Since the refurbishment its gone down hill to be honest, no food anymore and the clientele are getting more undesirable. Also, serving Stella with no Stella glasses.... what's that about 🤣

This pub has had a refurb and is just looking amazing plenty of spaces to sit and relax the garden is big and gorgeous looking too with plenty of seating plus a Tv in the garden as well as another ten tvs in the pub itself. There is also bench’s out front. There is a pool table and darts as well as other game boards. The staff are friendly and welcoming got some great entertainment on the weekends and there’s always something going on in the week too. Great atmosphere great staff great prices it’s a must try 👍👌🤩

Traditional pub with wonderful cask beer. Lots of locals lunch here. We had fish and chips and veggie pie, both were excellent. The food in theis pub is better than in other pubs we visited in London. Ambiance is rustic chic - very relaxing. Service is prompt and attentive. Worthwhile stop.

I love this pub, the food here on a Sunday is amazing and to pop in of an evening for a drink after work is the best place in eltham, nice place to unwind and relax

Arrived today for a pre-booked table at 1 pm. Five of us. After being seated we were told that a table of 9 and a table of 18 were in front of us and we would have to wait 30 mins for them to queue for the carvery first. We felt it would have been a lot longer and decided to leave and eat somewhere else. I've never heard of waiting for others at a carvery. You normally just join the queue. We have eaten here many times but will never do so again. Shame because the food is very good.

Decided to go for a Sunday Roast today before heading to Gran Canaria next week. Found the White Hart Carvery in Eltham online decided to give it a try. Only 10 min train ride from London Bridge then a 5 min walk. Great food, nice atmosphere friendly staff. Can't recommend it highly enough compared to basic Sunday Roasts in Central London. £50 for both including beer and deserts which were big 🙂

Best roast dinner around deserts are delicious,great prices great portions staff are amazing and to the highest standard of perfection the landladie is one of the nicest people you'd ever meet and runs a very tight ship kareoke on a Friday is amazing because the whiteharts got talent with some amazing singers sat dj n live music is amazing to well worth a visit can't wait to go back again

Absolute shambles waited 35 minutes after our table booking, I then came to learn that my 13 year old son had been served alcohol! When I confronted the staff I got asked to leave!

My Auntie is very fussy.. 🤣🤣 But the chef, cook, server listened to her and gave her exactly what she wanted! 👍 We had the Roast Carvery and I can honestly say it was "Yummy in my tummy." 🤣👍 Washed down with a couple of beers 🍻 it's rude not to. 🤣 Small Irish lady was a Diamond!! 💎💎♥️ Even though she was rushed off her feet and all over the place at 💯miles + an hour she still found the time to stand and chat with me and my Auntie <<aka Crazy nanny. 🤣 She couldn't of done anymore and she knows what "Customer service is." 💯% She's a keeper.. 💯 I even felt bad asking her for another beer..So I asked another member of staff.. 🤣 Who also was off and my beer was brought to me asap. 👍 The three members of staff who we interacted with and served us done an Amazing job!! 👍👍 They work extremely hard and it showed. But even though they was extremely tired they was still polite, helpful and done an amazing job!!👍 Dont need to ask me if I would return or not lol. I will be but I won't be alone. My whole family will.be with me. 👍 If your wondering if what you see in pic's is what you get. Well from.what I've seen I'd say 💯% yes! I made the mistake of looking at them and now I fancy a fry up and will.be deffo trying one or two.. maybe three. 🤣 I also like the look of the comedy night and a curry. 👍🥳 But I'll have to feed my auntie before we get there as she will not eat a curry. 😂🤣 But if you could do some basic food for her 🤣😂 I'll pay double the price so we can eat "together." That's what family and life is about. Constructive cristism from me to owner. What I would change and maybe would make you more money and have a higher turn over = everyone more happier! More customers through door and out happy. Staff higher wages and pay rises and they wont be on minimum wage. They dont need to look for another job as their happy and why fix something that ain't broken. 1. Employ another 1 or 2 staff. If you can get another Irish lady that you already have you wont need 2 more staff. If you could clone her you only need 2 of her as they'll be going 200miles an hour. Because that's what they can do. 2. Put a sign as you walk in explaining how the system works. As me and my auntie walked in and didn't know what to do. Example: Do we wait to be seated or just grab a table while it's there? Or do we wait just inside door to be served? Who know's?? Well I do now but if you get someone who hasn't been there before a sign will say it all..Job done. Simples.. 3. A sign can do alot.. can take pressure off of a chef,cook and server. I saw him try to serve us (me and my auntie) and also protect the vegetarian option. Mind you the customer already had enough on his plate.. lol 😂🤣 Sorry for the essay but Credit where Credit is due! We’ve eaten here several times over the past year, the food and service has always been excellent. Sadly our latest visit for a Sunday roast was a different story. We were greeted by the normal friendly staff, our waitress (pink hair) was very nice and helpful. I’m not sure if we left our visit too late but the food was a big let down… the meats were dried out, the beef was really dried out. Roast potatoes were crusty, hard and dry although soft in the middle so just about edible. The normal selection of vegetables were missing…no cabbage, stuffing or mash. We’re not fussy eaters but it seems the cook was not bringing out freshly cooked food until this was eaten. To be fair to him it might have been management orders?? Deserts were written on a piece of paper, the cheesecake wasn’t good, brownies were hard. Soft drinks like coke and lemonade were tasteless and watery. White Hart management This is an honest review, please don’t let what used to be a great food pub go downhill!

Had a delicious Sunday carvery. Simple genuine good food, meats were excellent, best gammon ever tasted. Chef is obviously passionate about his menu. Staff really considerate and friendly, asking if we were happy with our meal. Great value for money. Can’t wait to go back to be honest.

Me and a few friends came to the white hart for a carvery which was not to disappoint. The food was superb . The staff are a credit to the place and are all friendly and very welcoming. However we did not like the fact that a lady who we later found out was the manager would come down to the bar and have ago at the staff for standing around, which we could all overhear due to her being loudly spoken. In our eyes the staff had done all they needed and were waiting for people to finish food etc . There is only so much you can badger customers . Not to mention the manager also complaining about a set of lights being on. We understand the cost of living has increased but you cannot expect people to eat in a hardly lit room due to the weather being miserable . We as customers do not want to overhear managers complaining to staff you simply take them aside where there are no customers. As I previously said the food is not to fault at all and we would return for another Sunday lunch . And a massive thank you to the staff for making it a lovely afternoon for us

I attended here with my family for an early birthday on the first Sunday of June . We arrived and was immediately greeted with smiles from all staff. The set up worked like toby carvery but was 10x better . It was absolutely amazing the food was delicious . All staff were polite and very welcoming, especially our server who was a young blonde girl who was very well mannered and very helpful and constantly checked up on us . We had no issues at all and will most definitely be returning. The apple crumble is a must have. We will definitely be returning

We had the most amazing Carvery today, with family. Great selection of meat & vegatables, I don't think I've ever seen cabbage, swede, brocollli & cauliflower cheese available in any other carvery, crispy roast potaoes & huge yorkshires, all cooked to perfection that even my fussy grandaughter cleared her plate. Staff were great & took the time to check we were happy with our meal, even though they were rushed off their feet. Well done to everyone, we will definately be back

Food was excellent and a decent pint of Guinness

Our first server, an Irish lady with pink hair was lovely and the chef that cut the meats on the carvery was nice and the meats were nice but everything else was pretty bad. The trimmings for the carvery had clearly been out under the heat lamps for a long time. The stuffing was as dry our as you could possibly imagine and the 2 trays of potatoes were dried out and hard as wood from the length of time out under the heat lamps, once you cracked them open however they were fluffy and tasty inside. They could have been nice when they were first put out (obviously a long time earlier) The veg was ok, the mustard and horseradish were crusted over. A young lady asked us what we wanted for dessert, we said we hadn't seen a dessert menu. She seemed very put out and asked if we wanted to see the menu and gave us a piece of note paper with the desserts written on. When she came back to take our dessert order she swang a chair round from the table next to ours and sat at our table to take our order. We assumed at first that she must be pregnant and need to sit when she could but she didn't appear to be. The desserts (2 ice creams and a brownie) took forever to come but were nice when they arrived. We kept going to the bar to ask for the bill and after 20 mins we all went to the bar on our way out in a final attempt to pay the bill. £170 including 'service charge'!!! The cheek! We wanted to tip the lady with the pink hair that looked after us but NOBODY else deserved a tip but they automatically added a service charge to the bill that we had to ask over and over and over again for so we didn't have a choice. We'll never go there again.

Carvery... Oh yes. If you want a great roast, meat great, potatoes great, gravy great, all great.

Had a really enjoyable carvery on Sunday, best I've had there. Not a huge variety of vegetables but perfectly adequate, the meat was nice and a generous portion. Children's size was also great.

Friendly efficient staff. Lovely clean and comfortable surroundings throughout the pub. Excellent food especially the Sunday Carvery. Highly recommended.

The Sunday carvery is still going and is £12 for a mountain of food (they serve the meat, you serve whatever else you like). Meat options when I visited were pork, gammon or beef. There was about a 15 minute wait for a table but you can also make reservations!

Lovely setting tasty food good portions friendly staff.

We ended up visiting this place unexpectedly as our table was given to other punters, however.... they had a live irish band and the people we were with really enjoyed their selves. Friendly customers and friendly staff.... all in all a great night.

This is a drinkers pub. Definitely no carvery or steaks on the menu. The best you're gonna get is a burger.

Absolutely wonderful Sunday carvery - best I’ve ever eaten, in fact. The chefs could not have been more friendly and really understood veganism. The vegetarian and vegan options were absolutely delicious. I could not recommend this roast more.

Even tho I might know the lovely landlady I see a load of Chinese fellas walking in an out I just popped in to have a quick shot on way home as I only live round the corner. To be told by the barmaid they were closed but she had a big group of fellas sitting in the back of pub an told me she always let's them have a drink but I wasn't allowed as she couldn't be bothered. Which I thought was quite rude. And as far as I'm concerned its money in the till she turned away. Personally I dont know what was wrong with my money and I wasn't planning on staying long. I think she needs to sort her act out and they need to get their staff to realise if their there to work an take money. If the door is open then they should refuse customers unless told otherwise. Thanks.

Great Atmosphere, created by a Celtic band. The first time I've seen live music since November 2019. Drinks are priced reasonably compared to other pubs on the High St.

Friendly staff, good beer, and a really good carvery. The ingredients are fresh, and cooked perfectly. Good for kids too. Little beer garden at back, good to sit down in the sun. I do like this family run pub.

So my first venture out for food once lockdown was eased, I am not going to lie I was a bit anxious, but I was impressed, we pre-booked and had to change the party number and also on another occasion we had to call again to push our arrival time out, this was not a problem, on arrival we were greeted by a member of staff with a face mask on and then taken to our table, we were assigned a waitress (Chelsea), you wouldn’t have known it but it was Chelseas’ first shift, (which we found out halfway through the meal) the service was second to none, Chelsea dealt well with our banter very well (gotta love a waitress with banter), it was table service only, all staff either wore face masks with a plastic coveting to allow for lip reading by customers or visors, the tables were sanitized regularly which was good to see, the food was absolutely amazing there was so much variety on offer for the carvery and omg the pudding was amazing (sticky toffee pudding) and Chelsea even bought me out the most amazing hot caramel sauce, overall the service and food was lush 😍 and High five to the fabulous Chelsea 👍🏽

Found this pub after a google search when our local stopped doing carverys. Great carvery, hot food, the meat is lovely. Been here twice now & good quality both times. Staff are friendly & helpful. At £12pp it is pricier than we had been paying. So with a drink each you are always looking to pay around £35. Its so filling though you don't need starters or desserts!
