Nice relaxed Chinese restaurant with quality service and great food. Seriously good value for money. A great place to meet some friends or have an evening out. Can’t forget their evening weekday buffet it is great and if you play your cards right you can get great value for money haha Salt and chilli beancurd is wonderful.

Once again our takeaway was delivered quickly, really hot and lovely flavours. First class!

Went here with family as we were fed up with the beige food available in Butlins. We skipped the buffet and went for duck in orange sauce, chicken wings in honey sauce (starter), prawn fried rice and pork chow mein and chicken and sweetcorn soup. Food was served super fast and was delicious and fresh. Service was attentive and friendly. A nice reasonably priced find and only 10/ 15 minutes walk from Butlins even for my little ones. You can park free after 5pm on weekdays on the bays outside.

Great good, great service. Good value and all exactly as ordered. Good was nor salty like some Chinese. Almost as good as the one we always go to back home lol.

I’ve never really enjoyed the buffet eating in This particular restaurant as I found it pretty much mediocre! But for takeaway, this literally is the best Chinese ever!!!!

Visiting family and ordered a take away from here this evening. Wish we hadn't. The food was bland and tasteless, the house special fried rice was veg on boiled rice - tasteless and watery. The nicest thing was the prawn toast but honestly, as a meal, a waste of money and very disappointed.

Fantastic food good value for money

Decided to treat me and my daughter to a Chinese this Sunday evening. Ordered at 630. 8:20 and no sign of delivery. I rang to ask where they are, tbh it sounded like we had been forgotten about. Then I get a call from the delivery driver saying he is outside and adamant he is outside. He wasn’t because I was stood outside and he wasn’t there. He admitted fault and said give me a few minutes. 5 minutes later he still isn’t here and we are fed up and hungry.

The food is very good and delivery on time.

Ordered a large takeaway for several people. Most of the food was fine, not great, except the ribs, which were small and mainly gristle. This is the second time we have ordered from here and won't be using them again. All in all, very disappointed

Ordered takeaway given a time slot of 757pm arrived on time got back to caravan park in 6 minutes rice was cold as was chicken balls and chips

I went hear on the 26/6/24 and the I really wish I haven't firstly the service was really poor, I was getting very agitated waiting to be served. The starters were okay, but the mains were horrible, had house special chow main and the beef was horrendous leaving a very horrible taste in the mouth, the food was also very greasy, also had crisp shredded beef and it's was horrible. Was stale and tasted like it had been sitting around for a very long time and the satay sauce was horrible.. cold and just didnt taste rite. . I love my Chinese food and this was the first time I have had to push the food away and walk out very disappointed and will not be going again.. I will also not I have had food poisoning from hear in the past but this was 10 yrs or so ago !!

Chow meins were nice. King prawns didn’t taste as they usually do but were still nice

we go here every year when down working at Fontwell Racecourse.... the best Chinese in the country we reckon...always pleasant staff and food always great...

We ordered Special curry x2, chicken curry, sweet and sour chicken balls x2 (x10 portion so 20 in all) , mini pancake rolls, house special chow x2, egg fried rice, chips x2 First time ordering from here, they delivered hot bags of delicious food, enjoyed by 3 adults and 3 children, delivered within the 45 minutes they said. Will defo order again more than enough sharing and great price at £58

Don't bother,I was there for the set buffet menu. Absolutely disgusting, unless of course you are partial to grease soaked salt thinly disguised as some kind of food. Salt 'n pepper chips were reheated in old oil. In fact all the food had that old oil taste. Never again!!!

Not recommend, I think they have too many orders, so they make food like factory. Tasteless rice, tasteless noodles, they mixed up orders, some meals right 1 wrong. If I order spicy I want spicy, not sweet n sour.

Prawns and beef chow mein were quite dry tonight - not overly enjoyable

I went on a week day lunchtime with a friend who was visiting. For £13 for all you can eat from the buffet it is good value. (Not so the drinks, can of coke £2.65) The food was generally average/good. (Best was the prawn toast! Spare ribs not bad either. Didn’t try the noodles as they didn’t look great.) I was rather thrown by the drab décor of this restaurant.. although we were in the daytime buffet half, there looks to be another half that is evening al la cart? (I hope it is better than we had!) I felt like I was in a Chinese soup kitchen, dark walls, barely a whisper from the other diners, the wait staff running around and clearing anything you left for a mouthful. (Very off putting.) They also kept the buffet topped up, but were not very receptive to any requests for extras. I asked for chili sauce, but was not understood. Just about managed to get a bottle of soy sauce out of them for the table. Cheap and not very cheerful. Would only go here again if I was very hungry and had company. The atmosphere, or lack of will test your nerves! (A totally dystopian feel and in our lovely seaside town. Couldn’t wait to get back out into the sunlight!)

They pointed CCTV at me and my friend made us feel unwelcome and made us pay before even trying to order a drink very rude food was burnt and told us to leave before even having any food to eat properly

The food was delicious. Crispy shredded chilli beef was a little chewy. Wandering Dragon could have more of a mix of seafood, but very tasty. Food was early and good prices.

My second time at this restaurant. My partner wanted to go and check it out after a lovely walk across the beach. We went Sunday around 6pm and the food was so fresh, staff are friendly and helpful with anything you require. The manager she was excellent, she took care of us very well. All the dishes was beautiful! Highly recommend for a light lunch or a nice dinner!

Chow mein wasn't very enjoyable but everything else was good.

Very tasty food. I’m unsure whether the egg fried rice was actually fried, or just cooked in a steamer. I’ll be frying up the leftovers in a little sesame oil tomorrow. All pretty good anyway, especially the salt and chilli squid.

Food is always good but I ordered at 6pm didn’t get the food until 8pm.

The best food I've ever had, hands down beats any other Chinese takeaway or restaurant in my opinion, and well worth every penny, will definitely be going back again soon

ordered at 7.40pm food turned up at 9.45pm, shocking service. food below average in quality, ordered a pork curry for approx £9 and it didn't even come with rice!! Every other takeaway local to me serves a curry with rice!! outrageous!! won't be using China royal ever again, poor value for money, poor service and poor quality

0/10 today.. ordered 3 items and waited an hour and a half.. had to ring up and remind after an hour. The rice is cold and chicken balls warm not hot. Ridiculous service.

My wife doesn’t usually go for Chinese, but you have converted her as she will order her dish again. The spicey chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had around the country. Also my Mum who’s a Chinese connoisseur, loved hers too!

The buffet lunch is always fresh and tasty, the dishes always seem to be the same - personally I'd prefer a little more variety which would possibly make me come back more often, however this should not detract from the fact that there are already about 12 to 16 hot dishes to choose from including starters and mains. Hat's off to the restaurant and its staff, the food is all delicious and I always eat a little bit more than I should!

We used to love this place; in fact, we went here every single time we had a birthday to celebrate (or when I came to visit my family). Unfortunately, the place has really gone downhill in the last year. I could still live on the amazing starters, but the duck has deteriorated to such a point that you barely even get enough for one pancake each now, and it's cut across in slices instead of being fully crisp and being pulled apart into chunks. It's just fat now - and not even nice crispy fat. And in the last 3 times we've been, the service has been really, really bad. This time last year they prioritised the takeaway orders, and we were waiting a ridiculous length of time to even get all our starters brought out; this happened again in March; the time we went in October was only slightly better. The last time we went was December and we were one of only a handful of customers in the place. I'd like to point out that our family has frequented this place since they opened (both the Bognor and the Chichester branches) and they know us by face and name. But yeah, the food quality has gone down, and I don't know how many chefs they're currently using, but they don't seem to be able to cope with a full restaurant any more, and if they've got a party in (which seems to happen most weekends now), it's an absolute nightmare. It's still good value for money bearing in mind how much you can eat if you're hungry. But if you're not hungry, then you're paying a heck of a lot for what little you end up eating. It was around £12 per head when it first opened, and even at around £17 a head it was still a bargain, but it's now £24 each with drinks on top.

Chicken fried rice was boiled rice with peas and chicken and had no flavour! The veg chow main was again boiled noodles with some veg chucked on top not mixed through. The Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken was a bit lacking in sweet and sour. Overall a disgusting Chinese and I would never order from here again or recommend anyone else does

I have ordered from here many times as I love the food. And it was good this time however it was 30 mins late and a little on the cold side. Also we always without fail get prawn crackers with any order. And seeing as we spent almost £60 I expected them this time but received none.. just a bit disappointed really l.

I called 30 minutes after it was due, just said it was on its way but clearly hadn't been cooked. when it arrived it was mediocre. Ordered satay beef but it was bland brown mush. no taste to it. Went for a Birthday meal on a Wednesday evening. All you can eat for £22. Place was cold and had to ask for heating to be turned on. Only a few in. Food came really quick as if it had been warmed up??? Staff looking at us all evening? For 5 of us with one round of drinks bill was £135, not cheap. At aboout 2am the next morning my wife became very ill and was up all night with sickness. Food must have been microwaved and she feel ill. Not going back.

My order was given a 20 minute window of when it would come.This window was an hour after I ordered-which I feel is more than a reasonable amount of time to make and send it out, considering it was a tiny order and was very close by. It was late, and when I spoke to someone on the phone questioning where my order was, I was rudely spoken to and constantly dismissed,left on hold over a small order? And all I got told was 'on the way' which wasn't very helpful.

If I could give this place zero stars then I would. Had a meal on the buffet menu in June of this year . The meal seemed ok until I ordered the satay chicken. I had one bite and decided to leave the rest as it tasted really bitter. I didn’t say anything as the rest was ok. Within 2 hours of being in my hotel I proceeded to chuck my guts up all night. I had nothing else to eat that day so it could only have been the food eaten at this restaurant. Unless you want food poisoning I would avoid this restaurant at all cost. I don’t usually write negative reviews but I felt others should be aware

We live local but haven't been here for a long time. We decided to go for their lunchtime buffet which costs £12 at the weekends. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and lots of options.

Better than expected , lovely food lovely staff, would suit big eaters as there is so much food to have . lovely crispy duck was my favorite.

It was the first time my brothers and I went there and it was great.
