Popped in to the Greedy Pig with my best mate to grab a bite to eat and to escape exam and assignment pressures....and oh man did The GP deliver! Never eaten here before, but they served me the best pulled pork roll of my life (and certainly made me forget about my impending deadline doom for the 5 minutes that it took me to scoff it down!). Great service too- Becky was a star. Would recommend this place to everyone, and will certainly be returning! x

We have now visited The Greedy Pig and The Pink Pig 2-3 times with our little boy and every time we have loved it. Today we had a really delicious lunch in The Greedy Pig, our son loved picking all the different parts of his lunch box, you can choose up to 5 and he ate every piece. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and our food came very quickly which is great when you have a 5 year old itching to get into the play barn. We really enjoyed our visit today and would recommend for lunch if your visiting The Pink Pig or not, either way it’s a taste. We’re all looking forward to our next visit!

First time visit with family and mixed feelings. Although what was eaten was good food, three of the six orders had to be changed due to unavailability due to a kitchen issue. Sadly these were childrens choices and selection for them was then limited

We had a day out a pink pig and decided to have a stop in the greedy pig cafe. I'm so glad we stopped, the food was amazing we had burgers and a wrap and ohhh gorgeous doesn't even cut it. The service was amazing even though it was busy, i would like to say how great Lucy is. She was very patient as I kept changing my mind and remembering things I forgot. I'm a mum of a young baby and my mind wasn't with it. So I would recommend it to anyone. We will be there again as I was jealous of how good the breakfasts look so I know what im ordering next time.

I visited the Greedy Pig during the really bad snow and weather in March. When I arrived I was the only customer and what a warm welcome!! North Lincolnshire is not blessed with good 'foodie' places for good coffee and locally sourced food- until now. The food and coffee is excellent and I had a delicious brunch of avocado and poached eggs. Will definitely be making this place a regular visit. Thank you to Sally the owner and the chef who made my visit fantastic!

Booked this online with no problem at all as a " count down to Christmas" treat for 3 ladies who do lunch! Staff were pleasant and very helpful, and the food was lovely with a perfect combination of savoury and sweet delights.Included in the price was a very nice glass of prosecco and also unlimited coffee which we all agreed was very good value for the money. The relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff also made our trip a pleasant experience! We made some purchases from the Farm Shop too! Thank you Pink Pig. Must give a big thank you also to the lady who served us, as she said she was normally in the kitchen.....you did such a good job!

We had the festive afternoon tea. The barn was a bit chilly but so festive that it didn’t matter. The afternoon tea itself was a massive disappointment. The tea and coffee were like you get at church- just instant with a hot water urn which is a little bit rubbish given the prices they charge. The box contained two tiny turkey and cranberry sandwiches, a mince pie, a bit of Christmas cake, a small sausage roll (none of which I eat) and a snowman cookie. So basically I took most of it home to my husband. The kids box was a bit better- at least my son got a cup cake and a Jam sandwich. The Christmas experience was really really good but I wouldn’t ever pay for the afternoon tea again - disappointing!

I recently ate at The Pink Pig with my family to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. The staff were very helpful and had reserved a table and decorated it with anniversary napkins prior to our arrival. They were all very helpful and very accommodating to our party. The lunch we had was very tasty and all the age groups (from 10 - 83) found something on the menu to suit their tastes. The atmosphere is very relaxed and ideal for our needs.

Visited the restaurant today expecting the food to be as good as it was some time back. That was not the case, the quality of the food can only be described as very poor. The fish was very poor quality, the beef burger was extremely salty and thrown into a breadbun without any dressing. I have had better burgers from the supermarket. Overall very dissapointing and there will not be any further visits.

Visited the Pink Pig on Sunday - 6 of us eating including a veggie and 2 picky children - everyone loved their meal. Steak and ale pie, lasagne and pink pig burger for the meat eaters - all delicious. Cheese and Mushroom omelette for the veggie but was good cheese and tasty eggs and definitely a cut above the norm. Kids chicken nuggets were proper homemade affair with lots of real meat and kids burger was a proper adult burger. Chips were amazing. We went there for the playbarn etc but would happily go there just for a meal - really quality stuff. Lovely staff too! Thanks Pink Pig!

I visited the pink pig farm today with my husband and two sons (aged 17 months and 5 years). One of the highlights was a trip to the restaurant for lunch. The restaurant has a lovely country feel to it with oak beams and pretty decor. The staff seemed friendly and asked if my son would like to do some colouring (to be entered into the colouring comp) whilst we waited for our food. We barely waited at all though! The food came really quickly and was very tasty. We particularly liked the home made chips. My husband loved his quiche and I really enjoyed my gluten free sandwich. Being a coeliac I am used to reading allergen lists and I have to say, the one at the till seemed a bit confusing. The staff were very helpful though and were able to advise me about what I could have, so it didn't end up really being an issue. My boys seemed to really enjoy their food too, so everybody was happy! Thanks for a lovely experience, we'll be back!

We decided to try the all new robust Summer Menu, what a waste of time. Out of the 13 main courses which were basically the same as previously, 11 of them came with CHIPS. Do they not understand there are other ways to serve potatoes if you feel the need to serve them with everything. I would expect in summer to see a selection of salads and perhaps more Mediterranean dishes. The choice of desserts is no better, they are apart from Eton Mess the things you would expect in winter. Why no fruit dishes or light desserts. The so called chefs are woefully inadequate in their ideas and need to see what proper food outlets offer, the choice at some of the local garden centres extends to in excess of 60 items and not all with CHIPS. The food itself is poorly presented and even with few customers the waiting time is excessive.Eating and drinking utensils were less than clean and tables left uncleared.

I am an expert on scones. I have tasted them in many places both close to home and far corners of the colonial world. I love a scone with a crispy outside, fresh and soft in the middle preferably studded with dried fruit, smothered in fruity jam and lashings of clotted cream. Most places tick one or two of these boxes, but The Pink Pig gets a big fat full star for their scones. My only observation is that you need a very large appetite as these scones have not suffered from the ubiquitous 'Shrinkflation' and consequently you need to be very hungry to make the most of it. But who's complaining about that?!

A really disappointing visit to the Pink Pig restaurant today. On arrival, we walked in to see a restaurant full of uncleared tables with not a clear table in sight. I had to clear a table myself so that we had somewhere to sit, despite the fact that there were half a dozen members of staff, all doing nothing, that could have done this for us. When I went to order none of the staff were forthcoming to the till where I was clearly waiting to be served, instead they all seemed preoccupied with rearranging tables and oblivious to their customers at the till. When my order was eventually taken, I returned to the table and waited more than half an hour for the food to arrive. This would not normally be an issue, however the restaurant was empty and my order only consisted of soup, sandwiches and chips and so half an hour seemed rather excessive. When the food arrived the chips appeared to be missing and so I informed the waitress of this and she said that she would go and get them. The waitress never returned to the table and so we had to ask another waitress if they were on their way. When the second waitress returned, we were told that the chef was just putting them in the fryer. However, it took many more times of asking before the chips eventually turned up. By this point, we had nearly finished the rest of our meal. When the chips arrived, they were black and swimming in grease. From our table we had perfect view of the kitchen area (as and when the doors opened), and we were mortified to see food and broken plates all over the kitchen floor. As we left the restaurant, the wooden floors were covered in food but yet again the staff appeared to be oblivious to this and instead of clearing the mess, were just standing around.

Came here for Mother's Day and left feeling really disappointed. What could have been a really enjoyable time turned into a damp squib of a day. Turned up at 2pm for our pre-booked meal to see the restaurant already really busy and the staff really struggling to keep on top of things. Having pre-booked our meals we thought there would not be long to wait for our food but it was 3.18pm when our starters finally started to arrive. I had no qualms with the quality of the food which was of good quality and really tasty but the damage to the day had all ready been done. The staff really tried hard to keep things running smoothly but there was just not enough of them and many of the customers, myself included felt really sorry for them.

I went to this restaurant with a family party on Mother's Day. I can only describe this visit as chaotic with people walking out the restaurant after many problems including exceptionally long delays. We had to wait one hour and 30 minutes to receive our meals when we had booked a specific time. In my opinion the restaurant was massively overbooked with no appropriate numbers of staff on duty. The staff did their best but were distressed with the enormous amount of complaints and the inability to provide a good service due to management difficulties. The tables could not be cleaned between sittings glasses were not given out with drinks. The food itself when presented was acceptable some was of good quality temperatures varied as did the actual meals.

My partner booked the restaurant for a a meal for both our parents for Mother's Day at 1pm, we pre booked our meals and were really looking forward to it. when we arrived there seemed to have been an issue with the booking and they didn't have our table ready despite my partner having an email confirming our booking, they pulled a table together for us however we were then told the pre booked meals weren't available and that we would have to have what ever is left, as we didn't want to spoil the meal we agreed to have what they had available, we finally got our drinks we ordered at 1.30, the glasses that came were dirty and the girl behind the counter was witnessed just swilling dirty glasses out and not properly washing them, our starters came at 2pm and they were Luke warm at best, by 2.30pm the starter plates hadn't been taken away so my mother in law collected them together and took them away and asked how long the main meals would be. We were told 5 minutes. At 3pm (2 hours after we had arrived) we still hadn't received our meals, this was the same for everyone in the restaurant, everyone in the restaurant was complaint for one thing or another, the staff was weren't speaking to any customers reassuring us, the management were no where to be seen and just 3 young girls trying to deal with everyone's complaints, by this point we had had enough, we asked for a full refund and left. Over all I was appalled and would never go here again, it ruined our Mother's Day

We visit this place almost weekly but usually earlier in the day when we have a full English style breakfast. Today as we were a little later the breakfast options had finished so I opted for the turkey Sunday lunch. I was really disappointed today with the lack of effort and taste in the produce served. The turkey which was plentiful had a funny taste to it and it was literally served with 3 roast potatoes a pile of red cabbage and carrots. Then a side dish of broccoli and cauliflower. The veg was literally boiled and the gravy didn't taste of anything either so really poor in my opinion. No Yorkshire pudding and little effort seemed to have gone into the food and it's taste. Also when my cup arrived with my tea it was full of crud/food particles so I had to send it back. This was in stark contrast to the breakfast I normally thoroughly enjoy so I was disappointed today. But I certainly wouldn't based on today's lunch recommend Pink Pig for this type of food. Maybe a Yorkshire pudding, a little bit of creativity with the veg and tastier gravy would have improved the food no end.

I've visited the Pink Pig on a few occasions in the hope things would improve. Its a great shame as it's situated in nice surroundings with a large car park. All these things are let down by the restaurant which is highly over priced. The portions are meagre and the food has a lot to be desired. My wife hose the soup which was broccoli and cheese, the soup was very poor , it lacked any nice taste and appeared to have been watered down to make it go further. In any case it was weak.My beefburger appeared to be what I can only describe as peppery or something similar and lacked any beef taste.I also found that at £2.50p for a cappuccino coffee in a small cup rather excessive. The lack of any customers although there was only a few told me that people are finding the same as myself. When are these people going to serve decent food and stop being greedy with their profits? As I remarked earlier their portions were small and with only about 8 chips they don't exactly do much to encourage people to go back.

We visited the restaurant yesterday with my daughter and 2-year old grandson. Admittedly, it was busy, but despite this we decided to wait the 45 minutes that the young girl said the food would take. An hour later, we, together with a couple of other tables, complained about the wait. We were told that we were 3rd in line (after 2 other tables that ordered after us!!). Our food (or at least 2 of the 3 meals) eventually came after an hour and a half. The third one, humus and pitta bread (which obviously took more cooking!!) came a good 5 minutes later. All this after yet another table who ordered after us had been served! It seems that your food comes out in the order you complain, not when it's ordered! If we had been told that our order would take another 30 min after we complained we would have cancelled our order and gone elsewhere, as 90 minutes is a long time to expect a 2-year old to sit and wait. We felt sorry for the young people waiting on as they were having to receive the 'flak' when it wasn't their fault.

Came here today with my 19 month old daughter. We ordered the piglet packed lunch. We had a choice out the fridge of four items. The crisps were hsndcooked crisps and totally unsuitable for a child. The yoghurts were very high in sugar so we selected the fruit and a cheese triangle which for £4.25 was over priced. We then waited for her sandwich which later turned up, half a bun, mouldy bread. I was extremely annoyed and the waitress said she'd exchange it with very little apology. In my opinion, for the money this should be freshly prepared and a full bun for the cost. This is the second bad experience and I feel that neither situation was handled well. Last time I ordered a quiche, received the wrong one, instead of an apology I was told they'd ran out so to compensate they put a sausage on top of the plain quiche. It's a huge shame as this has the makings of an extremely good cafe.

I'm not one to normally complain and do give credit where credit is due but I was left disappointed after my visit here with family for my nieces 3rd Birthday. First of all a family member had asked prior to the visit if they could bring a Birthday cake and was told that there would be a £10 charge for doing so! Makes it a very expensive cake especially if the cake was a shop bought one so they bought 2 cakes from the shop within the place. My elderly parents ordered and paid for fish and chips from the restaurant/cafe and when they arrived we all had to do a double take as the fish was rather small. My father asked if the portion size was right and was told 'yes' until the lady that had been serving came over and said that it was wrong as they were child portions. A few minutes later my parents were given their meals this time with 2 small pieces of fish on. I have to say this problem was sorted out quickly for them and without hesitation from the staff however, we can't help thinking that the small size fish that was about 10cm long was actually the correct size they were serving to all customers and that because we'd complained the staff had just given them extra as a goodwill gesture. If the price of the meals had been reasonably priced we wouldn't have questioned it. My meal on the other hand was excellent 'Piggy Squeak' which was 2 large fluffy potato cakes served with bacon and an egg on top of each. My mother's second piece of fish tasted completely off. Three members of the party tasted it and all agreed that it tasted rancid so we explained this to the staff. My mother was basically told that no one else had complained and all the fish had come out of the same packet so it must be her! I think this reaction is absolutely disgraceful especially as we are not ones to complain normally and out of courtesy was just informing them that the fish may be 'off' as no one was after a 'free meal'. My brother did however hear the conversation about the fish being discussed by staff and suggested that someone tasted it and then they'd know something was wrong with it. My brother was then handed 2 free drinks vouchers as a goodwill gesture. We then went over to the play barn and I mentioned to a family member that on the website it said that children received a drink of squash and a biscuit free during term time up to 2:30pm, it was now 2:15pm so we went and asked and was told it stopped at 1pm! The member of staff did give us the drinks and biscuits as it did say 2:30pm on the website. How long does it take to update the website...not long at all. I just found it a very disappointing visit, as I said at the beginning I don't normally complain but it just seemed to be a catalogue of events along the way and also an expensive place to visit with a small family.

Had lunch here and the food was delicious. My husband had the 'hand made on site' burger and it was so good we placed an order with the butcher that day. The staff in the shop were so friendly, ( and entertaining ), and we had the most pleasant experience that day.

A pub can’t that handle being busy and had bad stop the food service, woooow! booked a table for tonight, and we was kindly walked over to the table where we asked where we order food, and was advised that it was at the bar, which is all good. we looked over the menu & went up the bar to be told that they are no longer serving food!! tell me why you told us we can order at the bar and we told the lady that we was ordering food. disappointment is such an understatement.

The shop is nice, usually relatively clean and the coffees are nice. My only issue is the toilets and some of the staff. The toilet door is broken and if someone tries to open it the door opens on you. Some of the staff are nice such as the tall man and the brunette BM lady. They smile and joke with the customers. However, the lady with blonde/dark blonde hair who is usually on till doesn't smile, or show that she cares about her job, 9 times out of 10 she is stood about while the other baristas do the work.

Top marks all round, 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟, 10/10, 👍👍. Usually when I have to work away I end up in a Travelodge or similar hotel chain because it's generally easier for the office to book etc. This time I found myself working at the Port and found this little gem. It must be a reasonable price because there was no grumbling from said office and they even paid for my breakfasts. I received a very pleasant, happy and friendly greeting when I checked in, Stephen (or Steven) is a superb host/landlord. I was shown to my room which was more than adequate, the beds and also the bedding were very comfortable and the bathroom with the great big shower head and hot water was just the ticket after work. True there's not a great deal of local facilities you are basically on a road with a pub and a local corner shop, but the food in the pub is very good, (I can definitely recommend the fish and chips) there's dartboards and a pool table. Breakfasts are spot on very tasty, Bacon, Sausages, scrambled eggs, beans, hash browns, tomato, mushrooms and toast, washed down with a glass of orange juice and a good size pot of tea or coffee. I've stayed on 2 separate occasions and it will be my first choice in the future if I'm working that way again.
