Good food and hospitality! We had a lovely lunch with beer at this cosy traditional pub in Greenwich. My husband and I shared an apple and celeriac soup, BLT (English bacon is amazing) and chicken and leek pie! The food was lovely, there's a good selection of beer on tap and the staff were very friendly!

We spent a wonderful evening in this small and friendly pub. The staff is really nice, the cuisine is good and fresh - and the portions are more than generous. A nice etape !

This beautiful pub opened in 1691! It's cozy and quaint and even has a resident "pub cat". The Sunday roasts are INCREDIBLE, as are the other menu items. It has a lovely outdoor back garden and the staff are super. Definitely check it out!

Such a wonderful place, with amazing food and the loveliest of people. Try the apple and celeriac soup, if you are lucky for it to be the soup of the day! We had a wonderful time and the staff made sure my friends birthday was legendary!

Great spot for a fabulous Sunday roast. Nice and cosy, bumping atmosphere and really good food. Gluten free options for roast as well. Service was also really friendly.

Escondido en las calles traseras de Greenwich hay un acogedor pub tradicional que ofrece un sólido asado de domingo. El personal es amable, atractivo y helfpul y nada es demasiado problema para ellos. Dado el tamaño de bijou del pub, saben cómo administrar bien el espacio! El local se divide en un bar en la parte delantera con chimenea y un comedor más formal en la parte trasera. También hay una cervecería para el verano. La cocina ofrece una gama de alimentos que probablemente tenga un precio correcto para Londres en 2024. Como grupo de 5 , decidimos visitar un domingo durante la hora punta. Nuestra mesa estaba lista a tiempo, nuestros pedidos se entregaron rápidamente (alrededor de 12 - 15 minutos después del pedido) y el personal estaba encantado de configurar una pestaña y mantener la apariencia fluida. ¡Fue una ocasión encantadora que no podía fallar! Recomiendo encarecidamente reservar con antelación si quieres probar algo del menú, ya que no creo que este lugar nunca tiene un momento tranquilo!

Con una impresionante selección de cervezas artesanales y cócteles, es el lugar perfecto tanto para bebidas casuales como para salir por la noche. Muy recomendable para cualquiera que busque calidad, carácter y buen rollo.

The food and beer were very tasty, the pub owners are very accommodating. I'd love to come back!

A lovely pub opposite Greenwich Park and a short walk from Greenwich Market (it is in a small side street). It was fairly busy for 1.30pm on a Friday, a mix of drinkers and diners. This is a larger pub than you imagine when you enter, what with an additional room at the rear and a lovely, spacious beer garden. They had 4 cask beers and I ordered a very nice Harvey's at £5.90. Every two weeks they hold a quiz. From what I could see the whisky selection was quite limited. The service was very good, very attentive staff. In summary, well worth a visit.

One of the best veggie burgers and fries I’ve had in a long time - halloumi and red pepper. My wife enjoyed the chicken burger sourced from Drings in West Greenwich. A bustling characterful pub close to Greenwich Park. If you want a table in restaurant, best to phone ahead as it gets very busy, but there are also tables where you can dine in the bar.

Old fashioned pub scene, lovely food, good atmosphere

This was my local pub ten years ago. I visited recently and was pleased to see that it's still a lovely, traditional London boozer. They have a good mix of well-kept ales, including the excellent Harvey's Best, and efficient bar staff pouring pints. The only downside was a dank/musty smell that hits you as you enter. I'm guessing it's the carpet; since it pervades the whole bar. I hope this isn't the start of a more general decline. I wouldn't recommend the food, but that's not really what this sort of pub is about.

Really lovely food, the Sunday roast was delicious and a great size portion and puddings were yummy too. Staff were attentive and friendly and I also loved the music :) will definitely be back!

Top notch experience! Really good Sunday roast and massive, too! I didn't eat that evening. This is how full I still was from lunch!

Myself and two mates had Sunday Lunch here today. We reserved a table and glad we did as it was full. We received a warm welcome and had regular brief check ups. Two of us had the roast pork and one the chicken. For dessert we had sticky toffee puddings and an Eton Mess. Everything morsel was delicious. A few drinks too. Total came to £125 inc tip. Three satisfied customers.

Excellent local pub in Greenwich, cosy and friendly, with added cat! Oh.. and beer is excellent too. Sadly, no food on Tuesday but apparently highly rated.

Almorzamos en el soleado jardín de cerveza y no puedo encontrar falta con nada. El personal era muy amable y la camarera me hizo saber rápidamente que la comida que pedí no estaba disponible y me dio opciones alternativas - mimado para la elección, así que no hay problemas. Lo volvería a visitar si en la zona.

I’ve been to this pub several times over the years, and it’s always been a wonderful place to visit. A proper pub, with friendly welcoming service, great food and a lovely selection of beers. We had table service from a lovely member of staff (if the manager is reading this, she was a tall blond woman, slightly cruel hair, a few tattoos on her arms) who was very attentive, friendly and professional. Food was great, had nachos, fries, onions rings and a salad, all were wonderful. Cooked perfectly and excellent quality. I can’t knock this place and really wish it was my local!!

What a great pub. We had fish and chips and calamari and a couple of drinks. The staff were lovely, the serving was quite large and it was a beautiful piece of fish. It was quieter than going into Greenwich itself. Less tourists. A nice local.

Stopped in for a Sunday lunch and had a wonderful experience. The staff particularly were the friendliest of any pub I've been to in London. The food is excellent as well!

Lovely pub with delicious food. Staff couldn't be friendlier. Service was quick and they were happy to accomodate my change to the salad. We had the veggie Wellington and The Police Escort burger, both of which were freshly cooked and very tasty. Great atmosphere too!

It is a great place that is a must to visit when in Greenwich. The beer was great and in good condition. The Sunday roast looked amazing, especially the roasties . Will have to try them next time.

We only drank here and the Harvey's bitter was excellent as was the service. We sat in the pleasant back garden and look forward to revisiting ASAP.

Lovely unspoilt back street pub

Smashing gammon, egg and chip. Lovely barstaff and management. Of course, a beautiful old world pub. Absolute gem of a place in Greenwich.

Overall atmosphere was good, and a nice selection of beers. Felt the food was very average. The roast wasn’t anything special, both the beef and roast potatoes weren’t great. I’ve definitely had much better in other pubs.

Going to "The Plume" is like seeing an old friend, small things change but essentially the best bits remain. Fortunate because I met an old friend there and we quaffed excellent Harveys bitter and lager, eating well off of their seasonally changing menu. They are still misguided in their football affilliation, but that aside it's a well kept, well run pub and worth a visit to recharge after a brisk walk in the park.Recent managers installed who love the pub and don't see the need to change anything. Held a wake there and food excellent with great service. Sad to say that the grumpy cat is getting on and has become grumpier. DO NOT TRY TO PET HIM (although he has always been good with me).

Found this place via Google, excellent find. A proper pub atmosphere, with very friendly and helpful staff, good selections of ales and beers, beer garden out back, I had the Police Burger with chunky chips n onion rings, all was excellent. Will be back when back in the area.👍

Lovely local vibe here with smiling faces sharing a meal or a few pints, happily sitting reading a newspaper. Other patrons were very friendly as well. Escape the more touristy and overpriced pubs for something a bit more authentic.

We really enjoyed our visit. There is plenty of space for seating. The staff were friendly and service was quick. The food we ordered was all amazing and a good portion. It is dog friendly but no cat. There is free tap water that you can help yourself with. I tried cider and it was one of the best ciders that I have drank. We will go back for sure and take our dog with us next time!

Fantastic pub in Greenwich away from all the expensive tourist traps. Always made to feel very welcome and their food is always very tasty. Also has a lovely garden to the rear which is a lovely sun trap.

Authentic pub with a super Sunday roast

We were visiting our son on New cross and went for a walk in Greenwich. Went to plum of feathers for lunch. What a meal! All enjoyed, one of thebest burgers, wife loved fish and chips, my son loved his haloumi burger. Bill £62. Fantastic value for money. Will be visiting again. Best pub in Greenwich!

Stumbled across this beautiful pub overlooking Greenwich Park. Visited 11/04/24 and was greeted and made to feel welcome. Decor was lovely and the beer selection was excellent. Had a little accident with a spillage (wild phone case) and the staff reacted very professionally. Will definitely pop back here soon when next local, defiantly on my radar🫶

Neighborhood pub, not on the Thames, so authentic, not tourist-y. Mushroom risotto delicious. Well worth seeking out after visit to Observatory.

Great little place! The best thing about it is the way people come and go and just talk with eachother and have a good laugh, even if they never met before! The decor is nice and cozy, same as the fireplace and the comfortable sofa! I only wish we could have had some pub food there but they weren't serving that night.

This is a "proper pub" in all the best ways. Would recommend to tourists and locals alike. They do an excellent Sunday roast - just like your mum used to make.

Highly recommend this pub - we visited Greenwich Maritime Museum as a family of 9 (Grandparents, parents and 3 kids) with no plans for lunch. Found this pub online and it was about a 3 min walk from the museum. Felt hidden away on a back street and it wasn't busy (Friday afternoon, term time) but we were welcomed immediately. They opened up the back area for a large table and gave us a heater as they hadn't been heating it that morning. Great food menus for kids and adults, and open to changes (ie chips instead of mash). All of the staff were really friendly and the food was definitely freshly cooked, burgers were homemade and really tasty. I don't know what I was expecting from a quiet backstreet pub in London but this surpassed all expectations. It also has a lovely little garden for the summer. I would definitely dine here again, in fact I never get round to leaving reviews but wanted to because the food here was so great.

Hidden away in a back street of Greenwich between the park and the Woolwich Road is this traditional pub. Unlike most pubs in Greenwich this is not one frequented by too many tourists and has more of a community and local feel. The walls are full of local history and there is a bit more interaction with the bar staff. A nice little place that seems popular but not overly loud. A pub with a warm feel to it. I had a pint for a very reasonable £5.20 so no complaints re prices either.

Without wishing to sound like an old git (though I am one), this is the way pubs should be. Friendly staff, good beer, a fire in the grate and a warm, welcoming atmosohere... in short, a proper pub. Went in for a beer on a winter Saturday afternoon and it was perfect.

My son & I recently stayed in Greenwich doing some decorative work on a nearby flat & we visited the Plume on a number of occassions. I have been calling here for many years whenever I stay in the Greenwich area & hope to do so again in future. There are almost always 3 if not 4 different beers on handpump one of which is always Harveys Sussex Best & usualy a Wansum Brew.. It has been run by James & his Mum Sue for quite sometime & both went out of their way to welcome us & to assist in ensuring that their back room TV screen could show a particular football game on BBC iPlayer.. There is a good pub quiz on Wednesday nights. The pub is also well known for its good food particularly Sunday Lunch & it is advisable to book in advance.

Amazing establishment, the Plume of Feathers is a cosy pub just beside Greenwich Park that is well worth a visit, the staff and landlady are a pleasure to engage with, the atmosphere in the pub itself is wonderful, the food and drinks are top quality and there is a lovely garden to sit in, if you have ever been there im sure you would agree and if not then I suggest you give the Plume of Feathers a try. Lovely pub, reasonably priced for the area. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food. A nice open fire at the front of the pub adds to the welcoming atmosphere.

A proper pub. Well kept beer. Friendly staff. The Beef and Guinness stew was delicious! Meat that just fell apart on your tongue, carrots, parsnips, onions and big tasty dumplings.
