Visted as a family 2 roasts 1 steak 1 burger , steak was ok you don't get alot of sides to go with it..Roasts we're absolutely awful! reheated meats hard potato's and veg food was luke warm .Don't waste your money

Just went to the globe for a meal with the wife. We had a fabulous time. As always. Our waiter Sam was attentive polite and very helpful. We will be back again soon

I'm not one to write bad reviews however I haven't had a good experience at the globe for months now. The service is consistently disappointing, I regularly visit their sister restaurant the brassmill down the road; never an issue. However due to the brassmill closing for the day, me and my friend decided to try the globe again. Seated by a nice enough gentlemen who informed us on missing dishes, we were told someone would be over to take our drinks order shortly. 25 mins past still no drinks order, the waitress eventually came over and took our drinks order without giving us a chance to say we were ready for our starters and mains order. Drinks come in a decent amount of time. Starters arrive after 15-20 minutes which seemed rather long for a simple soup and chorizo prawns. After finishing our starters we waited a further 20 minutes to be cleared and have our mains sent away. When the mains finally come my friend's steak was bloody raw rather than medium, not a single opportunity to raise this with a staff member. No check back, nobody walked by throughout our meal at a pace even possible to get ahold their attention. Very disappointing. However my lamp was very well cooked and pleasant. Mains cleared not a word from waitress, no question on how the food was or if we wanted desserts. Went to find someone for dessert menus, staff just chatting in a group at the bar. Lady took order, crumble and brownie. Took half an hour to come out.. crazy. Not even slightly busy at this point seeming as we had been in the restaurant for 3 hours.. I had to find someone for the bill, then go up to show my voucher then go up again to pay. Awful experience, however they made our 2 drinks complementary, definitely will not return. Avoid.

Really lovely staff, very friendly, the cloudy lemonade is awful wouldn't recommend it to anyone, the food is OK just normal pub grub, puddings aren't great.

OK if you want to plough through salad thats been left at the back of the fridge to go brown. The Devil is in the Detail!!

We came here for a roast, somewhere I had never been before, and it was really good! No complaints about the roast but the dessert didn’t get put through to the kitchen but was rectified very quickly. This is somewhere I would visit again

Nearly empty pub but they won't serve food because they had 1 big party?! Bad management if you aren't able to cope with a not even half full pub. Glad we got a heads up before booking out the whole pub for an event.

Delicious food served with a smile in a warm and cozy environment. The starters were plentiful and came quickly. For a family of four, 3 starters and 4 entrees was almost too much. Special shout out to Sam for the wonderful service!

Booking a table at this popular restaurant was a challenge but the Sunday roast was well worth the wait, absolutely the finest in Bristol.

Steak over cooked, no tomato on the plate, which supposed to be on the dish, onion portion was a joke, 4 onion rings. Not impressed.

No nspkin, artisan bread on my brisket sandwhic was not anything more than you average processed white bread, brisket lacked flavour and ducence..... Chips and the tiny amount of gravy were bangib

This is a lovely find! We've been twice for Sunday lunch recently and both times it has been delicious!

Waited 20 mins for service . Ordered the trio but it was not available so asked for a couple of more minutes . Another 20 minutes wait so my daughter approached the server who had no customer service etiquette whatsoever. My daughter ordered lamb rump, then as the rest of us proceeded to order he stated there was suddenly no lamb. Walked out. Awful service. **As a response to the owner's update, I would like to clarify that after waiting 20 minutes for a server to take our order, we were told that the trio was not available as there was no turkey, only the beef and pork were available. At that time we were not told that the lamb rump was unavailable. We were given more time to look at the menu to make other choices. After another 20 minute wait, we had to find the server who never came back to our table. He proceeded to take my daughters order for the lamb rump and put this into his tablet, only when I ordered the lamb rump also were then told there was no lamb. In the 40 minutes we were sat at the table. What do you think you could have possibly done to make the 40 minute wait just to order food more pleasurable?, we were not even offered refreshments.

Came for Sunday lunch as recommended by a friend. As to be expected, it was busy over lunchtime and the pub was crowded, as a result, service was understandably a little slow at times, but the waitress was polite and apologised for the delay. When the food arrived, however, all was soon forgiven: the Sunday roast itself was excellent, the lamb was beautifully cooked and just pink enough, the vegetables were perfectly done and seasoned, and the gravy was superb. The general ambiance was also pleasant, busy but not noisy, and the music was well-chosen and at a suitable volume; loud enough to appreciate while not overpowering conversations. Overall, it was a very pleasant meal, and we will be back.

Beware. The car park has now been privatised. What a joke. Disabled and i e received a fine for parking for an hour. First time I've ever heard of parking enforcement for a pub. Never going to this place again

Party of 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, really tasty!! Loved the warm cosy atmosphere and the staff were amazing even though it was extremely busy we were well looked after. Definitely will be returning real soon.

This is a lovely old pub. The staff are very friendly and the food was great.

I took my mum to The Globe for lunch today. We had the most delicious meal. I had pan fried lamb and mum had lasagna with chips as she’s not keen on ciabatta. Compliments to the chef Nay……I think that’s how you spell her name. Staff are always helpful especially Holly and Steve. We had a bargain 40% off with our loyalty app too.

Went to The Globe for lunch. Good menu to choose from and average prices. Welcoming staff. Monitored carpark that you have to put your registration in upon arrival so don't forget! (Why, I have no idea as there's nowhere else around for drivers to hog the carpark spaces). If you fancy a couple of bevvies before your meal I'd suggest sitting in the bar for a while before ordering your table as the waitress was very quick to ask for our food order. Good drinks selection and quite busy for a Friday lunchtime.

Great place to catch up and meet family and friends, just make sure you check out your parking.

A very convenient stopping place for us to have lunch or a drink on occasion. There is a huge car park with plenty of spaces. The service was wonderful and felt very personal. Thank you in particular to manager Olivia who helped us immensely with my dog and my baby girl.

I’ve been to the Globe many times and usually it’s fairly good. You know what you’re getting; decent chain pub food and friendly service. This is the first time I’ve been moved enough, either positively or negatively, to write a review. Yesterday we had a frustrating experience as the service, which often isn’t very fast here, was extremely slow. We were in the pub for two hours and the adults only had a main course (party of 8). After being seated, we waited fifteen minutes before we asked to be served. The wait for food and then ordering and receiving children’s desserts was equally long. The staff were all pleasant as always but they could have done with one extra hand I think, it felt inattentive. This feeling was only compounded by a table behind ours (nearer the service area) being served noticeably more quickly, getting mains and then desserts before us, despite arriving later. Food was pretty good as usual although we had a problem which is very common at the Globe on a Sunday, if you go later in the afternoon lots of the roasts have sold out. This has happened to us many times and never seems to change, perhaps they could order just a little bit more!

This was my wedding anniversary and I took my wife for a lovely meal. I recommended that we should go there because I had gone with my brother on previous occasions. We were not disappointed. Great food, quick and efficient service. Sophia and Penny were very welcoming and friendly. We had a very pleasant evening and the Globe made it special. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stopped for a 🍻 drink on the way back from a motorcycle ride to Weston Super Mare. Nice break after a great ride on a sunny day.

Booked for a sunday roast, was then told none left when i got there. Took 25 minutes to take our drinks order and then another 15 minutes to receive them. The restaurant has since contacted me and offered me a free meal, it must have just been a one off day, food was lovely and service was excellent

Visited Bath on business and found it too busy to get a light lunch so dropped into the Globe on the way back home to Devon. (last visit was 43 years ago in my youth!) Great service! Greeted with a friendly smile and given a menu even though we hadn’t booked. We had the steak sandwich which was cooked to perfection as was my fish finger sandwich both on lovely crusty baguettes with fries. Good selection of beers too. Hats off to Stef who I was told was the chef that day. 5 star, can’t fault. Will visit again when next that way but won’t wait 43 years!

First time visiting the globe. Food was lovely, value for money for the set lunch menu was great. My son has written on his play sheet five star. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will come again.

Just to start off i dont like leaving bad reviews however here we go We came for a birthday meal on a Tuesday. We were seated promptly, menus given and drinks ordered quickly. Great start. Food order then taken. The wait for starters to come out wasn't long which was good however I ordered the chicken with chilli jam and I had to ask for my chilli jam as it was missing from the plate. My daughter ordered the calamari and it had the oddest tasting batter I have ever tried but my daughter ate it. Plates cleared and we wanted to order another round of drinks but had to go to the bar as no one came to ask of we wanted any more and we didn't get chance to ask anyone. Drinks ordered at bar and main meals come out shortly after. Steak ordered medium was actually closer to well done but try not to grumble its not a steak house. I ordered the sea bass fillets with crispy new potatoes . They were deep fried and greasy and the whole meal was cold. I tried to eat what I could however it was so cold I couldn't continue. When we were eventually checked to see if every thing was OK I mentioned that my meal came out cold and I was offered another one. I declined as everyone else was nearly done and as it was a birthday meal I didn't want to be waiting for another meal to come out. I did say that I want happy to pay for my meal. The waitress went and spoke to the manager and when she came back to clear the empty plates informed me that it would be removed from the bill and the kitchen said to her they knew it was cold when it went out as it was waiting on the pass for a while before being collected to bring to the table. It was that comment that prompted me to write this review. The globe inn - If you know the food is cold do not send it out to a paying customer. We were also told that it was busier than expected. I get this however is the food cheaper because the quality is poorer and the service isn't as it would usually be. The answer is no. We were going to order pudding but didnt as we were waiting quite a while for someone to come back and take our order, so we went to the bar and got our bill instead. Which came to just over £145.00 after 1 meal was removed. Not overly happy customers unfortunately won't be returning for a special occasion again.

Great food good atmosphere and surroundings

Our second visit in a week due to holidaying in the local area. On the whole a nice experience with reasonable food. During the second visit there was an issue with two lots of fish and chips we ordered. Both fish were dry. The manager duly rectified the issue and we left happy.

Fairly average pub / restaurant. Not the most scenic of locations, but easy to find and with a large car park. Menu with all the usuals - burgers, steaks, fish & chips etc. Reasonably tasty, average pricing, helpful if slightly confused staff. Overall not bad, but not great - average.

Greeted by the amazing Sophie, it was nice to be greeted by such a friendly face. Our food was awesome. Best Pizza I have ever had, it was perfect, smoky and so tasty. I even ate the crusts (a first). Even though the restaurant was busy Sophie had time for everyone. Another waitress kindly offered to take our picture as she spotted us struggling to get it done. We will be returning.

Great stop off for lunch, good food in a friendly atmosphere, well positioned on a major roundabout coming out of Bath.

Popped in for a quick dinner and a pint. Really nice gammon and chips cooked on the grill. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in our camper in the car park. Huge space and despite a little road noise a very nice place to pitch up. Pub was friendly and accommodating! Good good. Good selection of drinks. Very relaxed. Car park free on registration at bar. You can stay until mid night the next night. We will catch the bus outside the pub to visit Bath tomorrow! Great find !

On our last visit (months ago) we had issues. My daughter e-mailed and pointed out why we were so disappointed. We were offered some sort of compensation. We decided to give them a another chance today. Everything was perfect and they honoured their promise - fantastic customer service and food. Well done

Revisited the Globe after not having been for a few years. The service was great but I had to send my steak back as it was not cooked how I had asked for it. This was rectified but meant a 15 minute wait whilst my companion was eating. She was not particularly impressed with her pie, the mash was not very warm and the vegetables were not great quality. The steak was excellent (the second time round) and we were given free desserts which was appreciated.

The food was disappointing, it was mostly cold, the steak was tough and the fish very dry. The waitress however was very good.

French .. living in France .. my "family-in-law" living at Keynsham I'm always so pleased to come to "the Globe".. it's a mandatory step in UK for me...

I thought pulling into the carpark, the place really took me by surprise, lovely big carpark, and quite pretty too. Seating area was pretty and overall impressed. I was greeting politely and informed there was no roast dinners (sold out which was understandable considering the time) asked if I could have no meat just Veg and potatoes etc. Went and checked and said was ok. Sat down food was efficiently ordered. Asked because I wasn't having the meat and no parsnips, could I have pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese, which again was checked and said yes. So went ahead and ordered. Wasn't asked if had any allergies though all other tables around me were asked. Food was brought out, the pigs in blankets were extremely anemic in colour, so I mentioned this and said I tried one and they were not very hot at all, and she said, you like them cooked a bit more, no problem will get those changed for you. They came back out just heated up, but still anemic. I had no Yorkshire pudding which was asked previously if id like one, to which I said yes, but that was only brought out with the re heated pigs in blankets, I also had parsnips on my plate which I asked not to have. No apology, I had to suggest shall I put them in a pot and maybe swoped for a potato or something. No one came back to ask how the food was but yet again people close by were asked. Heard a few times waitresses saying to people that they have turkey roast dinners, yet I was told no roast dinners left when I came in. Apart from the cauliflower cheese the food wasn't particularly hot. The bill was paid, whilst walking out, walked past a waitress at the station, wasn't acknowledged but I said thank you and the staff member was scrolling on Facebook. Definitely didn't feel valued. Thought the food was definitely on the higher end of the price.

Couldn't miss the 40% off mains so just had to go and enjoy the food and the cocktails.

Disappointed lunch we have been here lots of times and always had a lovely time.. while in the area we thought we stop off for a few nibbles to share menu caterers for everyone just the portion sizes weren't great over priced for what you get salad not washed just a few leafs thrown out of a packet no dressing Chicken starter dry needs more jam/sauce £7 brie bites not melted in the middle £7 creamy mushrooms watery and tasteless real shame.. staff and pub its self is great

We attended a charity pub quiz here last week and had a brilliant time. The staff coped well with the high volume of guests, were friendly and informative. The food and drinks were served quickly and with a smile.

The food and service were excellent! We came on Father's day for a treat with our 2 sons. The place was packed and they were very busy so understandably the food took a little longer than normal but nothing to complain about. All 3 courses were delicious and beautifully presented.

Most overpriced meal I’ve ever had, not value for money by any stretch of the imagination, first and last visit to the Globe, whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth.
