Once again, a beautiful visit to The Garlic Farm for breakfast. Booking online easy, we were seated next to the window & loved seeing the red squirrels, they were busy foraging. Drinks order placed quickly & brought to us, we both had the Garlic Farm breakfast. Hot, tasty and filling, enjoyed alongside Garlic ketchup & Black Garlic ketchup. Will be back soon. Many thanks to you all, as always, smiling, friendly service :-)

It's a farm shop, cafe and restaurant. It's advertised a free entry which most farm shops, cafes and restaurants are! It also advertises farm animals and farmyard walks. These are not signposted and when we asked, we had to buy a map!.

We visit the garlic farm every time we visit the island because we love it so much but the last 2 times we have been it just hasn't been the same and it's disappointing. The sausage and mushrooms used to be so garlicky, we told everyone about it but we haven't experienced the same this last 2 visits. The price of breakfast doesn't appear to have changed so I can only assume they are keeping the costs low but changed the quality. I don't mind paying more for what used to be the best breakfast on the island. We will try again when we next visit and we hope it goes back to how it was 🤞🏼

This place is a little gem on the Isle of Wight, the food and service is brilliant, with a nice choice of items on the menu. We have visited here many times and are never disappointed in our meals or the great staff that work there. After dinner you can pop into their shop and pick up all the ingredients to make something at home with their famous garlic. What’s not to love about this place. Can not wait to return.

Actually me and my family are disappointed, food wasn’t good and no taste at all. My husband has pork burger- nothing special, my mum Has fishcake was not tasty , not seasoned and bland and very spicy, I have beef corn was very spicy also. We we expected to taste garlic in the dishes at a garlic restaurant but actually we feel just chili.

We were in the area and visited the farm shop and decided we would try this place. The lunch menu starts from 12pm so we booked a table which we had a walk around the grounds and walking trails of the farm shop until this time. The place was reasonably busy. For starter we shared the 'whole slow roasted garlic bulb' which was ok not overly the best and not strong enough. For the main I had the 'beetroot burger' this was nice and would have it again. We also tried the soup of the day which was very watery and didn't have a strong flavour. I had the 'garlic beer' which was nice. Overall the place seemed clean, the food was ok, the food we had didn't seem to showcase the star ingredient of 'garlic' which was a shame as this was one of the main reasons we visited here. The staff seemed friendly. Booking a table is advisable

Popped in for a snack and to visit the shop. In the Alium Cafe the board doesn't clearly state prices so unsure what we were paying. While we were ordering the previous customer had to come back 2 or 3 times for things that were missing. The staff were disinterested and not listening properly, we were under the impression we had ordered 3 food items, two adults had stated one of the items but it never came. We asked and she looked blankly at us and said there was none left, so we said we had ordered one. We had no receipt and the prices were unclear so we didn't know if we had ordered it. She looked at her till and said we hadn't so we assume we didn't pay for it. She didn't read us back the order , it just felt like customers were a nuisance.

We stopped at the garlic farm shop, very good products all about garlic 🧄 we had lunch at the restaurant next to the shop and the food was excellent. The blond lady that looked after us was lovely, professional and friendly. We ordered following her recommendation bagel pastrami, mushroom frittata all with a hint of garlic. For desert we tried black garlic ice cream and chocolate with garlic brownie. Highly recommended!!!! See you soon again.

We were initially sat at the furthest point away from the counter squeezed in next to a piano (possibly due to not being islanders or regulars), which we felt was ridiculous given there were empty tables everywhere and immediately asked to be move to the area where everyone else as seated. The staff all seemed to be very miserable and did not smile at all. We ordered cakes and drinks and the cakes were a huge disappointment as they were very dry. We have been a few times including lunch for my birthday last year, when we visit family on the island, but based upon our last experience will not be returning.

A hidden gem on the Island and judging by the visitor’s word is getting around. Super delicious brunch but curious the lack of ability to switch ingredients....curious my local 'greasy spoon cafe' can do this better. That said a Truly lovely experience on our visit despite the IOW rain. Lovely walk around the site with an interesting history and the shop which was very stylish and provided some different Christmas presents. Thank You we will be back

Fantastic breakfast venue, nice wood burners for a cold November morning. As you would expect a lot of garlic !! I enjoyed the full english and my wife had a very tasty scrambled egg on toast ( and my garlic mushrooms) . Certainly recommend the food but for me the best event was seeing a wild red squirrel at the feeder. The shop was also very good with as you would expect all things garlic. We did not tour the farm too wet and too much rain.

We were glad we booked, as the restaurant quickly filled up. Within minutes of being shown to our table, someone arrived with menus and a offer of water. When we encounter a menu with loads of interesting items, we often order multiple starters, so as to try a greater range of food. And so it was. After ordering two crisp white wines, we opted for Dorset snails swimming in garlic butter- of course, the garlic mushrooms, which came with a rosemary mayo and local heritage cherry tomatoes. The star of the lunch and indeed the whole trip was a skewer of belly pork cubes- pork fritter, on the menu. The pork is sourced from Duxmore Farm, a whole mile up the road, and after we dragged ourselves away from the table, we drove there to see if we could buy some to try and make the dish at home. The restaurant service was friendly and faultless, the presentation and flavour combinations were first class. Huge thanks to the kitchen team and front of house. See you again soon.

We called in on the off-chance between seeing other attractions as someone had told us that the Isle of Wight was well known for garlic so we thought we should. It was well worth the visit, even if you are just passing by and don't have a lot of time to spare. You don't need to pay to look round and I wouldn't worry about paying for any of the tours etc. Just call in and take a look in the shop. There's information boards and garlic to smell, see, taste, and buy if you want to. If you do have more time to spare or want to spend money, then you can walk round or sit and there's a restaurant etc. and a small children's play area. We bought a single bulb of smoked garlic to take home which wasn't particularly expensive and turned out to be really nice!

We came for a cream for 4 £40 later I feel a bit ripped off and disappointed with the quality of the food. My scone was a bit dry and flaky, the portions of clotted cream and jam very stingy. Visited for breakfast. A lovely setting with a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was very tasty. Children’s menu was limited but we enjoyed our breakfast. Mushrooms were particularly good. Children then enjoyed a run around the play area outside before we visited the shop. We would come...

On the spur of the moment we decided to end our trip to the farm with a light snack in the restaurant. We were amazed at the range on offer, the quality of the food and the very reasonable prices. I would happily eat there...

A clean and spacious farm restaurant with a varied choice of menu. It is also licensed to sell alcoholic drinks and the garlic beer is one that I would recommend.

This place is famous for its views across the Solent, but only in the summer. In the winter the windows are always steamed up giving you near to no visibility outside. We didn’t eat but the menu looks good and average prices for the area. Drinks were more expensive than the Seaview Hotel just around the corner. +£1 per drink on gin & tonic. It was November on a Friday evening and all tables were reserved. We did sit at one of their best tables for our drink ‘Captain Ted’s Table’ and it was wobbly as hell. Felt like it was going to give way at any time. Come on this is an easy fix.

Nice busy cafe, lots going on with a lot of choice to make your own baguette. Popular with the locals for lunch who fancy an upgrade from a morrisons meal deal.

We have been here many times over the years and looked forward to our visit again this year. What a disappointment. We had a cream tea which consisted of a pot of tea, 2 scones, butter, cream and jam. The jam and cream pots were half the size they used to be and the butter was barely there, adequate enough for one scone but certainly not two. The jug of milk supplied did not have enough milk for one cup of tea and we had to ask for extra. I do not drink tea and asked for my tea to be substituted with coffee, big mistake, it was undrinkable. Went we went to pay we were told 'cash only' and I was lucky to find some cash in the bottom of my bag. This should be made clear when you enter and before you order as a lot of people do not carry cash. Our experience was so different to every other visit we wondered if there were 'new owners' but overheard the owner telling other visitors that she had been there 17 years. Sadly will not be returning.

Remember coming to this pub with my family when I was ten so had to come back 40 odd years later. Disappointed the coffin by the door was gone 😂 but it was a real highlight of our trip. Our dogs were welcomed and fussed over and the food at lunch was amazing, so tasty. Really friendly staff and all the facilities were spotless. Fantastic views over the garden too. A lovely trip down memory lane
