Bartender was great. Food server wasn’t. Fish and chips was meh. Cocktails were good. Nice atmosphere

Mixed experience really. No denying it is in a great location in wonderful Greenwich. My issue though is with the service, we've visited this pub a few times with the last time being a few days ago and it's a problem we have encountered before. We stand at the bar and wait...and wait.., now if it was busy I could understand it but we are the only people waiting to be served and we are ignored for almost 5 mins until my partner has had enough and we leave. I work in hospitality so appreciate that the staff may be busy but an acknowledgement to our presence would be nice. A quick "we'll be with you shortly" or any other gesture would be nice but instead we just stand there. Maybe we should have gone straight to a table and just ordered from there, I don't know but because of my experience in hospitality and how I was trained in greeting customers at all points I just felt underwelmed and disappointed. A shame because it is a nice place generally.

It’s amazing meals and drinks especially to go out with friends or family members and the atmosphere are great and I love the big trees at the back of the garden, I always sit in there and hug the trees at anytime when I’m going to there and all staffs are nice, kind and friendly and they never bullying you or harassing you or annoying you and I love that way to have a peaceful time with myself and eating my meals with peace without anyone around me annoying me I love peace.

For my birthday in 2023, i was given a 30-pound voucher to use for a round of drinks. I had only visited twice before. It's just incredible and special. Now, in 2024, another 30-pound voucher. So lucky :)

Best experience hands down in all of Greenrich. Not only that, they have the best cocktail in London, the pornstar. Trust me. Not pictures but the Fish & Chips are also very delightful. Highly recommend for friendly service, good drinks, and a special vibe in the atmosphere.

I love the whole vibe, the decor and atmosphere is fabulous, large menu choice, very hard to choose as it all sounded amazing! Have been a couple of times and each time the food is amazing! Really good quality and super quick service

Went for a Sunday roast. Extremely busy but in spite of this the service was generally good - a mistake with our order was quickly rectified. The starters were nice, the roast was ok. The pork belly was not the best - no crackling but the meat was tough. The roast potatoes and Yorkshires could have been better. I did enjoy the soy taste to the greens though.

Booked a table of 6,online only available time 4.15,arrived around 2.30 for a few drinks and brouse the menu,looked like lots of people being given tables without any bookings,which was surprising as we would have preferred a earlier time. 4pm went through and gave them our booking reservation,ordered drinks,at the table, drinks arrived and we were asked what we would like to order,at this point we were told that there were no roast dinners left at all,on a Sunday really!!! At 4.15.the roast comprises of 40% of the main courses, the server them informed us if you would like the roast advised us to book between 12am and 1pm a whole 1 hour window to get a roast dinner.what is the point of booking a table if the chef runs out of Sunday dinner with in an hour of opening,might as well off sent the kitchen team home with what was left on the menu to order from. Waste of time and money if the chef can't evan order enough roast on a Sunday,running out of one roast ok but all of them.tried to add pigs in blankets to order and cauliflower cheese as a side,guess what did not have Sides available sold out,I felt sorry for the service staff having to tell customers most of menu missing at 4pm. Chef needs to sort how he organises his kitchen and not to put service staff under such embarrassing situations!!!

My wife and I have been here on a Sunday for the roast . We have been welcomed and serviced by Monica , she has been unique . Her service was impeccable! Food was exquisite!

This is a very nice pub with great food! I went for a Sunday roast and it was really good! The crumble is also delicious and it's the perfect way to end your meal!

Nice busy pub by the Cutty Sark with outside area, had ran out of Guiness on my visit but the Camden Stout offered as an alternative was very good!

Really enjoyed the pub, the outdoor area is so nice on a lovely day. Cocktails are delicious and the menu is also great.

A bit of a tourist trap but still the service was good and the staff friendly. We managed to find a table, have a few drinks and enjoy the atmosphere.

Steak and chips was just OK - gravy was too salty and there was also a lot of salt (???) in the water cress salad side

Enjoyed the chicken schnitzel. The gentleman who took our order was very though and took care of allergies within the group. Stron selection of beers, hard to choose out of a selection of bangers

Our waitress was great with my allergies. And I am also very grateful to the chefs making the King Prawn & Crab Linguine special without cream! Proves everything is cooked fresh and it was absolutely delicious.

Came in this recent Sunday and was served by Sophie behind the bar who was really attentive to my dietary needs and made me feel very accommodated , and made the best round of cocktails !! Will be coming back after this amazing service

Me and my family had a lovely experience this afternoon at the gipsy moth, we opted to sit in the garden as all though the weather is getting colder the upper garden of the pub has multiple heaters and even blankets so we were all very toasty, even with it being an obviously busier point of the day for staff all of those who interacted with us were lovely! Joel seated us and cleared our table while Rosie took our food & drinks orders and both were extremely helpful even while catering to other tables!

Really disappointed, booked a table for 7 for 14:00 on a Sunday the pub setting was nice and is somewhere we have popped in for a few drinks in the past and always thought we will try this for a meal one day. My wife arrived ahead of the rest of us with my three children she had to find a member of staff to show her where our table for 7 was reserved the person who seated her suggested she pull two tables together which she had to do herself the out door heaters wasn’t working so she was given one blanket for a table of 7 to use. I arrived and she hadn’t been approached for drinks or menus, the staff looked visibly overwhelmed by the work load I don’t know if they was short staffed and I’m not blaming the staff but they wasn’t able to be attentive. We decided to order drinks from the QR code for table service 10mins later our drinks still hadn’t arrived I went into the bar to see what was happening and eventually managed to get the drinks sent out. When they finally arrived we asked the staff member if we could please order food and she kindly got a college to approach the table to take our order, now remember this is Sunday so we are looking to get a roast it’s 14:30 I ask for three roast chicken dinners to start and was told there is no roast chicken only 1 pork belly and 2 beef left we are a table of 7 the staff member did double check and with the kitchen and came back with the same disappointing answer. We left very very disappointed and won’t be returning I’m afraid, we actually went to the Spanish Galleon across the road was warmly greeted and seated almost immediately despite how busy it was the staff where very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us and to make our day had plenty of roast dinner selections that where absolutely delicious, so in the end it was a happy outcome and we have found a be local for our friends and family Sunday dinners. Also wanted to add that even if it is technically legal to smoke outside it is basically a covered area, to have Ashtrays on every table and people smoking around food and family’s with children is t a great set up.

Beautiful Pub, and a great finish to our afternoon at the Cutty Sark. We sat outside to take advantage of the sunshine and do some people watching. Rosie, our server was very professional and attentive, and convinced my wife (wasn't hard mind you) to have the Belgian Choc Brownie which did not disappoint, this was after sharing the Chorizo Sausages for a starter, then the Chicken, Smoked Bacon & Avocado Caesar Salad. No need for dinner that night let me tell you. Service (thanks Rosie) Food, and Atmosphere was excellent, and we will definitely be back when next in London.

Excellent location and great food. We were served by the lovely Rosie, who created us with smiles and helped my boyfriend with the menu. It’s the perfect place to meet a friend before heading out as it’s right next to the Cutty Sark so easy to find. There’s a great beer garden too (if it’s not raining).

Food was great but it was the service that really stood out for us. Rosie, our server was very attentive and made sure our order was as we wanted. Even reassuring us about vegan options. The pub atmosphere is perfect and much nicer place to spend time than others nearby!! We will be returning when next in the area!

Came here with my partner last night. Had a few starters- King Prawns, Fried chicken and delicious Parmesan fries. Joel served us and he was very attentive and friendly! Food was hot and tasty! Thanks for a lovely evening to the team there.

Came here with friends and family on Sunday and had an amazing roast dinner. The pork was delicious and my mum loved the chicken. Massive props to the chef and the rest of the team for making us feel so welcome. The bartender Will (great name) was very helpful with choosing our drinks. Will be back again soon!

This restaurant has the enviable spot of being right by the river in the heart of Greenwich. The food was good and the service was fine. Smoking outside on the tables was annoying but I get it. Smokers have to eat too.

What a shame ! Looks like a nice place BUT no waiter what so ever so you have to order with the QRcode on the table and you have to pay BEFORE having anything to drink or eat. Sorry but I’ve never seen anything like this, paying before eating is not a good sign. And worst, we thought we paid, and we waited 30+ minutes and the lady behind the bar said “oh no we don’t have any orders at your table and the kitchen is clothing in 5 minutes so I can’t do anything for you” ! Very disappointed . Again I’ve NEVER payed BEFORE eating.

A lovely pub with a decent amount of seating. I had a lovely charity cocktail for £5, spiced peach and pineapple spritz, but my boyfriend had a Neck Oil shandy for £7.85!?!? Even for London standards that seems high!

Went there yesterday after the Big Half with my family. We were served by Bruno, who was brilliant. Really warm and welcoming, and was happy to help accommodate a dog and a high chair for us. Lovely service, lovely man!

Great afternoon spent in the beautiful beer garden with friends. Lovely atmosphere with the half marathon on. Food was delicious. I had a couple of small plates and was full. others had roasts and chicken. Staff were very busy but still very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

I attended this beautiful pub with my family after we visited the Cutty Sark, which sits next door. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere relaxed, making it an ideal place for families/friends to eat or just have a drink. The food was very tasty and the portions were very good. Will definitely return.

Fantastic meal all round - food is amazing, service fab and just a really nice place to be. Even though it was packed and the staff were busy, they were always attentive and happy to help. Big shout out in particular to Ash the manager and to Amy who served us - you won’t find better.

Went with a group of friends for Sunday lunch in summer - beautiful outdoor setting next to the Cutty Sark, great service and they do a cracking beef sirloin. Highly recommend.

Looks like a nice pub, nice decor and pleasant beer garden. Well situated to be ideal as a meeting place. Doormen/security are too quick to throw dirty looks and act like they don’t want people in the pub. Escorted in from the beer garden at 8.50pm by a doorman wagging his finger at me and pointing back towards the pub as if I was 18 years old. Shame as it spoiled the atmosphere and the experience and won’t be returning.

The food was kind of ok but the dessert was really bad. Brownie was like a stone and when I asked if was supposed to be like that the answer was that probably no and the waitress wasn’t sure if they would replace it as it was not much left on the plate(obviously was the half as it was kid’s portion so portions are smaller). Also we’ve been asked to pay in advance and we didn’t see the actual bill which I believe is not right, especially cause there was service included that is always optional.I didn’t want to make a fuss at the time especially because when I asked to split it in a certain way seemed to be impossible. I only don’t give one star cause the place was beautiful and the waitress was really kind.
