we use GFD all the time rolls and sarnies are great always a good filling and never disappoint going back today to pick up the order for site

The staff do not wear gloves when preparing food! Seems ignorant considering the pandemic. Partner has had stomach issues twice from eating here. Coffee also is sold under the premise of being freshly ground but instant coffee granules used... Would not recommend.

Very disappointed that before Xmas I wanted to give this row of shops some local business as I live in Crowthorne village. 2 weeks later I get a nice present of a £100 fine for parking over 20 mins. Firstly the sign was covered by a van next to me, and there was no indication before entry to say the parking rules had changed. I've parked here for years. If you think things can be done in 20 mins then good luck, I won't be shopping here again. The payment goes to an independent company, not the council. You are shooting yourselves in the foot.

Made me the completely wrong sandwich even tho I gave them the correct sandwich name, so disappointed! It was grossssss

Staff need to listen to customers, we explained 3 times what we wanted and still she tried to make the order wrong. Only when I said I have an allergy to margarine that she wiped the cutting knife. Hygiene is clearly not high on the staffs list, never do they wash their hands. She clearly needs a pen and paper to take orders and learn some customer service.

Had a couple of lunchtime rolls, made to order with a fantastic range of fillings. Nice coffee and very efficient service. One of those cafe/delis that you really ought to support more. Also had a very tempting cake and that was also excellent.

I was persuaded by my grandchildren to take them to the Good Food for breakfast. We arrived to find this small Deli buzzing with all different types of hungry people from travelling to site workers all looking for a great start to their day. We sat at a table having ordered from an interesting menu and awaited the food to arrive. You pay extra to eat in. Only a small number of tables available. We were not disappointed as the plates arrived quickly and the food was delicious. Having found this Deli I am looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu ,at any time of day, and would recommend others to follow in my footsteps.

I was a regular lunch and work visitor years ago... 20 years ago when mike owned it. Moved out of the area and would go whenever there for lunch. The new owner and staff are always friendly and welcoming. I went a few weeks ago and I must say was nice to see the current owners still there and still friendly as last time I went 10 years ago. I have a day off tomorrow and considering taking myself for a treat x

There is something for (almost) everyone in this Deli. Made to measure or ready to go the genial staff will make up sandwiches, toasties etc to your order. Good coffee and tea as well. Eat in or take away. Ideal for when you come over all esurient like.

Today, 10th. Sept. Went to The Good Food Deli to have lunch. Food is excellent n plentiful . Very well presented. Delicious meal. Very clean environment. Staff very professional n pleasant. Very helpful. I had a roast pork, dumpling ect in a barp(bread)....very tasty. Fully recommended to all. Thank you to all the staff. Jaswant...Bracknell.

Been going for years and also use them to feed clients when we work through lunch at the office. Hand made in front of you with fresh ingredients

I’ve been coming here off and on for years when passing and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever got what I’ve ordered. The bloke behind the counter is too busy trying to entertain the customers with awful jokes to listen to your order. And at over £4 for a bacon and sausage sandwich I expect better than a frozen Walls sausage. Decent bacon though..

Used to eat in here but it’s gone down hill terrible what ever food that’s cooked or prepared is all done by barehands then they won’t wash them and then serve someone else not very hygienic in there

Great spot for a good cafe but to be fair this place a few years ago it was a lot better but I think owners have got a little lazy with hygiene and cleaning which makes cafe a little smelly . All of the food is made and put together with bare hands with out washing in between customers so bacteria off bacon , pork , cheese and chicken all get mix up which definitely shouldn’t happen also cafe is never clean always dusty and dirty with food debris on floor for days I never use this cafe anymore never will again.

I have read a few recent reviews which suggest this place is dirty. Well I can assure you this is not the case. They like all cafes are subject to Environmental Heath law. I hate these posts saying avoid. Who are these people? The food police? On what grounds should be listen to people probably had a bad day or were just grumpy. Perhaps the deli had a bad day, it happens. But telling us to avoid it just stupid. I am sure the owners read these reviews and I am equally sure that they will respond. My experience is that this is good basic deli, extremely handy for buying a sandwich and coffee before boarding a train.. Or perhaps to sit and read a newspaper whilst enjoying a fresh sandwich. Overall very pleasant. My tip, avoid reading the reviews that say avoid. Hardly constructive.

Ive eaten here lots of times, eat in & takeaway. Food is always good & they have a great selection of Including panini's, rolls, toasties, jackets, breakfasts, pastries, cakes etc. Takeaway rolls & sandwiches are always stuffed full of fillings, really good value! Staff are always warm & friendly too. I would highly recommend this cafe and will definitely visit again!

This used to be a reasonable cafe.But there appears to be new management here now who are slowly destroying the business .The whole place is now dirty. The quality of the food as well as the portion sizes have deteriorated considerably. The service now is absolutely dreadful. The manager is a surly miserable unhelpful and unfriendly chap. And the young girls who serve appear to be less than bright and very poorly trained.Our recommendation to anybody would be to give this place a wide birth. Unless of course you enjoy eating poor quality food, delivered with dreadful service, in a less than hygenic environment. A visit from the local health inspector is needed in this place now. Altogether ... AWFUL !!!

Great food, lovely staff with parking just outside. You can eat in - if there is room - or take out if in a rush. Handy for the train, to0.

La buena comida gourmet siempre me sorprende. No parece frim mucho fuera, pero usan buenos ingredientes para crear sándwiches muy sabroso, empanadas y desayunos.

The sandwiches here are fabulous. My only criticism is they put too much filling in them😩. That can't be a criticism surely. The toasted sarnies are fab as is the burger. Be prepared to wait as it's always very busy.

Great bacon sandwiches, good cup of tea, service is always very friendly, and its close to the station.

I take a couple of my customers and the dog here every week for breakfast or lunch. The food is great, the staff are really friendly and nice. I struggle to finish an egg and bacon baguette every time I have one. Well worth a visit.

I have heard this is a nice sandwich shop, so tried it today - coronation chicken bap £3.50.I'm not sure the chicken was chicken!! Tasted like some over processed cubes of something - which was disappointing.

We use this deli regularly as we have a shop in the same area. Delightful staff, excellent quality food and a wide range of food to please any palate.

We stop for a sandwich at various locations daily. But Roland and his team at the good food deli are definitely our favourite. The food is always lovely and fresh and you get amazing value for your money (massive portions) If your really lucky he will even sing to you whilst making it. A must visit food establishment

Went to this place in July for a sandwich after the GF said they did good sandwiches. My sandwich was a ham, beef and cheese baguette with chutney. Was delish! Whilst we were there we did see a fly on some of the prepared meat. We said to ourselves it was a hot day so these things happen. What did concern me was that there was no hygiene rating showing on the door. Never a good sign!After eating there i went home to find they only have a food hygiene rating of 1/5 stars which was done only a few months ago. Now although i enjoyed the sandwich i wouldn't go back there because of the food rating. I would just worry about how the food is prepped etc. i hope the council go back soon and find that the owner has sorted it out. Unless the rating increases i wouldn't return.

I bought a beef and horseradish sandwich to take away. I attempted to eat it but the beef was tough, gristly, with a weird plastic-like texture. There were 3 decent sized slices of beef, but I must have binned nearly 2 as it was disgusting to eat. The only good thing about the sandwich was the bread which was lovely and soft! A real disappointment. I have bought a beef sandwich from here before and it was lovely meat last time. I was furious that I had wasted £2.90 on such a bad lunch. As for giving them a chance to do something about it, I'm not wasting my petrol on going back there when I don't live in Crowthorne. Unfortunately, I won't be spending my money in there again.

I don't eat here every day, I admit. But it is handy for my work. Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about - I've always found the Deli (it's not really a deli in the old sense, but it is mainly a sandwich bar with a few tables). Whoever recommended it to christineCAT has good taste. My only complaint is that the queues around lunchtime are a bit long and I run out of time.The food is very good, if anything the servings are a bit big for me sometimes.Don't understand the bit about not complaining - if you don't like it, why not give the people serving a chance to put things right?Anyway, good from me.

For the first time, 30 November, I went to this cafe/deli for breakfast on recommendation, I am not hard to be pleased but it must resemble food. Our order was a cup of tea, decaf black coffee, bacon sani and a full English.The bread - not buttered!! The bacon - I can appreciate it crispy or even cremated but dry and tough remnants of what must of been cooked the day before is not bacon. it was so hard it scratched my throat!!The full English - the same excuse for bacon, baked beans that had clearly been over stirred and become mush, again felt like left overs, the black sausage again very dry and hard, the egg freshly cooked and clearly was the only thing that was.The tea looked like overused dishwaterThe decaf coffee was so bitter it could have been chicoryWe will never go again, and no we didn't complain because we were too shocked to believe that excuse for food would have been served up to swine let alone humans. We are voting with our feet and will not recommend or go again. We would also point out that whilst waiting for our 'food' we noticed that the place could do with a proper clean.Absolutely disgraceful for a food establishment, will consider reporting to our local authority for a health check.
