Went for breakfast with my husband. He had full English which he said wa s eye good but he’d liked the option of white toast as he doesn’t like the seeded given. I have eggs Benedict without the ham as in veggie and there was no option for eggs florentine. I also had the granola which was very nice. Coffees were good and the waitress was lovely. Will come again.

The restaurant was really busy as it was the week end before Christmas but we were well looked after by the manager and our confident and engaging waiter Ollie. The food was very good and we would recommend coming here if you are staying in or around Lilleshall.

Waited over 30 minutes for our table to become free, which had been booked over 2 weeks in advance for a special birthday. We ended up cancelling and going elsewhere. The managers excuse was that the bottomless brunch guests were drunk and they couldn't get them off the table. He offered to call or email the next day to refund the drinks we had whilst we waited. No call or email was recieved and no refund recieved either. Very disappointing as we have been to the Red House a few times before and enjoyed the experience. Sadly the place was over run with customers waiting for their prebooked tables. We will not be returning in a hurry. Such a shame.

My favourite from the paragon group, regularly visit but always have the Thai chicken skewer - just the best ! Love the ambiance in the restaurant, went on date night Saturday and must say that our server - Ollie WJ , made my great visit into an even greater one , he was full of charm , polite , friendly, and funny. He’s a great career ahead of him !! May I also add the toilets are like being at the Tom Ford counter in selfridges …. Stunning look & gorgeous aroma 😍 Look forward to visiting the new willow restaurant at Telford centre. Paragon … you never disappoint, thanks ☺️

The Red House in Newport is a fantastic restaurant with a modern and stylish atmosphere. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience. I would highly recommend The Red House for a special occasion or a night out with friends. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

Amazing food, the service was good, until I had pointed out our sides hadn’t come out after we had finished our dinner, I was asked by our waiter if we wanted a desert menu, to which I realised yes. To find ourselves sitting there for over 30 mins. The couple next to us got their menus and pudding before someone finally spotted us, we had our desert order ready. I just felt we had been forgotten about and with 2 children it was frustrating like we were being avoided! Like I said the food was amazing the atmosphere was lovely just the service from that waiter let us down.

Please avoid. Sadly it isn’t possible to give zero stars. My partner booked a table for 7.30pm for my family to attend my birthday meal. I was very excited as I have previously loved this venue. We arrived at 7.30 to be told our table was not yet ready, although the diners at our table were “paying their bill” and could we go to get a drink at the bar? We went to the bar, it was not possible to get a drink at the bar as the bar was 4 deep in people, and also trying to prepare drinks for diners, so we could not get served. My family returned to the front desk and informed the female staff member of the situation at the bar, she shrugged and gestured towards the side of the restaurant. We then stood to the side of the restaurant waiting for our table. Another staff member stopped by to ask what we were doing. We had already been waiting 10 minutes for our table. This staff member then proceeded to tell us that the diners currently on our table had arrived 20 minutes late and were “stringing it it out” so everything would be running later as a result. He was dismissive and rude in his manner. We waited a further 10 minutes. My partner went over to discuss the situation with the 2 staff members we had spoken to since arriving. Again, they were dismissive. The male staff member said he is trying his best. This was not our perception. We waited some more. After 25 minutes of waiting, I once again approached the female staff member “greeting” diners and asked when she thought our table might be ready. At no point did this person even look up at me. The “greeter”scrolled through the computer screen continuously while I was speaking. I asked her if she could hear me, and if so, could she please acknowledge that I was speaking? She did then slightly glance in my direction and state that she was looking for available tables. I then felt it necessary to list several points of good customer service and manners that I am aware of to this person (as they did not appear to comprehend general speech or have had any basic training in customer service). Points I noted were; making eye contact with customers, listening (or pretending to be listening to customers) and apologising for delays and inconvenience to the customer, even if it is not directly your fault. (NB to Paragon Group, I am very happy to offer this training to your employees, and can even include sessions in “giving the illusion I care about your situation” at no extra charge) Joking aside, I did also express my disappointment at the situation, as I stated earlier, I have previously enjoyed this restaurant. My family and I then left the restaurant without dining as it was made abundantly clear by both members of staff we interacted with that they literally could not care less about us as customers. This was the most awful customer experience I have ever had in a restaurant in all of my life. Unfortunately though, It is the second negative experience I have had from the Paragon Group in 2 weeks, which leads me to believe the group is directed by greed for money through numbers of covers rather than quality of service or a remotely positive customer experience. I will never again knowingly visit a Paragon Group venue, and will endeavour to ensure none of my acquaintances are unfortunate enough to do so also.

Absolutely amazing experience at the red house. Everything was perfect, the atmosphere and decoration was lovely. All of the food was incredible! Tasted amazing, great portion sizes, some of the nicest food we have ever had! What made the evening was the kind attentive staff, Grace on front of house was lovely and polite and our waiter (sadly I do not know his name) was amazing! He was so attentive and really cared that we had an enjoyable evening. As we were there for a celebration we were also given a free dessert which was an amazing lovely surprise!! Overall, would highly recommend this restaurant!!

We revisited The Red House three times in 2024 . Our first visited was very nice but the last 2 in July and November 2024 have been very disappointing. The Red House seems to have 'lost its way' in culinary terms and although a comfortable restraunt, it needs to take a long , hard look at it's catering and drinks quality. In our latest visit we had an afternoon visit after a stressful hospital visit for my wife . The drugs she is taking limits her appetite so she opted for a Scampi and Chips whilst I fancied the Steak and Guiness Pudding with Mash ( not cheap at £20 ) . When the Scampi arrived it was overcooked and hard and the chips were OK but nothing special . My Pudding was rather tasteless and it was mounted on a very watery and bland mashed potatoes . We had a long chat with the waiter / front of house person who was very apologetic. They offer us a free dessert but my wife has limited appetite so we declined . The waiter did not charge for my wife's meal and we left hoping that the staff can work through this catering problem to return The Red House back to quality we used to like . Old Review .. 2021 We revisited the recently reopened , on 12 April 2021 following lockdown , Red House on Friday 23 April 2021 for an anniversary lunchtime meal. Until 17 May 2021 ,the only service is at outdoor tables and with a limited menu. We had booked it a few days earlier as the Red House is proving to be very popular and only a few times were available when we booked on line. We were concerned when an automated call phoned us back yesterday to remind us about the booking and asking us to confirm the booking ... when we phoned The Red House we did not have to confirm our booking. A number of people arrived whilst we were there and were turned away as they had not made bookings and the Red House did not space for them. Luckily the weather has been kind to us so we were able to enjoy our meal in the sunshine . There are about 20 tables outside and they are positioned at a good distance from each other. ( I don't know how they deal with rain in this position but they did have some large umbrellas over three of the tables) The staff are all equipped with WiFi tablets to take drink and food orders . Customers are allowed into the building to visit the toilet but must wear a mask. Old review from 2019 ... The Red House has been improved beyond recognition with comfortable atmosphere and spacious table seating. The dark atmosphere can seem strange on arrival but the spotlights over each table place mean that the food is highlighted and a centre piece of the experience. The quality of the food, both in taste and appearance, is impressive although more expensive than other places . It is well worth the additional cost for the overall feeling of satisfaction you get after visiting and enjoying the Red House. The service at The Red House was impeccable as we had Pascal , a head waiter from The Swan with Two necks, as our waiter. He is on temporary assignment at The Red House helping get the new staff into shape. The bar had four real ale handpumps serving Doombar, Black Sheep Amber Ale, Purity Gold and St Austell Tribute. I had an ok drink of the Purity Gold for £3.80 a pint. The toilet facilities in the centre of the Red House have been completely remodelled to a high similar high standard. The access for disabled people is generally good however some sections do have a step up into them. There has been extensive work on the right hand outside of the building with outdoor seating and tables added.

Here for breakfast, the quality of the food was unquestionable, and gets top marks. It's a shame that the experience was so disappointing. The welcome was cheerless with no response to my attempt at light heartedness. It's a large restaurant area, but we were taken to a corner that quickly became full with new arrivals and felt a bit crowded in whilst elsewhere was empty. I didnt want mushrooms and asked if I could have a couple of their mini hash browns in their place, but was declined. The breakfast was served with 3 half pieces off a small loaf, so theres not really enough to go with beans and eggs. Cappuccino was a half full small cup so didnt outlast the wait for the breakfast to be served. There is a 7.5pc tip automatically included onto the bill, which anyone would feel awkward to ask to be removed. So overall we felt value for money was poor, I dont mind paying the extra for the quality of the food, but the value felt diminished with each negative part of the experience. I hope the owners will take this constructively.

Visited on a Tuesday evening with a larger party of 11 for a birthday we were celebrating. Drinks and starters were great, service was great. Once the main courses had been brought to the table, it was as though we’d been completely forgotten about. I had the chargrilled chilli king prawn linguini and it was so disappointing. The pasta was overcooked and had congealed, the whole thing could be picked up with a fork in a lump. It was meant to be served with red pesto cream, rocket & italian cheese. It was dry and tasteless save for the tiny blobs of red pesto on the plate (not red pesto cream, like straight out of a jar). Grand total of 6 king prawns in the meal which were rubbery. For £18. No one came to the table to check on us, so ate what I could stomach and left the rest. Had to go searching for a staff member to get the bill after not being attended to for at least an hour. I know I could’ve complained on getting the bill but by that time I was fed up and just wanted to pay and leave tbh. Not sure if it’s different staff during the week as every time we’ve been on a weekend it’s been exceptional.

A very disappointing experience. We waited over 30 minutes for a starter, then the waitress informed us that the order had not gone through from her ipad to the kitchen. Starters were good. My friend's skewer main course was dry, tough and inedible. My steak came in strips and was cold. My husbands burger was good. When I complained we were met with a completely stoney faced waitress and no apology. I refused to pay for the skewer but when the bill arrived they had only deducted half the amount so we asked for the full amount to be deducted. The waiting staff were excellent and polite...but the person responsible for the food was downright rude. Never again!

Atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, nice music, visuals and comfy. Service was nice but not perfect, staff were friendly but felt that they were busy as it just seemed a bit rushed. Food was good, looked lovely and the ideas were nice, portion size was what you wanted. Just felt that the flavours weren't bold enough for what it was, might be a personal preference. Travelled 3 hours today to meet with my daughters future family for their engagement meal, it's the place where they had their first date 5 years ago. Entered well spaced car park, greeted by lovely staff, excellent menu options, staff very attentive and nice, lovely atmosphere, very clean place and were made to feel extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble. After such a long journey we just wanted to relax and celebrate and that's exactly what we did. I'll be highly recommending this place to anyone in the area and want to thank all staff and chefs for a lovely evening and meal. Ps; the bacon chop was amazing!

The team were brilliant. Food was fantastic. Chicken and chorizo sandwich was brill, with the leek and potato soup, great mix. The gravy was really rich and flavoured, we want to take a flask home. Chef was very friendly. Hot rhubarb and orange pie was divine, tangy and the coconut ice cream had an amazing flavour. Popcorn chicken was lovely. The kids chocolate pizza was a great. Good prices.

We keep going back to taste the delights of this place that includes both the food and the service. Too numerous to review every time but can highly recommend. We had booked our favourite table for us near the front door and behind the till. We settled into our Table. The Food was delicious. We always enjoy visits to the red house, we had been going for years and never been disappointed. You can get dressed up or dress casual and would not feel out of place. Relaxed atmosphere. Aesthetically pleasing both surroundings and culinary delights.Today we were celebrating my husband’s promotion. OLLIE C was our server. He was so attentive and professional. My husband is a very picky eater and can always find something he likes. We have never had to send anything back presentation and taste excellent. Everything is delicious 😋 highly recommend this establishment as great value for money. I paid extra for ballon’s on the table hubby was too full for dessert, however Ollie brought out cake and I cream with a sparkling candle complimentary. Fabulous end to a fabulous meal.

We have visited other restaurants owned by the Parogon group, but this was our first visit to The Red House. Food was spot on (pork belly highly recommended!) but where this restaurant really stood out was the service. All the staff were good, but I want to give a special shout out to our server Henrique who made us feel very welcome, really knew his stuff when we had questions about the food and ensured our evening was one to remember. We had an incredible meal at The Red House. Food was absolutely delicious and arrived quickly. To top that off, we received amazing service by Henrique who went above and beyond for us. He was friendly, polite, and couldn’t do enough to make our experience a great one! The Red House are lucky to have such a great employee like Henrique. I booked this as a birthday dinner for my partner, and while the drinks were enjoyable, the service was not up to standard. The steak we received was excellent, but I later noticed a hair on the pot my chips were served in. I pointed this out to a staff member, and while the pot was taken away, nothing further was done. In any other restaurant, I would have expected an apology and a replacement. When it came to my partner’s birthday cake, the staff seemed indifferent. Strangely, the table opposite us was also celebrating a birthday, and the staff sang “Happy Birthday” for them but not for us. Overall, for a meal that total cost around £150, the experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning again.

We had an enjoyable evening on Saturday 12th October . Our waiter Henrique was amazing. He was warm and welcoming with a lovely smile. Nothing was to much bother for him to ensure the we enjoyed our date night We would highly recommend the belly pork from the menu. The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant

Been here plenty of times so know how great it can be - but today the service just wasn’t good enough. Ordered drinks and the wrong beer was bought to the table. Ordered tap water and had to remind staff after 20 of waiting. Two starters arrived 10 minutes apart. One had been finished before the other arrived. Then ordered another beer and gave up waiting after 20 minutes. If they are going to charge premium prices like these, having haphazard service just isn’t good enough. It wasn’t even that busy. Food was good but the service was poor.

Been here lots of times so know how great it can be - but today the service fell far short of acceptable standards. We ordered drinks and the wrong beer arrived. We also ordered tap water and had to remind them after waiting 20 minutes. The starters arrived more than ten minutes apart - the first one had been finished before the second even arrived. Then to top it off, we ordered a second round of drinks which never actually arrived. Food was good, but if they're going to charge premium prices, the service needs to be consistently good.

Returned here for a dish I’d previously had. Excited as I’ve been thinking about it for some time - prepare to be disappointed 🙄 The prawns were so hard you could have broken the wall with them. Very disappointing. As always the service is haphazard at best, and it’s NOT value for money. Eat a your peril!

We didn’t get given childrens menus I had to ask and then our food took about an hour to come. The chips came and then not the main meals I had to go and ask. They brought the kids extra drinks over to say sorry which they didn’t need. But then at the end made a big deal about knocking money off and it was just the 5 for the kids drinks and an extra 10 pounds off the bill. I wouldn’t go again. Hope my wedding at the Severn stars is better!

Half a pot of tea delivered, coffee was average. Poached eggs on the small breakfast and the eggs Benedict were all so undercooked they turned into a pool of sludge when cut into. They were left on the plates but not commented on. A round of toast must have been from a mini loaf. All for the tiny sum of around £35 which included an automatic service charge!

Lovely to see this place pop up in Telford. It has really elevated the brunch options in the area and is family and dog friendly. I regularly attend with my parents and am pleased to see increasing vegan options on the menu. So easy to order and pay either in person or via the QR code. Also - very nice decor, feels cosy like a living room.
