The Globe in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

It seems some of the reviews for this pub are actually for somewhere else...in the 40 or so times we have eaten at the Globe (always weekly sometimes twice a week) we never saw a Menu. The Globe serves fresh food once a week and it does the job. Good food good ale.

Went in when with the idea of a drink and being tempted by the menu as we were both famished. However, the place looked a little dishevelled (actually 'grotty' was our assessment) so the other half checked the Scores on the Doors. The Globe Inn, Upwell (yes, this pub - the one the landlord seems to imagine punters mistake for a totally different establishment; whenever they give a less than favourable Trip Advisor review) is rated by Environmental Health as 1 out of 5 - with little confidence in management. Nuff said. We left hungry, which has to be better than leaving with a food-borne infection. Take your chances at your own discretion.

La comida estaba bien, en realidad no podía quejarse demasiado y en un entorno encantador. Went for a drink with friends, it was quite late. The bar wasn't busy, but the barmaid, was chatting to friends. When we finally got served we asked for cocktails. They tasted like dishwater, expensive dishwater, not impressed.

One of the best steak's we have had in a long time. Great value, booking's only every Thursday. Fish & chips every Friday you won't find better any where else, great value. Duncan & Leslie make you feel welcome, really friendly pub.

The fish cooked here on a Friday (only) is better than any chip shop. Very good quality. Not a restaurant as such, a pub but probably the friendliest pub in the area

Este es mi segundo comentario para el mundo por los viernes pescado. Sólo he perdido una semana desde la noche comenzó a finales del verano. La comida sigue siendo de alta calidad, recién preparado y nunca decepciona. Es mejor reservar como las existencias de pescado fresco son limitados, pero hemos disfrutado de Sole, el abadejo, el bacalao, la solla, rape, gambas y calamares, regados con excelentes elgood ale o a un precio muy razonable. vino Mejor calidad en la zona.

Great freshly battered fish & chips, huge portions and a friendly atmosphere and hosts! Definitely a place to visit!!!

If you want good food at great prices try this small village pub in Upwell on the Norfolk/Cambs border. Meals at under seven pounds available on Fridays and some other evenings. Friendly pub offering best value for miles.

Excellent home-cooked fish and chips available Fridays and some other evenings at this village pub in Upwell. We've enjoyed skate and monkfish alongside the traditional cod and haddock. Excellent value for money and a super pint of Elgood's Cambridge on offer as well.
