This was the second time we visited the Green Door Deli. From the moment we entered we were made to feel so welcome and the food on offer is excellent. I have never seen such large chocolate croissants! A real find and we will definitely be back.

Stumbled across this place visiting Herne Bay for the day. Better than your normal cafe or lunch spot, as it offers a wide variety of more unusual sandwiches, baguettes & plates, allowing for a tasty and memorable lunch. Service was great and very COVID safe.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Herne Bay. Food is lovely, varied and good quality. Visited twice in two days! The eggs benedict on brioche toast was amazing! Coffee also great. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Can see why this place gets good reviews and is busy. Will definitely visit again next time I am in Herne Bay.

We were lucky enough to have a table outside in the late summer sunshine on the pavement without booking. We only wanted a light lunch, a prawn salad and a crayfish salad, very generous, beautifully presented, paprika served on request to give it some attitude. Freshly washed salad and lovely tomatoes accompanied this light salad with a cold ginger beer to accompany it as no alcohol served here, really really good! The bill under £16 for everything - sublime!

The Green Door Deli is by far my favourite place to eat!! The food is absolutely delicious and I love the decor! I particularly love sitting in the new outdoor cabin which is a fantastic addition! The staff are all extremely welcoming and always give a 5* service, going above and beyond to ensure that their customers are happy. I have been particularly impressed with the Covid19 safety procedures that they have put in place, ensuring that their customers feel safe! I highly recommend!!

We used this cafe a couple of times during our break. The young staff are very friendly & professional, they follow all the covid rules. Nice cappucino & pot of tea, tasty sandwiches & warm croissants. Eat in or out.

Stopped by and will definitely return. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Great service and choice of food. Coffee was superb, so much so I had 3!!!! Nothing was too much trouble, and Covid precautions were in place. Do yourselves a favour and make sure you visit

I have to be honest I have not been to the Green door deli before, but I must say I will certainly be back very soon. the food was amazing, great flavors and unique menu. I enjoyed the quirky décor and the atmosphere there, as well as the beautiful cabin out the back. Really well thought out and a great place to eat my lunch. The main thing I was really satisficed with was their COVID 19 protocol. being a person of my senior age you cant be to careful, and I most certainly felt safe amongst the other guests. will be a repeat customer for sure.

The deli is a pleasant place to have just a coffee, breakfast or lunch. Menu has a good variety, service is brilliant. Best coffee in Herne Bay. If you are on your own, a couple or a family you will always get a welcome.

Whenever I visit Herne Bay I always make sure to pop into the green door. Wonderful food in a relaxing environment.

OK coffee OK cake OK milkshake. No ice cream in the milkshake which is always disappointing especially at this price. Poor customer service,snobbish and not welcoming at all with young families with children.Not sure about the deli part either? Nothing to buy to take home?Average at best.

We had a light lunch here on the 12th Sept. The bread they use is made in the bakery next door and is very fresh!!! The sandwiches are well filled. We had prawn in a rose marie sauce with coke and coffee which my wife said was excellent. I wish it had a drinks licence as I fancied a beer. Covid friendly checked your temperature before entering.

The food is always delicious here. Such great friendly service too. The lads that run this place are very friendly and welcoming. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent food compared to our previous visit. Didn’t have my first choice, but my second choice tasted very nice. Customer service excellent, but given COVID, the cursory temperature checks when we went indoors weren’t worth the effort.

Dropped by here over the weekend as it looked lovely from outside. The meet and greet was really friendly and we were sat in a lovely little table with privacy. Ordered the sharing platter and a couple of coffees and there really was nothing to fault here. The food really was lovely, fresh, good quality and well presented. The service was perfect and all at a really reasonable price. Fully recommended and will definitely be returning when we can.

My husband and I had a great toasted sandwich here the best I have ever had. We could not have picked a better place to have our valentine lunch. The Coleslaw was excellent too. Great service, fresh ingredients and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely return.

Quirky little spot in the centre of town (opposite the Cat Cafe!) Pick a windows sit and watch the world go by. We ordered some generously filled tuna sandwiches freshly made and some milkshakes!

New menu and does not ever disappoint and has been newly decorated the owners so friendly not far from the beach

The food is always delicious the sandwiches and baguettes are packed with amazing fillings. The staff are such lovely friendly people and always provide an excellent service. Highly recommend.

Excellent menu (great veggie options) if anything the Goats Cheese Salad at £5.95 was underpriced for such a big tasty portion. Seek out this small gem on your travels.

We popped in this weekend and had a lovely pastrami sandwich and chorizo panini. Delicious food and great service. Temperature was checked before we went in and hand gel available as you go in.

For the past month or so, we have been having our lunch brought to us on Wednesdays (and one Saturday) by the Green Door folks. I can say, without exaggeration, that it’s made the lockdown that little bit more bearable. In fact, our family what’s app group has a recent in-joke “is it Wednesday yet?”. We usually have the meat and cheese platter. It’s sensational. The quality of everything is top drawer and things like the little beads of balsamic in the salad put it in a different league. I could list it all, but just take it from me that it’s all superb. Thank you Green Door for what you’ve done during these difficult times. Everybody, when this hideousness is over, support these guys and your local business. They’re to be treasured.

The food here is always amazing and the friendly service exceptional. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I had lunch here. We had the loaded toasties and a americano and a cappuccino. The food and coffee was delicious. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend.

Had lunch with friends... had been previously.... oh my they remembered exactly how I take my coffee and Bagel it was just like being back at my second home in New York.... I couldn’t fault the delightful staff and the service is absolutely exceptional!!! The real crime de la creme!

We’ve visited the Green Door Deli several times this year and we love it! It’s clean, cosy, the service is brilliant and friendly- to top it off the food is AMAZING.My wife is coeliac and is catered for brilliantly on the menu, I’ve had the porky pig sandwich (pulled pork and macaroni cheese ) and the Eggs Benedict - my wife the tuna melt toastie and poached eggs, bacon and lovely gluten free bread.Highly recommended

Have called in here on a number of occasions, when we can get a seat, as it is so popular, which is good as you know the food is good. Very friendly staff makes you feel welcome. Great cakes and pastry. Do try......

Visited here a few times over the last few months and am always very pleased with the food and service, and it’s very reasonably priced to boot!!

Visited for cafe on recommendation by a friend. The cafe was warm, it had a very relaxed atmosphere very attractive decor but not pretentious. A great variety of drinks to choose from. A very extensive menu if you just want tea and cake or full lunch. All the bread used is made at the bakers next door. I had a ham, green thunder( garlic and herb cheddar ) WOW so delicious and coleslaw baguette, the best I have ever had, and the little balsamic vinegar spheres on the salad !! Delicious. Won't need to go anywhere else for coffee/ cake or lunch in Herne Bay, ever again . Keep up the good work. Congratulations.

Only popped in for a coffee but I totally fell in love with this little gem of a place. Loved the interior and all the food I saw come out looked amazing and after browsing the menu really very reasonable.

The food is freshly prepared and a lovely range. Good prices and a nice atmosphere with an outdoor area when the weather is fine.

I haven't visited my home for a few years and my daughter recommended this little cafe for lunch. It turned out to be a great place to eat.

Once again , beautiful and well presented meal. Prawns and Avocado with yusu dressing. Followed by banoffee pastry and lovely coffee. Excellent service.

A fantastic lunch and great value for money. The quality and range of food was brilliant, will definitely be going back! Would recommend the salads as the goats cheese salad was delicious and only £5.95. The salt beef bagel was also amazing.

Been a few times now and such a great little deli with fab menu. Are both in and outside in the small courtyard. Service is great, food presentation is fab, love the balsamic balls! 👌🏻 Decor is chic and stylish.

I was looking for places to go for lunch in Herne Bay and I was not disappointed.

The food in this café is superb. It is rare to see a menu with so many amazing choices and so much of the food locally sourced. Excellent value and friendly staff. Great coffee too. We will be back many times and we would thoroughly recommend it to others.

If you’re looking for somewhere for a spot of lunch in Herne Bay I would highly recommend this deli. The menu is extensive, food is excellent quality and the staff are friendly and polite. This place is a great find, food is great, I had eggs Royale just this morning, my grandson had milkshake and it comes in a little milk bottle just like they used to do at school.

Having visited the Green Door Deli on several occasions it was a safe bet for a tasty lunch, great Pulled Pork & Smoked Cheese Panini 👌🏻 We will be heading back very soon. Keep up the good work

We were looking for a light lunch for two adults and our 3 year old and I am so glad we came here! Lovely ambient atmosphere and a beautifully decorated cafe. The staff were welcoming and the waitress provided phenomenal service, particularly with our son and a tricky order to accommodate different tastes. The food was beautifully presented, delicious, and arrived quickly - the meaty sandwich was particularly impressive (see photo!) We’ve already recommended it to our family who are staying nearby and we will definitely pop in next time we visit.

My husband I went in for lunch as it’s been recommended by many people. We ordered drinks and a plater. Due to my dietary requirements I can be quite fussy. The owners were completely accommodating and adjusted the platter accordingly.

Stopped in for a late lunch- partner ordered a salt beef sandwich which was tasty and came with a side salad. I had the sausage roll hot with coleslaw and salad. Really tasty- nice atmosphere. Friendly staff- we will be back :)

Busy...always a chance whether you will get a table or not. Garden area with tables but not good in bad or cold weather. Drinks reasonable. Food very good quality and they use local fresh products. Sausage rolls and pastries lovely. Friendly staff.

We only stopped off for a coffee which was excellent but looking round the tables the food looked really good. If we were ever in the area we would certainly revisit. Friendly staff.

My wife and I spent last Saturday exploring Herne Bay.... we came across the Green door deli, it was cosy,quaint and welcoming they offers a great array of food the list of freshly made sandwiches was exhaustive all well priced and came out nicely presented!

Had not expected to find this lovely restaurant at this location. The staff were super friendly and my tuna bagel was divine! They accommodated my little girl's request for a ham and cheese panini, which wasn't on the menu. We will definitely go again!

This is such a lovely café for great food in a great atmosphere. I love coming here for lunch with my husband or bringing the kids in for a cake or pastry. They are all so good. A regular haunt for us! Veggie friendly as are a number of places in Herne Bay, which is great.

These boys know what they are doing.... the food and drinks are faultless as it the service. Great place to visit with my daughter every Tuesday morning for a breakfast treat. Keep up the good work fellas!

Love this place with the fresh and varied menu, would defo recommend the Christmas sandwich its just the best. Such a friendly atmosphere and the staff can’t do enough for you. We booked direct through Facebook so was guaranteed a table as it’s such a popular place to nip for a coffee or lunch.

Small, quirky café with rustic/shabby décor. We were lucky to get a table as this is a very small (maybe only 6 or 7 tables inside?) café/coffee shop and obviously popular with all age groups. We enjoyed an excellent de-caff. coffee, hot chocolate and vanilla milk-shake, plus rocky road, millionaire's shortbread and a blackberry granola slice. Not to mention the take-away caramelised onion sausage roll - proclaimed excellent also!).

A brilliant little deli. I was out walking with my two children, looking for lunch/coffee. We wanted to sit outside because we had our dog. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful getting additional chairs. Food was brilliant and my flat white was really good.

Went here for a coffee and sandwich with friends, jeez, the food is so tasty and yummy I can't wait to go again and try another sandwich. Yes its small and busy but well worth waiting for a table to become free. Everything from the decor, service, food etc is excellent and deserving of 5 stars. Well done to all the staff.

My favourite meal is a cheese ploughman’s and I ordered the platter for one. As you can imagine I am aficionado of ploughman’s or similar dishes. Well what can I say the meats and cheeses were of a superb quality. The best I’ve eaten in a similar dish. It takes a lot to impress me with a simple ploughman’s but this really hit the mark. There was a nice relaxed, chilled vibe with fabulous music too. Not only that but staff were friendly and I was served quickly. I couldn’t have asked for more. Many thanks to the team.

I love a good coffee and it has to be good. The first time being taken here i was hooked. The Boys that own it run it with passion and that shows in every aspect of this place. I love the coffee here and there cakes are incredible. I have been back time and time again for coffee, lunch and cake. The food is exceptional and made with passion, love this place and is now my local thanks guys and girls.

Had a stroll into Herne Bay did a little shopping then went into the Green Door Deli lovely hot sausage roll and goat cheese tartlett both delicious with a little salad, we finished off by a lovely cup of coffee and pot of tea served by very pleasant staff and owners worth a visit.

Wonderful food very reasonably priced in a lovely environment. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would eat there regularly if we lived in the town.

We sat outside as it was a warm Saturday and ordered the big meaty sandwich and the cheesy one toasted sandwich and both were delicious and couldn't finish them as the portion sizes were so large.

We went to the Green Door Deli for the first time on Saturday and were given a great welcome and allowed to take in our small dog. The menu is brilliant and not in the least bit boring. I had the salt beef and my husband had a meat and cheese platter. Coffee great too. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Went here for lunch with my partner. It was absolutely fantastic, I had the meat and cheese plater that allows you to choose two meats and two cheese all sourced locally. My partner had the fisherman’s platter and that was as equally amazing. Not to mention the fantastic choice of desserts and sweet treats. This place is a must try if your visiting the Bay. Great value for money.

We had read the reviews and we're looking forward to this one. Unfortunately we had to sit in the window with a plate on our laps. Not easy with a sandwich with its contents tumbling out onto you and the floor.

I am really obsessed with having lunch at Green Door, and I really want to visit for brunch soon. They make delicious sandwiches, salads, charcuterie platters, burgers etc. Its all really delicious and tastes truly homemade. Its small, there isnt always a place to sit, sometimes there's a long wait, but worth it.

Popped in for lunch and we were lucky enough to get the last remaining table. Service was very good and the food excellent and great value. Obviously this Deli's reputation is growing as quite a few people had to be turned away and unfortunately the weather was not quite warm enough for the tables outside. Very generous portions and all the food appeared to be very fresh. A must if you are visiting Herne Bay during the day.

We happened upon this place in the pouring rain and were made welcome as soon as we walked in. We had tea in front of us almost straight away.

Have never had a bad meal at this establishment and only wish it wasn’t so difficult to get a table!

Met a friend in here for a cuppa and a catch up at 3 on a Saturday. Sadly in Herne Bay all the tea shops seem to shut up shop at about 3.30 despite us shoppers looking forward to a cuppa after our shopping spree. The Green Door Deli is no exception with the serving of food stopping at 3.00 for a 3.30 close.

Fantastic little cafe. Serves amazing selection of food and cakes. I had a goats cheese, roasted peppers and walnut baguette and my friend had a pastrami bagel. We couldn’t resist the cakes so had a slice of orange cake and a chocolate scotch egg! The deli was super busy and they were short staffed but service was really friendly but we weren’t rushed at all. Highly recommend.

We are a family with two youngsters. Every time we visit this cafe in the centre of town we always feel happy after. The food is spot on and the owners blend great food with a relaxed ambience. The coffee is really nice and cheaper than most places. The ploughman’s platter is really good also.
