Excellent food. Best Chinese I've eaten in Portsmouth, Fareham, Portchester & Emsworth. They are busy, so waits can be longer - that's a good sign. Go and collect it if you can't wait :)

Lights on, people cooking and people being served but walked in and told they were closed and to leave - very rude and will never go back there again!

Best chinese takeaway in Emsworth. Sometimes takes a while to get through on the phone but i believe they now have 2 lines. delivery is usually about an hour but it is definitely worth the wait! Their Chilli and garlic chips are to die for!

Best Chinese around the chicken is always good very large amounts so get your moneys worth parking can be abit of pain am as well known wait times very but totally recommend.

2.5 hours wait. Was told up to 2 hours but nothing arrived. Chased and told it’s with the driver. We always used the mandarin as food was good but tbh I fell 2.5 hours is not acceptable. Won’t use again. Fine if you order at 3 pm for dinner around 7.30. Otherwise don’t bother.

What used to be the best Chinese in Emsworth where you accepted paying more and waiting longer has completely flip flopped! It’s now average expensive and extremely time consuming! Classic case of eatery assuming and no longer tasting their own food. The takeaway a few doors down is now 75% of the price and 75% better food!

Terrible delivery 2.1/2 hours and no discount

Lovely little Chinese!! Traditional English style Chinese food, very flavourful and very nice. The staff are super friendly and the prices are pretty good. I really like the prawn toast and the chicken wings from here too! Anything salt and pepper is very nice. Very good portion sizes for the price too. If you want delivery you can give them a call.

Terrible service and terrible food. Ordered just one dish to share. Girl seemed to mix the order up when I ordered it, so I read the menu number back to her, to double check. She still brought the wrong one out. Didnt have time to wait for them to redo it, so just took the chow mein theyd given us home. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The pork was filled with disgusting cheap gristle, so both of us ended up spitting some mouthfuls back out. The whole noodle dish was massively over-salted and floating in a pool of soy sauce. The actual worst chinese takeaway we've ever had.

Really enjoyed our Chinese meal from the Mandarin takeaway tonight. Wish it was a restaurant so we could go in and sit down. Perhaps they will open one in Emsworth.

I drive 15 mins just to come to this Chinese. Hands down best Chinese iv ever eaten I refuse to go anywhere else. Never had an issue.

A very popular takeaway which we have had to resort to with the closure of Beijing Palace in Nutbourne. We were quoted an hour and a half for delivery and it took nearly 3 hours. DEFINITELY not worth that kind of wait - the food is ok but sadly won't be using again

Ordered at 6:30 was told 8pm deliv - no sign called was told 8:45 - no show called and then told 9:30 - had a family round for NYE - total let down

We’ve never had an issue with this Chinese and it is hands down the best in emsworth. However, the delivery driver didn’t know where he was going. Told us where he was - the next street. 20 minutes later standing in the street at the end of the road with my son and still no sign. Called him again and he was still on the same street 10 mins prior not knowing our address. Thankfully the food was still hot but sweaty. And the chicken balls seemed re-heated. Curry was on point though. I do think it’s cheeky charging £2 for delivery on an order over £25 and then the delivery driver doesn’t know where he is going and didn’t even get an apology.

15 year customer over 3 addresses. I've had wrong items, items included when I asked for then removed etc never complained mistakes happen. Tonight chips were so bad(hard, dry no potato inside, like eating walkers crisps) I let the food go from hot to warm as I went to the chippy to replace them. Phoned up and told nothing can be done no offer of even pathetic prawn crackers free next time as a minimum. Let alone chips replaced or something. Screw this place.

I've travelled to Emsworth for training from the Isle of wight, and decided to try Mandarin! I never thought I'd find another Chinese as good as my favourite on the island! The prices are good and the portion size fantastic! I had sweet & sour chicken balls and egg fried rice, the sauce is perfect 👌🏻 and everything cooked to perfection! Don't ever change what you're doing Mandarin! 👏🏼

Service was brilliant,it does get a bit busy so you may need to wait,but definitely worth it!some of the best Chinese food I've tasted in a long time!Will be back in the future

Called about 20 times and the line was busy (this was on a Wednesday evening) then it finally started ringing and was ringing for about 5 minutes until it rung off. I gave up eventually and ordered somewhere else. Can't imagine I'll be ordering here again.

Had a few takeaways from here recently and very happy. Have tried most places in the area and this is our favourite. Friendly service and tasty food. You can see through to the kitchen which is always a good sign. Looking forward to our next one.

Not a bad takeaway. Although the duck was dry and the chicken chop suey had far too much white pepper. Otherwise a good meal.

Service with a smile - even when I got confused and tried to underpay the delivery lady. My apologies, again! Salt and pepper ribs, in particular, were as good as any I've had and better than most. An excellent birthday take-away. Recommended.

Great place and staff, food is always good, I think it's a must for pick up as it gets so busy. Salt ans pepper chips are banging!!! Top place and thank you for re opening, couldnt take much more of the wife's cooking, you saved her life or our marriage but either way I'm happy again and not suffering from bad cooking and moaning.

not a massive fan of chinese food but walked past this one and was impressed to see a guy cleaning the open plan kitchen looked spotless After a day out walking decided to order a delivery and stay in with a bottle Got to say great decision we had a set meal for three ( plus breakfast) the delivery was prompt loads of freshly cooked food really tasty and not greasy highly recommend decided to repeat for our next night

To be honest, this is my usual choice for chinese takeaway after giving up on the miserable woman at New China. The food is usually good quality and tasty although the sauces tend to be insipid and run straight off the food and the delivery often takes longer than suggested with newer staff being quite rude at the door? Despite that, out of the Emsworth chinese takeaways this is the one I'd rather go to for the money and general quality of the actual food.

Only tried this Chinese as our usual one on main road was closed. 😔 Crispy duck was nice, but really disappointed with the chicken in the chow mein, it was extremely processed and rubbery, like the chicken in those fridge raiders chicken pieces. More expensive than our usual, they don't do pork balls only chicken balls. Will only go to my usual place which is far better, by price and food quality and taste.

We have just moved to Emsworth and we were recommended the Mandarin by friends. The food was really good, fresh and hot when we collected. We did want to order again last week but the phone was constantly engaged.

We usually order for collection to avoid waiting for delivery as the wait is usually quite long. But the food is usually good, nothing amazing but good.

Terrible service. Used this take away for years. Today they delivered our order to another property and wouldn’t honour the order, driver even claimed we took the order (insinuating we are liars and theifs).

Really good choice of dishes and always reliable tasty and well cooked food. Noodles etc wok hot! We can recommend their Cantonese sweet and sour king prawns and delicious chilli chips as well.

I thought for an order over £25 you would get free prawn crackers but nope, they wanted over £2 for them. The crispy chilli beef really nice but had a hint of a burnt taste, The chips with chilli and garlic are amazing. The Hong Kong style chicken was nice but had a horrible charcoal (burnt) taste afterwards and you could smell it aswell, as if the bottom of the pan had burnt food in it. Willing to give them another go, maybe they had an off day.

Best Chinese in the Town, always great, tasty, hot delivered on time, even add extra chilli in sweet sour sauce or other stuff. Sublime. 4years never had an issue.

Ordered a takeaway at 5:30 they said it will be around an hour, phoned them at 6:30 to see how long and was told just waiting for a driver? So at 7:10 my meal arrived cold so I phoned and asked for it to be changed for a hot meal spoke to manager who shouted down the phone that I was unacceptable making a complaint of this type! And I ruined her day and when I said I will get a refund and use a decent chinese she said no refunds! So I said to her employee I will come down and show her how I’m un happy I am and was on hold whilst I could hear what the manager and chef was saying and it wasn’t very pleasant! Eventually got a refund but excellent customer service guys

Have ordered from Mandarin many times and we've never had an issue with the food or the service. All dishes have been cooked well with a good selection on the menu.

Just moved to this area and this was our first choice for a takeaway: free delivery. Excellent menu and very nicely prepared. Reasonably priced and the food arrived very hot. We will be back.

Lush food will use again and again

When I normally have it delivered it's hot but this time it was bit cold I rang up to complain and a Chinese woman was not having none it.She even said our food is hot when leave our place but I said this time round was cold plus I said you should have delivery bags instead of just bags but we do have delivery bags some reason I dont believe you😡😡😡

They are reliable and speedy. Never had a bad meal from them over the past 10 years. The only draw back for us is finding a parking spot to collect the food.
