The wrap was pure grease .. it had gone through the wrapper into other rappers of food and into the bag holding the food .. was not edible as it was just pure grease .. very horrible and a waste..

Absolutely terrible place will never order from there again, first the order took over 1 and an half hours to come the food was cold inedible and the wrong order, when I rang to tell them they just dismissed it and were not bothered, worse chippy in Alfreton by a mile avoid at all costs

Delivered to the incorrect address (More down to my terrible, hard to find home location). Thankfully, good neighbours brought it. Food is warm and as expected.

Usually the food is great here, but usually we always call in to order. Tonight we ordered online & decided to get food delivered. After many phonecalls our food arrived over an hour later than expected. The food was soggy and cold. We were starving, so recooked it ourselves. Lesson learned... Pick-up your order yourself.

Ordered my mums food to be collected at 6.15pm. On arrival she was told there was no order for her. She's 78 years old and had no idea what to do!! Lady in queue asked staff to help her. 30 minutes it took to sort her order out and they tried to charge her again. I had received an email confirmation so know you had the order.

As ever - great delivery and great food

Food is normally really good, however tonight's fish was over cooked making it very dry and the delivery appreciated can take longer on occasion but is often slow and tonight took an exceptionally long time close to 2 hours.

Excellence as always and the service is great regarding delivery, fish is excellent as is all their menu and the mixed kabab meat dishes are great value for today's money and can easily be shared between two people. 👍🏻🇬🇧

Food was really good quality, only problem was that it was only just warm. I had the same order last week and was hot. Bit disappointed this week.

Food took 2.5 hours to arrive, when restaurant was phoned they lied and said it was on its way but then 15 minutes later got a notification that it had just left, then when it finally arrived most of it was cold and got thrown away, utterly terrible place with atrocious customer service, avoid at all cost!

Ok, I'm biased i was expecting the fish and chips to be awful, I walk in and it looks like a cheap cafe. By mid was i wrong and kudos to the guys serving the fish was fantastic and chips cooked fresh with steeped mushy peas. Service great but decor too much blue. Definable recommend the fish.. Mmmmm

Food was Great as per Usual Tika Chicken and chips: 3 nice peices of marinated Thigh with healthy serving of chips -5/5 Small chips + Cheese n onion Fry-it (nice to try the fry it but won't have another, mash tato with lil but of cheese n onion - 5/5 (Salt + vinegar very skimpy, better to put on your own) Service: Unwelcoming sad women (5"5 lady with glasses need lots of work) Lads were cheerful-1/5 Atmosphere was warm but Unwelcoming + I think it's very silly to pay extra to sit down-1/5

chips poor and old asked for onion and lettuce on my burger...no onions !!, and the lettuce I got was brown and only about a teaspoons worth and was only Luke warm , shame as it has always been good up to now

The food here is lovely. Unfortunately twice in the last few weeks we have had items missing. Today's order missing chips from a meal deal and last time was a full meal of nuggets and chips. The customer service is second to none and both times have been rectified without any problems. I will definitely be ordering again

The food was lovely. Very clean and warm inside on a cold day. Good value for money as plenty of food. My first visit. We really enjoyed it. I was recommended by a friend who used to visit with his mother many years ago.

Really had enough of this place now... if the food wasn't nice we wouldn't of continuously ordered from them. On the rare occasion, your food is delivered in a timely manner but we've had two occassions where our food hasn't even been prepared. This has been due to the "printer" not printing our order out and a few times it has taken nearly 2 hours for the food to arrive. I'm really disappointed in this service, we've been let down too many times. Looking at the reviews it seems to be an ongoing issue.... just do better

Went in friday night staff were incredibly friendly greeting us as we came in i ordered a large kebab and chips 12" meatfeast pizza and chips with cheese came to roughly £25 really good value for money , went over the road to the shop came back and the lady who served me took the time to double check she had got everything i ordered right , couldnt be any more happier with their customer service they did a great job if you are looking for a local pizza come to marios it was absolutely phenomenal

10/10 chippy. You won't be disappointed.

Since Mario's opened, the family have been repeat customers and it was always really nice. After a gap, decided to get one again recently and the quality has dropped sadly :( (different usage of ingredients, dough used etc). It's not so great now.

At last an excellent chippy in alfreton the fish is perfect every time. Really busy a sure good sign this chippy is worth a visit . The first part of my review is all true but called 14.02.2020 was disappointing ordered to take away and when we got home unwrapped to find my fish cake was missing :(( just couldn't be bothered to go back or phoned but has put us off going again. Sorry for the bad feedback but I just wanted to make you aware I know it was busy but mistake like this shouldn't happen . So I'm afraid I'll be taking one star of the 5 star review I first gave you . 2024 unfortunately the worst experience ever from a take away ordered and had to wait over an hour and forty-five minutes for order to arrive . When the food arrive was like warm and very dry . Such a disappointing service from takeaway that used to be good .

Waited nearly 90 minutes for food, which arrived cold and soggy, and then was missing items. Never again.

Kebab meat burnt, very charred. Ordered a few times but never gotten that right thing. Didn't get cabbage but got cucumber I didn't want.

Ordered on line for collection and was being prepared as we walked in the shop to collect it so that worked well. Fish was lovely as cooked to order but chips needed a microwave session to warm them up and we only live 5 minutes from the shop.

Food here is great but absolutely AVOID delivery for this restaurant!! Delivery times are an absolute joke and food comes cold. Should employ more drivers then wouldn't be waiting 2 hours for your food to come.

Food really good but 1 wrong order We ordered steamed cod but received batted and fried cod in our takeaway order.

Not going to lie, the food is ridiculously good. But the recent price increases have put me off, and the delivery charge is higher than McDonald's.

So lucky to have Mario's as our local. Food is always fresh and delicious and prepared to order. Staff is always friendly and polite and portions are generous. Would definitely recommend!

I ordered my food at 6.25pm and arrived at 8.30 over 2 hrs gor my food when I called them they said it should be with me in 2mins living 2mins in car away from restaurant only for it to take another 25mins which was a absolute joke

Marios used to be perhaps the best chip shop in my area but in recent months they have slowly gone down hill very little toppings on pizzas staff arguing behind the counter not really a good look

They do a fish bite special and is highly recommended Small fish chips fishcake or sausage and you choose your side bargain price too Cheese and onion fry it's are tasty too

It’s fish and chips, low bar really, but for £15, priced far too expensive. Also the delivery driver had a bit of a go at me for not putting location instructions when I’m around the corner of a main road, literally cannot miss it and I already placed my location on the Just Eat map precisely at my front door, made out they’d tried to call me a couple of times and no missed calls. So they didn’t look at the app and tried to guilt trip me for it, won’t be using again.
