The Red House Inn in Telford and Wrekin

We keep going back to taste the delights of this place that includes both the food and the service. Too numerous to review every time but can highly recommend. We had booked our favourite table for us near the front door and behind the till. We settled into our Table. The Food was delicious. We had a a fabulous roast dinner and the toffee apple crumble with ice cream was sublime. Thank you Manager and Staff you are one in a million.

We always enjoy visits to the red house, we had been going for years and never been disappointed. You can get dressed up or dress casual and would not feel out of place. Relaxed atmosphere. Aesthetically pleasing both surroundings and culinary delights.Today we were celebrating my husband’s promotion. OLLIE C was our server. He was so attentive and professional. My husband is a very picky eater and can always find something he likes. We have never had to send anything back presentation and taste excellent. Everything is delicious 😋 highly recommend this establishment as great value for money. I paid extra for ballon’s on the table hubby was too full for dessert, however Ollie brought out cake and I cream with a sparkling candle complimentary. Fabulous end to a fabulous meal.

Food was great but very expensive for portion sizes. We were also ushered from our table before we were ready to leave for a large party. We weren't informed there was a time limit on our table prior to being asked to move/leave.

Henrique was an amazing person and so lively at 8.30 at night . He was such a nice man.

What an amazing place and delicious food! It is not our first time in The Red House and every single time we think it can’t be any better, but guess what, it is! However, Henrique was the star of the evening! He was always at hand for help and very enthusiastic! I can recommend that place absolutely everyone!

Came here with a friend for the first time. A lovely experience from start to finish. We were very well looked after by Holly and the rest of the team. They were all consistently friendly, informative and professional. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the decor and ambiance added to the great evening. We couldn’t fault a thing and would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to come back.

Brilliantly friendly and attentive service from Henrique. Excellent food from 2-course special menu. On a busy Friday evening , the restaurant was really noisy with convivial banter and pointless background music. Only recommend if you have perfect hearing or else choose a less busy time for a lovely dining experience.

Amazing lunch. The Deli Gastro Pub sharing starter was incredible. All our food was. Prompt service and very friendly.

Had a great meal at the Red house, staff were all very welcoming and the food was great as always. Really enjoyed the starters too, the leek and potato soup was great.

Ollie was a wonderful server, said to my partner that the tallulah salad was one of the best meals I've had in my 25 years of life, never a bad meal whenever I visit here.

Really like the variety on the menu especially for us non meat eaters! I can always find something different to enjoy. Super flavourful food. Yummy cocktails served by friendly staff especially Ollie C!

We have visited other restaurants owned by the Parogon group, but this was our first visit to The Red House. Food was spot on (pork belly highly recommended!) but where this restaurant really stood out was the service. All the staff were good, but I want to give a special shout out to our server Henrique who made us feel very welcome, really knew his stuff when we had questions about the food and ensured our evening was one to remember. Thanks Henrique!

We had an incredible meal at The Red House. Food was absolutely delicious and arrived quickly. To top that off, we received amazing service by Henrique who went above and beyond for us. I booked this as a birthday dinner for my partner, and while the drinks were enjoyable, the service was not up to standard. The steak we received was excellent, but I later noticed a hair on the pot my chips were served in. I pointed this out to a staff member, and while the pot was taken away, nothing further was done. In any other restaurant, I would have expected an apology and a replacement. When it came to my partner’s birthday cake, the staff seemed indifferent. Strangely, the table opposite us was also celebrating a birthday, and the staff sang “Happy Birthday” for them but not for us. Overall, for a meal that total cost around £150, the experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning again.

Lovely staff and atmosphere. Didn't enjoy the Chunky chips as had a funky taste. Also the fish goujons were over cooked. The mozzarella balls were delicious 😋.

We had an enjoyable evening on Saturday 12th October . Our waiter Henrique was amazing. He was warm and welcoming with a lovely smile. Nothing was to much bother for him to ensure the we enjoyed our date night We would highly recommend the belly pork from the menu. The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant

Been here lots of times so know how great it can be - but today the service fell far short of acceptable standards. We ordered drinks and the wrong beer arrived. We also ordered tap water and had to remind them after waiting 20 minutes. The starters arrived more than ten minutes apart - the first one had been finished before the second even arrived. Then to top it off, we ordered a second round of drinks which never actually arrived. Food was good, but if they're going to charge premium prices, the service needs to be consistently good.

Been here plenty of times so know how great it can be - but today the service just wasn’t good enough. Ordered drinks and the wrong beer was bought to the table. Ordered tap water and had to remind staff after 20 of waiting. Two starters arrived 10 minutes apart. One had been finished before the other arrived. Then ordered another beer and gave up waiting after 20 minutes. If they are going to charge premium prices like these, having haphazard service just isn’t good enough. It wasn’t even that busy. Food was good but the service was poor.

Returned here for a dish I’d previously had. Excited as I’ve been thinking about it for some time - prepare to be disappointed 🙄 The prawns were so hard you could have broken the wall with them. Very disappointing. As always the service is haphazard at best, and it’s NOT value for money. Eat a your peril!

Premium price, mediocre food, poor service.

Half a pot of tea delivered, coffee was average. Poached eggs on the small breakfast and the eggs Benedict were all so undercooked they turned into a pool of sludge when cut into. They were left on the plates but not commented on. A round of toast must have been from a mini loaf. All for the tiny sum of around £35 which included an automatic service charge!

We didn’t get given childrens menus I had to ask and then our food took about an hour to come. The chips came and then not the main meals I had to go and ask. They brought the kids extra drinks over to say sorry which they didn’t need. But then at the end made a big deal about knocking money off and it was just the 5 for the kids drinks and an extra 10 pounds off the bill. I wouldn’t go again. Hope my wedding at the Severn stars is better!

Arrived early and that was no issue. Speed of service was excellent and food was excellent.

Not exceptional quality food..but High prices

The meal was amazing with elevated pub style food and executed very well, our server was amazing and very much deserves the service charge. We ate off the starter and main deal menu which was great value and was a good portion. Steak does come with just 2 cooking options link or well done which is good in my opinion and i will day make sure you read the menu fully so you don't miss anything important. The puddings were amazing and light on the belly after mains. Overall i would recommend this place to anyone.

Very average food. Brought the bill which we hadn’t asked for before we had finished. Silly answer from badly dressed staff. Service charged added which we got removed. Beware downhill service food and staff writing on the wall. GFY

Absolutely fabulous. Went there on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. Atmosphere and ambience is spot on, customer service is brilliant, in particular our waiter, Henrikae who was absolutely fantastic. Although busy, the food was served in a reasonable time and was absolutely gorgeous. First class dining experience, you really cannot go wrong with this place. Booking essential!

Came here for my dad’s birthday one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Enrique was brilliant, such a gentleman and funny guy. Food was top notch I had the steak with peppercorn if you want a steak with good peppercorn go here. My dad massively enjoyed it great atmosphere. Will 1000% be coming again. Brilliant.

Food was lovely - plenty of gluten free options too. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and will go back if we are in the area again.

We recently moved to the local area. The Redhouse, is a highly recommended place to dine out , or just for drinks, cocktails. The food is cooked and tastes beautiful. The atmosphere & decor of the restaurant, is a must for you and your friends to socialise and enjoy great food. We will definitely be using this location again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This was our first visit after being recommended by word of mouth. Well what can I say! What a place! The decor and ambiance was amazing and the customer service was first class and the food was absolutely delicious! We had the Chicken Panko for our main and it was lovely! Had an absolutely lovely meal here today. We had the panko mozzarella and king prawn stroganoff to start, both were absolutely beautiful but especially the stroganoff as it had so much flavour it was absolutely delicious. We had the Caesar salad with grilled sea bass and vegan burger for our mains, both were lovely and was so filling. The staff were so friendly, and couldn't do enough for us, even though we were a little underdressed in walking gear for a Sunday afternoon. They made us feel so welcome and at home, can't thank them enough for the 5 star food and service ☺️

Can definitely recommend the ham chicken and leek pie, and also the sea bass. Our server this evening was Enrique and he was polite, humorous and attentive, making our birthday girl feel looked after and special. Can definitely recommend this venue for good food and service. I never ever leave a review anywhere, but today, I feel I need to. The Spanish waiter, very very good and a great asset. The kitchen, well how can a pizza and chunky chips be difficult? This is the heart of a restaurant business, not only are people spending good money for a treat or an occasion, but some people can only afford this once a year perhaps. To serve food of this standard and charge for it is to be frank, extremely poor. Take even an once of pride in your job and your 100% better than tonight’s performance. You are letting the rest of your team down. It’s not a given to have customers everyday. We are not interrupting you at work, we are your work. Today was personally my last visit to the red house. It’s no good to say ‘next visit we will be 110% better’ you should be 100% every time or 90% would be an achievement. Sorry to leave this review today. But it was deserved.

Wonderful nourish salad with crispy chilli beef - superb!!

We were celebrating an 18th birthday. The staff were so friendly and attentive which made the experience very special. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. Well done to the Redhouse team, looking forward to our next visit.

Went to the Red House, today for a late breakfast to catch up with friends, the team there were lovely and accommodating with our very late arrival for a breakfast serving! All the food was expertly cooked, coffees and cocktails were also brilliant! Absolutely worth the visit!

I do like this place and I do visit it often for mainly drinks! It is definitely not a Steak place so would not recommend the steak! On my birthday I gave the steak a go again, after a year or more, but I ended up sending my plate back twice due to the steak been chewy and stringy and I ended up having (just desert) which was nice! My main was taken off the bill which helped but it’s just a shame I didn’t get to enjoy a main meal for my birthday! Atmosphere is always good but it’s always very hot in there!

Booked for 4 people over the phone for my wife’s birthday for Sat 3/8 at 19.30 I was asked on the phone if I wanted balloons on the table and I said yes Arrived at 19.20 and was shown to our table had a birthday card on the table but no balloons Ordered drinks and a Classic sharing starter which we had after only 10-12 minutes which was lovely My wife and daughters boyfriend ordered a pizza, my daughter ordered a Prawn Linguine and I ordered a sirloin steak and peppercorn sauce After about 40 minutes a dark haired girl possibly the maitre’d (not our waitress) came to our table and told us that she had seen the pizzas and told the chef to remake them as she wasn’t happy with them and our dinner would be about another 5 minutes When we finally had our meals the 2 pizzas were red hot, my steak was ok but not red hot but the mushroom and grilled tomato was only warm My daughter’s prawn linguine was only luke warm and the maitre’d came over asked if we were happy with our meals. We told her about the linguine and she took it away, after only a couple of minutes she came back with a hot linguine 1. How can this be cooked in 2 minutes so it had obviously been microwaved 2. Whilst the pizzas were being re-cooked I believe the steak and linguine meals were already sitting on the side hence while they were not hot 3.I’ve had much better steak meals for the same or slightly less money (the Cow Shed for one) with better quality and presentation and quantity 1 x mushroom 1 x grilled tomato fries and a steak On a plus the girl’s cocktails very lovely Overall we were Very disappointed with the meals, and attention to detail at a cost of over £163 definitely not worth the money, your restaurant was very busy and don’t think you could cope with the amount of covers you were cooking for
