My usual Chinese take away was closed , so tried happy house for the first time and I WASNT disappointed, it was lovely and fresh , big portions and will be using happy house from now on 😄😄

I absolutely love this Chinese. It really is the best I've had locally. Very reasonably priced. Always tastes really fresh looks good. Nice variety of ingredients. Large portions. 😃

Nice Chinese apart from chicken balls over cooked.

Absolutely disgusting delivery takeaway, sauces were running and the beef, whatever cut it was covered in fat. Just kept spitting it out and hoping for the best with the next bit. Needless to say it all went in the bin! Wondered why it all arrived so quickly, wasn't freshly cooked!!!!

Salt and pepper chips were covered with chilli powder with being really crunchy on the outside and hard on the inside. Safe to say I’m thoroughly disappointed.

I recently had a crispy duck and special fried rice before I took my daughter to Brighton with her friends, I began to feel unwell on my return and actually had to pull over and was physically sick, never again I'm sorry to say but was not expecting that , will therefore not be recommending this place!!!!!

Since moving down a few years ago we have tried most of the Chinese takeaways in the area & this, being a first time order, is easily the best one yet. I'm not a fan of the indulgence of Chinese or Thai takeaway as it seems to get colder quicker than a McDonald's in a foot-well after midnight so much so even a gremlin would turn it away but this regained my faith in eating tepid food. Secret order hack, the garlic & pepper orders on the appetisers, which might be a mistake as they are better than the main meals. Will definitely be reordering soon!

Good choice for Chinese takeaway but by no means the best choice locally in my own opinion

Awful hour and half waited for food and was dry and cold

Without doubt the worst house special chow mein I’ve ever had. No meat just five prawns, very slimy and unpleasant. Sweet and sour chicken balls were over cooked and just about eatable. Never again.

I have worked here in the past and it’s a great place to grab a bite to eat, they offer a wide range of food and the business it self is run buy a family. The food is well prepared and they offer take out as well as delivery. Although I don’t work their anymore I still find myself buying a bite to eat from time to time.

Love a Chinese takeaway. This place has all you expect from one. Good prices! We ordered instore to takeaway, nice and quick service.

Had a home delivery tonight from here.....I had duck fried rice made for me & it was hot fresh & soooo delicious! With sweet & sour chicken balls & beef rice for my companion! Fantastic meal will return again next time!

Used to highly rate this place, however they seem to have gone down hill, recently ordered a house special chow Mein and prawn balls, collected chicken chow mein and pork balls.... Food was nice, but feel a bit let down, will order online next time to avoid confusion

Many happy takeaways from here. Very often quickly delivered and food always very good.

Had to call to find out where order was. Advised 30 mins when placed it and still not received after an hour! Eventually arrived but items missing. Called and was told they would get the missing items to us…. 40 mins later they arrived. It’s a shame as the food is generally good.

Our regular and only Chinese we use now as we have tried them all locally and this one is by far the best. Particularly the chicken satay, Salt and peppered chicken and the king prawn curry is also excellent. Always on time and piping hot.

First time tried and all 3 of us very disappointed. Hoisin sauce was tipped out in bag all over everything. Sauces were runny and everything was chewy!!! Nothing was very tasty and even the fritters of which we ordered all three fruits were bland and soggy. Not sure if this is the usual standard but sorry to say won't be back or recommend.

Pretty good, not too salty and well flavoured, let down by the rice, I had the special Yung chow fried rice which was overcooked with hardly any "special" bits in it, certainly nowhere near worth the extra £2.50 compared to regular egg fried rice. One star lost for that.

Most discuting Chinese we have ever had rice was cold with no flavour prawn curry watery and tasteless egg fried rice cold and rubbery prawn balls cold greasy batter all in all foul discuting food

Cold, unflavoured, the prawn balls were oil ridden and mostly just batter , the dry special fried rice (I asked for the dry type) was basically all the old bits and pieces covered in a bit of soy sauce. The Thai curry was just watery and tepid. I will never go there again

Ordered meal for 2 delivered and very pleased. Been before a while ago and seems better than before.

Made a Pre-order last night on 21-01-2022 at 4.30pm to be delivered for 7.45pm all went through correctly at a price of £34.90p . A driver arrived at my house at 5.25pm with the order to which I told him we were due to go out so thats why we ordered for 7.45pm . He then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong that in actual fact I have said they need to cook it before 7.45pm . I did show him the email where it says you have made a Pre-order for 19.45pm . He was quite rude and said "well do you want the food or not" my partner said im sorry but its too early we are due to go out now . The driver continued to huff and said "well I'll have to take it back and get them to cook fresh" we then said yes thank you. That was the end of that . We arrived home at 7pm sorted the kids out and say down ready for our delivery to turn up . I received a text at 7.32pm stating there was a refund being issued in 3-5 days as there was no drivers avaliable at this point along with an email saying your order has been cancelled! I instantly got annoyed and thought this is very strange ! I phoned Happy house and asked why my order had just been cancelled and the guy on the phone said "urm we can re-make it" I said you've just said there's no drivers avaliable . He replied "yes" so I then said so do you have any drivers to which he replied "yes" 🤔 so I said so you sent a false text lying because you 'Couldn't Be Bothered' to which the man replied "urm yes" "but we can remake for you now" at this point I was getting annoyed as it was now already 7.45pm . I asked what he was going to do about it and he said well nothing im not giving you £61 worth of food . I said im not asking for that but there has to be at least something you can do . So in the end we ended up paying a further £20 over the phone as they had already issued for a refund to be done . The takeaway arrived in the end . The curry was good as normal but the chicken balls was more batter than chicken the prawn toast was un-edible the salt and pepper chicken was also rubbery . Will definitely NEVER be ordering from here again . The customer service skills and shocking and there is no compassion or even care about customers . Stay away everyone .!!!

Best Chinese local to Angmering great food always hot when it arrives

We've just moved to the area and have been trying the Chinese restaurants as it's our favourite takeaway. Happy house is by far the worst we have tried so far. Chow mein noodles were sticky and didnt taste very nice (didnt taste like chow mein at all). Chicken wasnt great and the crispy chilli beef wasnt crispy at all and rather soft. The food was also delivered late and cold, we wouldnt have minded the late however when it's cold it's not good. We did read the reviews before hand and understand you normally get more bad reviews than good however in this case, we can believe the reviews are true. Will never go here again!

1st time we've ordered from here and never again, spring rolls had nothing inside most and one or two slithered of 'sonething' in others, a mouth full of greasy mush!

Ordered from here for the 1st time and it will certainly be the last. Bland, tasteless soggy food, overcooked chow mein, what tasted like yesterday's chips barely warmed through, main dishes awful. No flavour at all. So disappointed. Don't put leaflets through people's doors if what you deliver isn't fit for purpose, most of ours went in the bin.

Me and my partner both had food poisoning after getting a takeaway from here. Because of this we will no longer be wanting to order from happy house again. Will be ringing happy house and letting them know

Has received mixed reviews but I can honestly say that we've always enjoyed the food. It's always fresh and hot. Ordering via their website is a doddle.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Today, July 10th, bought my first and last takeaway from this establishment. The Mixed Hors D'Oeuvres were barely passable: The rest of the food went into the compost bin. Not joking avoid. Next time I will drive the extra mile or so to the Penang Village Restaurant. A little more expensive but a lot better quality product.

Amazing food as always, covid precautions are in place.

Abysmal. Ordered a hot and sour soup and pancake rolls. Soup was a pale yellow instead of red and tasted of nothing. Could have been the dishwater and sink debris. Rolls had no filling. Will never eat here again.

Don’t order delivery. Ordered and told it would be 50 minutes, over an hour later not arrived, we phoned and they said it was coming, an hour after that we phoned again and told they would be along soon, another hour went by and we phoned again and were told that as they weren’t now busy they could deliver then. It was 9 o clock by then so we said refund our money and we’ll go without. No apologies, man on phone said ok, cheers and put the phone down, won’t ever deal with these morons again.

We order from here fairly regularly, and are always so pleased with all the vegetarian options available. Great prices & good size portions of freshly cooked food, recommended

Just had a meal from here. Normally it is amazing . Hot tasty and worth the money. Today it was cold chewy and the ribs were not recognisable as ribs they had batter on them and no meat. The chowmein was cold and full of gristle and the chicken balls were all batter and no meat . Maybe a bad day but loath to try it again

I specifically gave instructions for delivery as we live on a gated secure community. I received a call to say where were we on the industrial estate???? Nowhere near. Then another call to say they had arrived. Again nowhere near. When I arrived at the security box which I d had to walk to the driver was arguing with the security guard who happens to live very close to us. Appalling. When I asked if the food was hot the driver took it off his car seat and said Yes. Had not been transported in thermal packaging WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM THERE AGAIN

Not overly keen on the food here, staff helpful enough, but the food is quite bland, no flavour. prime example, I bought a chinese chicken curry and egg fried rice, it didnt taste like curry at all, and I know people will think when they read this, but its chinese, well silver cities chinese chicken curry tastes like a curry, this didnt, and the egg fried rice had hardly any egg!! Hence the 2 stars

I visit family occasionally over the year and have to get some take out from here - love the bbq sauce,prawn toast and ribs . The dishes i've tried i could binge on every time which is what i do. Delivery was very quick although local. pancake rolls could be better but still good. Portion size good also. Wish i had a Chinese like this locally.

Pleased to see that there's lots on offer for vegetarians. The tofu satay was lovely, with lots of fresh veg. Large portions, very good value

And that’s essentially it - it does the job but isn’t anything to write home about. Perfect for a night in on your own but if you were having friends over for a Chinese, you’d probably want to look elsewhere. When we’re doing the former, this is where we always go.

Food not tasty I ordered a prawn curry it was watery. Not worth the price

Went here last night myself and the wife.It's the worst Chinese food I have ever had.Its that bad it's hard to understand how this place is still trading.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Our local was closed tonight and we used this place as an alternative. We had Thai green curry, chicken curry, chips and chicken chowmein - great portions and exceptional quality food

This is a great Chinese takeaway which cooks up very tasty meals. D for 4 people is great value and varied, this will feed 8 adults easily.

Wow, what an awful take away. Prawn toast had been re-fried multiple times and arrived rock hard and smelling of off-fish. Tried part of one and threw rest away. Chicken chow main was full sugar and contained some kind of manipulated meat. Ate one piece, tasted kind of like a soft pork so bined the rest in case I got sick . Do not recommend and will not buy from these guys again. So disappointed as love Chinese food.

Had the Chinese currry along with bbq spare ribs. It ended up getting eaten in the pub by friends who all raves about how good it was. I was also recommended it by someone. Really good value and great food

Ordered a delivery last night. We selected the £25.00 menu B. I have to say we were very disappointed. The 'seaweed' was full of sugar (could actually see it) and it became inedible after a few mouthfuls. Rib portion was pretty mean and not cooked slowly enough. The King Prawns (Hong Kong style) were glutinous and difficult to separate, the chicken in satay sauce was pretty tasteless and the sauce far to 'thin' as was the Beef with mixed veg. To add insult to injury we had to pay an extra £1.00 for delivery although in fairness we only tried it because a flyer was put through our door and I mistakenly assumed it was in Littlehampton! Regardless of that it was not good value for money and overall an expensive mistake which we won't be repeating!

Meat seemed overcooked probably reheated its been like twice now and less variety in the veg I wont be going back
