The food in this cafe is awesome, especially if you have dietary requirements as they cater for a wide range without the ripoff price tags you get elsewhere. The coffee's are also great. This is my go to cafe in Wellington, if there isn't a table available there is a very good reason why they are busy

Took my grandchildren in for pancakes and I had a full breakfast, food was great staff very friendly (especially with the children). Loved the music, just a lovely relaxing place to start the day.

Honestly the best place to go in Wellington if you want a proper cafe experience - as you walk in it doesn't even feel as in you're in welly anymore. The atmosphere, decor, music, staff and food is all absolutely lovely and I've never had a bad experience here. If you want a nice relaxing tea and cake, this is the place, always.

Recently in Telford on a work trip. Stopped at gratitude for a bit of breakfast. Awesome little cafe with a great vibe and style. Food on point and would love to go back one day, especially for the one of the events they run

My go to breakfast spot whenever I’m a bit hungover from the night before and need a good vegan breakfast in me. The staff are lovely, helpful and always happy to chat. The food is spot on and always hits the spot for me. Definitely one of the best spots in Wellington for great vegan food - and the coffee is pretty fantastic as well 👌

Went for a family lunch. Excellent food and service and a nice atmosphere with everyone, including dogs, welcome.

Reserved a table for a birthday. Confirmed. We all got there, children present. They Let us sit down and then order after a while, then said cash only in which only had card. what a waste of time, very upset and hungry children. Attitude of female staff member was unacceptable. Never will we return! Disappointed is an understatement.

What a gem of a place! Treated to gluten free afternoon tea today, outstanding! Everything was fresh, tasty and delicious. Staff were lovely and friendly, nothing was to much trouble and kept checking everything was OK and tea was topped up. Definitely recommend and will return. Well done Gratitude Cafe, we will be back!

Had afternoon tea here for early Mother’s Day today and oh my god it was absolutely amazing from the food to the service of the staff, amazing gluten free options also so very well catered for, I highly reccomend this place 10/10 amazing business x

I have been coming here regularly for the past five years. Sadly the last two times the music has been so loud its been difficult, not relaxing or chilled to pass a couple of hours with a friend. I would hate to find a new place. I loveeeeee it hear. Please consider the music being lower to keep the place busy and the brilliant atmpsohere it once had.

Lovely cafe in the heart of Wellington. Dog and gluten free friendly. The homemade leek and potato soup was delicious as was the gluten free raspberry and chocolate cake. Little Ru enjoyed his puppachino too. Comfortable and well decorated. Will definitely visit again.

I went for breakfast this morning. I had the "nuts about pancakes" pancakes and the peanut butter and banana milkshake. They were both absolutely amazing. The service was all amazing. Servers were really kind and welcoming and all in all just had an amazing atmosphere. They also played really good music in the cafe

went to gratitude cafe with my brother today he ordered our food and drinks and then brought the drinks over to our table we had not seen each other for a while so were busy catching up when after just over half an hour he noticed that people who had arrived well after us were being served food he approached the member of staff behind the counter to enquire where our food was after a little time searching they found the food order had slipped off the table and been missed now these things can happen but its how you deal with it from there that matters ini tially they refused to refund my brother and said they would now process the order which would have been ok if we had the time but we didnt eventually he was refunded and we left the sadness is that this is clearly a popular place but when you get it wrong which we all do from time to time be gracious and do not go on the offensive as im sorry but in our eyes a little more gratitude and a little less attitude would go a long way

Nice spot to meet, eat and/or drink and chat. Often has entertainment on bands, open mike etc. Nice vibe and a pleasant place to visit.

THE best breakfast EVER! Randomly found this cute cafe last week as I am not from the area & I can honestly say I've been back 3 times already! Amazing food & a great warm friendly service. Highly highly highly recommend! (Cannot recommend the eggs/avo sourdough with their dressing enough - absolutely hooked!)

Ordered two vegan breakfasts, but was disappointed to find the portion sizes have definitely got smaller since our last visit. Frozen avocado was used which looked brown, would of been nice to use fresh. We needed a highchair for my little boy, but all 4 highchairs in the cafe were dirty and look like they hadn't been cleaned. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. Disappointing visit, afraid we won't be back.

Staff were very cheery and happy to help, loved coming here. First time in, I will be back!

What a wonderful cafe, the vibe is chilled, the staff are genuine and kind, and the food is beautiful! 😍 Dogs are also welcome and they have live music on Sunday afternoons!

Lovely vibe, friendly staff but they need some support in their kitchen, the food took far too long to come out. 2 breakfast items took about 30 minutes to come out which felt excessive for a normal amount of people in the restaurant I would say the food quality is quite good, and really nice place to eat. If they can sort out their food timings it'll really take off.

Not good at all, food cold, stagg ignoring customers, toilet dirty, table stick with food dried on it, waited 30mins for basic food would definitely not recommend much better places in Wellington, over priced, even the menu had food on it dried.

Good to average food, terrible service, which is is why it looses points. I can't fault the friendliness of staff or menu but in terms of catering the cafe really needs an injection of training on how to get food out to customers quickly. Food is often slow to turn up after ordering, so quite often you'll have long finished your hot drink by the time food turns up. For the price a ham & cheese toasted sandwich shouldn't look like its been made from wonderloaf, when Wellington prides itself on several fresh food & bread establishments. You can't run a cafe like that. Menu is cafe/gastropubish. Has the benefit of being wheelchair accessible, including the toilets. Popular with locals and visitors and runs live music/other events in evening (or did before Covid) Google only lets you edit reviews. Feb 2024.Big improvement at least when just opened. Came in on the Sunday a bit after 10am opening times, after wandering in and asking if the cafe was open Staff had forgetting to switch the open/close sign on the door. Went for the breakfast minus has browns and mushrooms. Asked for tea with the meal (no one wants a cold cuppa). The quality of bread has really improved, no more wonder loaf style. Breakfast was tasty, bread/toast decent chunky slices, which you'd expect in a cafe like this. Tea was a decent, not oversized cup. Cost at under £11 quid inc drinks, about average for some places. Cafe did get busy later in the morning. Still maintains the C.S Lewis decor. With the Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe theme.

I would go again for a coffee but not cake. I tried the ginger cake which was tasteless!! Friendly staff, great ambience, baby friendly and clean cafe. I went there on 28th August not this week. I did try ginger cake which was not good at all Update - of course you had. I got a photo if that helps!!

Been here a few times for breakfast with my Mum which is always lovely so when my friend spotted they do Bottomless Brunch the four of us decided to give it a go. The food was lovely, the full English to start was perfect and I loved the pancake stack. The cakes in the dessert board were a bit hit and miss but they were all vegan which was pretty cool and we'd already had plenty of food before they arrived. My only suggestion to the Gratitude Cafe would be to review their cocktail menu, they were all so strong! For me Bottomless Brunch is about having cute, juicy cocktails, the ones on offer were so strong that after two we asked the lovely waitress if we could have something a bit weaker and they made us all pornstar martini's which went down a lot better! Staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful, and the food is always tasty whenever I visit. At previous visits I've had milkshakes which are amazing and I've also visisted for afternoon tea which was lovely. Gratitude Cafe is incredible and I always be happy to get food here.

Popped in yesterday lunchtime to meet with a friend. Ordered my decafe Mocha after checking the price list board which was displayed clearly up on the wall. Only to be charged an extra 45p for my drink without any explanation. When I questioned this I received an apology saying the price has increased and having decafe is an extra cost also! No where in the cafe is this stated for the public to see. Price increase by law should be displayed for the public to see and only those should be charged! Not hidden costs at the til!

Fantastic cafe, love breakfast. Very accomodating and good vibes. We had two all day breakfasts, and they did a plain omelette and extra bacon for my toddler who thought it was lovely.

Never seem to get my order right

I have visited this cafe a few times and really like it here. Twice being for the afternoon tea which is great value for what you get and both times weve had to take a couple cakes away in a box as so full! ...i would and will come here again. Its a really quirky and quaint cafe run by lovely people. They have a great selection of drinks and lovely cakes. Both afternoon teas we had, there was so much food for the really fair price. They do a bottomless brunch here too which looks good and there were some people enjoying it at times ive visited. Each time i have visited its been bustling and has a nice atmosphere. This cafe is definitely worth a visit if you are in Wellington town centre!

Popped into this cafe on a Saturday lunch time. Walked past a few times but had not been in. Nice vibrant atmosphere with quirky decor with a stage that is used regularly for live bands etc. nice atmosphere. Find a table Ang you place your order at the counter. Licensed restaurants. Great choice in menu and struggled to make a choice. Decided on a Brie, bacon and cranberry toastie on malted bread and a glass of red wine. Son had a bbq pulled pork toastie. Both served together fresh and hot and both were served with portion of fries. Very good size portion for the £8.95 it was. Sandwich was perfect but couldn’t eat all the fries. Service good and would definitely go again due to choice in menu and atmosphere.

Food quality up a notch from Wetherspoons but very overpriced for what you get. Burnt sausages,dirty cutlery,decent coffee. £6.00 for the brekky at best not £10.00

Popped in for tea and cake having heard good things from a friend. My friend and I enjoyed a tasty plum frangipane, fruit scone and a pot of tea. Lovely atmosphere and good service. A place to return to for sure.

Food is very nice but £10 for one sausage, one egg, one slice of toast and a hash brown is very expensive!

Had Afternoon Tea here on the 2nd August, we were an hour early but that wasn't a problem and we were given our table as soon as it was vacant. Lots of lovely food including a great selection of cakes with tea/coffee included. Very generous portions (we had to bring some home!!). Highly recommend.

We love coming here for breakfast. Their coffee is excellent, breakfast is perfect, sausage sandwiches make you want to order another! They also do homemade cakes which are all delicious too. Lovely family run relaxed cafe perfect for lazy mornings!

Good reviews prompted a m7d morning visit for breakfast. Cafe was cold, and about half full. Menu impressed. Wanted pancakes with maple syrup, although this was not on the menu, pancakes with bacon and maple syrup was, but server refused to let me have that but without the bacon! No flexibility. Settled for Eton Mess.pancakes. 15 minutes to arrive. Small thick pancakes, stone cold, a few previosly frozen berries and.covered in the squirty cream which had collapsed into a puddle as i was served. Unpleasant. Partners bacon sandwich on very thick bread was just about acceptable. Server positively grumpy. Expensive compared to other cafes in town. And the laminated menu was sticky. Wont be making a 2nd visit

I stumbled across the Gratitude cafe and I'm so glad I did. It was bright and spacious inside, with plenty of tables. There were two menus available, one for adults and one for kids. They have a set up for live music and a DJ. I ordered a bacon sandwich and an oat milk latte. OMG the sandwich was amazing, packed with tasty bacon and really good bread. The latte was lovely too. On a bonus point, they are dog friendly. The staff wete very friendly. I will be going back.

We had a voucher as a gift from our son for afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would recommend the cafe for a relaxed, laid back experience. Scones were delicious by the way

A lovely cosy place to sit. Excellent fries, fish goujon open sandwich with salad and tea. I really enjoyed the meal. My only criticism is no one asked me how my meal was and this is something I expect in any restaurant with table service. I would definitely go back as the food was so nice

Booked in for afternoon tea for two as I had been given a voucher as a gift. What lovely food and service. We were asked a number of times if everything was ok and did we need a top up on drinks. The interior is quirky and it felt inclusive for children, adults and dogs. I think as it's level a wheelchair could get in and there was room between tables. Afternoon tea was so filling had to ask to bring some home with us. I would recommend and definitely return.

We visited on a Friday morning for drinks & cake. The hot chocolate & cake were wonderful. It had a great atmosphere & friendly staff. You order at the counter & your order is brought over to you. We didn’t have to wait long, & the service was very good. Will definitely return.

Met a group of friends here for lunch. The young staff member handled the separate orders and payments efficiently to ensure that the various snacks and drinks arrived together. The daily savoury (a vegetarian scotch egg) was especially tasty and very good value.

Disappointed with the service. There was a mix up with the order which resulted in a very unprofessional response . We have been regular customers for quite a while, but will not be going back.

First time customer. Loved the friendly atmosphere and cheerful staff. The coffee was good. My only observation is that although they serve gluten free cakes they are not covered. They were on the bottom shelf and any crumbs from the non gluten free cakes on the shelves above could fall onto them. For a Coeliac that would be enough to cause a bad reaction. Which also causes damage to the gut. I was offered gluten free toast, but if the servers are unaware of the risks of cross contamination it made me feel very wary so I politely refused. It was a shame as the food looked very good, and I am sure it is. Just not suitable for Coeliacs.

We used to eat here regularly and really enjoyed the veggie breakfast which included veg sausages. Now, instead of sausages the breakfast has 'vegetable patties'. These are made of cooked vegetables made into cakes and fried - nice enough but not quite right in a fry up. We asked why the change had happened and were told it was due to cost. Meat eaters still get bacon and sausage with their breakfast so apparently cost concerns don't apply to meat eaters. This seems to be another example of vegetarians getting less than meat eaters for the same price. The people here are very pleasant and we would happily eat here again but until the breakfast is improved we will use the Witherspoon's which is 2 minutes walk away, a lot cheaper and offers very nice veg sausages.

Went for breakfast on the 23rd with my wife. excellent food and quick service. Good decor and very clean. Hopefully will be back soon
