I was VERY disappointed with my meal tonight.I have used these many times in the past and have always been happy with the food.However last night..the fish was over cooked almost re fried with over cooked batter.Also the chips were barely warm and hard….ALL seemed REHEATED ..extremely disappointed..it was practically inedible.So upset with the whole meal.

Could not place my order unti I chose a condiment. No salt/ vinegar option was not available.

Really lovely food. Staff are very helpful, and the service is amazing. If you fancy eating local in Eltham, then i would recommend Eltham grill hse.

Surprised at the choices on the menu really good choice for anyone. All freshly cooked good generous size portions. Kept very clean and tidy. Only downside was a single toilet for all to share. I will be going back again.

deliveryman refused to give order unless I submitted an unknown 4 diget number..10 mins of augumentation and anquish.. Salmon was dry and tasteless.

Food over cooked was not a good meal

This order was mostly fine. However, the Apple Pie was very disappointing. The pasty had turned to a lumpy liquid. We noticed that the packaging of the Apple Pie was warm, (stored pressed against the other hot items), and this may have caused an unfortunate deterioration to the pie. We would like to place further orders here. However, we would need reassurance that this problem has been addressed.

The site doesn't allow you to select something without a side or chips. You have to buy your choice with chips which is wasteful and expensive. Please re-think from a customer viewpoint rather than from a profit angle..........

30 ladies visited for fish and chips meal. The service was very good. Everyone seemed to get their meal at the same time!! The ladies loved the food. 2nd year of going.

Great portion and delicious fish and chip. Staff are very friendly. It’s good to sit down and unwind for a meal over the weekend. Highly recommend the Cod and Chips. Small is already very big portion for the Cod and Chips. Definitely will come again.

food was great, but they are giving out just eat vouchers that have already expired, so someone is probably using them prior to giving them out. They are within date, but always says expired if I try to use one for my next order which is only usually a few days later. But I'm ordering less as this is a bit of a carrot that I cannot eat! Would be better to not give out vouchers at all than giving out already used ones!

Super quality flaky fish with nice crunchy crispy batter, all very fresh and well cooked. Chips perfect. Packaged well. Instructions followed. The best fish and chips locally. Sometimes a bit of wait time but worth it because it’s fresh cooked.

Delivery driver didn’t let me know that they had left the order and they just left it on the door step

Always delicious fish served here, and the lamb/chicken shish combination is tasty too. Very friendly staff make it a great local place to eat. Can be very quiet though (which isn't a downside)

Lovely food and very good priced. They cater for everyone including vegetarian and vegan. Great service and attention from the staff working there. Would highly recommend for families or just couples. They also have a takeaway side to the restaurant. High quality

I usually give them a 5* - not sure if it was the lunchtime meal, but the chips were nowhere as good as they usually are. Also, the wraps are falling apart, not tightly wrapped. The sauce I ordered was missing. I hope it is a one off.

Went in to reminisce and ordered Brunch Grill and Egg Brunch. Lovely well cooked meal that arrived on a proper plate with nice cutlery. Lovely lady who served us, very friendly. Very clean.

What a hidden gem, we walk past this sometimes taking the short cut from sainsburys carpark to boots, we always forget that it's hidden away here untill we walk past. today we went in for food and I'm so glad we did! The food & atmosphere was 5 star 🌟 we will definitely be coming back, I highly recommend if you love fish and chips, the fish was so fresh and cooked beautifully.

Been coming here for many years, since a child (so yes, many years!). Food is fab, cooked to perfection. Management and staff are attentive and provide excellent service. Entertainment nights has the place buzzing, singing and dancing. Book early to avoid disappointment!

Very disappointed. Ordered a can of coke. Not received, Saveloy and cod roe below usual standard I expect from Eltham Grill House. Not sure I will order from them again

Super fresh, tasty, great quality fish, meats and salads. Very kind and attentive service at the tables. Lovely decor and interiors, made this experience really pleasing. Perks: good prices, there is no smell of reused fried oil in the air neither in the batter and there is a great Mediterranean touch since they are Turkish, the atmosphere is elegant without being expensive. I will definitely go back to enjoy more. Many thanks 😊

Decided off the cuff to try out this hidden gem. Food was absolutely brilliant. We had cod and chips with calamari as a side order. The cod was brilliant, we couldn’t fault it. Chips were immense as well. The only thing I’d say is I would have expected the Calamari portion to be slightly bigger. Service was ok. But if I’m judging based off food. It’s an exceptional place for fish and chips.

Lovely renovations, good menu, reasonable prices. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meal -- tasty and perfectly prepared.

The fish was amazing and even the salad it wasn't just a bit of lettuce tomato and cucumber There was cabbage onion and the flavour was really nice The only thing I didn't like was the waitress started cleaning our table and I was still eating but they was lovely waitress and fish we ordered was so freash xx

Fish ok,but chips very dry and not fresh

Been using the Eltham Grill since first moving to Eltham almost 40 years ago. This was so disappointing and not at all up to the usual high standard. The chips were not freshly cooked and had obviously been made some considerable time before. The food was barely above room temperature which rendered the chips in particular practically inedible and much of it was thrown away.

Very nice food , alot posher than it used to be , used to come.regualy 20years ago. Food is better , very small amount of choice for children. 4 to 5 choices I think . No children's cutlery . Will be back. Had salmon salad 🥗 very nice and sausage and chips.

The food was hotter because it was wrapped separately,and the box was sealed properly

In a nutshell… the best fish and chip restaurant in England. I come here every six or so weeks with my family and it never fails to impress. We now travel from the Southwest to come here. Thank you team.

missing items from order, very disappointed considering the premium paid for delivery .... missing pitta bread from chicken shish kebab and missing sausage in batter from order ... quite upsetting wheb one child goes hungry ...... quality was good but missing items unacceptable

The 5* is definitely worthy for the fish & chips offered, the batter, freshness of the fish, and the chips beautiful, the chicken burger generous in portion (just lacked a more suitable dressing / salad to elevate it, the size was generous. Will definitely be back again soon to try other offerings. Staff friendly & engaging. Well done

I am absolutely DISAPPOINTED and DISGUSTED with my order once again. I ordered a large cod £12-60 and large chips £5-30, The cod was very small and the chips you would not even call a small portion. When I rang them up I was just told that they were busy. I have been using this restaurant for over 10 years, But sadly will never use AGAIN
