Told 45 minutes delivery…contacted several times & told on its way 2 hours later still not here. Had to cancel as gutted would of been a special night having child back from uni will not order again! Quick to take money!

We ordered a delivery,and even though we are just across the road, less than 300 yards away had to collect,the meal took less than 10 minutes to cook and for us to collect! Not surprised it all tasted as though it had been reheated in the microwave,£27.00! we were charged for a meal for two people, don't bother!l should have checked the reviews,my fault!save your money my friends the fish and chip shop is a far better option .

1 star is too much we ordered tonight and now up with very bad tummy problems only thing eaten today really we had chicken ball and Hong Kong style chicken and was so bad would not even give it to my dog don't use this place

Decent Chinese takeout, nothing special. We've used Silver City a few times. The food is fresh and tasty, but the quality varies quite a bit. The duck in Sweet Chilli sauce can be heavy on peppers one time and dominated by onions and bamboo another time (as seen in the picture). The sweet and sour ribs are delicious at times, but other times they're dry, but it's never been really bad. The portions are generous, and the service is always friendly. An average Chinese restaurant.

Decent food. Sometimes too greasy for me. Can ring up and order then collect just 10 minutes later. Decent prices. But better quality food elsewhere

Whole meal microwaved as expected, but not all hot chef PA DING was only running on 50% tonight as half the food was cold. The appetisers ( lol) were abysmal and I'd expect better quality frozen examples from Iceland's bin. One of our fortune cookies said expect a thrilling time ahead which can only be reference to the time we will all be spending on the toilet in an hour or so. First and last time incase you haven't guessed! Go elsewhere

Decent Chinese takeaway nothing to special.

We haven’t ordered for a while, been trying to cut back on unnecessary expenses- but Chinese food has been calling! And we were not disappointed! Absolutely delicious and enough left for tomorrow too!

Quite possibly the worst Chinese Takeaway I've ever had . Soggy greasy starter, the meat in the main course tasted like fishy cotton wool, noodles greasy and tasteless, after one mouthful it all went straight into the bin, ended up having toast for our tea.

Not that good.. Went few times as daughter likes one dish.. They never had forks/spoons or tissues despite being takeaway.. Plus poor customer service

Tasty food and helpful staff, it helps that the person that answers the phone understands what are asking for and is pleasant about it. Beware the food can be in large portions, make sure you don't over order when they say rice, they mean large rice (they do a small, and is listed as such) good value considering the portion size.

The curry was cheap quality very watery. And chow main was just noodles in a sauce not a nice sauce either

Ordered diner at 5pm, asked them to deliver at 7pm, at 7.30pm after constant engaged tone on phones we went in search of our food to find them totally overwhelmed by the amount of orders they had, they were not prepared for a busy nye night, totally not organised, only one female delivery driver who we met on way home from the takeaway!! They had taken their phone off the hook too!!! We got home at 8pm and met the delivery driver on our doorstep!! Food wasn't great either, and usually they are really really good!! Common curtsey is to let your customer know if your going to be late, we had no idea if it would turn up at all, they took our number so could have easily rung us, very poor service and unfortunately we won't use again

I was suddenly crazy hungry before my hair appointment so though i would grab some food to eat in the car, appetisers mainly. The salt and chili chicken wings were something else, i could have eaten a bucket of them!! Its to be my new local chinese fave for 2021 off the wings alone!

1 item missing from order and the chips were inedible. Suspect they were reheated from previous day. Very disappointing as has always been of good quality in the past.

Never had a bad meal from Silver City, food is fantastic and service spot on. Great value for money, they are the best Chinese in the area.

We ordered takeaway christmas eve, the chicken was very chewy, prawn toast, very dry. Very dissapointing. We didnt enjoy it attal. Most of it went into the bin.I felt it hadn't been cooked properly, the driver who bought was very pleasant. But won't be using them again.

Big shame here. Have been using Silver City for over a decade yet this time the Beef Curry was watery with less taste and, the most likely culprit regarding the food poisoning I ended up with, the chicken chow mein was different in appearance colour, taste and smell (shouldn’t have chanced it but assumed maybe different chef/owners so different style/recipe). Four days since consuming and still having stomach problems. Have consequently checked with The Food Standards Agency website and found the Food Hygiene Rating for this business is a 2 (Improvement Necessary)! I agree with another reviewer that the sweet & sour sauce portion has reduced in size in recent times also. Time to find a new option for purchasing this Cuisine (once I have recovered from this terrible experience and feel up to trying it again).

We had a take away from here one night - was good - not great Would recommend for an easy dinner, and with parking outside on the parade of shops made it easy to pop in and collect.

Placed an order at 6 pm on a Saturday, told 50 min, which was fine, 1 hour 15 mins later I phoned to be told another 10 mins. So disappointed when it finally arrived, pork chownein had all onions and very little pork, my Singapore noodles again all onion and chilli. Chicken sate dry and hardly any sauce which would have helped . Sweet and sour sauce was a poor portion. All in all I wish I had gone to the pennang now, will do next time

Used this takeaway on loads of occasions however the last couple of months quality has got worse and missing items which is frustrating as has always been great before trying others locally now

We always use this Chinese take away restaurant when we have a Chinese. Food as always plentiful and cooked lovely. Would fully recommend to anyone

Now I don’t usually write reviews because most of the time I don’t have time or can’t be bothered but this was so awful I just had to! We ordered on a Saturday night for delivery and were told it would be 45mins...being quite reasonable people we waited until it was over an hour and then decided to ring and query our order. We were told that the driver was stuck in traffic so hadn’t even collected our food yet to bring it to us! I have no idea how there is that much traffic in a small village on a Saturday night but hey ho! Another half hour later the food finally arrives BUT it’s completely cold!!! We ring Silver City again to which they say it would take too long to cook and send again so she offers us 10% off our next order....firstly 10% doesn’t quite cut it when the £30 we have just spent has gone to waste and secondly there won’t be another order! It was then like talking to a brick wall she wasn’t interested and just kept telling us they only had one driver as someone else hasn’t turned up (not my problem!) she then said they haven’t been that busy on a Saturday recently so did not expect this to happen....well I’m not surprised if this is the food and service they are offering! AWFUL!! Please don’t order from here...we used to order quite regularly...NEVER AGAIN!

Phoned up, ordered.. come in 20 mins. Went round, paid.... waited another 15-20 mins. To my surprise, someone actually came in and ordered and got their food whilst I waited. Ended up that my food had been ready all along... The response... it is still warm. Answer was, no it wasn‘t I had to use the microwave!!!

Worst Chinese that i have for years , delivery time time an hour which is usaul ,god knows why? you get it cold ! So went and picked it up got home order was wrong food cold we had put our plates in oven called them might aswell talk to a brick wall never again stay away , terrible as a village Chinese, Choose another bloody awful

The food is great. You can order on the phone and then pick up our they will deliver to your front door. The staff are very friendly and the process are reasonable.

Average Chinese restaurant. A bit greasy for me but was not too bad. Very fast

@ James Duncan Stop eating out you obviously hate it looking at your reviews. Never had a problem with this take away. Suggest that you learn to cook.

And yet another Chinese take away joins the long list of terrible Chinese take away's to order from within the Littlehampton/Rustington/East Preston area.i'd love to recommend somewhere else in the area but there really is nowhere,however this place is especially bad.Chicken still raw dry ribs with your own tub of sauce to pour over (the worst excuse for Capitol sauce known to man).Duck was 60% skin,although crispy not enough meat and to top it all off insects in the cucumbers and spring onions they really ticked all the boxes in the 'Do not eat here' category.

Excellent meal, by far the best Chinese take away we have tried locally.
