Ye Olde Rose & Crown in Greenwich

Popped in for a cheeky pint… left four hours later emotionally healed, slightly tipsy, and with a firm belief that Daisy should be knighted. She’s the barmaid of dreams – equal parts sass, wisdom, and precision-poured cocktails. I watched her shake a margarita while mediating a break-up AND still remembered I wanted it salt-rimmed. Witchcraft. Meanwhile, Hazel is out here doing Olympic-level table service, gliding between groups like a caffeinated swan. I blinked and my pint was full. I sneezed and she handed me a napkin. I mentioned I liked olives once and she materialised them. Nathan runs the joint like a sparkly navy admiral – firm but fabulous. The man could coordinate a moon landing with a clipboard and a glitter pen. Jay is always on the ball – I swear he teleports. One second he’s clearing glasses, the next he’s DJing Madonna remixes like it’s a spiritual duty. And don’t even get me started on Helga in the kitchen. This woman makes chips so good I’d marry them. If gravy had a religion, she’d be the high priestess. 10/10 will return. Might propose to the jukebox. Might legally change my name to Happy Hour.

Our local pub that we love visiting for the friendly welcoming atmosphere. Great music and shows are the icing in the cake. Highly recommend.

The Rose & Crown is one of the friendliest gay pubs in London with brilliant food served in generous portions. Tuesday nights are a highlight with drag sensation Miss Aisles hosting bingo or a quiz. The staff are always welcoming and helpful.

A charming, gay-friendly pub with a cozy atmosphere and standard pub fare. It’s a nice spot to bring your dog and grab a casual meal, with prices that are relatively reasonable. While it’s a pleasant place to hang out, there wasn’t anything particularly unique or memorable about the experience.

A particularly uncared for and grubby interior. It's a pity because this lovely old pub should be busy like everywhere else in Greenwich. The staff could be cleaning the dirty scuff marks instead of just looking at the phone. Either this pub is upgraded and run properly or it's going to close.

Visitamos este pub hace unas semanas mientras íbamos al Teatro de al lado. Era un ambiente muy amable y cálido y Nathan detrás de la barra era muy bueno. Tomé unas copas antes y después del show. Nos gustó tanto que hemos vuelto 2 veces más. Pásate y compruébalo, te lo recomendaríamos.

Didn't enjoy being looked at funny by the bartender as I entered the bar, he looked at me as if I did something wrong. Ordered a pint of neck oil as I went to get a seat they were taken immediately. What a waste of money and time. Then I wasn't allowed to take me almost 8 quid pint with me in a plastic cup. Never again will go to this pub ever. Lived in London for 25 years I'm done.

Fantastic nice little pub, tasty food, friendly and attentive service. Relaxed atmosphere, and good vibes. The pulled beef croquettes are to die for ❤️ thank you for the nice time, you made our visit to Greenwich perfect.

Smaller Greene King Pub with good service and food. We had Fish & Chips and a Steak & Ale pie and both were on point.

Cute pub with reasonable prices. Very charming atmosphere and nice staff. Unfortunately it was so crowded that we decided to only drink something but we definitely want to come back and try the food.

Festive burger and Ham hock pie ordered, burger wasn't cooked very well, seems like it was at best oven cooked or microwaved at worst. Ham hock pie was not fresh and may have the last day it could have been served. Chips were the best part of the meal. Asked on ordering if we could use a Greene king gift card, lady said they weren't useable in these pubs contrary to the Greene King website. I think she wasn't sure or couldn't be bothered finding out. Staff not very friendly. Probably ok for a drink but not recommended for food.

A fantastic night on Sunday with show tunes extra with Glam Jam a brilliant night and raised over £200 for McMillan Cancer can’t wait for the 18 Dec.

Cozy little place friendly staff. I only stayed for one drink because food wasn't served when I got there and I needed to eat. Would have been nice to have stayed.

We were surprised by the very cozy atmosphere and the exquisite food. We had tried the typical "fish and chips" dish at another restaurant, but the one here is much better. And impeccable customer service. I recommend 100%!

Nathan, the barman is always really friendly here.. we visit 3 times a week when we drop a dog off across the road.. they serve a lovely pint of Hazy Day here and it's always really clean! We've had lunch here on occasion and generally share a burger and it's always been spot on. Highly recommended if you are in the area.. I know its a gay pub.. but me and my straight lady love the vibe here!

Went there for Sunday lunch , very close to the park where we walked out dogs , pub was dog friendly and had a lovely Sunday lunch for 5 people (including one gluten intolerant , one veggie ) Very reasonably priced too , so id certainly go back there. Service very friendly and not over crowded ....

Qué joya fantástica de un pub en el corazón de Greenwich. Pedimos pescado con papas fritas y el filete con salsa de merlot que goteaba carne que era casera y la mejor salsa que he probado. Recomiendo encarecidamente el pudín de toffee pegajoso que era ligero y absolutamente delicioso. Gran valor y nada era demasiado problema para Jay que nos trató como viejos amigos. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Greenwich ❤

Good place for a quick beer or two

Vino para un descanso rápido de caminar por Greenwich y porque la Sra. necesitaba el baño. Compré una pequeña Coca Cero y un pequeño agua tranquila - que era £ 8. 20 de alguna manera. Ambos acordamos que no era un pub muy agradable, deteriorado, sucio, pegajoso mesas y suelos y sin duda caro. Aprecio que Greenwich no sea barato, pero la mayoría de las empresas independientes hacen un esfuerzo para ganarlo de alguna manera.

Great staff, very welcoming. The food is excellent. we had 3 small plates, and the portion size was mega, nothing small at all. So nice to visit a gay bar as they are so few and in-between. Have been coming here on and off for over 30 years and also the Gloucester. The barman made our visit so enjoyable well done to him and thank you

A real gem in the heart of Greenwich, nice cosy place with warm and friendly atmosphere.

Perfect, slightly off the main drag for light bites and a drink, 10BP. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Helpful staff and nice rest stop after Observatory and Maritime Museum.

Not sure what’s happened to this pub but it’s dead! Used to be packed. Get rid of the cabaret and the awful Dj booth? Get rid of the stage, give it a clean and a lick of paint. It’s been ruined

A very pleasant place away from a busy street, very nice staff, we wanted to recommend a local beer - and we got a tasting right away. The food was excellent, traditional English dishes, large enough portions. Thanks again, we definitely recommend stopping here.

Nice gay pub in the middle of Greenwich Village. Pay a visit on Tuesday for the Drag Bingo at 8pm, you won’t regret it. Staff is very friendly too

FANTASTIC! Not only the service but also the food was lovely! Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the Garlic Ciabatta, the Pulled Mushroom Chilli and the Flat Iron Steak. The Fish & Chipst is fresh and the Steak & Ale Pie were not bad.

I really love this place! Been here with my partner this evening. The wine is great. We also had some nice nachos ... and beautiful music. Good stuffffff :)

A wonderful place to have a drink and eat I've not been back to this pub for about 15yrs as I moved away but was visiting friends, the Katsu Curry chicken burger was absolutely devine!! 🍔🌟👍🏻😋❤️

Nice drinks, awful service. Sighed and rolled eyes when walked in as they wanted to close. She got my order wrong and told me she "can't be arsed" to fix it. Any other Greene King or the Wetherspoons round the corner will be better!

We booked up for a family Sunday lunch and were greeted by extremely friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Even though the marathon was running that day and they had some issues in Greenwich with a power cut they honoured our booking and served us quite possibly the best steak and ale pies we have ever tasted! My grandson scoffed down his gorgeous looking burger too! We will definitely be going back there as it was an absaloute delight to find a friendly pub restaurant which is as fairly priced and accommodating as this. 10/10

We'd booked a table here for food and to also see That Lady. We were running late and initially rang through to ask them to keep the table. As the food service stopped at 8.00pm, we rang again and gave our food order over the phone, so that we were guaranteed to eat. The service was excellent and our food was virtually ready on arrival, despite the fact that the pub itself was extremely busy. Staff were excellent, That Lady was excellent. Would definitely return next time we are back in the Big City!

Never again. This was a very expensive evening not worth the bother . Poor standard of cleanliness. Much better pub's in Greenwich offering better prices and providing a clean environment and better service than I received. I won't return

Nathan and Callum were fantastic, my partner is a coeliac and vegetarian, Nathan went out of his way to call me prior to our booking and confirm his needs. Calidad/precio muy buena. El trato por parte del servicio ha sido espectacular. La comida es abundante, hay mucha variedad y con diferentes posibilidades dentro de un mismo plato. Lugar muy agradable, tranquilo y en una buena zona de Greenwich. Variedad de cervezas para todos los gustos. Muy recomendable si estas por la zona!

amazing experience. spontaneously walked in and got to see queera lynn (slay) performing over an hour. buzzing atmosphere, both for a younger and older crowd, bar staff phenomenal, everyone very friendly, nice area around not too far from cutty sark and the station, RIGHT by Greenwich park.

Way over priced £6:90 for a pint of Peroni . No wonder it was empty on my visit. Is it to rinse the unsuspecting tourists or take advantage of the LGBTQ target market ? Green king hang your heads in shame. Westend/ Soho is cheaper !!
