Came here yesterday at 2.15, looking for something to eat. They finish serving food at 2pm unfortunately. However, they did manage to get us in for something light off the menu (starter) The one bowl of chips were overdone though, but thanks for accommodating us.

Just there for the painting workshop.

We've just had Christmas dinner here, WOW, what a meal. From arrival to the time we walked out, nothing was too much trouble from any of the staff, Hannah and her team of trojans just seem to thrive on work. The meal, the turkey was tender and juicy, pigs in blankets were to die for and the spuds, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, carrots, brussels and pickled cabbage as well on the plate plus a bowl of cauliflower cheese on the table as well. Thank you Hannah and her staff for a wonderful Christmas dinner, I would heartily recommend this pub whether you are local or just passing through the area and fancy a swift half and a bite to eat.

Had our staff Christmas party here what can I say brilliant, A warm welcome as you entered the pub with a large selection of drinks on the bar, The table was set up nicely and the food was incredible the lamb shank was to die for perfectly cooked and the dessert was delicious. Lots of games to keep the whole party entertained and a great atmosphere All in all I highly recommend the Pub and a lot of us will definitely be returning again soon

Such a lovely and friendly pub!! It's been a while since I have walked into a proper pub that makes me feel welcome and serves good food. There's a play area for kids to entertain themselves so adults can have a conversation LOVE IT

We stopped in for Sunday lunch and boy were we glad we did. From the moment on entering the lovely couple running the pub could not have been warmer or more welcoming. We went for the Sunday roast and it was one of the best we have had for a long time. All clearly freshly prepared, good size portions, very tasty and the winning option of extra pigs in blankets. Puddings were a delight too, the apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding finished the mean in fine style. A bit gutted we are not local, but when we are in the area again we will be sure to stop in. If you're local, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

We had a great Sunday lunch here in July for a 75th birthday celebration. 16 adults and 4 kids which is obviously never easy to cater for. We were given a great space to ourselves and all the food came out together and was piping hot. Great quality food, super portions, friendly staff and great value. Excellent selection of drinks at the bar too. And toys for the kids to play with! Communication when booking and organising was also brilliant. Highly recommended.

Stopped for Sunday lunch. Ordered turkey & gammon but got pork & gammon. Vegetables were too hard to eat but the potatoes were nice

A Great experience and great pub working hard in the community , they do events and get local food business to attend as well . Don't be rude and buy a drink if you do these. I was surprised at the pub entering, it has a lovely atmosphere and well worth a visit without the weekly pop ups. It was very busy on my visit but service was on par and made to feel welcome. Certainly will visit again, without the pop ups and get some good pub grub and a pint or two. Please Support this pub they are trying so hard to be a successful business and I hope they achieve it. .

We were sceptical of the drag queen night. However a great night had by us all and we couldn’t stop talking about it the day after. The 2 guys serving behind the bar were hilarious. We will be back for the next one.

Stayed here overnight in motorhome. Excellent food and great value for money. Would definitely recommend, cater for everything even child's toys on patio and lovely touches in ladies toilets.

What makes a great pub depends on your preferences - it could be good food, dog or child-friendly, great local ales or a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The Royal Oak has all of this. New Owner, Hannah Slade, and her bar manager, Nate, gave us the warmest of welcomes. Hannah's extensive hospitality experience shines through as the whole team have a good service ethos. We went for Sunday Roast, and the food cooked up by the brilliant Ukranian chef, Elena, was super tasty. We'll be drawn back for the folk music Wednesdays and some of the events they are putting on, and next time our pooches will try out the dog ice cream. Highly recommended.

what can i say... hannah and her team are incredible. i rang up a week before my wedding and she managed to get a room for me. so flexible and attentive to what we requested. and certainly went above and beyond! will 100% be coming back

Rather pricey and small portions. The cheese baguette had been pre prepared and stored in the fridge...not nice.

Held a meeting there, made very welcome and will definitely visit when we are in the area again.

A lovely landlady. Our food was tasty but not hot. The plates were cold. Such a pity as I really hope this will succeed for her.

We emailed to ask if we could stay overnight in our campervan and had a quick reply saying we could. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and asked to select a table. We ordered and the food arrived quickly and was piping hot and very nice. We both enjoyed our starters and main courses and a few pints of local cider. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and we will pay a return visit in the near future.

Just having been to a wake, we will not be back again, the chilli was Luke warm and there had been no attempt to clear the ice from the patio or the steps.

We are fortunate to live close to the Royal Oak pub and Hannah and her staff have always been very friendly and helpful. It's a lovely pub with good food and interesting themed nights. There are always fun events taking place like morris dancing and bands. Definitely worth a visit!

Bike nite last week was heaving,loads of bikes and people unfortunately queue for the bar was stupidly long & slow,so I gave up & went dry.nice evening,stayed for about an hour then went to bike nite at the Retreat at Norton ,Worcester.

Lovely venue, hundreds of bikers chatting and raising cash for charity, First visit to the venue, they seemed overwhelmed by the numbers, ran out of food by 8pm

Lovely food at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Only thing stopping me giving 5 stars was the choice of ales. I expect this was due to the low footfall currently. But don't let this deter you from visiting this excellent pub.

Sadly underwhelmed. We were hopeful having read some good reviews. However, the food (Sunday lunch) left a lot to be desired including some undercooked roast potatoes and parsnips. Altogether it was just "ok". Our meals were also slow to arrive, due apparently to a new "trial chef". I'll admit that both my wife and myself are fussy, looking for true quality home cooking. Having now got home, I read online that this pub is under new management/ownership and will certainly have to up it's game as far as food and quality of staff is concerned if it is going to encourage customers to return!. Ps. Only having one ale on tap was also very surprising and disappointing.

I booked a table for lunch at the Royal Oak Much Marcle on Sunday 10 October. I ordered the roast beef, my friend the vegetarian. The beef was overcooked and so tough I could barely cut it. The waitress told me it had ben sliced earlier that morning. The roast potatoes were also overcooked in oil - there was barely any potato left inside and also hard to cut, the parsnip destroyed by over cooking. The red cabbage was OK, and the cauliflower cheese looked OK. The standard of food for the price (£13.00 i.e. comparable to the foodie pubs within a 5 -7 mile radius) was appalling. I was offered a different meat, but I went for Roast Beef. No manager was called, and we cancelled our lunch and left. Given the range of excellent pub food and Sunday lunches in the nearby vicinity I cannot recommend this venue.

We went for the Thursday Pie and pudding offer. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious, lovely and hot. This was a sticky toffee pudding it was amazing 🙂

This restaurant provides a varied menu. The food is excellent. It is served hot and is well presented. The service is friendly and efforts are made to make sure that you feel welcome. Will be recommending to friends!

Not good. Say no more. Further more to your reply. I had steak, chips. The most greasy onion rings I've ever had. Then it gets better mushrooms & onions bathing in oil. No tomato, though glad about that it would of been drowning in oil. I won't even mention the wife's meal. Oh go on then I will. It was worse. Now hopefully you might just remember us. But don't worry we have already forgotten your Cafe!!

I like to visit this pub Lovely atmosphere and staff are brilliant, food is also excellent. Great selection of beverages.

This is a lovely country pub and restaurant. I recently stayed here for bed and breakfast. The room was large and clean, with everything you could need. We chose to take our evening meal in the restaurant. There's a variety of dishes to choose from, and something to suit every pocket. The food is fabulous. Breakfast was was just as good, and was so filling we didn't need to eat again until evening. The staff were friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough to make our stay a good one. I'd definitely recommend coming here, whether it's for a lovely meal or a short break.

Fabulous venue, plenty of parking lovely clean pub indoor and outdoor seating gorgeous plants and views. The staff are lovely and the foods amazing. Really well priced food and drinks. Has lovely art work on display thats for sale. Really looking forward to going again. My only gripe would be the toilet facilities, they're not the best unfortunately but are clean and functional.

We had Sunday lunch at the Royal Oak and all I can say is it’s well worth the trip out good beers great food I had Confit of Duck and it was great and the service was second to none. Just like to say thank you and keep the good work up.

Lovely service and the starters were to die for. Recommend the cranberry cider brie parcels. Also a very sweet Labrador upstairs who kept looking wistfully at us!

My wife,I and our daughter were on holiday near Ledbury, July 2020.We ordered 3 Sunday takeaway lunches. When collected they were hot ,well cooked and the portions were good. Friday we ordered 2 further takeaways and again they were very good.Ecellent

Fantastic service when I have visited

I drove by this place about 15 years ago on my motorcycle, it was wet and cold and dark time in both outside and in my life, i walked in, bought some bakery and a coffee, and this coffee was so amazing that in my head this is still best coffee in my world. Waitress poured water trough some cassette with sugar and coffee in it and result was gorgeous. Maybe it was compote of all what happened in this era but i still remember it as it was yesterday.
