The Gipsy Moth in Greenwich

We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon and the place was very busy! Really large garden with multiple spaces to sit in if you want the sun or not. Great views of the Cutty Sark too. Food was absolutely lovely, service was quick and friendly given how busy they was. Definitely recommend.

What an amazing space they have out in the garden! Lots of spaces to pick from with a mix of covered and not for the sunshine. I had one of the pizzas and it was very tasty and served quickly. Very well organised place.

Fantastic fish and chips right next to the Cutty Sark. Lovely beer garden and very spacious. Highly recommend this place for good beer, spritz and traditional pub food. The service is also very friendly and they welcome lots of cute dogs.

I visited Gipsy Moth last evening. The overall experience was amazing and I really liked the food too. Akshar made sure to bring all the food and drinks on time !

Huge garden restaurant with DIY ordering through a qr code on each table. Usually I loathe self ordering though given the vastness of this place, it worked well. The ham hock, chicken and leek pie and veg was exactly that. Nothing special but ok. Left the pastry uneaten. Could do better at home. It was the sunny day, joyful atmosphere and being next to the Cutty Sark that made it fantastic. Decent though very busy staff.

Extremely busy and hard to get service, signal is sketchy when ordering to tables, and they are very often booked, especially in the outside areas, cheaper and less busy options are readily available nearby, food is alright though

Had a great day out in Greenwich on Saturday and finished it off with some drinks in this cracking boozer. I was astonished at how well the team worked in such busy conditions - shout out to Will behind the bar who had a great vibe (even though he supports Arsenal). Excited to return with the sun making regular appearances!

We had a wonderful experience at The Gipsy Moth. The atmosphere was warm, cheerful, and inviting, with tasteful decor and a well-kept environment. The food was delicious and of high quality, all at a reasonable price. A special mention to Aksshar, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful, contributing to the overall great service.

The place has such a positive and cozy vibe, with stylish decor and a clean, well-maintained setting. The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, high-quality, and reasonably priced. What really stood out was the service. Aksshar was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well looked after. The only thing we would have appreciated was being offered condiments with our meal, but overall, it was a lovely dining experience thanks to Aksshar and the rest of the team.

The staff, especially Aksshar, were great—friendly and helpful throughout. The Gipsy Moth has a warm, welcoming vibe with lovely decor. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Drinks were a bit on the pricier side, but the Pornstar Martini was excellent. Would love to see a Piña Colada on the menu and be offered condiments with meals.

Most of the food was great and our 1 issue was dealt with and taken off our bill. Bruno, our server was great and kindly helped us with a birthday cake that we bought for the birthday girl. Very efficient service

I keep bringing clients here for working lunches and it is the perfect venue. Great place for relaxed and productive meetings. Staff are great. Food always excellent. Good selection of wines and beers. Rosie C always makes us feel very welcome with her attentive, but never overbearing service.

AVOID AVOID THE CHICKEN. If I could give the food a 0 star I would! I had the chicken Milanese and have since for the past three days been battling Salmonella poisoning. I have never been so sick in my life. The rest of my family had issues with food being cold and not served correctly. Absolute shambles of a kitchen team.

The garden is the top spot for summer in Greenwich, plenty of tables and space and an absolute sun trap. Amazing!

Went for lunch and had chicken pie and partner had Burger. They were cold and pretty tasteless and felt sick afterwards. Felt like a rip off for over £40 we paid. Also if you order food order at the bar otherwise they will charge you 10% service charge for non existent human interaction. Had to chase staff around for water and didn't know how to order as hadn't been there in a while. The location is good and beer garden is lovely however its catered to unknowing tourists. As a local it was just ok and super disappointing. In past we've had pizza and it seemed that most people were ordering that so maybe they put more care into those. Don't see myself returning here again sadly which is diappointing as a local. Would recommend Davy's wine bar down the road near Greenwich station as cheaper and better quality food.

They didn’t appear to have enough people working the bar as there were quite long waits for the drinks and the prices were extortionate. I paid £7.20 for a bottle of cider, which hurt but I wasn’t particularly surprised by given the location but then I decided to have a half pint of Diet Coke (from their soda tap btw) and it cost £3.70. Which puts a pint of coke at £7.40. Ridiculous that they are charging more for the rubbish that comes out a tap than for alcohol which they have to pay a tax on

Booked here for Mothers Day as a delicious roast was advertised however by the time we had our reservation at 5:30 all the roast dinners were gone. Appreciate it was a busy day but we booked here specifically for the location and the roast. Ordered a pie and mash instead, asked for some extra vegetables to compensate for the no roasts left however the waitress spoke to the manager on the day who refused (disappointing). I only wanted some carrots lol! The pie barely had any filling either and my plate looked empty 😂 Drinks are expensive but that is to be expected for the location.

We came here for a memorial lunch with a group of around 15. The pub itself is in a great spot, and the interior is lovely—clearly well looked after. The manager was helpful and accommodating, but unfortunately, most of us were disappointed with the food. One portion of fish had to be sent back and replaced, and overall the quality just didn’t match the prices. The chips tasted frozen, and the fish didn’t seem fresh either. A real shame, as the setting and staff are great—but the food was well below average for what we paid.

Food was great here and so were drinks! The beer garden is huge and super lovely in the sunny weather.

The Gipsy Moth used to be our favourite roast dinner and food in greenwich, however they recently have done a refurb and changed all the menu. The majority of food no longer gets made fresh on site but purchased in frozen. Much more commercial rather than authentic pub food. Our server was very good and confirmed the same. It is no longer worth the money and you feel short changed. Unfortunately we will not be coming back - such a shame.

I had a really pleasant experience here. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was cosy. The food was great, especially the Sunday Roast, I had the beef, delicious. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to others.

Cozy restaurant with beautiful decor! Friendly service and handled allergies well (really checked). Very tasty meal. We had the fish & chips, the linguine and the chicken Milanese (schnitzel). Good price and quality ratio.

We had our 1st date here 10 years ago and recently returned to celebrate our anniversary. The staff really made a fuss of us and even gave us a free drink each. Roast lamb was very nice and portions were very generous.

We were served by Emily who was great! Super nice, quick and friendly! 10/10. Roast itself was meh, we ordered a sharer- Meats were quite nice but the trimmings were not good, we had to ask for potatoes to be replaced as they were burnt/inedible, also we only had 1 pig in blanket (which was just a pig, no blanket), parsnips and carrots were dry... I don't think I'd be back for food, but nice place for drinks and good service

Excellent food and service, we went on a Sunday and tried the Sunday roast. Delicious! I recommend it!

The staff are friendly. I tried ordering using the code on the table, but I noticed that the order was slower than those who order from the staff. The atmosphere outside is very wonderful. They provide pillows for your comfort while sitting on the wooden chairs outside. They also provide blankets in a very cute way when you feel cold.

Really nice pub. Shame their choice of gins was limited, especially in this day and age.

The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The Gipsy Moth has a lovely welcoming happy atmosphere, well maintained establishment with nice decor. Very tasty, quality food which was reasonably priced, would have liked to have been offered condiments with the meal when served. They made a great pornstar martini, I’d love to see a pina colada on the cocktail menu, drink prices were slightly higher than I personally like to pay but not extortionate. The toilets were lovely and clean, nicely decorated. The outside seating area is very good, mostly covered with giant umbrellas, comfortable seating, outdoor electric heating, fire heaters , the blankets are a great touch, very cosy.

Great Sunday roast and selection of drinks. The renovation has lifted the Gypsy Moth to the next level for the area. The beer garden is still one of the best, especially with heating and cover (when needed). Very attentive and friendly staff.

Whenever I visit this pub I make sure to be served by Martha, she is always very knowledgeable about all the beers on tap and she gives you little tasters:)

£7.90 for a pint. A 3/10 (at a push) pizza. Honestly what’s the point. Refurb all you like, still a crap pub.

Very nice place, used to be my favourite spot when I lived in Greenwich but the bar person today was quite rude, they directed us to the other side of the bar and ignored us. A couple people came in after us and they started serving them instead of us.

Well kept ale, the food was inoffensive but on the pricy side, the staff needed calling over from their chat to serve me, and the front door closes with a bang - which was especially irritating during the delivery that went on while we were there. Stunning location though, and the drinks were reasonably priced considering.

We booked and glad we did as it was very busy. They were all super friendly and helpful and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. I enjoyed the lamb but it was a little overcooked. Husband loved his crumble pudding very much! Would highly recommend if you’re in Greenwich.

Great pub !!!! Visited here on Fri 7th Feb 2025 for just drinks....or that's what we planned. We had a disabled person with us,a young lady helped us to get him a suitable chair and told us where the disabled toilets were...very helpful and friendly welcome. The food coming out looked fantastic so we decided to eat...so glad we did. Delicious food, pudding and drinks and very friendly staff including Signe who we had a nice chat to. Thanks for a great visit....will definitely come here again.

I visited The Gipsy Moth on a recent trip to london, I found the staff were both friendly and helpful. I will be visiting again the next time I’m in the area.

Great pub! Great atmosphere! Clean and welcoming. The staff were wonderful. Particularly the bartender, Kirsten. She was very knowledgeable, quick and efficient.

In the afternoon they don't serve at the table, if you want to drink or eat you have to go and get it inside

The pub is nice, the service is average and veggie burgers were the only veg main dish available the day I went to dine there, the burger was good though but the choices for vegan/vegetarian are limited. Wide beer/Ales variety and the Cocktails are decent, below a picture of a porn star martini garnished with dry raspberries

Proper pub in an iconic London location, beer garden is cracking on a sunny day. Shouts to Anna for the fab service every time I’m there!

It really does not get better than this! 😃 Felt the need to come back because of how great it was last time and I was certainly not disappointed!! Upon going for the Fish and Chips last time I prompted for the Pork Belly this time and blimey- It was even better!!!! As with the atmosphere, despite it being decently busy: our server, Anna, made time for us, served us promptly and consistently checked in on how we were doing. Once again I would recommend The Gipsy Moth to anyone interested 😊
