After a long journey pulled into Godwins and wow it looked very impressive went inside and the staff were really welcoming and helpful I went for a quick shower then went to the bar for a few beers and a meal I went for the fish and chips and it didn't disappoint had a great time talking to locals really friendly people the room was really clean and warm which was an improvement on the previous night staying at what can only be described as the WORST hotel I ever had the misfortune of staying in

I love staying in this beautiful historic building , Jo & her team create such a wonderful atmosphere , clean rooms,professional friendly service & wonderful home cooked food I look forward to going back!

I stayed here with my husband to attend a friends party on 24th June. I paid for bed and breakfast. Shortly before our stay, the hotel emailed to say they wouldn’t be serving breakfast. Predictably, we were still charged for breakfast and I’ve been fighting ever since to have the extra cost refunded. Now I am just being ignored.

Beautiful looking Gothic Victorian style building plenty of parking space Check in at 3pm and out in the morning by 11am peaceful location and lovely cosy bar up until a certain time Rooms are spacious the one me and my friend had I didn't want to leave

Very nice room. Warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend Godwins without reservation

Beautiful room, lovely staff, will definitely come back if in the area. Loved that they supplied actual mugs instead of small tea cups. 👍 The matteress wasn't great for us, so didn't sleep that well, (hence couldn't give it that fith star) but everything else was grand!!!!
