Pulled in here in on the way back from a holiday. Was treated to a friendly lunch for the family. We tucked into a range of different sandwiches. These were well made with high quality ingredients. The layout of the cafe was spacious and felt newly set up. The sign of quality was the number of regulars in for their lunch. Will be calling in again.

I love breakfasts. The grazing cow offer all day breakfast. I ordered the normal English breakfast and my brother had the Ham, eggs and chips, which he said was very nice. My breakfast had overcooked, dry sausage and bacon, overcooked, soggy tomatoes, tasteless tinned mushrooms and a very nice egg. As I was hungry I ate most of it. All in all very disappointing 😞 The service was very good and fast. The setting was lovely. Just a shame the breakfast was a let down and quite expensive at just under £12. They also do a children's breakfast at £6 with a heading of "Under 12 years" Why? Why can't an adult, smaller appetite, have a small breakfast?

I had the eggs Benedict and it was not great, the ham was fatty and chewy, the Hollandaise sauce runny and seemed to be not homemade so I would be reluctant to return.

Although we live locally this was our first visit and we had been encouraged to try the place by relatives from Cornwall who call in regularly on their way past. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and shown to a table in the garden room. I had the large breakfast and my wife had poached eggs on toast. The food arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection. Despite being extremely busy the place was spotless and the service provided by our waitress ‘Ella’ was outstanding. She was extremely efficient and made us feel very welcome. Overall a really great experience and we’ll definitely be back.

Very busy but quick service by attentive young staff. Not quite 5☆ for me because I didn't think the sausages were special (but my wife wouldn't agree with me!).

We go here occasionally for breakfast and it's always good. So we booked for fathers day lunch. We had roast beef, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, mixed vegetables a slab of beef and a huge Yorkshire pudding. Looked really good. However the roast potatoes had been pre cooked and reheated and we were unable to cut them, we had to practically saw them in half. The cauliflower cheese was tasteless, no taste to the mixed vegetables, the only thing that did taste nice was the red cabbage and the Yorkshire pudding. The beef itself was nicely cooked but it was a good inch thick and looked more like a steak. We were quite disappointed that the food was really bland and sadly won't be returning or referring it to anyone.

We stopped by recently after driving by many times, so glad we did and will be making it a regular stop off. There were lots of staff, service was very quick and super friendly, even though they were very busy. Coffee was excellent, as was the food. Everywhere was clean and maintained very nicely.

We wanted lunch, but the restaurant was full. The waitress was very helpful and suggested we had takeaway. So we sat outside with delicious sandwiches on thick white bread plus salad and an Americano each.As well as the restaurant there is a deli shop and loos.Certainly worth a visit if you are passing this way.

We've had a fair few lazy Saturday brunches here and never been disappointed. Love that there's a board with details of where all the fresh produce is sourced from - all very local, so there's no issues with food miles if that's your thing. The food itself is freshly prepared to order and the specials board is different every time we go. The building is light, airy and scrupulously clean but manages to be warm and cosy in the winter. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

I was thrilled to be able to get a gluten free breakfast that didn't involve a plate of food that had essential breakfast items missing!!! Thanks so much it was a real treat. We found the atmosphere lovely with lots of space for social distancing outside. Service was great as well, can't wait to see the new garden area. We have already been back again with friends who are also gluten free and they were very impressed as well.

The grazing cow is easy to find. It is a lovely building well designed and decorated. We had the breakfast which was very good value, and we could see it being freshly cooked. The coffee was very good and the cakes looked delicious. Good gluten free options as well. The staff were very welcoming and it was an excellent stop on a cold dreary day log burner in the corner. Will certainly return when in the area again.

Welcoming smilrs guaranteed.I chose bacon sandwiches on granary bread and added grilled tomato. Delicious. My black coffee was excellent as ever: "real" coffee. Great value too - only £6.25.With very good menu, massive car parking on the level, huge indoor and outdoor seating areas, fantastic children's play area, lovely decor with quirky flourishes, plus an outside toilet, any excuse to stop here shojld be taken.Love it.

We treated ourselves to a breakfast. Whilst not particularly cheap, when you see what's included and how filling it is, it is appropriate. We didn't need to eat much for the rest of the day. Lovely and hot - a full plate of local produce was impressive. Just thinking about it makes me want to go there again right now!

Nice new building but very short staffed. Waited 50 minutes for a small breakfast and a bacon sandwich. When the food eventually arrived , after reminding one of the two waiting staff, the breakfast was very nice but the bacon sandwich had only 1 piece of bacon in it......not worth the wait.

I visited for Sunday brunch with a friend. The new cafe is very trendy with welcoming and efficient staff. We ordered the Full English and smoked salmon and egg on toast as well at coffees. The coffees were both of excellent quality and really hit the spot. The food was even better and particularly the bacon and sausages which were locally produced and much higher quality than in normal establishments. Really well presented, large portions and tasty. Super value and overall experience. We will definitely be back !

Were prices 20% less, I'd write an outstanding review of the Grazing Cow. However spending L12 in a simple breakfast establishment as two guests ordering a cup of coffee and similarly tea, single bacon and single egg sandwich and a small bowl of porridge seems a bit excessive in my experience relative to value.

Found this on google maps enroute to Cornwall. FANTASTIC coffee, fabulous breakfast, we chose the small one which was plenty, great sausage, bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, fresh tomato and a huge pot of baked beans with toast. The service was with a smile and the two girls were happy and cheerful. Great ingredients, beautifully cooked and excellent value. And miles better than a formula coffee stop. A fab stop off on the way west.

I dropped in for breakfast with a friend and, having avoided the potentially bucking cow at the entrance (it's a model), was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and ambience. It was really busy but we were seated quickly by the very efficient staff. I ordered a breakfast and I'm glad I opted for the small breakfast, it was more than sufficient. It was beautifully cooked and really fresh - you didn't have the impression that the bacon had been lying around keeping warm for a few hours. There was a little wait for it but I prefer that for a fresh breakfast and it gave us time to enjoy a lovely cup of coffee and a chat. My friend opted for coffee and cake which was obviously home made, it was delicious. I will definitely be going back on a regular basis, I don't think you can beat their breakfasts and I can't wait to try the lunches.

Gingerbread house cafe is a lovely local coffee/breakfast/lunch spot on the high st, just up from the beach. I recently ordered a cream tea for two box to be delivered to my mother for her birthday as I live far away. She loved it, it was fresh and delicious and included sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and all the fixings, and she couldn’t have been happier to be surprised on her birthday with a friendly face and a special delivery. They are also very active in the community and offered free lunches for school kids during Covid. A great cafe!
