Excellent meal with local friends. Great food, great service, will be back again.

We had a large party booking to celebrate a special birthday this evening. The food was delicious and presented well. Hot and served promptly. Can definitely recommend the ham chicken and leek pie, and also the sea bass. Our server this evening was Enrique and he was polite, humorous and attentive, making our birthday girl feel looked after and special. Can definitely recommend this venue for good food and service. Thank you Enrique for making our evening!

I never ever leave a review anywhere, but today, I feel I need to. The Spanish waiter, very very good and a great asset. The kitchen, well how can a pizza and chunky chips be difficult? This is the heart of a restaurant business, not only are people spending good money for a treat or an occasion, but some people can only afford this once a year perhaps. To serve food of this standard and charge for it is to be frank, extremely poor. Take even an once of pride in your job and your 100% better than tonight’s performance. You are letting the rest of your team down. It’s not a given to have customers everyday. We are not interrupting you at work, we are your work. Today was personally my last visit to the red house. It’s no good to say ‘next visit we will be 110% better’ you should be 100% every time or 90% would be an achievement. Sorry to leave this review today. But it was deserved.

Wonderful nourish salad with crispy chilli beef - superb!!

We were celebrating an 18th birthday. The staff were so friendly and attentive which made the experience very special. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. Well done to the Redhouse team, looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic as always. Food arrived promptly and is always of great quality. Henrique was a star as usual and one of the main reasons we come!

Went to the Red House, today for a late breakfast to catch up with friends, the team there were lovely and accommodating with our very late arrival for a breakfast serving! All the food was expertly cooked, coffees and cocktails were also brilliant! Absolutely worth the visit!

I do like this place and I do visit it often for mainly drinks! It is definitely not a Steak place so would not recommend the steak! On my birthday I gave the steak a go again, after a year or more, but I ended up sending my plate back twice due to the steak been chewy and stringy and I ended up having (just desert) which was nice! My main was taken off the bill which helped but it’s just a shame I didn’t get to enjoy a main meal for my birthday! Atmosphere is always good but it’s always very hot in there!

Booked for 4 people over the phone for my wife’s birthday for Sat 3/8 at 19.30 I was asked on the phone if I wanted balloons on the table and I said yes Arrived at 19.20 and was shown to our table had a birthday card on the table but no balloons Ordered drinks and a Classic sharing starter which we had after only 10-12 minutes which was lovely My wife and daughters boyfriend ordered a pizza, my daughter ordered a Prawn Linguine and I ordered a sirloin steak and peppercorn sauce After about 40 minutes a dark haired girl possibly the maitre’d (not our waitress) came to our table and told us that she had seen the pizzas and told the chef to remake them as she wasn’t happy with them and our dinner would be about another 5 minutes When we finally had our meals the 2 pizzas were red hot, my steak was ok but not red hot but the mushroom and grilled tomato was only warm My daughter’s prawn linguine was only luke warm and the maitre’d came over asked if we were happy with our meals. We told her about the linguine and she took it away, after only a couple of minutes she came back with a hot linguine 1. How can this be cooked in 2 minutes so it had obviously been microwaved 2. Whilst the pizzas were being re-cooked I believe the steak and linguine meals were already sitting on the side hence while they were not hot 3.I’ve had much better steak meals for the same or slightly less money (the Cow Shed for one) with better quality and presentation and quantity 1 x mushroom 1 x grilled tomato fries and a steak On a plus the girl’s cocktails very lovely Overall we were Very disappointed with the meals, and attention to detail at a cost of over £163 definitely not worth the money, your restaurant was very busy and don’t think you could cope with the amount of covers you were cooking for

Beautiful decor inside, with loads of space. Staff were very friendly and the menu had plenty of choice. Six of us visited and mainly ate off the lunch menu, the food was really tasty, and I was impressed with the portion size of the kids meal. All in all I would definitely go back when in the area.

First visit will not be the last well appointed venue for people of all abilities comfortable seating great friendly service no long waiting times even when obviously very busy and most importantly excellent food and drink 5 stars doesn't do it justice

Sunday lunch , hard dry roast potatoes, rubbery yorkshire pud , had to ask for mustard gravy etc. Gravy didn’t appear until we asked again , by that time we had almost finished the meal . Food wasn’t very hot. Seated on a large table for 14 with benches to sit on , two hours sitting without support was very uncomfortable . No check back to see how the food was .

Made a booking had confirmation drove half an hour to get there to be told they are closed for lunch ,I asked why they didn't contact me the gentleman told me the phones did not work ,as he said this the phone rang .

Sunday lunch was shocking, Cold meat and cold potatoes, the meat had far too much fat on and if I was presenting it to customers I for one would have cut it off or not served it. The mash potato was dry and had been either left on the hot counter for to long or pinged in the microwave. The girl serving us was pleasant so can’t knock that but to get the bill with a service charge on wasn’t the best idea to give a customer when the food was nowhere near up to standard. We had x2 Kids chocolate brownie to take away we was told was meant to come with ice cream and we got home opened it to 2 mini chocolate brownies and no ice cream so we had disappointed children which isn’t nice. Food was 4/10 at best and I’m probably being kind.

Sadly disappointed. Service was poor, loads of mistakes with order and drinks not turning up without asking 2 or 3 times. Burgers.. don't bother very boring, nothing bespoke. Fast food as tasty and fraction of the price. Chicken pie... a wedge from a big pie with shredded checking in it. Again nothing of a wow factor. Pizza ...no chance took order and then removed them as an option because ran out of ingredients. Soup starter required a drink after each mouthful to remove taste. Very expensive meal that turned out disappointing. Also one of those sneaky places that throws a service charge on bill. Tbf was removed when highlighted but really should be a choice either than compelled and our experience really didn't warrant an 7.5% service charge. We won't be returning to the venue

Came here after a hike and it was a lovely place to eat. The menu was unique, which was nice to see. I had a lovely salad with chicken, hummus, and grilled tomatoes. I also had the stuffed potato skins. My partner’s black and blue chips were also very tasty. The bartender and waitress were both friendly and prompt. Would visit again!

Beautiful restaurant and amazing food The cocktails were perfect and the staff members were accommodating to my allergy aswell as my child who has extra needs. The team gave my son a birthday card too which was really nice.

Food was ok but more of an upmarket pub than a restaurant. Felt the place looked better than it was. Waited at the door to be seated & one of the servers saw us but carried on. Another girl came over and asked us to wait in the bar. By the time we had our drinks, the table was ready. Dissapointingly, the server just pointed to table before placing menu's on and walked off. Normally, this wouldn't bother me but the fact that a gratuity is automatically added to the bill, I would expect the server to offer to take your drinks and show you to your table. Would go back but not for special occasions, more of a mid week meal out kind of place.

Arrived earlier than our booking but was assured this was not a problem. Drinks ordered and arrived swiftly . Food chosen and it was nice to do a bit of people watching! We shared a dessert but had to wait a very long time. The waiter apologised and said that it was on the house! It was very busy and quite noisy too.

We chose to stop and have a drink on return from an afternoon out. Beautiful pub, great choices of drinks, bar staff were welcoming and were happy to supply ice for the bulldogs water. Plan to for a meal in the near future.

We keep going back to taste the delights of this place that includes both the food and the service. Too numerous to review every time but can highly recommend. We had booked our favourite table for us near the front door and behind the till. I am extremely vulnerable health wise and The Red House understands this. They are always amazing and helpful. When we arrived they were buzzing, so full restaurant and our table had been given away to a couple who had been waiting 65mins. But hey presto the lovely Manager was onto it and juggled something around and got us settled into our Table. The Food was delicious. We had a bit of a wait for the mains but hey ho it was heaving. Thank you Manager and Staff you are one in a million.

Been here a few times now, and always really enjoy it. Great varied menu and portion sizes are really generous. Love the atmosphere too. Our server was Ollie and he was really nice and friendly.

Stopped in for a drink but on past experience the food has been excellent and the service good.

Family birthday meal for our 16yr daughter. Payed for a balloon table display. £10. Very disappointed with it as it was just 4 balloons as photo. The balloons are like this after 3 days. Food great and atmosphere, but will not be paying for table decorations again.

Great to come away from a restaurant wanting to return - not disappointed.

Our table was lovely suitable for a party of 5, including a child along with a gift for her crayons and a box of things to do, she loved it.We decided on mains and desserts I had tabbouleh salad with sea bass which was delicious and filling I eat complex carbs so ideal with giant couscous. Highly recommend! Other meals enjoyed and the sausages looked tick and tasty that was on the child's menu.Desserts were equally delicious I had Macha choux bun not sweet never had it before which was new.The atmosphere was cosy yet busy not loud form other tables, the restaurant can accommodate a lot of diners in and out for a Saturday lunchtime pretty busy. Large menu covering allergies, vegetarian and vegan which is good.Service excellent attended at the right time and always with a smile.

My wife and myself weren't at all impressed, we booked and confirmed our booking and was then told we'd arrived late, but we were early. We waited at the check in on arrival but no one came to us so we went to the bar, and after waiting a while was abrubtly told we must wait to be seen at the door before being seated. When we were seated it was between two families with very young children who were obviously tired!!, Not a relaxing time at all and if I'm being brutally honest the food wasn't anything special either, needless to say we won't be returning.

Nice pub,plenty of space between tables. Mainly standard pub grub. However does have a pizza oven, unfortunately the base of mine was soggy not what I wished for,topping was good though.

Lovely pub, great food with really fresh ingredients. Service was very attentive, outside garden lovely in the sunshine.

We went with friends for Saturday evening dinner - a first time visit. Well appointed more restaurant than pub, we were welcomed and had attentive service from Henrique throughout. Food was good though not exceptional; prices were highish. It was a bit odd at the end when we skipped dessert and asked for the bill we were then told we needed to vacate the table within 10 minutes for an incoming booking; this was our plan anyhow but suddenly we felt not welcome anymore - an unfortunate conclusion to a nice evening. Management policy a little confused here as we were then handed a tablet to in depth course by course food reviews which we ignored and departed.

Love this place, it always has such a nice atmosphere and the menu offers quality produce at reasonable prices. Service is always excellent with friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble, even when it’s very busy. The cocktails are a must!

Redhouse is a firm favourite of ours, always great food, atmosphere and service. This was especially prevalent on our last visit where we were served by the wonderful Henrique! His service was faultless! We will be back!

My partner is gluten free and asked for gluten free meal after eating it she began to feel unwell on the way home and was up most of night on toilet

Amazing time celebrating a friend’s 30th birthday! The team were amazing from the second we entered to the moment we left, child friendly too, the food was absolutely incredible.

It's the first time we've come here. The atmosphere is not bad, but the food is disgusting. We ordered four medium rare steaks, and in the end only one of the four steaks was cooked properly. The steaks were very stringy, for such money they could have chosen better meat. They put too much ice in the juice so I ordered juice and drank water. In the end we left hungry and paid a lot of money!

Henrique looked after us very well. Good service and the food was good particularly the see bass and limoncello cheesecake

Food was great but very expensive for portion sizes. We were also ushered from our table before we were ready to leave for a large party. We weren't informed there was a time limit on our table prior to being asked to move/leave.

Always have an absolutely super time here; the Red House is our local. I love the ambience and it is always warm and cosy. A lot of effort has gone into the decor and customer experience. We visit most weeks for dinner and always enjoy ourselves. Food is lovely and very well presented. Whenever we have friends staying we always bring them here! We visited tonight and Henrique was so welcoming and really made our meal memorable Thankyou from table 7 :)

Great food, relaxed and buzzy atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and Henrique was extremely helpful and attentive.

The acoustics were great so you got an atmosphere but could hear people on your own table. One of the vegan main dishes was basically a slice of cauliflower (not huge) with a bit of mushroom (again, not much). It was a starter priced and served as a main. Shocking. Three people having two different dishes all said that their meat was over done. Disappointing. Disappointing that non-vegan/vegetarian dishes has no vegetable content whatsoever. Not a full meal at all. Service was good.

Really enjoyed a catch up meal with friends. All the food was excellent, particularly the belly pork. Henrique was our very attentive waiter for the night. He is a credit to the organisation.

Excellent Service, we have allergies and intolerances. Server, Henrique, could not do enough to help. The Chef was also very thorough to make sure the food wasn't cooked in our allergens. We're local and will be returning.
