A very convenient stopping place for us to have lunch or a drink on occasion. There is a huge car park with plenty of spaces. The service was wonderful and felt very personal. Thank you in particular to manager Olivia who helped us immensely with my dog and my baby girl.

This was my wedding anniversary and I took my wife for a lovely meal. I recommended that we should go there because I had gone with my brother on previous occasions. We were not disappointed. Great food, quick and efficient service. Sophia and Penny were very welcoming and friendly. We had a very pleasant evening and the Globe made it special. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent meal and great service from Vicky our waitress. Good value for money with a menu to suit most peoples tastes. Nice location and very comfortable. Would certainly recommend.

Booked for a sunday roast, was then told none left when i got there. Took 25 minutes to take our drinks order and then another 15 minutes to receive them. The restaurant has since contacted me and offered me a free meal, it must have just been a one off day, food was lovely and service was excellent

Visited Bath on business and found it too busy to get a light lunch so dropped into the Globe on the way back home to Devon. (last visit was 43 years ago in my youth!) Great service! Greeted with a friendly smile and given a menu even though we hadn’t booked. We had the steak sandwich which was cooked to perfection as was my fish finger sandwich both on lovely crusty baguettes with fries. Good selection of beers too. Hats off to Stef who I was told was the chef that day. 5 star, can’t fault. Will visit again when next that way but won’t wait 43 years!

First time visiting the globe. Food was lovely, value for money for the set lunch menu was great. My son has written on his play sheet five star. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will come again.

Just to start off i dont like leaving bad reviews however here we go We came for a birthday meal on a Tuesday. We were seated promptly, menus given and drinks ordered quickly. Great start. Food order then taken. The wait for starters to come out wasn't long which was good however I ordered the chicken with chilli jam and I had to ask for my chilli jam as it was missing from the plate. My daughter ordered the calamari and it had the oddest tasting batter I have ever tried but my daughter ate it. Plates cleared and we wanted to order another round of drinks but had to go to the bar as no one came to ask of we wanted any more and we didn't get chance to ask anyone. Drinks ordered at bar and main meals come out shortly after. Steak ordered medium was actually closer to well done but try not to grumble its not a steak house. I ordered the sea bass fillets with crispy new potatoes . They were deep fried and greasy and the whole meal was cold. I tried to eat what I could however it was so cold I couldn't continue. When we were eventually checked to see if every thing was OK I mentioned that my meal came out cold and I was offered another one. I declined as everyone else was nearly done and as it was a birthday meal I didn't want to be waiting for another meal to come out. I did say that I want happy to pay for my meal. The waitress went and spoke to the manager and when she came back to clear the empty plates informed me that it would be removed from the bill and the kitchen said to her they knew it was cold when it went out as it was waiting on the pass for a while before being collected to bring to the table. It was that comment that prompted me to write this review. The globe inn - If you know the food is cold do not send it out to a paying customer. We were also told that it was busier than expected. I get this however is the food cheaper because the quality is poorer and the service isn't as it would usually be. The answer is no. We were going to order pudding but didnt as we were waiting quite a while for someone to come back and take our order, so we went to the bar and got our bill instead. Which came to just over £145.00 after 1 meal was removed. Not overly happy customers unfortunately won't be returning for a special occasion again.

Our second visit in a week due to holidaying in the local area. On the whole a nice experience with reasonable food. During the second visit there was an issue with two lots of fish and chips we ordered. Both fish were dry. The manager duly rectified the issue and we left happy.

Fairly average pub / restaurant. Not the most scenic of locations, but easy to find and with a large car park. Menu with all the usuals - burgers, steaks, fish & chips etc. Reasonably tasty, average pricing, helpful if slightly confused staff. Overall not bad, but not great - average.

Greeted by the amazing Sophie, it was nice to be greeted by such a friendly face. Our food was awesome. Best Pizza I have ever had, it was perfect, smoky and so tasty. I even ate the crusts (a first). Even though the restaurant was busy Sophie had time for everyone. Another waitress kindly offered to take our picture as she spotted us struggling to get it done. We will be returning.

Lovely relaxed family friendly pub. Even the doggies were welcomed. Plenty of parking. Challenging for wheelchair users, and limited choice for vegetarians.

Popped in for a quick dinner and a pint. Really nice gammon and chips cooked on the grill. Would highly recommend.

Great stop off for lunch, good food in a friendly atmosphere, well positioned on a major roundabout coming out of Bath.

We stayed in our camper in the car park. Huge space and despite a little road noise a very nice place to pitch up. Pub was friendly and accommodating! Good good. Good selection of drinks. Very relaxed. Car park free on registration at bar. You can stay until mid night the next night. We will catch the bus outside the pub to visit Bath tomorrow! Great find !

Revisited the Globe after not having been for a few years. The service was great but I had to send my steak back as it was not cooked how I had asked for it. This was rectified but meant a 15 minute wait whilst my companion was eating. She was not particularly impressed with her pie, the mash was not very warm and the vegetables were not great quality. The steak was excellent (the second time round) and we were given free desserts which was appreciated.

On our last visit (months ago) we had issues. My daughter e-mailed and pointed out why we were so disappointed. We were offered some sort of compensation. We decided to give them a another chance today. Everything was perfect and they honoured their promise - fantastic customer service and food. Well done

The food was disappointing, it was mostly cold, the steak was tough and the fish very dry. The waitress however was very good.

I thought pulling into the carpark, the place really took me by surprise, lovely big carpark, and quite pretty too. Seating area was pretty and overall impressed. I was greeting politely and informed there was no roast dinners (sold out which was understandable considering the time) asked if I could have no meat just Veg and potatoes etc. Went and checked and said was ok. Sat down food was efficiently ordered. Asked because I wasn't having the meat and no parsnips, could I have pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese, which again was checked and said yes. So went ahead and ordered. Wasn't asked if had any allergies though all other tables around me were asked. Food was brought out, the pigs in blankets were extremely anemic in colour, so I mentioned this and said I tried one and they were not very hot at all, and she said, you like them cooked a bit more, no problem will get those changed for you. They came back out just heated up, but still anemic. I had no Yorkshire pudding which was asked previously if id like one, to which I said yes, but that was only brought out with the re heated pigs in blankets, I also had parsnips on my plate which I asked not to have. No apology, I had to suggest shall I put them in a pot and maybe swoped for a potato or something. No one came back to ask how the food was but yet again people close by were asked. Heard a few times waitresses saying to people that they have turkey roast dinners, yet I was told no roast dinners left when I came in. Apart from the cauliflower cheese the food wasn't particularly hot. The bill was paid, whilst walking out, walked past a waitress at the station, wasn't acknowledged but I said thank you and the staff member was scrolling on Facebook. Definitely didn't feel valued. Thought the food was definitely on the higher end of the price.

Disappointed lunch we have been here lots of times and always had a lovely time.. while in the area we thought we stop off for a few nibbles to share menu caterers for everyone just the portion sizes weren't great over priced for what you get salad not washed just a few leafs thrown out of a packet no dressing Chicken starter dry needs more jam/sauce £7 brie bites not melted in the middle £7 creamy mushrooms watery and tasteless real shame.. staff and pub its self is great

We attended a charity pub quiz here last week and had a brilliant time. The staff coped well with the high volume of guests, were friendly and informative. The food and drinks were served quickly and with a smile.

The food and service were excellent! We came on Father's day for a treat with our 2 sons. The place was packed and they were very busy so understandably the food took a little longer than normal but nothing to complain about. All 3 courses were delicious and beautifully presented.

Most overpriced meal I’ve ever had, not value for money by any stretch of the imagination, first and last visit to the Globe, whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth.

I wouldn't be in a Rush to eat here again, after ordering the signature burger which is advertised being made from prime steak it was cooked to within a inch of being a Leather handbag, the onion rings were what I can only assume a Guinness world record attempt for the smallest onion rings ever made, a order for a Chicken Caesar salad with zero seasoning and less dressing then a Stripper,a open the bag toss it in a bowl appeared to be the approach, nice touch on the Kids meal adding Cucumber and carrot sticks and to be fair the chicken nuggets were not half bad. Staff are very polite friendly can't knock them at all. Beer is beer over priced but cold and wet. A lot of money for not much better then a McDonald's shame really.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. You can stay overnight in the parking lot for free. When consumed in a restaurant.

Booked a room for a wake. Great facilities with tea and coffee makings and hot food (the sticky chicken is mouthwateringly moreish!). Good selection of beers and lagers.

Visited here with my family on Sunday, had a roast dinner which was nice however potato’s were soft and rubbery. Our waitress Lily was very friendly and helpful.

Food and servers were great The cheff Jaz cooked the steak to perfection, the pork belly was perfect as was the roast. Our server El was attentive and welcoming, overall a great experience. The atmosphere was a little tarnished due to foul mouthed customers, (whether-spoons is still closed 😜) their manners and attitude towards the staff member was unnecessary and not needed, the server took the rudeness and she remained very professional. Well done.

Dropped off here from the airport. Lovely place inside, food fab and a very nice menu. Prices reasonable and staff so friendly.

Rude unhelpful staff 😒 If you get offered any discounts make sure to read the small print. I was informed that if your a regular customer you don't matter and more discounts are offered to non members. We have previously saved points up only to go to use them to find they had been wiped off. They do anything to get out of the discounts. Well we voted with are feet.

Today i went for a lovely meal at the globe, i was served by the lovely waiter Sam. W. He was truly lovely and made the experience very pleasant. He was very effecient and made us feel welcomed at the pub. The food was lovely.

An excellent pub to visit. The food was amazing as well as excellent service this afternoon from Sam.

I couldn't fault the food or service but a visit to the toilets was disgusting, never seen so much dust and dirt on paintwork, clearly never had a proper clean, my partner went into the gents and said toilets were filthy. Not acceptable when they had only been opened and hour and half and not busy.

Went for our 37th anniversary, Our hostess Lauren was good. Was disappointed , when I went to order they said it was unavailable . Sorry nota good experience.

Food is very good, service sometimes a bit stretched. Basically full of tourists and local pensioners - not a place for loads of atmosphere - but reliable good quality eats. Slightly annoyed we didn't get offered cheaper lunchtime menu, just full price, and had to ask we only knew there was one because we're local. You should note however that this is only available at certain times and not weekends to be fair. Parking on site.

The sunday roast bas very nice especially the veggie option. The waiting staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We ordered starters that were to be served with the children's menu. The starters arrived one at a time and one was even wrong. The children's menus They arrived at different times. After a while while we were eating the starters, the Sunday roast arrived. Three were right and one was completely cold and the gravy was all dry. We expected at least a discount given all the mistakes, but that was not the case.

A quick pre gig meal, Buttermilk Chicken Burger and Chips + Margharita Pizza. Drinks Fentimans Orange and Manadarin together with Peroni Zero. Disappointed with temperature of chicken burger from this usually excellent place. Dessert however was a shared Apple and Blackberry Crumble and Custard which was piping hot. Usual pleasant and efficient staff.

Nothing particularly great to mention sadly. FOOD ! bacon not cooked enough so I had to return & small portion of Max Cheese Sticky toffee pud texture was soggy and not a good flavour and it came with cold custard which I had to return. Husbands chocolate brownie was ok as were the coffees. We visited this place a year ago and were disappointed with our food then so after giving it another chance we decided we wouldn’t return again.

Friendly greeting, nothing rushed regarding food selections. Plenty of time to decide. Calamari starter was a little dry and lots of small pieces - fewer larger size pieces would have been succulent. The other starter (chilli prawns and chorizo) was lovely. Both mains were a delight (fishcakes and steak and ale pie). Dessert was shared (crème brulé) and was perfect. Staff very sincere, helpful and tipped accordingly. A lovely lunch. . . .

We love this place, it is so welcoming and well run, attention to detail from managers is exceptional. This pub/resteraunt not only welcomes dogs but actively care about making them feel welcome, we dined in the resteraunt and the food was exceptional, we were really well attended to by serving staff. This pub allows campervans to stay over on the large car park if you drink or dine with them. Well done guys. You’re smashing it. 👏🏽

We came here for my birthday meal last night, first time we’ve ever been and it was amazing food with amazing service, The menu has lots of choice, food was nice and hot when it came out I had the pie of the day and while there was a little wait for it to come out, it tasted like it was freshly made and cooked right there and then, even better you can bring dogs, I’ll be telling family so we can come with the dogs, the staff were so helpful and friendly, we’ll be back today for Sunday lunch, wish I could give you 10 gold stars

Away for Easter weekend 🐣 Booked here for Easter Sunday Dinner! The staff were so accommodating with our very fussy 14 yr old! Food was outstanding and the service too ❤️ Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Very slow service, and the food that my guest and I had, chicken curry, was very dry and the rice had formed into a mushy ball, obviously microwaved, embarrassing that my guest could not even eat hers. The staff were polite.

There were four of us and we all had the roast, this was well cooked and tasty and we were grateful to see the use of fresh vegetables, the only downside was that the food was almost cold when served. . We all had the mini dessert with a hot drink, these were delicious. We ordered the non alcoholic cocktail citrus fizz, but you had no non alcoholic Gin so a substitute had to be used, we also could not get a Chai latte as you had no chai spice. A few disappointments, but this has not put us off coming back. We brought a dog with us and it was great that we could order him a doggy dinner which went down well. Despite being busy all of the staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Improvements to find a way of keeping the food hot and keeping everything stocked up to avoid disappointment, we will definitely be returning.
