I will never bye from here again the chips was full of grease, the batter on the food was way to thick and help lots of oil and had no flavour at all to the food I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog ! Terrible food don’t waste your money people

My mum and dad had a holiday home in Hayling we always used this Chinese. Those days are long gone. I've moved to Hayling Island now years later. I'm happy to say, it's still the best!!!

I am staying at Mill Rythe Away Resorts park and really wanted a Chinese, I called but was told they don't do delivery but I am so glad I did the four minutes drive! The food was amazing! The portions were so generous and packed with meat not the usual pitiful amounts elsewhere, I wish this was my own takeaway! Even the free prawn crackers were amazing! Two big bags supplied for free! The BBQ pork ribs were heavenly, the chicken chow mein was divine. I cannot wax lyrical enough about this place and when I next visit Mill Rythe I will definitely be coming here. I am salivating as I type!

We are on holiday and needed a takeaway meal... Chinese was chosen and the Golden Dragon selected based on on-line reviews. Food was hot, tasty, well cooked, and reasonably priced.

Nice take away, MSG free and really friendly staff. Price is ok, quality and quantity is high. Would recommend

Think they forgot the filling in my spring roll and chips tasted like they was cooked hours earlier and heated back up

Stopped in here whilst staying a few days on Hayling Island and tried some of our favourite dishes (lemon chicken and a chicken foo yung) plus a mixed entrée box, rice, chips etc. Prawn crackers came free due to the value of our order. Service was excellent, food was great as was the value for money. Will definitely be trying a few more dishes next time we are visiting the island. Highly recommended.

Don't do delivery so had to use another Chinese

Excellent Takeaway. Went there on spec. Ordered in shop and our order was ready in under 10 minutes. Excellent prices. Large portions. Unlike many Chinese takeaways you can see exactly what vegetables etc make up your meal. The sweet and Sour chicken balls were large and well cooked. The egg fried rice was brilliant. The beef with green pepper in black bean sauce very tasty and again large portion. Lovely large king prawn with mushrooms dish too. Excellent prawn crackers, not at all greasy. ENJOY!

Nice food, ( I collect my food rather than risk vagaries of delivery). Typical Chinese menu, fautly well priced. Cash or card payment accepted. Covid precautions in place.

Just tried golden dragon again, loads of food, couldn't finish, big prawns and excellent flavour. Definitely will be using from now on

First time here and I was impressed. We had crispy aromatic duck. Served in individual 1/4 portions . Served with plenty of cucumber and red onion slices instead of spring onion but it still worked.

I was very impressed. The lady who served us was very friendly. We asked for a preference between two items and she gave us a little surprise freebie. The food was ready very quickly and tasted amazing! It was clearly very good quality. I would definitely go back again.

After travelling specifically to Hayling to assatain said Chinese I must say i was horrified to find.. it was shut: open hours claim it was open, internet also backed this. Apon arrival I began crying through pure starvation. I am most disappointed as I will no have to sit outside until tomorrow.

Ordered online from the confines of our holiday caravan and a mobile phone. Turned up a little while later, waited a little and ready for collection. Food was delightful and between two families we covered a huge selection on the menu and all of it was great tasting and nothing extravigant

Awful just well cooked but ingredients tasted off even the can of cola I ordered tasted like garlic

We decided to have a Chinese takeaway as the final treat of our holiday. The prawn toasts were edible, the sweet and sour chicken in batter was awful. The batter was greasy and the chicken was tough. The chicken pieces in the lemon sauce were like bullets, although the sauce was pleasant, and the dish was nicely presented with lemon slices. Sadly even the dog had some difficulty chewing the chicken. The chow mien tasted burnt. Very disappointing.

We ordered delivery on saturday night. Delivery was fast a d food was hot. The curry was lovely and so was the chicmen satay skewers but the satay sauce was very greasy and the rice was not nice it was very startchy could have done with a rinse before serving the rice. Due to the nice the meal was a bit ruined but the curry sauce and sweet and spur sauce was yummy x

Wish I had ordered from elsewhere! Ordered a selection of dishes and in fairness in the chicken satay was nice. However the prawn crackers were stale. Sweet and sour chicken was burnt and swimming in grease, the photo does not do justice, as were the chips. We called to ask for an alternate portion to be delivered but these were just as bad. Chinese chips are usually nice but not these, I would recommend that another takeaway is used. Price wise was good but the saying is true that you get what you pay for.

We had take away from here and it was the most awful food Any if us have ever eaten. There was no distinguishing difference between the beef in oyster and prawns in black bean sauce, noodles I can only disctibe as in used dish water! Chicken was flavourless and boiled, bbq ribs were deep fried with some sort of gravy based bbq sauce in a container. Never again complete waste of money!

the food is great, especially the chinese curry. The best on the Island. The prices are reasonable too

Food is never very hot which makes me wary. Very pleasant staff but don't like the fact they will never fully open the kitchen door. Like to be able to see who is cooking my food . This was the best chinese on the island years ago

I've tried all of the Chinese takeaways and the restaurant on the Island over the years and have noticed changes in ownership and quality. However, the takeaway that is probably the oldest established, although having changed ownership at least once, is the Golden Dragon on Elm Grove. This is currently my favourite, based on consistent quality, quick service and value for money. My benchmark dish is Kung Po King Prawn, which in this instance has lightly battered prawns and plenty of cashew nuts, as I prefer. They offer all the standard dishes.
