Sadly this pub has become very expensive £14.40 for 2 glasses of wine only to find out they sell the same wine £15.00 a bottle that's a rip off .small food portions expensive

Gammon and egg……..this tasted like it had been kept under a heat lamp for hours…….bone dry yolk…….dry, tasteless peas…….disappointing to say the least……I won’t be back

Came here with the children and it was lovely. The staff were welcoming and great with the kids! We will be coming again, they also have entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays

Went for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Lovely elevated decked terrace, a real sun trap but had seating for all requirements ie sofas and low tables. Tables with chairs and benches plus tables with parasols. Friendly attentive staff and service with a smile. Food arrived quickly and was delicious, generous portion sizes and arrived hot! Good value too. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back 😁

We went for the beer and a burger offer, £10, what a bargain! A pint of Madri and the burger of the month, I had the Italian chicken, it was delicious. There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed it. Great value, friendly staff and tasty food 👍

Had a lovely afternoon at the Angel we had a share plate which was delicious we live very close and visit often for a couple of drinks but today the lunch was really delicious, great friendly staff always an excellent time and the pub itself is top notch can’t fault a thing ! Well done all staff !

Me and my family visited for the festive Fayre and it was absolutely perfect! The staff were highly attentive and provided fantastic service! Drinks were brought to our table and plates were cleared off the table promptly. The food was delicious and the portions were definitely well worth the money! Our table was set up with centrepieces, Christmas crackers, Santa hats and all our cutlery, would highly recommend the festive fayre!! Friendly staff and very helpful! Would highly recommend The Angel

What a great pub on the roundabout! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, lots of screens showing a variety of sport. Plenty of outdoor seating as well as parking. Decent food as well (especially the Katsu chicken curry) I’ll be back!

Good Pub. I go in there with my dad quite often, it's especially good when the footballs on.

We held a family gathering for my sons 18th birthday ,the staff couldn't of been more accommodating. They decorated the area with balloons and banners and really made sure we were looked after with our drinks and food that we ordered. Thank you so much to the fantastic manager and team .

Great place for lunch. Went with friends and booked a table. The staff were spot on and remembered all our different requests and the food was great.

I like this pub however I haven't visited in a while due to the menu changes. I'm vegetarian I don't eat meat because I don't like the taste and texture of meat. Unfortunately too many dishes are Vegan. This means they are made from proteins to imitate meat. Until veganism recently became popular it wasn't a problem for me to find dishes I liked in pubs and restaurants. This is a problem for me across all Greene king pubs. You used to sell battered halloumi and chips but changed it to fishless fingers. Instead of a falafel or bean burger you sell 2 types of beyond meat burgers.

Used to be better value for money but have seen many price increases recently with a very limited menu

Probably the most prominent pub in Baildon right on the roundabout. I've been in many times over the years at various times. This last time I had lunch with a couple of friends. The food was good with no reason to find fault with any of it. The bar staff here are always freindly so we will definately sample some more from the menu. Green King offer Armed forces serving members and veterans 20% discount on food which is good. Some of the beer is a little pricey which is the only downside. There's always live sport on so can get very busy when a big game is on. But on the whole it's a good venue with plenty of outdoor seating if the weather is nice.

Haven’t been to the Angel for a long time, it’s a lot brighter and lighter than I remembered, nice decor. My sister and I had supper last night. I had a very good steak and ale pie, nice crusty pastry and a very good filling, but rather large!

Me and my partner came for some food and drinks yesterday, I have to say the staff were really friendly nothing was too much trouble… the Food was of a high standard and the right temperature we opted for the two meals for £14.49 surprisingly the portions were generous. We will absolutely be returning in the future. Lovely evening. Thankyou

*New review* from 5/7/23 Well , pretty dreadful food. Having read through the reviews left by other people I am slightly confused as to whether I was unlucky tonight or if my standards are higher. The Angel IS a nice little pub but WAY too expensive. A pound more for cider than down the road. Fish and chips at £14? Very ambitious for a local pub. So 2 of their pies are award winning. We looked up the awards afterwards and suggest you do the same. Not all is at it seems! Not sure how they got any sort of award. Rock hard pastry, around 1/6 of the pie had filling, Grisly meat. Total waste of money. My companion sent his steak back. That's for his review. In short the food does not match the price at all. This is the 3rd bad meal I've had here so all done for me at the Angel after 24 years of patronage. I'll be off to the Station or over the road. *********************************************** *Old review from 5 years ago below* Well. The Angel has been renovated and not in a good way. The interior and exterior looks lovely, sort of shabby chic as can be seen in the photos. The food is AWFUL! FIrst I ordered sausages and mash. The mash was a single concealed lump of white stuck to my plate surrounded by bullet-like peas, and had 3 thin gristly sausages on. I managed three bites before sending it back. They replaced it with Hunter's chicken. This was microwaved, chewy, tough and dry chicken topped with cold stringy bacon and flavourless greasy cheese. Nothing like their description and nothing like it should actually be like. Accompanied by ' gourmet' chips. What does that mean? They were not chips they were fries, and they were chewy and cold. The coleslaw was made out of who knows what and it took a pint of lemonade to get rid of the after-taste. I gave up and asked for a refund. My friend had a steak and he complained mightily throughout and then was poorly the next day with an.upset stomach. Could just be a coincidence of course Truly was one of the WORST MEALS I have ever had in every way, and I felt sorry for the poor bar staff who were absolutely lovely. I've been coming here for 20 years so I'll come here to have a drink. But to eat? Hmm. Not sure.

We eat here regularly and always find it to be tasty and great value for money. I an recommend the Katsu Chicken.

Excellent pub, the food is much more than pub food, it is cooked to perfection and the portions are more than generous. The Nacho sharer plate is unbelievably flavoursome.

Consistently great and now sells Corona cero which is the best tasting non-alcoholic beer!

I was here at the Angel bank holiday Sunday tea time when the football was on it was absolutely heaving then trouble broke out fighting tables everywhere bottles and glasses being smashed my own hand cut by breaking glass,wouldn't recommend it one football's on get to overcrowded

Your typical pub, good selection of pints and spirits and not badly priced. Food is good but nothing special. Staff are friendly, overall a great place to have a few drinks with your mates but probably wouldn’t go here for food.

Some good beers on tap, particularly enjoyed the Saltaire blonde. Very vibrant atmosphere, busy and bustling, friendly staff. Good beer food, very prompt service and quite tasty. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Fairly typical Greene King pub. Geared for sport-watching so lots of TVs. Pleasant light interior with comfortable seating, 3 cask beers & 3 alcohol-free beers.
