The food was awesome when it finally showed up. Overall a nice spot and potentially THE nicest chips I have ever eaten.

Went to the Golden Fleece tonight for a meal. Only burgers on the menu which were actually very tasty although we had to wait almost an hour for the food. The pub was very noisy with bad language all around, somebody changing a babies nappy on the seat with people eating food around them. People vaping in the pub and the poor lady behind the bar trying to serve on her own. She was literally running behind the bar. We will not be returning unfortunately.

The food was excellent! The service at the bar though 👎 The lady was so rude! Not only to me but to my children (adults) who approached the bar. No smile, ignores you and basically I felt it was 'locals only welcome' so probably won't return which is a shame as the food was great.

Absolutely epic burger. Do yourself a favour try it. You’ll be hooked.

A warm and welcoming village pub. The lounge area requires a special mention due to the amazing murals on the walls depicting scenes from the dales. The only downside of the pub is the parking, it's to the rear of the pub but take no notice of the sign pointing to the car park as you'll find that entrance blocked. Please remove that sign!

Enjoyed a family meal. A wonderful bundle of joy, Olivia, kept the kids entertained, made our group so comfortable. A honest happy lady. If my food and drink is served with bundles of joy and energy, then a 1st class meal was extra special. The kids eat their greens and don't whine for a McDonald's when they're looked after.

Really disappointed, visited for Sunday lunch, sat for half an hour and nobody asked us if we needed anything, the chef came and asked if we'd ordered, said no and still waited! Stuck it out for an hour and nothing happened so we walked out!

Great little pub with top food and great bar staff. Live footy is on in tap room as well. The rear beer garden is really nice as well, I just wish it was in wilsden so I didn't have to walk up the hill home.

Starters were fine, all had garlic mushrooms, which came with a warm ciabatta roll each. Roast beef, very well done, frozen Yorkshire puddings. Asked for extra gravy, it never came. Soggy roast potatoes. Vegetarian burger very nice, but in a stale bun. French fries soggy, obviously not had the oil hot enough. Reported, however, no offer of replacement, just an apology. On the plus side, hubby said the Saltaire Blonde was excellent. Staff trying to serve drinks, inside and out and take food orders.

Well to start off as I entered the pub I was greeted with the stench of stale urine, I decided to let this go as I was with some of my family who all agreed to give it a chance. I then proceeded to order a drink at the bar and was rudely ignored for a minute or two so they could have a little phone call with their buddies I presume. After finally ordering our pints they were flat and just did not taste right one bit. I then noticed that the pints were poured through a reusable faucet system. So imagine your pint is being pulled and any excess goes through a funnel back into the barrel. So imagine the bar tender has been playing with mud in the back garden and doesn't wash her hands, luckily for you it'll be run through your pint!!! DISGRACEFUL, I had to refuse my drink after witnessing this.

Lovely warm busy public house, good choice of vegetarian food, the tarte was very good. My husband had the fish and chips, he said it was very good. Will return next time we visit Haworth.

manager nick is a disgusting human, shouting at his employees and making them feel awful ! in front of the whole pub. nasty man, caused many people to leave and gave the place a very bad reputation! no wonder she walked out you horrible individual

A very nice pub with a really good selection of handpulled local beers . Also plenty to choose from where the bottled beers are concerned . A good buzz during the evening with plenty of people . It's a pity that the food is no longer available as it was apparently very good .

Phone before going here for a meal as restaurant days are very hit and miss. Lost count of number of times we've had a wasted trip. When we get to eat it it's OK.

Male toilet are discussing. Stinky. Looking like they don't get cleaned. Also seating a round bar are grubby and stained. Defoe needs a refund. Although they do HAVE some good wall paper behind the bar. Lol

I was looking for somewhere to watch today's England game and by chance popped into this pub. Served straight away by a very pleasant lady and ordered a Yorkshire pudding wrap. It arrived just as the match started and the food was great, the football even better. Then England scored and out came one of the friendly barmaids with a sambuca shot for all the customers. 10 mins later the same again, whenever England scored out came the shots and everyone in the pub that wanted got a free shot with every goal. With every goal the cheers got louder and at half time everyone was offered a free chilli. I loved this pub, and being from overseas was made very welcome by staff and locals. Thanks to all the girls and the landlord for an amazing time.

We recently visited here for my wife’s birthday on a friday night with the whole family, and the staff were incredible! As since you can drink for free on your birthday my wife was made to feel so at ease as they were so attentive, we didn’t have to even ask for another round of drinks before they asked us! The bar staff were very down to earth and jolly. Will definitely be returning!

Mothers day. Booking for 7.30. Cancelled 3pm Sunday..told kitchen was closed by then and bar maid made a mistake with the booking. Tried to ring at least 10 times leading up to this weekend. Had to call, told phones don't work! !!! Really, it's a business!!! Phone was answered a few times but put down so didn't have to speak! Pretty bad service.....,also barmaids too busy chatting to serve?! Not good Service at the moment.....

New chefs at the Golden Fleece on Tuesday night, food was excellent, definitely worth a visit. We'll be back.

We have eaten at the Inn in the past and have always had a great meal. Tonight there were 6 in the group, and we were the only ones there. It has been altered from our last visit in that a wall has been put up to divide the eating area from the bar presumably due to the volume of noise from people watching tv. This was affective and I feel a good idea. The meals took a long time to prepare but were simple in order. 3 sausage and mash, Sunday roast and two fish and chips. The gravy was very thin, the mash was watery and the sausage and mash came with varying amounts of potato. I had the lamb roast which was very average and again with very thin gravy. The fish did not have a great batter. I did Inform the staff and they asked if I wanted anything discounting but in fairness we were that hungry we ate everything. The food was edible but certainly not to the standards of before. I understand there has been a change of chef. maybe there needs to be another change as I feel they will be losing their good reputation.

Lovely refurbishment-cosy room. Steak good deal-amazing steak and chips. Then abandoned-no service!!!! No drinks. No pudding. No coffee. When we asked for pudding (after waiting forever for someone to come) the chef had gone home! Offered two choices that the kitchen staff could make!!! Disappointing.

We have been here before and sadly this visit was a little disappointing. A wall has been built and we felt a bit excluded not as oldy pub experience as we like, but modern times and all that.. Decor very bland in new dining area but we were told it's not finished as yet.

Excellent food - my friend said that it was the best BLT she had ever had. I had a generous portion of scampi and more chips than I could eat. Fast service. We shall go again.

Excellent meal but was thoroughly spoiled by the behaviour of a group of young men. We have just moved back to the area and we would have used this pub as our local. The swearing and shouting was unacceptable and at no time were they asked to moderate their behaviour by the 3 members of staff on duty. Not a good start.

Very helpful and friendly staff, never had a bad visit, super fab pub! Food is also great and strongly recommend the steak night which I had last week and was absolutely amazing!

Been here several times over the years for the excellent food, service etc but won't be going again.Had to endure listening to jeering football watchers whilst trying to have a Mother's Day meal.Meal was nice but could have done without the long wait and square chipped and cold plates !It felt like it was under different ownership but I might be wrong, didn't complain as I didn't want to in front of my elderly mum !

I live in Tenerife but visit home often. The Fleece is a brilliant pub with great beer and lovely barmaids. I recently had as good a pint of Tetley's (even though it is no longer brewed in Leeds) as you are going to get. Superbly pulled by Libby.Great place, great beer, proper English pub!!!

We arrived at 12, ordered and were served food at 20 past. Two of us had piping hot freshly cooked haddock and chips, the other two had rack of lamb and steak pie. All the food is made on site. The service was efficient and friendly. If we were passing we would go again. The only criticism would be of the mushy peas which had an unusual taste, an addition that we couldn't name. The steak pie was too salty to finish so the perfect rack of lamb was shared. Our two dogs enjoyed the lamb bones.

After hearing many good reviews the wife and i decided to give it a go, and oh my how we've missed out! Excellent variety of choices on the menu and would highly recommend the pies as they are superb! Lovely girls behind the bar. Lovely food. Lovely atmosphere. 100% will be returning!

Just had Christmas dinner here with 15 family priced at £55 per head would have been dear at £20 per head service poor booked for 1 o clock didn't leave while 3 20 Turkey was a turkey joint 2 roast potatoes carrots sprouts parsnips Xmas pud was about 2 mouthfuls not impressed at all

Went here for lunch only a small dining area. We ordered at 12.30 but it took an hour before we got our first course and another 30 minutes for the mains. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Toilets not very clean. If you want quick service then this is not the place to go.

Called in last night for our tea having heard and read good reviews and can honestly say it's the best meal I've had in a long time!I ordered minted rack of lamb and it was delicious, the wife and daughters food looked great aswell. Nice pub that accepts dogs and is very friendly. We went for an early tea with a child and it was very busy. Food was lovely, portion sizes are large, we all agreed we didn't need a starter. Food tasted fresh. Service ok, a little slow but it was busy. Would recommend booking to ensure you can get in.

My girlfriend and I had a meal here with her family. We pick our restaurants based on trip advisor, and this place seemed to have good reviews. Unfortunately the meals took 60mins to arrive (it wasn't busy), one of the meals was incorrect so one of our party had to wait a further 20mins for her meal. The biggest issue of the night was that having vegetarians in the group that there was a vegetarian pie ordered (as per their specials board). The pie turned up with chorizo in, this was passed off as a simple mistake. I don't think the staff understood the seriousness of the error.As it is we shall not be going back.

I came here for lunch before a nice walk at the St.Ives Estate. I ordered hake with vegetables. The food was brought over within about 15 minutes. The hake was really delicious and the veg went well with it. The waiting times were short too. I liked the atmosphere and would definitely bring family and friends here!

I visit this pub frequently with my daughter and/or a friend. We eat there for Sunday lunch and the steak and wine evening, which is Thursday evenings.There is a new menu to consider, quite extensive.The food is delicious and presented well.The pub is clean, tidy and welcoming and the staff are welcoming and efficient.Well worth a visit!

Went for a Saturday lunch with my girlfriend and her parents. We were made very welcome, and all had a lovely meal with not a single complaint (apart from my gf who couldn't manage all of hers as it was such a generous portion!). With TVs at either end we could all watch the football without craning necks or turning around. Great menu for a pub and some fascinating sports memorabilia to look at too. Lovely meal and will definitely return.

Had a lovely meal at the golden fleece last night. Food was amazing as always. The new menu has so much choice. We had the meatballs with tagliatelle and bbq ribs with sweet potato fries

we and the dog received a warm welcome. beer was good and the food freshly cooked. A childs portion of fish and chips was plenty and no problem for them, the cheese burger was good but too large for us, a doggy bag came in useful. parking was through a narrow passage with plenty of space. booking for large groups I'd recommend and Sunday lunch.

We had steak and ale pie - both agreed it was far too heavy on the crust, slightly over done and tasteless. Watery gravy didn't help matters. Imagine a large traditional cornish pasty BUT round and flat - this is basically how the pie was presented. Large portion but it was definately quantity over quality. Chips were delicious and plentiful.Belly pork was nice. Beautifully presented. Waitresses pleasant, helpful and efficient. Lovely cosy pub but for 2 of us the meal let it down.

We asked the guy in the new Antiques Centre in Cullingworth about somewhere where we could get a good meal (Good Friday, early afternoon) and he recommended the Fleece. Pub ambience, excellent friendly service and a very enjoyable meal - a cut above usual "Pub grub" at very reasonable prices. Will certainly go back if we're ever in the area.

What have we been missing?!Had a selection of starters which were really nice and am encouraged to come again for a proper meal sometime. The service was very good, staff pleasant, and draught beers were kept very well.The menu had a good selection of mid priced, to slightly more expensive meals and desserts. Very affordable and seemed to be a little continental in choice, while still offering a "pie" or "burger" option.I had a pork pate and fried calamare. This was the nicest calamare I have had outside Greece and Spain. Really fresh, not chewy, light crunchy batter. Lovely. Chunky chips and a good selection of sauces. My friends had pork belly bites, which we all tried... Yummy. And I had the salted caramel roulade..... Tasty Full marks, we will eat here again.

Following a search on TripAdvisor, found this place to have very good reviews - and rightly so !Found bar and serving staff very welcoming, and the pub / dining area to be nice and cosy.ordered burger and trimmings for myself, absolutely superb, my wife had specialist dietary needs so we requested the chef made a half chicken with veg without any oil,It was no problem at all for the staff who were happy to accommodate.Special thanks to the Greek waiter ( from Doncaster ! )Highly recommended.

The food was fabulous, really tasty and well worth the money. All the staff are pleasant and welcoming and were up for a laugh with us. I would definitely come again.

Have eaten here before and always found the food good and the service courteous . However on our last visit we waited 45 mins before our order was taken and over an hour for food (starter)in spite of there only being 3 other tables with diners. The main courses when they eventually arrived were wrong!! We couldn't wait any longer so accepted the food that was brought. The manager was less than helpful... Needless to say we won't be returning in a hurry or recommending The Golden Fleece to friends

We started with a delightful pint of Tetley`s hand pulled beer before booking a table for 6. This was steak night which includes a steak of your choice and a bottle of wine £28 for two, I had sirloin which i have to say was cooked perfectly.

We took friends to the Golden Fleece and they absolutely adored it. The staff was so welcoming and the atmosphere was inviting. It can get very busy so bookings would be recommended.

The Golden Fleece is not a gastro pub, or at least does not come across as one. Rather it is a more traditional pub set in a nice location. The chef or cook knows their onions as the quality of the food is very good. My only small moan would be that there are only two veggie main meal options on the menu which is a bit limiting for vegetarians like me. I had the Veggie Chickpea Burger which was unusual, bit uncertain about the brioche bun though it seemed to work. My girlfriend had the salmon which she really enjoyed. Overall very good and would go again, especially if there were more veggie options.

We were staying locally, so visited The Golden Fleece a number of times, sometimes just for a drink, but a couple of times for food too. On all occasions the service was outstanding - the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. When we ate there, we discovered the food was great too. Its classic "pub grub", but I don't say that to put it down. It great. Highly recommend a visit.

We decided this year that there would be no washing up and the obvious choice to us was the Golden Fleece.My partner and I and our 5 year old daughter were welcomed by Thanos, Callum and staff with welcoming smiles as usual and immediately felt at home with the open fire burning and Christmas songs playing.After a couple of welcoming drinks we were seated promptly at the time of our booking ( I've heard nightmare stories about delays at other establishments not being able to cope).Amuse Bouche followed by wonderful starters of confit duck leg with beetroot and jus and belly pork with apple mash and sticky chilli red cabbage, put us in a great mood and we couldn't wait for the main event. Turkey with all the trimmings (and I mean all!) and locally sourced fillet steak that is to die for nearly finished us off (doggy bag for some turkey so I didn't even miss out on the obligatory cold sandwich later) but we still had a little room a bit later for New York cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding.Well done to the two chefs which did themselves proud.All in all we couldn't fault the drinks, the food, the atmosphere and most of all the hard work that everyone put in.Well done team Golden Fleece and we'll be seeing you soon!Tony,Louise and Megan

You will find interesting local characters added to good well kept beer and delicious food. The staff are not only friendly but smartly attired and good at what they do - I get the idea that experienced manager Thanos has stamped his mark of excellence throughout.
