Great coffee shop! We love coming here. All the staff are lovely and take the time to have a chat. Coffees are beautiful too. They can get really busy and the baristas struggle to keep up with the table turnaround which some people don't seem to understand but you can see they try their best. Will happily keep returning.

One of the dirtiest cafes in Keynsham. Tables always absolutely fifty. Never get wiped down. Dirty trays with cups left on tables for hours. I have been here for over an hour on one occasion and not seen one table cleared or wiped. Dogs on chairs (which they say they don't allow but nobody cares). Absolutely fifty. I have several family members who won't eat there it's so bad.

First of all the staff were top notch! Great workers who really work hard. Secondly great coffee great cakes, of not a tad overpriced. Thirdly... If your going to let dogs in, at least make them behave, or tell the owners to get out. What should of been an enjoyable morning with colleagues was completely ruined by inconsiderate tarty so called yummy mummy's who can't be bothered to control your stupid yappy dogs. If your bringing your stupid dogs with you at least have the respect and decency for the other customers. However the Biscoff cheesecake is delicious.

By far the best coffee shop iv been in! The coffee taste great and the staff are always friendly, smiling and nice to talk with. Steff the manager is a real pleasure always laughing and smiling. I work from a coffee shop 5 day a week and always come here as the coffee is always is consistent and good tasting, the place has a nice atmosphere and is always well maintained and clean. The staff are welcoming and always have time for a chat and a go above and beyond with service level.

I love the coffee and the majority of the staff are lovely, however the young female manager is rude and moody. She seems to pick and choose who she is friendly with and her attitude is bad. The other staff could not be more helpful and the coffee is great but this does put me off going.

Amazingly busy for a Thursday morning, so very noisy, but that's the price for popularity. Coffee and tea quite agreeable, as was a mature lady waiter who came to our table with extras milk within a few seconds of being asked. Staff were under pressure, but despite a rather strange at-counter ordering service seemed to be up to the task. Management - please sort the toilet out. It is untidy, and really needs a serious makeover.

My 1 star is aimed at Coffee #1 management, not at any individual hard working staff member(s) this particular morning. Saturday 30th July. 1 member of staff working (until at least 9.45 when someone else arrived) in a coffee shop as large as this is unacceptable (I'm surprised its even legal). The young lady working should be given as much praise as possible. She was serving coffee, prepping food, clearing tables, even sorting out someone's query about coffee grinds for their garden (to be quite honest, I think he could have called back considering how busy the member of staff was) and she still remained calm, happy and courteous. I know recruitment & unexpected absence due to illness may be an issue at the moment, but local & senior management should be embarrassed & ashamed at this.

This is my second review of this place and I am really sadly unimpressed. Went in again for a take away flat white. With two team members behind the counter. There were two couples in front of me. 7 minutes to make 6 drinks?? In that time they did manage to take my order however. During this time a third member of staff wanders over chats then goes away again?!! Did I mention that there were 5 people in the queue behind me? As soon as they finished the couples in front of me the most proactive member of staff went on to start to take their orders and then remembered my drink. My flat white was weak and had no foam. Why did I give this two stars?? This is British service at its most vacant.

I waited in a queue of about 10 people for over 15 minutes. There was only one member of staff present, who appeared to be new. He was pleasant but very slow and deliberate. After 15 minutes a second person appeared which sped things up a little. Even wosre than the wait was that all drinks were only available in cardboard cups. I had tea and my 3 friends had coffee, we all agreed the main taste from the cups was cardboard. I have been to coffee#1 many, many times, but this will probably be my last.

This place closes at 18:00 on a Saturday. On my way home I walked in at 17:45 for a takeaway coffee. The kids behind the counter told me as I walked through the door that they had stopped serving. No one else in there yet doors open and obviously waiting to close and get away dead on 6. Isn’t the point of this business to sell coffee? Is sad as their coffee is nice. But the service absolutely sucks.

I used to use Coffee One all the time. Nowadays Keynsham is in risk of too many coffee places! But C#1 is still one of the best. The coffee is really good. The service is excellent and the staff always friendly. The design of the shop is nice and I always like the atmosphere. However, a few problems are developing. For example: for some reason the seats are now super uncomfortable. A few are these metal type things that dig into you or just feel cold (and some of the wooden ones are shaky). I don't think they've changed them, but I definitely think they should invest in a spruce up. Also the prices on the food have slowly risen. I paid almost a fiver for a sandwich - ok my choice, I bought it - but whilst it was admittedly lovely I couldn't help but wonder if it could have been more reasonable as opposed to paying almost twice the price of the accompanying drink. However in fairness when they serve the food they also bring out a crisp bowl. That was a lovely pleasant surprise... but I wonder if I'd not felt as stung by price if I knew I was paying for the crisps as well?Never mind. The staff are excellent, the decor lovely, the food and coffees well exceed the taste test, so those are the important things. I'm sure C#1 will get in better seats soon and, well, yes it's sandwiches a little dear but scrummy nontheless. I'm going to keep coming to this great place.

They do more than just coffee notwithstanding the name. The tea is excellent loose leave tea served in a pot with cups and saucers. I make this point because it is a nice diversion from the bag on a tray with a mug of lukewarm water offered in so many other chains. No where else does teacakes this big and the fact they now give enough butter to cover them is a bonus. The coffee as ever was delicious. With picture windows that open into the high street it's a most cosmopolitan experience in a small West Country town. We visited Coffee #1 for the second time, intending to grab a quick cup of something hot and take the weight off our feet.I ordered our drinks (two Americanos) and was surprised with the speed with which they arrived on the tray. Less than a minute seemed to pass between ordering and collecting. Having worked as a barista myself this seemed incredibly fast, but the coffee looked good and was certainly warm.I returned to the table and the comfy chairs and tasted the coffee. The crema gave a slightly burnt taste which as I reached the halfway point had disappeared, much like the flavour. It was rather like drinking warm brown water. My father found the same and remarked that it was one of the worst coffees he had ever had. I was left wanting, especially as I enjoy the surroundings and decor in Coffee #1 and the staff are always very friendly. Please sort the coffee out - it's not cheap!

Being a keen coffee drinker I have tried many coffee shops in and around Bristol. I like the independants as well as some chains. Coffee is OK here but not fantastic. Has a weak bland taste. I like the stronger Costa taste. Maybe just me. Value for money is poor. This is the first coffee shop I have been in that charges extra for soya milk, and 35p extra which I think is a rip off. The large cappacinno was really the size of a medium you would get from Costa or Grounded and £5,85 for 2 is one of the dearest.unfortunatelly apart from a couple of sofa areas the chairs are cheap metal and uncomfortable. Not for a relaxing coffee at all. Finally no tea spoons are available?? Just wooden stirrers which you usually get with take away coffees. The atmosphere was nice but that does not make an experience on its own. Not a bad experience but think I will spend my money elsewhere next time.Steve

A recent addition to Keynsham's bustling high street. Plenty of tables along with overstuffed leather armchairs and some antique-style decoration makes for a wholly pleasant atmosphere. An abundance of staff with a friendly and efficient service. Expect queues, especially on weekends. A range of panini options and a seasonal drinks menu are worth exploring. Family friendly with a range of options for children, but also quite comfortable for the lone diner that wants nothing more than a sit down and a read of a good book with a mug of something tasty. On this particular occasion I chose the turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce panini with an accompanying mug of hot chocolate. The panini was generous in size and arrived at my table within five minutes. If I'm going to have to be picky I would say that the panini could have done with perhaps a couple more minutes in the grill as the outside was satisfyingly warm and crispy, but the inside was less so. The hot chocolate was rich and thick, and clearly of a good quality.Overall, it is difficult to identify any major faults with this particular branch of Coffee #1 and would certainly recommend this establishment to anyone finding themselves on Keynsham High Street and in need of refreshment.

Early morning caffeine was needed and this was very close to my hotel. Ordered a latte and a muffin. Latte was beautiful and tasted good. Muffin was just okay.

I'm a frequent visitor to bristol airport, as my partner travels for work, so I'm often there to wait for his flights to come in. Unfortunately, there are very few options for anywhere to sit while waiting, other than cafe ritazza. Because of this, the cafe area is always busy, and all the regular/normal seating is always taken, so I have to try get my 50+yo arthritic, short arse up one one of their many Eiffel tower height stools, and if that's not hard enough, the darn things also swivel! No wonder all the other seating is always taken, and all these 'make yourself look like an ungainly idiot' seats are always free in huge numbers. Please please please cafe ritazza, rethink your seating options. Not everyone is an 8ft tall gymnasts.

I’m a travelling Australian and got excited about some home-style food but this was so bad. The rice clumped together like it was days old, the kale was discoloured and the serving size was pitiful. Could have made something much better myself for far less than the £15 I paid for this and a mediocre chai. Service wasn’t even friendly. I’m only giving it 2 stars because I had a juice there a few days ago and it was pretty decent - otherwise it would have been a one. And - on the plus side it didn’t taste terrible but the rice was a bit suss.
