The Glassworks Pub in Cardiff

Had a good pint of Guinness in here. They sell a lot of Guinness. It’s an ok place. Not really my style of place as I prefer the old traditional boozer and this is a more modern bar. Always people in there.

Staff were very friendly. Both myself and wife had steak and ale pie with mash and peas. Piping hot, and tasted fabulous. Very filling meal

Never been in here before , it's a good place to go to ,enjoyed my time there it's worth a visit 👍

Great pub, really good pub grub, can recommend the Steak & Ale pie and my wife likes the 1/2 chicken Sunday roast. Really good service, good TV screens for the sports. Good, friendly service.

Love popping in here for a drink with the wife while shopping or on a night out Never had food here so can't rate. Always has a great atmosphere and always receive a friendly service from the staff.

It's a nice pub but the food is terrible. Steak and ale pie was 80% pastry, 15% gravy and 4% onion and 1% meat. All the sharers were well overcooked, over seasoned and pretty horrible

This was a Greeneking redemption from our London visit. The Fish & Chips here were perfect and service was fantastic. Great pub. Enjoyed watching the six nations match, having a pint, and enjoying the food.

Amazing burger meal, fantastic service, always a great time!

Very happy with the food and staff, but I could not believe there was no BABY CHANGING facilities, when they cater for children at the restaurant. I was so disappointed, had to change my baby on a hard tiled floor with people walking in and out of the toilet. Very unhappy, I would have up and left but already ordered the food and payed for it.

I met up with a few ex work colleagues for a few drinks after they finished work. The service there is polite, the prices are average for a Cardiff City center venue, but it has a lovely chilled atmosphere there.

Nice ambience. Well laid out but lots of steps inside and toilets are in the basement. Couldn't see any disabled facilities. Food was ok, lots of choice

Booked a table during our stay in Cardiff to have food and drinks while the Ireland match was on. Got a lovely table with televisions all around the bar. Ordered food which was really tasty. I had a burger with a gluten free bun and John had the steak & ale pie. Reasonably priced and we really enjoyed our few drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only complaint we would make would be the toilets, they could be a little bit nicer. Maybe a small refurb at some stage.

There's always a good vibe to this place, the only issue i experienced is the bar gets very busy so you may be waiting a while for that pint. Good people, good ambiance, well worth a visit

When I went we only had drinks. But the food that was being delivered tables look very inviting.

On 30 December at evening(5-6pm) Me , My wife and friends called for a drink The Glassworks Cardiff and a table inside as it was busy day. My dog followed me partly through the door as he'd slipped his lead (he's only 11 months old) however he was quickly spooked by another dog who darted towards him unexpectedly. I ordered 4 drinks and food for Me, Mrs and our friends sat inside, our dog continued to bark quite a lot and within 2 minutes, a lady member of staff came out and spoke to us in a very rude way, saying "if your dog doesn't stop barking, I'll ask you to leave". After 5 minutes she back again told us leave please. We all left pub after the she told us you need to leave and food and drinks left on the table . The dog friendly pub it certainly isn't. I emailed to pub about issues and Glassworks Leon accused me of lying.

We went to Glassworks based on the TripAdvisor reviews, and to get some good pub food. I had the steak and ale pie which was AMAZING! My wife went for the Welsh rarebit burger and loved it! Would definitely return!

Loved it. Met friends there for Xmas beers. Laughed the whole time i was there. Great atmosphere, great fun, friendly staff. 8 oldies having a blast, reminding ourselves we might still have it... but probably not. Definitely recommend. Did not have food so can't score.

Very average or slightly lower than average,no real ales, terrible live music,not a place I'm likely to visit again,staff good, but drink selection poor,and as for the live music,dire!

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and a drink. We ended up staying all night. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome. Dan, you're music selection was awesome.

Meeting friends for shopping trip and lunch and someone suggested the Glassworks as they had enjoyed an evening there recently. So glad they did! Delicious lunch in a really chilled environment. We had the sharing plates which were amazing especially the garlic prawns. One of the nicest lunches I've enjoyed for ages. The staff were friendly and Morris especially looked after us. Can't wait to back.

I'm from Dublin and it's hard to find a good pint of Guinness in Cardiff but I tell you what - this place has the silkiest, most dreamy pint of Guinness you're likely to find anywhere. Slainte!

Nice and relaxed place to enjoy a few drinks with friends. Busy, but not so much that you can't get a place to sit. Enjoyable atmosphere!

Great buffet food and drinks on a Christmas doo

Regular here for drinks in the afternoon and evenings. But went there today for lunch with my wife. Chose the steak pie with mash. Very poor pie was just full of gravy, could count on 1 hand small pieces of so called steak. Mash was like warm and mushy peas were cold. Also the pub was cold. Always a good pint there but certainly need to improve the quality of the food they serve.

Pub très sympa, avec une bonne ambiance : à la fois du monde chaleureux et assez tranquille pour pouvoir discuter. J’ai goûté le fish & chips, c’était délicieux, et il y a un large choix de boissons, notamment un bon choix d’au moins 10 gins différents !

This was our second visit to this establishment the atmosphere was good the service was efficient would not hesitate to return.

I've been to The Glassworks many times over the years, and have always enjoyed it. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and well priced. There is a great selection of beer and wine. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting Cardiff or a local.

Nothing special, just run of mill franchise, beer not the best Guinness bloody awful. Avoid

Visited for the first time on Saturday afternoon and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Nice chilled atmosphere, good beers and excellent food - we can certainly recommend the steak and ale pie and the scampi which were both superb! We look forward to our next visit!

Beautiful welcoming bar, gorgeous food and excellent service. Myself and my mother came across this little jewel and decided to have some lunch in there. So glad we did, definitely be back.

Loved it. This was our first visit to Glassworks, we've had it on our list to try and I'm glad we did. We only had a drink and a snack but we will definitely return for a meal or roast. Comfortable chairs with plenty of windows, light and bright. The bartender was friendly. I'm sad to say I can't remember his name but he had the most unusual hair. We highly recommend and we will be back

Honestly, as the first place we ended up in Cardiff before our gig, the staff were second to none, but the person who I believe was in charge even remembered we went to concert and asked us about it after, the lad who was on from I assume 1pm to 1am, and the lad with the leopard hair. You left us feeling very welcomed in Cardiff. Highly recommend

It's A great Pub/restaurant. The food is very unique and tasty compared to other pubs/restaurants I've been to before. The service is brilliant. I definitely would recommend having food here. But It does tend to be a bit loud, that might just be because there is a football game on.

We went in for lunch and ordered 3 of their lunch deals which are supposed to be £10 each and £11 if ordering an alcoholic drink. For some reason the bill came to £29 and when the food arrived 1 meal was missing, they then changed us a fether £11 for the extra meal. The total bill came to £40 when it should have been £32, very bad service for such a big chain.

I went to the Jam arranged by friend it was brill,space was the nice part of this venue as a lcal drummer so many places are crammed,hope to return soon.

Glassworks was the ultimate lunchtime find. Amazing burger and a beer for £10. I was pleasantly surprised at the burger and I told my mates to try it out!

Nice enough pub with different sections and vibes, whether you’re wanting a drink at the bar or a meal as a couple. The range of drinks on offer is really good with some more unique choices and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. Everywhere is clean, prices are good and for a pleasant drink off the main high street I’ll be returning.
