****AVOID THOS PLACE AND GO TO THE DRAGON IN WICK**** Absolutely awfull food and even worse service. Ordered on just eat with a 40 minute wait time and food turned up and hour and 45 minutes later. Cold bland and quite honestly weird food..oh and no mention of nuts in the dish so I hope nobody with a nut allergy orderes from here. The bloke answering the phone is one of the most arrogant people I've ever had the displeasure of speaking with. One word RANK.

We have been using this takeaway for many years without complaint, unfortunately the last two takeaways have been awful!! We will now go elsewhere..... very disappointed.

Ordered meal for 2 for delivery last night. Was told 45 mins exactly 45 mins later it was delivered, it was so hot and fresh. The taste was delicious and looked good as well. Best Chinese we have had for ages, thanks

I would like to give zero stars. After over 2 hours of ordering and at least 45 minutes late and 11 unanswered phone calls (voicemail full) when the food arrived I sent it back, not I just want a refund.

Really Good food, hot & sour soup... sweet and sour chicken balls,egg fried rice and chicken curry....

Superb takeaway last night. Very quick delivery, extremely fresh and the batter was still hot and crispy. Probably one of the best takeaways I’ve had. Good job.

Super quick delivery of super cold raw food. Rang twice and was told ring tomorrow when the boss is in. Not helpful as 1) birthday dinner tonight ruined and 2) you’re shut tomorrow. The food is all packaged up and I will be bringing it back for a full refund when you are open next. I do not recommend this restaurant, so very disappointed, I do not want to eat cold food and risk food poisoning, waste my hard earned money and be fobbed off (lied too) by employees. Shameful. You have been reported to the local food standards agency too.

I have never had a problem with this place before, however I ordered a takeaway this evening and it was the most disgusting meal we’ve ever attempted to eat!!I called up and asked them if they have changed their meat as it tasted like fatty processed rubber, and the guy on the phone told me it’s all prepared in the morning and nothings changed but it definitely has. I’ve had quite a few takeaways from here and never has the meat tasted like that. He also couldn’t have been anymore rude, all because I wasn’t happy, didn’t even offer a refund. We’ve had to order a takeaway from elsewhere now as there was not a chance in hell I was dishing that up for my family to eat the revolting food we were delivered. What a waste of £30

We have been buying our Chinese takeaways from here for the past 26 years. We have tried others but nothing compares to the Great Wall. A vast menu and very very tasty! We book our takeaway through just eat and have delivery which is always hot and on time.

Had a lovely meal. Everything was cooked well. Can't think of anything to say that's bad. Well worth a go

Have had a bad experience with this take-away before but was convinced to give them another try and had been satisfied again until now (last used in 2017). Having been out of the country for a while and back on a visit was looking forward to a chinese take-away. Placed an order for delivery and upon unpacking found a Vegetable Pancake Roll order had dangerously been replaced with a normal Pancake roll order containing prawns (for someone with a fish allergy!) and one of the ordered portions of rice was missing! Tried phoning the take-away immediately and persistently but we found as by now this was throughout the last five minutes of their opening hours they would not answer. Instead we had no choice but to accept the inaccuracies with our order and put this to one side to deal with the next day. When we phoned the next day it appeared the woman who answered was aware of and acknowledged the errors with our order and said a £6 cash refund would be placed through our letterbox. When this did not happen we phoned again and spoke to a man who stated he was overriding this decision and at best would instead deliver to us now the two items they had failed on! It was explained to him that this was an absurd remedy as this was now days after the order and meal requirement of which these were just two items which formed part of the meal and thus did not represent a standalone meal or a reasonable means of compensation for the errors in our order. Despite this the man remained steadfast in his appalling change of offer to compensate for their potentially dangerous and reckless mistake (it is only in the last year a take-away provider has been convicted of manslaughter for recklessly providing food to someone with an allergy to it!) and became most impolite with his stance also, which given he was speaking with a young woman is very bad form. Accordingly the matter had to be left there as was no doubt his goal but I hope this review at least provides sufficient warning to stop others from receiving such appalling and reckless service and to instead use one of the many other outlets close by who provide better service and better food (e.g. Silver City in East Preston).

Ordered from here and they forgot my curry sauce (which I had looked forward too all day). After calling back they were polite and they delivered missing product to me quickly and efficiently, so my food hadn’t gone cold and the problem was solved.

Delicious food, friendly staff, reasonable delivery time.i would recommend it to anyone.definitely come back any time

Having moved to the Rustington area a little over 2 years ago, we have used The Great Wall, Worthing Rd, Rustington many, many times. The food is tasty & hot. Deliveries are carried out within an acceptable time-frame. Staff friendly. Highly recommended!

Another beautiful meal served by The Great Wall. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Have been using them for 14 years and never had a bad meal yet.

Had s superb takeaway from here, the Duck with Beansprouts my favourite. Staff very curtious when i collected.

We ordered a take away tonight and chose to pick it up ourselves. The meal was ordered, cooked and ready within 20 minutes. You can't moan about that!! It was very tasty and hot. The bill for four of us was extremely reasonable and we had free prawn crackers for good measure. Will definitely be returning here.

I placed an order for delivery, delivery did take a little while but kept us updated. The food was lovely and arrived hot.

I have never had such a disgusting meal as this as I had last Night!It took an hour and half to deliver. The BBC spare ribs swimming in brown liquid and they were fatty. Satay chicken dry and I don't know what the peanut sauce was it was brown liquid too. Chicken balls dry. The chicken chow me in was uneatable and looked insipid. Rice passable and prawn balls ok ish. NEVER AGAIN!!! Have phoned and complained but of course nothing happened. Think I'll phone food agency to check them out

My partner and I ordered a takeaway and were told it would be an hour wait, we called to chase after an hour and a half when the lady advised us the driver is on the way and will be here within 10 minutes, (mind it only takes 10 minutes to get to our address) a further 20 minutes later it arrived, 2 hours after ordering! Just to top that off the cucumber with the crispy duck was mouldy!!! The duck was a shiny green colour inside, I know some meats do have a sheen to them however after seeing the mould on the cucumbers it put me right off! Received a full refund, will not be ordering from there again!

We often get a Chinese takeaway from the Great Wall as it's just over the road from where we live . The portions are generous and the food is nice . We shall be going there again soon .

We have been getting our takeaways from here for almost 20 years and have always enjoyed really delicious food......... Except for the last 2 occasions when the food has been sub-standard and really not very nice. We now get our takeaways from the Dragon

I had vowed to never order from this place ever again after one bad experience last year, a few years after I had previously always ordered from here, but two very beautiful and dear to me ladies who got me to first use Great Wall some 12yrs ago (and unlike me have remained loyal to Great Wall) convinced me to give Great Wall another try yesterday. The food on this occasion was even better than I remembered it to be when I previously always used Great Wall before my one bad experience; even better than where I have more recently been using too! Suffice to say I will be using Great Wall next time I'm ordering a chinese takeaway and will be more accepting and mindful in future that even the best can have a bad day!

A fantastic Chinese takeaway. The food is outstanding and always fresh, a great choice and very reasonable. You can order for home delivery and the service is free if you spend over £10.There is always large portions with every order.

Comida tardaron más de una hora y media en un domingo. Cuando tuvimos que re calor cada plato ya que hacía frío. No nos llámales y estaban muy desagradable en el teléfono - el gerente no se preocupan o si quieres hacer algo para ayudar, me pregunto qué es su clasificación de higiene. Finalmente después de la comida era climatizada, que era pésimo para decir lo menos, panecillo - la gamba nórdica curry tenía dos langostinos!! El mein la comida parecía Worms viscosa de comida en un plato. El lugar utilizado para ser bueno, ha caído en picado rápidamente. No va a utilizar otra vez.

Like another recent reviewer, once used this Chinese Food takeaway all the time until one closer started offering home delivery too. On this occasion found the one closer closed for Chinese New Year, hence placing an order here again. A fair speed of home delivery, but the food quality was the worst I've ever experienced from any Chinese take away! This never use to be the case so obviously some detrimental change has happened in the five to seven years since I use to place orders here; upshot is I will not again be placing an order with them!

What a disgraceful display from this takeaway,order put in at 6.45 called again at 8pm as no show,was told it was on its way and they had been busy,gave them benefit of the doubt,half an hour later called again and was put through to the manager who said it was on its way to which I replied is it being imported? He said he would ring me back ,no call after a further 20 minutes so I ring back and cancel.Please think twice about using these people I have used them before and their food is not bad for a delivery company,unfortunately they can't match the collection takeaways so if they can't deliver then they are redundant,will never touch again.

About 4 years ago I used to use this place weekly and food was always fantastic , I recently went back and found the food was not as good as it used to be ( chicken balls in batter was over cooked and batter was horrible ) maybe they have had a change in management or chef in the last couple of years , but now I won't be going back as very disappointed

Always happy and friendly. Easy to order take away and also they delivery food always piping hot. If you have a allerllgy to food I.e prawns they make sure it's not been cooked in wok that has had prawns in

We ordered a takeaway delivery and were dubious when it arrived quickly. However we were pleased to see the food was hot, delicious and freshly cooked with bit a hint of grease. Very happy. Wouldn't hesitate to order again

The food here is not bad,you will have better and worse when trying other Chinese takeaways,but when you are unable to drive the delivery service is good,the food compared to other Chinese deliveries in the littlehampton area is at least edible unlike certain other ones which I won't mention! Actually that is doing the Great Wall a disservice,the food is much more than that only not as good as some of those where you go and collect.

We got a takeaway from the Great Wall recently after not using for 6+ months, previously the food has been very good. However on this occasion the food was really bad, we ordered for four people and all dishes apart from one were really overcooked. Egg fried rice was unrecognizable and was totally brown in colour, lemon chicken was so overcooked it was actually rock solid and the same for the beef. We wont be returning until they return to their old ways.

Been visiting this chinese for over ten years; I've tried pretty much every other chinese in the area and no other compares.Service is unmatched, food is always amazing, sometimes if you want it delivered it takes a little time but it's a given for such a busy take away but with a little for warning you now know.Bottom line; best chinese in area.

Having lived in the area for 15 years, we have tried practically all of our local Chinese takeaways; we discovered this one about 4 years ago and never revisited any other since. The food has always been superb and always ready to collect within about 15 minutes. You will have to wait about 45 minutes for a delivery but this is a service we don't use. Highly recommend this takeaway.

Only live around the corner and has been our only choice for years can't fault it. Good value and choice on menu. Friendly staff.

Great food and good value. Service is always first class. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but this is purely a function of this being such a popular Take-Away and is always worthwhile.

Please note this is takeaway and not a sit down restaurant. We have been going to the Great Wall for many years and have always been pleased with the quality, quantity and price of the food. It is often very busy on weekends; even so the wait is never too long. I would highly recommend this to friends and have already done so many times.
