Food utterly disgusting curry like cement I only ordered curry and chips It made me wanna vomit never mind taste it urrhh

Lovely Chipshop with a few lovely staff, some not so nice. Do a lovely battered cod. Always has lovely chips.

We have been getting Friday fish and chips here for a couple of years and it used to be brilliant. When people would say "but it is so expensive there!" we would just say "yes but we really don't mind paying extra for quality". It has gone down and down in quality and after the last couple of months of awfully poor servings of food, we have decided to move on . After giving the Great Catch so many opportunities to return to what it used to be , unfortunately the last straw has been getting served up the rotten , mushy black chips (sickening to see) I am not talking like a few black eyes in the potatoes,and the fish that has been getting thinner and thinner with big clumps of hollow batter on each end! Would rather cook our own at home , where we know what we are eating , because goodness knows where they could be getting these awful , putrid potatoes from ! But what is almost worse is how the staff can have no qualms about serving this rubbish up to their customers!

Disappointed isn’t the word. I came to Litherland to visit family and we recognised the name from going to one in Manchester and had a pleasant experience. This time I ordered a cod, not my usual as I usually go for sausage and chips, and I might as well have just gone to the nearby pets at home and fried a goldfish. Good thing I’m on a diet and they made up for it for the large serving of chips. The main issue was the fish bites in my sons kiddy box, I was met with tears in the backseat when he took a bite and it was ice cold, the box looked more edible. Had to feed the rest of the fish bites to dog so at least his tea was sorted. Other than that customer service was friendly and quick.

Unfortunately this is terrible value for money. The cod was half the size one would expect and yet despite the small size it was also mostly batter. I came out with small batter and chips despite their advertising "no small cod" to add insult to injury. At c£10 for a cod and chips it's just not worth the money. Decent chips and curry though so maybe that's the reason to visit. Unfortunately people visit for the 'fish' and chips which is what lets it down. Maybe at a third of the price, it might make for better reviews.

Got cod chips curry x2 cod was so thin and small loads of chips to make it look better not very good considering the price of the fish i don't think i will be going back in a hurry we went there as a special treat for our anniversary

We have always had good fish from here went tonight not sure what time the fish I was given had been cooked but was not very nice I won’t be going back spent 20 pound on this meal

Dropped in to the Litherland branch for a fish and chips " treat". Two fish and a small portion of chips relieved me of £11.95 . What a disappointment! Two slivers of white fish were hidden in a mass of batter. Clearly batter is so much cheaper an ingredient than fish but this offering was a disgrace. "The Good Catch" should be ashamed of themselves, charging their customers for inferior products.

Disgraceful customer service. Staff member being smart because I had headphones in looking on my phone didn’t tell me my food was ready and I was standing right there at the counter and would have been left even longer. Didn’t appreciate her attitude when I realised either, obviously did it on purpose being nasty. You can’t forget who made an order for the time it takes to make fish & chips when I’ve been standing right at the counter and it wasn’t mega busy. I contacted them on Facebook and they pretended to be bothered but swerved me after that. Won’t be back and neither will my family so there’s 6 customers lost. There was no need for that staff member at all.

Good Catch Litherland is the best chippy in the area by far. The food is always fresh and tastes lovely.

5 Stars for both the fish and chips and the team that work here. I’m here regularly and the food it always great and the team really quick and very friendly. Best chippy around!

Where to start absolutely love this chippy foods always hot and fresh more than can be said for other local chip shops the staff are great they know my order before I make it through the door 🤣 you really do have to try it if you are local. 5***** the good catch litherland ❤️

Came to the good catch on Thursday lunch. I orderd fish and chips in a box and a fish cake It was delicious first time coming and I will 100 percent be back. Staff were a great laugh and super friendly. Thankyou

Went in for my dinner after work today and the staff welcomed me very well! The fish and chips were great crispy and very fresh! Been a few times now and definitely will be returning!

Get the salt and pepper chicken bites from here all the time! They are so lovely and the staff are always friendly and happy to help!

Painfully slow service, never seen people work so slow, no urgency to serve, but thought it would be worth waiting for. Parcels of food stacked up no one seemed know who’s was who’s…grub wasn’t that nice to be honest

After waiting for 1/2 hour and having to ask if my meals were ready, got home to awful fish and chips, the fish was very overcooked and dry wasn’t cheap either! Won’t be going back or recommending!

Been here a few times in the past but has really gone down the pan. Visited on Saturday night and the chips were warm ups from lunchtime and the fish basically fell apart and was soggy. Never again

This place just goes to show that thieves don't only live in Barcelona. I ordered (and paid for) fish & chips, two fishcakes and a bread roll. When I got back to work, no chips, no bread roll, just a fish and fishcakes between the four of us. Needless to say I won't be visiting this or any other Good Catch establishment again, and I'll be spreading the love. Thanks
