Lovely place to go to . Friendly stuff .great food

I ordered Adana Kofte but I got Lamb Chops. I used to get salad in 2 containers. This time I got salad in one- without olives.

I got half of the salad. Just olives and Peper and lemon. Shame

Great shisha and incredibly kind staff, they took care of our group amazingly and the drinks were great. We didn't eat while there but did have the cocktails.

Adana wrap was lovely and big got 2 small dips with it as well

I've had this many times in the past and the portion is getting smaller and smaller. the food arrived late and it was soggy and almost cold. dissapointed.

all good containers was damaged and food spilled everywhere not happy would like a refund

The place isn't bad but could be better, it might be crowded and some people just can disturb you during the meal. There is no alternative option, in the menu and will be asked for extra pay, so bear in mind. Some staff is not friendly and impolite. Moreover staff is not attentive and how much time I ordered food take away and always ripping off,because they don't put all meal which should be,furthermore no cutleries or no salad,it's actually crufty fooling customers and you have to compensate it,but you take tge whole price for meal!? So,if you order meal take away,please customers check straight away by till, definitely they will not put all meal in your order! Don't suggest this place!

Terrible our food has not arrived

Food looked impressive. skin on fries really nice. free sauces very tasty. My Halloumi wrap looked good, but is too dry. cheese not juicy. option of having sauce inside wrap would be nicer.

Always love getting food from The Gate, it’s always fresh and delicious with a zesty salad, and lots of side dishes which makes it a great option to taste everything! Our go to place for delivery when out of town friends and family is staying with us.

I can't comment on the food front, as we didn't eat. But what a wicked place! Dozens of pool tables, shishas at the back, ideal for group gatherings, good atmosphere and service. Definitely coming again!

I liked the food, the service was very good and they have TNT Sports but don't have the commentary.

It's probably one of the best hookah lounges that I have had the pleasure of visiting. The bar is stocked with a very broad variety of drinks, from non alcoholic beer and juices to brandy and flavoured vodka. They'll have something that tickles your fancy. I haven't had to the pleasure to try their food but from what I have seen from others ordering, it looks delicious and smells it too. I also thoroughly enjoy the Pool tables that they have, in total I think they have 9 or 10 tables and with the ability to rent the tables for 1 hour at a time it makes it, personally for me, a relaxing and engaging evening.

I just can't wait to visit this spot again, just loved every minute of my 1st visit there really!

Absolutely delicious. The platter for 2 was extremely generous. Will definitely be a new regular for us.

Very tasty food. Fries were lovely - something the other reviews made us concerned about. Wrap could have done with a bit more moisture/sauce, but other than that absolutely delicious. Would order again.

Always good food, delivery guy was courteous. Love the flat bread and hummus!! Wish we could add the delivery persons tip as part of payment on JustEat. Would love to see Kibbeh and other traditional dishes also on the menu (stuffed veggies too?). But we love all the food. Five stars from us!

The place needs a change of management and staff . They are all rude especially the bearded one at the bar , he was shouting at a customer and then shouting at his manager . He has always had attitude and needs to calm down .. I will not go again ! Is going down hill fast , used to be welcoming now it’s like watching fights in there everyday .

Hidden gem. I came here with a couple friends on a saturday to try the shisha, the outside area was sheltered and warm. On top of that the food was really nice and full of flavour. If you havent been, give it a go!

Lovely meal shame things weren’t labelled for what goes with what but other than that I can’t fault the food was delicious and the delivery lady even more beautiful first time I was embarrassed coming to the door in my dressing gown

My friends always go there for dinner and invite me to play pool and have drinks with them. Overall great place. Service has been highly professional at each visit. Staff members were super kind and helpful. They have ample space, nice pool tables, multiple big screens, open air backyard space and front patio, all good to have. Easy choice in the area!

Not happy as called the restaurant to explain we had missing items but they were not really willing to help!!! They said they have no drivers to bring the food and they also forgot items previously which they said they would bring to us and didn’t whoever answered the phone was quite rude not listening or being helpful at all. Very disappointed as this place had become a favourite not anymore.

Absolute sleeper hit. I've walked past this place a million times in my 10 years in Gloucester and never thought to go in. The back area is amazing. Well covered, cozy and relaxed, while still being able to smoke. The food is the best. Was really surprised to get a huge platter of bread and dips along with my Sucuk, which was itself amazing. The shisha is a little pricey, and it's a shame there's no table service, but ultimately I can see myself coming back here a lot.

A lot of liquid in salad which leaked into other food. Missing drinks. The lamb chops were tasty but a little dry.

The chicken ,salad and chips were good,but the sauces were definitely off ,they tastes weird ,like they've already gone off! It's dissapointing because this was always a good takeaway.

Great place, only problem is the bar staff seem to make up their own prices, we ordered 3 separate rounds and drinks were the same on each round, prices ranged from £11.50-£18-50, probably won't be going back due to this

The Gate is easily the best food spot in Gloucester, the food is bang on every time from the rice to the bread to the meats. I only wish I didn’t find out they were on just eat as it’s now going to put a dent in my pocket lol. 10/10 every time!

Our first visit here, there are 4 good quality pool tables. We used one at the back by the beer garden. They do food here but we didn't have any. Limited on selection of drinks didn't see any real ales or even a Guinness, had to make do with larger. You pay for use of the table, how many games you play depends how quickly someone wins.

Later mt purse her. Staff managed to track me down on fb ans return it. Thank you. Lovely atmosphere here.

We go here once a month for a few games of pool and to enjoy the great food, highly recommended..

brilliant pub was quiet but still a great place

Been here a couple times and going back tonight! The owners are extremely friendly and the food and service are top notch. The last two times we went, we went as large groups and everyone had good food and a good time. No problem referring them!

Nice place to have a relaxed meet up with friends. We had a mixed platter at a reasonable price and the staff were very polite and friendly.

We go to the gate a fair bit, and their food is always outstanding. And with their being no good takeaway kebabs we thought we would try their takeaway and we were not disappointed. Absolutely outstanding - whether you are eating in or having a take away

The Gate is my favourite take away in Gloucester! Great quality, tasty food and good portion sizes. Food is fresh and delivered hot. I have got all my housemates hooked on it!

I have been working away and have tried every pub and restaurant in Gloucester over the past 4 months, What a little Gem I found in the Gate! The draught beer is easily the best in town, staff make you feel like family and can't do enough for you, and the food..... by far the best Turkish meal I've had in years. Can't say enough good things about this place. Just try it!
