Typical Wetherspoons. Decent for what you pay for, people are nice but just attracts some of the wrong crowd. Can’t complain too much.

I visited The Golden Bee in Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday some friends. We were paying separately, so we stood at different parts of the bar to wait for service. After 15 minutes of being completely overlooked by the staff, I began to ask the people around me how long they had been waiting—they confirmed they had been waiting even longer, at least an additional 10 minutes. At this point, I took notice of the situation and observed that most of the bar staff appeared to be focused solely on a screen, preparing drinks without acknowledging the real customers standing at the bar. The one staff member serving customers at the far end seemed disorganized and unaware of who was next in line, serving people at random. When I finally caught the attention of one of the staff members, I politely asked why the focus seemed to be on the screen rather than on the customers waiting at the bar. Instead of a professional or helpful response, such as an apology or even reassurance that I would be served soon, I was told abruptly, “You need to leave right now.” This response was not only uncalled for but also incredibly poor customer service. I was not rude or confrontational; I simply questioned why customers were being overlooked. I would have happily directed the staff to serve the person next to me, who had been waiting far longer than I had. To highlight the situation further, the staff member in question—who had distinct half-pink and half-green hair and facial piercings—clearly lacked professionalism in their interaction. I understand that businesses are incorporating technology to streamline operations, but ignoring customers standing right in front of you is unacceptable. I felt compelled to share my experience because no customer should be treated in such a dismissive and disrespectful manner. Staff training in customer service and queue management appears to be urgently needed. While I will not be returning after this experience, I hope my feedback prompts improvements for the sake of other customers in the future.

While visiting Stratford we wanted a quick bite to eat, this being a Wetherspoons fitted the bill. The pub was fairly large & goes back a long way. You find a table then order at the bar & we had panini with a bowl of chips to share the food was delivered after a few minutes & was very good & hot.

Have visited this pub 3 times recently. Each time the service has been friendly despite staff being very busy. My personal preference is not to use a app but simply go up to the bar. Much easier in the long run! Food is standard Wetherspoons but each meal has been perfectly acceptable. Today had 2 lunches, 2 alcoholic drinks and 4 coffees...£15 each.

He sido cliente de The Golden Bee desde que abrió y cliente del dentista antes de que se convirtiera en un pub. En una noche en Stratford decidimos ir a The Golden Bee a tomar un par de copas, después de comprar la segunda copa y tocar la máquina de cartas, fui a recoger las dos copas del bar, pero me encontré con un pesebre de aspecto muy ruidoso y enojado que gritaba que no se puede beber en el bar, ¡aléjese AHORA! Cuando le expliqué que solo estaba recogiendo mis bebidas, ella una vez más en una mansión muy elevada y agresiva me dijo que me alejara del bar o haré que lo retiren del local, el bar es un bar largo y literalmente tenía otro cliente atendido a 4 - 5 metros de mí. Tan pronto como le dije de nuevo que me iba a mudar llamó al portero para expulsarme. Le expliqué al supervisor de la puerta lo que acaba de pasar y él estaba más que feliz de que termináramos nuestras bebidas con una mirada en su cara de ¿por qué el gerente hace esto? Una verdadera lástima que Tim Martin dirija un modelo de negocio muy exitoso y probablemente no sea consciente de que algunos de sus empleados se comportan en esta mansión poco profesional y poco amigable.

Visitamos este bar para almorzar y beber. Elegimos tomar hamburguesas y una bebida, Bueno, lo que salió fue una decepción. Salió la hamburguesa de mi esposa. Lo siento, debería haber sido una hamburguesa, pero está tan quemado que casi parecía carbón y estaba tibio, cuando lo desmonté estaba tan seco, así que lo tomé de vuelta y me quejé de ello. Tengo un reemplazo. Creo que estaba sorprendido de que alguien se hubiera quejado de la comida. La peor comida de la historia en Weatherspoons, no sirve de nada quejarse no tome nota. I always pop in to The Golden Bee when visiting Stratford. Well served drinks at a fair price. I just wished they had more of an observant glass collector though! Empty glasses left on tables for over half an hour!

Popped in for a quick lunch, staff were lovely, food and drink reasonably priced and really good quality, would highly recommend

This pub has good reviews apparently; we must have caught it on bad day. We were on a day trip .We are fans of W/Spoons generally; this one not so. Noisy, overcrowded; ok, in a touristy trap location and on a Saturday, but - uncollected plates and glasses piled high on adjacent tables. Food ordered- small portions ( luckily we were not over-hungry !) . Scampi 4 pieces with a few chips and peas. Cod just about bigger than a fish finger, few chips, peas. Poor value and indifferent quality. Drinks were included as per norm but price inflated pro rata with other W/S. Overpriced and just not good enough.

Went in on a sat afternoon and had to wait over 25 minutes to be served, then got charged more for the drinks than the Evesham branch. Coffee machines wee lit up like Xmas trees waiting to be refilled but staff just kept walking past and ignoring it This is 3rd time been in and everytime service is very slow.

We had A few drinks and meals here they were ok. Our only gripe was the place is too cold, surely the thermostat could be turned up a few degrees. Will probably return.

Called in here for a light lunch. Both had a panini which had a poor filling and basically luke warm. Not convinced I actually received the beer I ordered either. Would avoid if ever in Stratford again.

We've been visiting Stratford-upon-Avon for many years and have always dropped into The Golden Bee for a cheap drink and snacks. However, over the years, it has steadily gone downhill and is now a place to avoid in the evenings, as it's sadly infested with argumentative, aggressive, low-intellect chavs. Such a shame!

The bar was not very busy the staff were more interested in talking to each other when I asked if I could order I was abruptly told to wait by one of the barman so I did wait and watched three others laughing and joking till someone walked up with a glass and got served I must have been invisible stood there with menu in hand

A lovely pub, so reasonable, we had a lovely time, we tried breakfast lunch and tea, all the food was lovely I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely disgusting food asked for a well done steak got a raw steak pissing out blood came out within 3 minutes asked for the tablets to be clean all 4 tablets was left filthy and no one bothered to clean them

Came here while visiting Stratford upon Avon. Really good value for money, great location. The food is decent and you get decent portions.

Never knowing where might be open on a sunday night, we popped into spoons, we weren't disappointed, ham and eggs, fish and chips, dairy free intolerance not a problem. Harry was really helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble.

Food and service were fine. Only issue was we didn't realise that the Gourment Sirloin steak is seasoned. Wife suffers from IBS and has had a reaction to the steak. She has had this meal before at other Wetherspoons but no reaction. She has never noticed the seasoning before but on this occasion she did taste it and it did not agree with her. My meal was as expected, Large Mixed Grill, no complaints.

On a day trip to Stratford upon Avon came in for lunch and was very pleased with the food i had and the service was excellent as well

As the title says…absolutely filthy place with slow service and staff have no concept of cleaning. We sat outside but were told that we’d have to go inside at 6pm due to outside area closing. We thought this was fine as we were planning on leaving anyway but at 17:40 they ushered us inside and every single table was filthy and full of dirty glasses. The toilets are terrible, one working sink to wash your hands and usually Wetherspoons have toilet checks and they are clean but it seems to have passed this one by. There’s many better pubs in the area, I suggest you look elsewhere.
