Went for breakfast all food was cooked fresh and was well presented. The staff were all happy and smiling. Not rushed ,a pleasure from start to finish. If your in the area well worth a visit.

My parents, Aunt’s, Uncle's and myself went to The Gardener's Rest Tea Room for afternoon tea. The presentation was delightful, the food superb and staff are friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Take away boxes were given to take home the delicious cakes that we were too full to eat at the time as they were too scrumptious to leave.

Booked our table today rather late, I know, but Julie returned our call and took the booking, and as always, the food was good quality with an excellent choice of menu and happy friendly staff to serve us with a lovely atmosphere.

We visited with our small children and their grandparents. They have a small outdoor area with everything you need for kids to play on and a really lovely inside tea room. The staff are amazing and so friendly would highly recommend visiting for a peaceful meal and playtime

Fabulous Homemade Cakes, all hot food is cooked fresh to order so there may be a wait. The breakfast and Omelettes are particularly fabulous

Stale bread, packets of things instead of bowls, separate charge for coffee, limited selection of food. Afternoon tea was extreme poor value for money will not go there again.

What a wonderful little gem of a place! Have visited twice now in two weeks for tea and cake and a stroll around the garden. Cakes are amazing, staff are lovely and bring food out to your table. The walled garden is full of lovely plants, some unusual and the insect life and especially the dragonflies just a wonder to watch. Thank you 😊

Lovely country pub, we had a fabulous Sunday lunch, well cooked and presented with great Yorkshire puddings and plenty of fresh vegetables . Apple crumble great too. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Tuesday lunchtime. One lady. Rushed off her feet. Snapped at me to sit down after waiting to get attention. Said she'd be with me when SHE was ready. Then told me and my two sons we'd be waiting for food as there were others ahead of us waiting. She seemed frazzled and they clearly cannot cope when busy. Went somewhere else.

We camped in the Railway's carpark for one night on our way to an event at the NEC which is just a short drive away. The pub wasn't doing food that night but they said there'd be no problem in us ordering a takeaway and eating it in the bar; they gave recommendations for good local takeaways - and even provided plates and cutlery for us to eat it off. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and welcoming, and the friendly locals in the bar also made us feel very welcome. Everyone made a big fuss of our dogs. Definitely recommended, and we'll be back.
