Lovely pub we went to for a family Christmas meal. Food was great and they had Hawkstone on tap !

Went for Christmas dinner with friends. Food was lovely, service was excellent. We were served by Ethan, he was very polite, professional and friendly.

A proper pub! Good food, good beer and a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and a welcoming place all round 😁

The 1st time we had a meal at the Queens was absolutely amazing meal was gorgeous. The next time we were unaware they only had the Christmas menu not good I had pie pastry was dry veg 1 french bean a sprout and a bit of cold cabbage the chips however were great we were looking forward to the meal we had last time so we were extremely disappointed

A Group of us had the festive Turkey of the two course menu last night 05/12/24 it was awful the turkey was off a deli counter not from the breast of turkey the 4 people who had the turkey said it had a funny taste to it the rest of the meal was mainly potato mash and roasters which the roasters were white in colour not a nice brown the only good thing was the Yorkshire pudding when asked if everything was okay we said what was wrong with the meal just got ill let them know did not get any feed back from the staff. Just have seen Four in Bed in More4 and need to tell the owners are very opinionated i will not be happy too, with a noisy room ever in the country side. Greetings from Switzerland

Very nice pub my room was very clean and very nice, the food was great I had the fish and chips and it was amazing lots of choice for the beer and the staff were very welcoming and friendly will be staying again and would recommend popping in for some food or a drink if passing

We had a very nice meal and good service. The windows were open on a very stormy September night, so we spent the evening batting daddy long-legs away - bizarre that no-one thought to shut the windows, it was a bit chilly too.

Definitely not following the allergy and intolerance rules. Not once was we asked about allergies. Apart from that the food was ok . Be on guard Queens, Costa just killed a customer this could ruin you . Get the staff updated on the allergy procedures.

Fantastic place with beautiful surroundings. The food was delicious (we both had ham, egg & chips) and the presentation was an added bonus! Although they were extremely busy, the food was served in no time at all. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to visit again.

Unfortunately this place didn't live up to the hype , my starter was shocking , advertised as HOT SMOKED MACKEREL, mackerel was frozen it was awful , vinegar pots on table hadn't been changed in weeks , we wernt advised of gin being of a cheap variety , just awful , this was a table of 12 people and being a chef myself I was shocked when the waitress told me the mackerel had been taken out of the freezer on Monday and it was now Saturday night ! Terrible experience and I won't be recommending or returning

Came across this pub by chance and was very pleased we stopped. Food was excellent and well worth the money...we had the lunch menu... We sat outside and enjoyed the view, service was good and staff friendly

The bar area is gloomy. The smell of fried fish permeates the room, kitchen ventilation is sadly missing

This is the most picturesque pub I have visited yet in Telford, lots of space comfortable seating, great food and drink - all well priced.

Food really good very much let down by service. We had our starter in around 10mins. We finished our starters and waitress cleared them as she was going in the kitchen door ours mains where coming out. We felt like it was madonalds drive through. Too quick, we should of sent them back but did not in fear the same food would come out ruiend. I could not eat mine as it was too soon after the starter. When i tryed to eat the food had gone cold. No check back was given. I ate less than half my food. When i told the waitress all she seemed to care about was that the food was ok. Then had to wait around 20 mins before we caught another waitress to get the bill. The bill was brought to us put on the table. No mention of how we would like to pay or even where to pay. We sat there a further 10mins when i had to get up and go to the bar. I then spoke to a manager who seemed sorry but did nothing to put it wright. £94 Paid and it will be the last in your pub off us. Sorry worked all my life in customer service and this is probley the worst customer service. shame as its such a nice place and the food is good.

Nice beer garden with plenty of tables

Came here for a bite to eat, the lunch menu is great value for money, the small fish and chips was really tasty and was a good portion size for the price. The service was quick and efficient, and all of the staff we interacted with were really helpful and friendly. Definitely will be coming back again as the beer garden is really nice for a day out if we ever manage to get some sun this summer!

A lovely post birthday lunch with family. Food was very good and a great portion size aswell.

Had booked room in February for Sat and Sunday in June. Was informed by hotel 3 days before we were due yo go it had been overbooked and our room was not available. They said we could have Sunday and Monday for same price but that was no good to us. Arrangements were made for Saturday and Sunday. Leave booked off and things booked. It has totally messed up our break and I find it hard to believe that it was not highlighted sooner so we could have found somewhere else. Everywhere is fully booked for Saturday. If you are booked in I would suggest you call and check with them. We had been sent confirmation letter back in February when booked but it meant nothing. They offered free bottle of wine.

Absolutely lovely. Firstly a big well done to the staff, it is a long time since I have been welcomed to an establishment so warmly. The girl behind the bar was simply lovely. Food was fab, so was the wine all served speedily and with a smile. Well done keep it up..

Marianne and I booked for a meal at the redecorated Queens at Horton on Friday 11 February 2022. Our table was in the lighter decorated middle room which feels much more welcoming since its make over. The food continues to be very good although the real ale is still not as good as I would like. Visited for the first time since lockdown on Saturday 10 October 2020 for a lunchtime meal . The Queen's has Covid secure features in place with gel handwash stations available as customers enter the Queen's. The staff are all wearing masks and tables are disinfected after customers leave. The food was very nice and not too filling with excellent ' not rushed' service. If you want a relaxing meal I think this could be the place to try. Still feel that the real ale quality could be improved.

Spacious, comfortable rooms with an affordable breakfast.

Met friends for lunch. Relaxed environment excellent food, we had the gammon, steak pie and smothered chicken burger. Everyone very happy with both meals, dessert and cost with drinks only £30 per head

The Mothers day roast today was absolutely fantastic, quality and portion size were tremendous. The service was brilliant too, the young ladies were very chatty, polite and efficient. Job well done guys we will defo be back

I recently dined at The Queens at Horton and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Firstly, the service was incredibly poor and slow. It seemed like the staff were more interested in chatting and playing on their phones than attending to customers.Furthermore, the bar area was uncomfortably cold, making it difficult to enjoy the ambiance. The bar staff seemed indifferent to this issue and showed little concern for the comfort of their patrons.As for the food, it was average at best. The quality did not match the prices charged, and the flavors were lackluster. Overall, I would not recommend dining at The Queens at Horton if you're looking for good service and quality food.

We had a family birthday celebration last night. For a party if 24 and there was another large celebration in tge conservatory at the same time. The service was excellent on time hot food that tasted good we couldn't ask for more. Ruby our front of house was excellent and ensured drinks and the meals arrived timely with zero errors . Highly recommended the Queens for any celebration good food and service so you enjoy your celebration. Well done Amey & Team

Very good atmosphere, great food! Three courses on Sunday for £22.25 amazing price and value for the food. We went for the garlic mushrooms, the queens royal Sunday lunch and the baileys cheesecake! Wow wow. Couldn't recommend this place enough. This is one of our locals and we have a pleasant time every visit. The waitress we had was called Ruby. A very lovely girl. Very chatty and helpful. I'm a manager in a restaurant and her customer service was on top! Thanks again Ruby.

Heard great things about it, my sister raves about it but myself and my wife weren't that impressed to be honest and for the prices of the food it wasn't amazing. It was nice don't get me wrong but not amazing. We had to pre order the day before, we asked what the soup of the day was, we were told tomato.. two of our group don't like tomato soup, myself being one of them. My daughter loves tomato soup.. so she had that and I had to order a different starter. When my daughter got her soup it was vegetable and she was gutted and the lovely bread she was looking forward to was a slice of loaf brown bread. And I could of actually had the soup. Doh.. We asked what's the soup of the day, the waitress had to ask.. we asked what's the cheesecake of the day, again she had to ask. These are things when paying so much they should know. And finally which wasn't stated on the menu I don't think, atleast I never saw it. On top of our bill was a 10% service charge..

I wouldn’t recommend!! The staff don’t care. Have attitude and the manager is even worse. He has no customer care skills and just basically takes your money and all he cares about. Rang and complained when left and no point as staff are useless and have no idea what’s happening! Avoid!!!!

On arrival staff very pleasant arrived early our table was ready so seated us promptly Ordered pate for starter which was delicious and plentiful could not finish it all Mains I had small plate of gammon which was also delicious My husband had steak which unfortunately wasn’t to his liking it was a little gristle but overall would definitely recommend and it’s dog friendly, will definitely return with our dog next time

Excellent throughout, very friendly service, good choice of courses. The main meals arrived promptly, well presented and plenty on the plates. Tasty and enjoyable, as were the desserts. Much recommended.

Stayed 2 nights as a 60th birthday pressie. Had seen the pub on 4 in a bed. Welcomed by friendly staff, lively evening with music until late. ..as advised in advert. Breakfast fab, again welcomed by very friendly Tina who was serving and also housekeeping lady.....immaculate. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast next day just as good as first. We will return. Thank you.

Lovely meal here. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was so lovely. Cheesecake was the best I’ve ever tasted. (( it was my Mums Birthday and they put a candle on the cheesecake and wrote Happy Birthday)) (( last minute )) so attentive, so many thanks for that. We went for a family birthday. The service was poor. Food portions were big my gammon was so salty I had to leave over half of it IThe fish didn’t look or taste like cod more like colley. I had to sit through my meal listening to 3 members of staff standing by the kitchen talking about their weekend instead of serving the customers in the restaurant.

Visited as a group of friends 10 in total. Arranged for leaving drinks. Lovely looking book and bar has a busy vibrant and cosy atmosphere. Decor is lovely. Bar staff really friendly and efficient. Drinks great value for money. Didn’t plan on eating but decided to go for light snacksx chicken gourgons were ordered and I had the Pitta chips with goats cheese dip which were delicious. Also had portion of chips which were great portion size and again great valve for money. Despite ordering food separately all served together grease hot and very tasty. Overall great pub with great service and would certainly visit again

We visited in December & ordered from the Christmas menu. Plenty of choice & something for everyone on there. The service was really good, the staff were friendly, efficient & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. All the food came out well presented & it was really tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food & we would definitely return.

A amazing venue, food was lovely and very reasonable prices. I loved sitting in the conservatory the ambiance in he is lovely. Local people as well as visitors alike come here.

This is a lovely place to pop to after a busy day shopping. Warm and welcoming and well priced. Modern with an oldy world feel. My only criticism is the lighting. It's way too low. People were using their phones to read the menu. Nothing a few floor lamps would not fix. Lots of parking space and a lovely outdoor covered area with heating.

Went for dinner with some friends. Good choice on the menu. We all found something we wanted to eat and all sent empty plates back to the kitchen. Nice atmosphere. Service was good, staff were very pleasant. Lovely evening all round.

Hired out a room for my sisters baby shower and couldn't fault it. The food was delicious catered for all, the staff couldn't do enough for you and the room was beautiful. Will definitely be using again if I have any events/ family meals planned. Thanks again!

We are currently staying here for 2 Nights for a little rest Geat rooms very clean and modern Breakfast amazing and so is the the evening dinner Staff so pleasant throughout so helpful I would definitely stay here again

Although we had visited before for food and drinks we had never stayed over. Our room was very tastefully decorated and spacious, bathroom had lovely big walk in shower and lovely soft bath sheets. We dined in the restaurant which was quite busy for a Monday evening, food was beautiful and staff were friendly and attentive. Would definately recommend a stay here

Visited with friends for a leisurely lunch midweek. Busy, but not too much so (friends had booked) good menu, extra specials menu, and prompt service. Wife & I had Fish pie and it was Delicious! Hot, largeish pie with green veg but it was lovely. Had to share a pud ( Cream brulee) but that was equally tasty. We will be back!

Been ayear since we have been here and it will be a lot longer till.we go again. The starters were barely warm and the butter milk chicken did not taste like what it claimed to be. On the main course the chips were totally inedible you coildnt pick them up they were so crispy they disintegrated when you tried to pick them up. We asked for the bill and then waited over 20 minutes before i had to go and find 3 staff around by the till and ask again for the bill. When the bill came we had five pounds off which was a gesture but considering we couldn't eat some of it and the aervice was poor it still felt like we paid for something we didn't get. Used to be a favourite of ours but now a place to avoid .

Lovely place to relax and enjoy good food. Pleasant and polite staff, an enjoyable experience, we have been here on several occasions and can't fault it.

We went out to celebrate my friend's 70th birthday and my 65th birthday. My friend had fish chips and mushy peas. I had lasagne. The fish and chips great. My lasagne was nothing like any lasagne I've ordered my friend has eaten before in our life's. It was mincemeat filled the pot. No layers, of the lasagne. Just a thick layer of cheese on the top. The mincemeat was very dry. The side salad was covered in a oilily dressing, which I couldn't eat. The young girl offered me to have the meal boxed so I could take it home. ( my face must of looked horrified) as she soon walked away from our table quickly. Everyone else's meals looked amazing, but no one I could see had the lasagne. Sad to say I won't be ordering lasagne there if I was to go again. The other meals on the menu, things I can eat was sold out. As I said all other meals looked amazing.

We went for a meal in the restaurant. Food was very good and the service from behind the bar and the waiters was top notch. The beer was just as good as the food too.
