The George Inn in Torbay

Had a great couple of nights in here bar staff great very friendly and of coarse we both loved teddy swims thanks for a good night xx

Barman very friendly & helpful had a very pleasant drink & chat.

The barman was most welcoming, we were allowed to bring in fish and chips, the night before he offered us good from the darts evening. Top class

No food served here landlord quite happy for you to bring your own. Friendly staff.

A very good place away from the downs of Babbacombe. The choice of beer is good Red Stripe on tap, as well as Korev, Guinness, Rattler, John Smith's, Fosters, San Miguel all of them are reasonably priced too. Rattlers cider on tap too. There are 2 dart boards (darts available on request) there is also a pool table (Free Every day to play) Currently as of Late October 2022 the pool table has now been removed.... there is a good jukebox too. Sky Sports and BT Sport plays too. Big screen and a few tvs. Small walled garden area. The staff are great (the Bald one) Daniel and the Sea Sick Steve lookalike (His name is Kevin the bearded one) they are both lovely and top fellas. There is an open fire which is lit in the colder months it is lit after dusk. Dogs are welcome too. You can bring in your own food to consume which is a great touch. Brilliant, you are always made to feel very welcome when you visit here.

Always great when I go in and I always say I should go more as i do know lots that go in, but I will make more effort

Was there on a Sunday night found the atmosphere pretty good Glastonbury on the big screen made for an a good vibe left to visit one of the lovely pubs on the front on returning for another drink at roughly quarter past 10 was stunned to find it locked with customers still inside the councils doing no doubt very disappointing pub in a holiday resort

This is a very large sized pub. I have yet to visit the George inn at a weekend or when it is at its busiest but it looks like you could fit in some good sized groups of people. I've been in twice and both times it's been a quick visit so I can not be specific on anything they have to offer on fine Ales ( in which I'm sure they will) to special deals and dates etc YET. I will be going again and I will review again. For now all I can tell you is that I felt comfortable walking in alone...I liked my surroundings although it has been revamped if I remember correctly.NEW MANAGEMENT anyway. So a good size, good ambience,good location and GREAT WELCOMING staff.second visit was quicker than first but the George is inviting....

Safe with covid good atmosphere

Fine local boozer just behind the sea front - no queues to get in due to covid regulations. Darts, pool, juke box and sport on TV - plenty to amuse you if the British weather stops you from partaking in more strenuous activities. Manager grafts hard and once you've quenched your thirst you're only a short walk away from some local eateries.

Fantastic, welcoming pub with pool table, live football and good atmosphere. Service unbeatable.

Pool table old, food was cold but the George pool players are good socialble people to be around with.
