order and was told it would be 5 minutes. I then called again at 10:00pm and was told it would be with me in a few minutes. It finally arrived at 10:30 pm.

I ordered a delivery of fish and chips via UberEats. Delivered on time by employee of Mario’s (should have phoned the order direct to Mario’s) Very pleasant delivery driver who kept me informed on accurate delivery time. The order of 2 large fish chips and peas was delicious. And the fish was skinless - really tasty meal. I recommend Mario’s 100%.

Ordered Haddock and a small portion of chips to be delivered to my hotel. All good - on time and hot. Fish was fresh and tasty, chips were good (I prefer mine crispier but these were okay). Would recommend.

BEWARE of their delivery times as they have no idea what they are doing. If you ring the shop they say that the food is "with a driver".....total waste of money! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

We call here regularly and called in with a friend and her visitors today. Always good food, friendly staff and clean fresh looking surroundings. Always a warm welcome. We always have the same meal cod, chips and mushy peas, we don’t have bread and butter though as we know the meal size and would be unlikely to manage that as well as the fish and chips. Excellent food at a reasonable cost a A1 establishment

Waited over 60 mins for a delivery then the baps/cobs break up as you bite into the burger ........ they have the nerve too even charge you a delivery fee

Delivery is very poor, everytime I've had a delivery they have forgotten something!! From drinks to full meals, It takes ages too sometimes 2 hrs, so when they forget something add more time on. Today they forgot a whole meal out and offered me credit for next time I order or they would bring it out, so after another 1/2hr it came, now the food is nice but they never even offer you a free can or something as an apology and I won't be ordering again.

Visited several times as passing through and have been satisfied with the quality of their fish and chips. Fish has been cooked freshly every time I've been and copious amounts of chips every time. Definitely a northern trait to be generous with the chips.Always pleasant and welcoming staff ,well worth a visit

Not the best.. the chips were a bit limp and the cod was thin with a soggy batter. Peas were good. Overall taste was OK but I don't think I will return there's better in the area. Staff were nice snd friendly.

Ordered a meal for 3 people. First time we had ordered from them. It took 70 minutes to be delivered only to find that the chips that were ordered were missing. Contacted Mario's and was told it would be 40 minutes before we would receive them. I will not recommend them and certainly won't use them again.

£18 order for delivery. Everything was fried over to much. Chips was cold and soggy. All I can say won't ever order from here again. And the green rubbish bin. Enjoyed it. Shame........

If I could give “0 Stars” I would. Ordered online, told 55 mins wait. 2 hrs later still no food. Rang again told 20mins it will be there. 1 hr later still no food. Rang again to cancel, told can’t cancel as it’s out for delivery! Shocking service and response. Told can’t get a refund!

Went in for a small bag of chips and a large gravy, that’s it! 5 people came in after me and left before me with a bag full of food, one of the employees was very rude when she was looking around trying to work out who’s order was who, looked at me and said ‘don’t know why she’s standing there’ I had to go upto the counter myself no apology no nothing for her to still get more order wrong. 25mins later I walked out the the SMALL bag of chips and large gravy. Seem to be too busy doing online orders than acknowledging there walk in customers.
