****AVOID THOS PLACE AND GO TO THE DRAGON IN WICK**** Absolutely awfull food and even worse service. Ordered on just eat with a 40 minute wait time and food turned up and hour and 45 minutes later. Cold bland and quite honestly weird food..oh and no mention of nuts in the dish so I hope nobody with a nut allergy orderes from here. The bloke answering the phone is one of the most arrogant people I've ever had the displeasure of speaking with. One word RANK.

It's always been good as one of the cheaper Chinese food joints, but our meal tonight was really delicious. Fresh, hot and tasty.

Don't waste ur time or money don't even read menu .No words can describe how bad the food is

I had a vegetable curry and egg fried rice and my partner had house special and chips it was horrible the curry was so sweet didn't taste like curry and all the rice tasted salty just wasted nearly ,£30

From start to finish this takeaway was a letdown, we ordered off just eat and our address is on the app but on delivery the driver didn’t have our door number and was abrupt when handing over the takeaway, as he had trouble finding us, the food was dismal, after spending £32, the chicken in the curry was obviously frozen cubed chicken which was rubbery and tasteless, the beef dish was chewy and the cashews in the beef were soft and the lumps of carrots were hard, overall the food was very bland, after tasting each dish, we decided to throw it away, my first thought was to return it but after reading a review about somebody else’s treatment on returning food, we decided to just throw it away, we have always used the Great Wall and it has usually been delicious but our previous meal was just as bad and we thought maybe it had been he chefs night off and decided to give it another go, we will not be returning !!

Tried them 3 times in the few years we’ve lived here. Bit bland, not really on par with other local Chinese takeaway.

Worst food that has ever been delivered to my door. They should be ashamed of themselves serving this absolute slop. Even if I had a dog I wouldn't feed this abysmal rubbish to it as I'd have the rspca knocking on my door for animal cruelty. As you've probably worked out first and last time for us. Do yourself a favour and buy a bag of sand and some bricks from your local builders merchants get some sweet and sour sauce from Tescos and you'll have a better meal than what we have just had. Night ruined and no doubt be in the toilet all night.

The only good thing about this order, was the delivery time, as arrived 30 earlier then expected. But the good things ends there... First time ordering from Great Wall due to Dragon being shut on Sundays 😩 Thought will go with something simple, so ordered sweet and sour king prawns: worst I've ever eaten in my life. Dispite the fact that they were ice cold, they had no taste or texture in them at all. Same was with the other prawns that we ordered, can't even remember the name, but it was nothing like the description was telling. Prawn crackers was good thou. Avoid

Been using for years don't often have a takeaway food was greasy rice was dry chips I my opinion was old reheated one's lot's for the bin to eat shame it's really gone downhill now looking for a new Chinese after 20 odd years

Greasy chips and uncooked chicken balls. Phone up to complain and the owner didn't care.

By far the worst "Chinese " I've ever bought. Bbq ribs stank and were in what looked like dirty dish water. The rest was just as bad. Called and was told to call back as they had finished for the night. Returned all the food the next day all full containers. Was swore at and shouted at. Eventually gor my money bk as wasn't leaving without. Shouted and hollered after making me wait 19 mins before coming out to speak to me after he had been told. Awful In every aspect. Also ruined dinner for us. Dont do it to yourself!

Really disappointed and no way to complain. No taste, soggy "crispy" shredded beef. Everything had a creamy after taste 🤢. Should have stuck to our usual place. Don't waste your money

We order from here around once a month on varying days of the week. Even on Saturdays the food comes quick. The chilli beef is basically heroin it’s so good. When I eat it I transcend realities and begin to ascend to the heavens and feel at peace with myself.

I'd give less than one but can't, £40 of food never arrived, now eating cheese on toast. Not happy

Tried to pre order and asked to call back in 5 minutes and then wouldn't answer my call. Person at the counter was quite obnoxious and unhelpful. Vegetables rather hard, very under cooked. Disappointed unable to eat

As always,food and service is exceptional, from the gentleman that takes the order, to the gentleman that knocks on the door.. Always superb food, cooked with care and passion, consistently over the last ten years I've been eating here.. I honestly can't recommend any other place in the area above Great Wall..and I've tried them all.. thank you for the awesome food guys. Kindest regards Michael

Just really, really bad. Please don't waste your money. They forgot a couple items and nothing had any flavour at all. It tasted reheated and very poor quality. Quite possibly the worst Chinese we've ever had.

Use a lot, could not get through?? when I did I was asked to call back in 10 minutes??? Sorry lost my business. Famous City will get my orders from now on.

Great food never been disappointed but we do always collect

3rd time unlucky. We've ordered from here 3 times now, first time bearable, second time (like reviewer Jane Mustow) you could tell the meal had been reheated as the batter was soft on the king prawns and finally the third and final order that we placed turned up a little over 2 hours after placing the order with nothing but excuses from the "restaurant". The blame for what should've been a 10 minute journey that turned into an hour and a half was that we had local water logged roads and that the "restaurant" was very busy and this also probably explains why everything tasted like it had been in the boot of a car for 2 hours as well (or driven back for a quick reheat in the microwave). Yummy. If I can pull a positive then the poor girl answering the phone done very well in keeping us informed and staying calm despite our frustrations. To top it all off we didn't receive our rice but given the quality of the rest of the food I was honestly not that bothered as I felt the whole experience was a waste of money. We will turn to another local Chinese in hope of a better option.

Have had takeaways from there for a few years and never had a poor one. Always well cooked and tasty.

Very disappointed. My husband thought he would have a change from where we normally get our takeaway from, as it’s in the village. We ordered 5 items. Cost was reasonable but the quality of the food was poor. You know what next day warmed up food tastes like? Well that’s what ours tasted like. Our bbq spare ribs was salty with no bbq taste at all. The lemon chicken had a lemon sauce on it but tasted like the battered chicken had been warmed up in a microwave separately then put in the sauce. The same for the sweet and sour pork and shredded beef. As for the Singapore noodles, it didn’t taste like any Singapore noodles I’d ever eaten before. The most annoying part of all this is that I was looking forward to this all day. I came back from work expecting a good meal. I swear if we had made a sandwich, it would have been more satisfying.

First time we have used this takeaway very pleased with the quality of food plus the amount I ordered early plus collected myself from the takeaway excellent service

Haven't ordered in a while. But I got exactly what I ordered. And was delivered on time.to two different addresses as required. 🙌 hot, crispy fresh chips, fresh tasting food all round 😀😋 happy days

Ordered through just eat food turned up earlier than told which was fine but the food was not hot The chips some not cooked my pancake roll was nearly cold no pork and counted 3 shrimps in it the spring rolls were only warm also we ordered prawn crackers which they had left out We ate what we cooked and chucked the rest When I phoned to complain I was sworn at and he hung up 3 times on me also told me they only ever put 3 shrimps in and I was a liar over no meat in it They agreed a full refund but as a credit if we phoned them direct to order next time but on reflection after tasting their food and having experienced the customer service of being sworn at and hung up on they can keep it I will find somewhere that wants customers Order food elsewhere

1st time I ordered from here and it will be the last time ordered of just eat came on time but food was cold and tasteless even kids didn't like we just threw it all in the bin. Tryed ringing couldn't get through.

Have bought on many occasions as is our local chinese but would normally collect! Ordered in the morning for a 6:30 delivery, turned up at 7:20!! Nearly an hour late, lukewarm and much smaller portions then prior to the 'lockdown' 😡 Have had to make ourselves something else to eat as still hungry and phone goes straight to email. Will not order or use this place again unless service/heat/quantities improve. Very disappointed!!

Wish I'd let the driver take it back as threatened when presented with mild fed up after 2 hours waiting sarcasm,when he called lost. Ordered via Just Eat 7.20pm,delivery around 8.30. Called at 9pm to be told "he has just left". After this order time updated to 9.10pm on Just Eat. Received a call from driver blaming satnav and being busy for not being able to find a well known area. Requested contact free delivery to be left on step and knock. Knocked and stood at the door. Food cold and not particularly nice. Definitely one to give a miss. Will wait for my regular Chinese to reopen. Poor service,poor food quality,poor delivery,poor communication and use of the app. Then they wonder why people get annoyed. If it's going to be 2 hours,say so. Wouldn't have bothered.

Went inside and stood waiting for someone to take my order. Lots of activity out back and heads round the door but waited 15 mins to place my order and gave up. Went to the Dragon in Rustington instead- they have staff ready to serve. Not so Great Wall

Great place for a takeaway. We always go here when we are in the UK a real family favorite.

For the second time the food was very bland and tasteless, despite asking for Chow Mein to be spicy it was poor as was the rest of the meal. Very disappointing because a few months ago it was excellent.

This is Definitely the Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Great service and time keeping. The food is always delicious and the staff always do their best to please!

Very impressed with this restaurant. We have driven past it a few times and decided to book a table and give it a try. The food is excellent and this coupled with great service made for a very enjoyable evening. Let's just say we will be back.

Rung up to place an order and they didn't do what I wanted so I told them not to worry I'll go elsewhere, the owner rings back to say I haven't collected my order I explain i cancelled it, he then hangs up on me so I call him back to reassure that it's cancelled, he then becomes abusive and starts swearing down the phone at me. disgusting service. Will never be returning.
