I must give Suzy and her team a 100 star rating (5 stars are not enough) - for my daughter's birthday, they provide the most delicious and amazing and thoughtful selection for a home delivered afternoon tea - one pescatarian and one vegan. They really made it special for my daughter and it made her day a memorable one. Thank you SO much Suzy, this is what I call going above and beyond. Great customer service and great quality food!!! I cannot wait until after lockdown restrictions to eat at your cafe. THANK YOU!!!

I’ve not written a review for sometime so apologies to those who like my reviews across the world!!! Myself and my daughter (who is vegan) visited yesterday after lunch and had coffee and home made vegan raspberry ripple cake, it was amazing!!! As my daughter is travelling back to Manchester...a hive of great vegan eateries...we decided to fit in a visit to Gaia for groceries and grabbed the last available table At the garden shed cafe!! 2 oat milk coffees, a breakfast muffin and a breakfast burrito (oh by the way I’m not a veggie or vegan but love to try with my daughter when she’s home)....OMG ...I am so pleased we got the chance to have these....tiny/pretty/quaint etc...excellent mum and daughter beavering away...asking how the food was as I’m stuffing my burrito in like I was starving as it was soooo good!!!! Well done, thank you and we shall return to try your afternoon delights!!!

Happened across this cafe purely by chance but what a find! Two of us devoured our Shed burgers - so tasty (not for the healthier vegan, though), the Chick burger was also a hit, and the breakfast burrito was bursting with deliciousness. All food is prepared freshly and Kerri and Kiera are really friendly. We also loved the location (outside in the tiny garden as it was a scorching day) but I can see it wouldn't necessarily be for the hyper-tidy.

We eat here for lunch last week. Food was good though side salad wasn’t fresh and didn’t offer oat milk for coffee which was disappointing but the main issue was that it was freezing. The cafe was practically empty which considering its Veganary this month was surprising. The lack of heat may be the reason. Definitely a place for the summer otherwise make sure you have your thermals on. We had to go straight to another cafe for a coffee to warm up.

I love it here, only place in Leamington you can eat guilt free. Vegan brunch at its best for a very reasonable price. The staff are super friendly and the decor is cute. Found this cute little hideaway in Leamington via trip adviser and couldn’t wait to get there and have some scrummy vegan food! It’s extremely cosy and it’s very much like being at someone’s house which I quite like.. but it does get quite smokey in there as it’s an open kitchen dining lay out.. this i struggled with but only because I don’t like strong smells! The menu is quite limited but that usually means the food is well done and well thought out. I had the curried Cauliflower pita bread salad which was OK. I have to be honest I expected a bit more of a fancier salad than just lettuce onion and tomato.. with plain pita and cauliflower. (Cauli was good) Most places that do vegan / veggie salads really push the boat out now in rainbow style bowls with al sorts of veg / salad/ cous cous etc. There was also no hummus which was replaced with chutney. Wasn’t quite the same and seeing how easy hummus is to make, i was a bit let down. HOWEVER, this place is really affordable and I think this salad was less than £5 so for that I really can’t complain. Had a slice of the vegan choc cake to follow - this was LOVELY !! the ladies that run the cafe are really friendly and welcoming. I’d like to think I would return if I was passing, but there are some seriously good vegan/ veggie options around now so I’ve still got lots to try! Nevertheless, I would recommend if your on a budget!!

I have visited many times hoping to like it a bit more each time I go, but it seems to always disappoint. The small shed is lacking in atmosphere, the service is slow - even when you are the only customers, the portions are small and the food is nothing special. The last time I went we were the only two customers in the place and they still managed to burn the toast twice! It is overpriced for what you get - they need to either reduce the prices or increase the portion sizes. The fake meat substitutes are good but these are outsourced. The rest of the cooking is pretty uninspired.

Now this lovely quaint little cafe may seem hard to find to some but i assure you, its worth the search! Kerri and Kierra are the most friendly and wonderful hosts and the compliments don't stop there. I have frequented many a time for a quick bite, for tea and cake sitting in the garden with my book and most recently for vegan junk. This menu consists of 'beef' burgers, 'chicken burger', 'kebab' etc and my god....i couldn't quite put into words how brilliant it was at the time. In the top best burgers i have ever had, would easily turn any meat eater if they gave it a go. Reasonably priced, i spent £10 and came out full to the brim and counting down the days until i can get back there. Highly recommend and always a pleasure to support our local businesses! Great stuff!

My partner and I ordered two vegan full English breakfasts with additional tofu scramble. We waited a while for our food but that wasn’t the main problem. They had ran out of hash browns for both of us so my hash browns were substituted with freezer potatoes. When our food did arrive, we were very underwhelmed considering the price of the breakfast. The portion was very small, the sausages and potatoes were all freezer food, we received half a fried tomato each, the food was barely warm, didn’t arrive together, and we didn’t even receive any tofu scramble. To add to insult, the orange juice I ordered tasted like a cheap concentrate juice. For how much it cost in total (over £20) this was a joke.

I travel A LOT with kids. Sometimes the kids are cranky and tired and grey English weather does not help. If you are trying to have fun (and stay sane) with kids, food (much food) is a necessary expense. The Garden Shed had kid friendly, nutritious and filling food. The young woman running the place was cheerful, even though she was flying solo that day. The bathroom was clean (again another thing noticed if you have small people.) Also, watch the hood that the Garden Shed is located. Most folks visit uptown. If your looking for places more interesting (and friendly!) head down this way. I'm predicting that in 5 years this will be the hip area where you can't find a rental or a parking spot.

My husband and I are both vegan so we get quite excited when we find a vegan restaurant or cafe. The reviews seemed good so we went. Inside it was dirty and a bit grubby. There was food on show in Tupperware in the fridge which seemed odd. The lady who served us was polite but not overly friendly. It’s a bit awkward because the room is so small. The prices were expensive considering the quality of the cafe. We ended up buying a pastie which wasn’t heated up properly so we ended up throwing it away. It was small and a bit rubbish and cost £3.50. We ended up going somewhere else which had a better environment, was cheaper and the food was nicer.

Two of us went for lunch and we had two Lorne sausage sandwiches and two salads. The sausage sandwich was decent nut loaf on bread - but boring. They should have at least put a slice of tomato and lettuce and a bit of mayo to perk it up. The salad had old lettuce, old red pepper, old tomatoes and no dressing - just a drizzle of syrupy sweet balsamic vinegar - couldn't eat it. In fact we didn't eat much. The service was poor and the cook was angry when I changed my order from kettle chips to salad - I thought kettle chips were chips, instead I was offered a bag of crisps. The restaurant is in desperate need of a good scrub - dust and grime everywhere. The ketchup bottles on the tables were empty and the mustard bottle we were given spewed colourless liquid (gross). One of the worst meals we have ever eaten, and when we told the cook, she was irritated.

I saw this cafe on trip advisor when looking for vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Warwickshire and went for lunch today. Yes it is very small and quaint and with only one person running it this is (as it states) not a fast food place on any level, which is fine as the food is worth waiting for and it is a relaxing environment. They also provide a take out service which is useful for people with limited time available.I think it could be accessible for a wheelchair to the outside space which was not set up today but although it probably is ok to negotiate around the counter to enter the inside space it might take a bit of negotiating.

The Garden Shed Café is exactly that - a little café tucked in the streets of Leamington with a precious garden theme! We were in Leamington Spa as part of university visits (we had heard it was where some of the students live) & we do not have the privilege of vegan restaurants where we live, so this place was a pleasure! We ordered the Breakfast, half a Cheddar& Chutney grilled sandwich, a Lunch wrap, and an Oreo Chocolate Cake.No disappointments, pure happiness. The breakfast was perfect for someone who had not had an English breakfast in almost a decade (since turned vegan). The bread was perfectly toasted, tomatoes well-grilled, as a lover of beans this did not disappoint, and of course the sausage was well made with textured soy protein (personal note: contains olives, but that's just me). Equally so, my father who eats meat enjoyed the sausage just as much! The taste of everything was wonderful, as well as the service. Very friendly atmosphere :-)Overall, delicious homemade food that will satisfy everyone (especially if you like breakfast in non-breakfast time)!

Ive eaten in some really great veggie/vegan eateries over the years so really hoped for something great local to me.Unfortunately this cafe seems to be stuck in the past. Yes the cafe's board does say "comfort food" but this really doesnt have to be the old tired quiche/pizza/stodgy cake story. So in the absence of an interesting spicy soup or raw slaw, I tried the breakfast. The "lawn sausage" was ok if a bit small and dry, but the hash brown was very thin. I was expecting an interesting field mushroom, but again it was very basic. Poor value at nearly £10 with tea/coffee.The cafe is very cramped, which in itself isn't so bad, but this was accentuated with a stereo placed right beside us and combined with the kitchen noise occurring. There was also little apparent ventilation, so we were glad to escape into the outside yard when "the table" became free. All the more of a shame really when there is a source of interesting organic food from the wholefood shop (Gaia) directly in front!

The Black Forest raw cheesecake was also delicious. The décor is bright and welcoming with polka dot tablecloths, prints and ornaments on the walls. Afterwards we had a good chat with the friendly and personable owner while we delighted in watching a little Robin at close quarters near the outside tables and chairs. Apparently the Robin has taken a liking to this area, in particular the loo and it was lovely to see it flitting around, singing, drinking from the bowl of water at our feet and fortunately amenable to a few photographs!

The food is delicious and moreish and the staff both efficient and warm. With outdoor and indoor seating, it's great for kids. 30 Jul 2016I visited The Garden Shed Cafe today (30/07/16). The position is ideal as it's located behind a very good organic food shop and a gym (healthy lifestyle themed area :) ). I also loved the fact that the place was so quiet like it was in a village or something. The two ladies that own the shop were very friendly, helpful and passionate about their work (I am a Greek, so I can understand from miles away who loves cooking or not).Music was very relaxing. The place was small but very cozy. I felt really comfortable and relaxed. As far as the food concerned, we ordered a pizza and a quiche (both came with a side salad). Both were ABSOLUTELY great. I never thought that vegan cuisine can be SOOOO tasty. There was only one negative and I think that the owners ought to fix it. The side salads were both from ALDI :( I know that because I always buy it. It's not the cheapest that ALDI offers, but when you go to a vegan restaurant, you always expect this something little extra :)Prices are great and portions very good.

Me and my wife have only been here once and did enjoy the food and service, definitely be back again and recommend. The food is mainly vegetarian (or vegan) but tastes delicious.

After reading mixed reviews I was a little apprehensive trying this cafe for the first time. I should not have worried. Yes it is a small place and the menu isn't huge but certainly the food I was served, the all day breakfast, was delicious. I was too full to manage dessert so bought some cake to take home which was amazing. I will definitely be returning very soon.

Wow this is a must try...... a little gem home cooking and really lovely setting. The chocolate and orange cake was moist and full of flavour. We were served by Stephanie and she was friendly and helpful.

Having seen photos on facebook and reviews about this café we thought we would try it today. Arrived at just before 2pm on a Saturday and went in and was immediately shocked at seeing everything behind the counter and piles of washing up and food everywhere. Sat down and was looking for all the nice vegan cakes and food we saw photos of but saw nothing like the photos and a near empty fridge in front. We decided to have a drink and asked the lady if she took debit cards and she said she didn't know and would let us know. Took our drink order. We decided to give it a go and have something to eat and looked at menu which was very sparse and just bagettes and choice of 2 or three wraps. I asked re gluten free and a wrap was available and nothing else not even a cake even tho they promote they do these. So surprised that the menu consisted of only a few items and how poor the service was we had to wait ages to be served and for the food, Then the wraps arrived on a small saucer with no presentation or side salad or side dish just plonked on a small plate with bit hummus and sweet potato in. £4.50 each plus drinks - total nearly £13 and we were shocked. Maybe we went in on the wrong day but no soup, not hot dishes or anything like the photos we have seen.

Thrilled to see a newl vegetarian/vegan cafe venture and went along to sample some of the menu after reading good reviews and looking at their (rather limited) website. The opening hours are not listed on the website so we went over lunch time to make sure that it was open. There was only one lady staffing the cafe while we were there and we were the only 'sit in' customers that day though several people called in for take away food. I had the dish of the day, which was Mango Curry and my friend had the Scrambled Tofu' on a tortilla. My curry was very nice and came served with rice. It contained a good selection of veg and had a lovely sweet sauce. Tasty but not sickly. My friend said that his tofu dish was also good, though he wished he had had the curry after he tasted a bit of mine! We then had a lovely slice of Bakewell Tart, which was rich and tasted heavenly. The cafe is small and my friend remarked on the absence of windows, but I didn't really notice. There is a skylight and it was a sunny day, but on reflection it might be a tad gloomy on darker days. We also enquired about opening hours and the lady, although friendly, was a little vague about opening times. I think it is a lovely venture and I wish them well with it, but to make it truly work they need to encourage people to go back by being a little more definate about their opening times. I see on their website there is a supper club(advanced booking only) which I will be trying. If you are local, support it if you can.

We came here after finding good reviews online, for some mid afternoon cake. We popped in earlier in the day to ask what time they were open until and she said 4pm. So we arrived at 3:30pm and asked for a cake, with the reply of "to eat in??". We asked if this was a possibility and the lady said yes but appeared rather unwilling. Then she became a bit warmer towards us and put the music back on. Cakes weren't fabulous, and were a bit too heavy. Hopefully we just caught them on a bad day because of all the other good reviews. We shan't be going back though.

This gorgeous eatery is a refreshing change from chain establishments and boasts all the benefits of a more personal business. I felt personally valued and enjoyed the brilliant attitude of the staff. The food was high quality and very cheap. Do give them a go!

My wife in particular is a big fan of this smashing place. Great to find well prepared veggie/vegan food in Leamington at long last and it's clear the owners are putting their passion on a plate. Very homely, very relaxing and all that delicious food comes with a clear conscience. Proof that meat free meals do not lack in flavour!

Ok so it's tiny and hidden away and vegan so it's niche, but it's great, the food is great, the service although not fast as only one person is friendly and welcoming. A real hidden gem in what is becoming a very chainy town. Have the vegan breakfast the sausage is great and they do cows milk if you prefer.

We have been for breakfast and dinner to this little café and loved it both times.Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and good food. A really welcome alternative to all the big business restaurants flooding into north Leamington. If you want honest food and friendly owners head to south town in general and the Garden shed in particular.

A lovely delightful contained cafe and restaurant! I always go for their vegan dish of the day, and I am never disappointed with the outcome. They have decked out the interior with wonderful, quirky pictures and a few books. The atmosphere inside also has a real informality and openness, with it being easy for me to converse with the staff. The main two women, who run the place, are very warm and engaging, and often due to the proximity of the kitchen to the seating area, and it's open-plan nature; I would quite often strike up an informal chat, while they are working. I have also been told that their cakes are amazing, but I still have not sampled these delights of theirs, as I am more a lunch-time regular! All in all, this place is a must for anyone who enjoys healthy and tasty food!

I came here with a big group of friends. The place is very small but very cute and homely. There was a slightly long wait which is to be expected in a small cafe with a lot of visitors. Don't be put off by this, the food is worth the wait if the café is busy. I promise. We had a pulled "pork" jackfruit wrap which was delicious and we had cakes and homemade fudge for dessert. They have an excellent selection of teas to choose from. And you can phone your order in if you want something quick for lunch which is perfect as I work close by!There was definitely a vegan café shaped hole in leamington before The Garden Shed came and filled it.

Quaint little shed that sells veggie and vegan food. Very friendly staff but menu could be more varied. They have a sign saying about speed and yes if your are in a rush this is not the place.

Good food and vegan food available however stood for 5 minutes at counter as it was busy and no one spoke to say - a table will be free soon etc. everyone seemed busy but you need to do a meet and greet to customers. Food good but service although friendly was a bit disorganised

Glad we found this small cafe at lunchtime. Very tasy and nutritious Goulash, and Creamy veg bake - these specials are recommended. I wish these people well with the forthcoming supper clubs.

We have visited this little cafe before and found it to be a lovely, simple cafe that caters for vegans and vegetarians. The menu is uncomplicated but tasty and the service is very friendly. We were told that they will be offering early evening meals soon on certain nights. At the reasonable prices charged here, this should prove a success.

Called in here around 11am....no cakes on offer, cold in the cafe, music really loud from CD player....sat down, staff friendly but was preoccupied with something else and didn't come to take order, so ordered coffee and water for toddler.....Coffee was weak...more water than coffee...tastelessToddlers water came full to the brim in a jam jar glass...v trendy but not v practical , could have stuck a straw in? No biscuits, cakes on show and not offered any....when we left she was still talking about the other thing she was preoccupied with.....sorry, won't be returning , so much competition in this town...at least get the coffee right

The food was lovely. The cafe is quite small, and the owner had a friend in who was sat at a table. Naturally she talked to him a lot, but as the place is small it made me feel uncomfortable having to listen to it! I'm sure lots of people wouldn't mind, but that and the slight suggestion that everything may not be 100% clean (knives, forks, cups, table clothes) make me unlikely to return even though the food was good.

The Garden Shed Cafe, at 7 Regent Place, is well worth discovering ( it's hidden behind Gaia - an excellent wholefood shop). The menu includes full vegan breakfasts, lunchtime snacks - from wonderful falafel wraps to simpler, yet still tasty, beans on toast with a choice of breads - main meals (chick pea curry, pasta bake, sweet potato & lentil shepherd's pie for example) and delightfully tempting, delicious cakes and puddings. The food is freshly prepared and well presented in the cheerful and resful cafe. The meals are incredible value: you can order food to take away; my wife and I had cakes to take away on both the days we lunched there!I strongly recommend The Garden Shed Cafe to anyone in Leamington, vegan or not, who wants a really good meal!!

Charming, cosy café serving freshly made, tasty vegetarian and vegan food at reasonable prices. Mostly just one owner doing the cooking and serving at a time so you need to say if you are in a hurry. Open daytime only at present but with the possibility of some evening opening coming soon. It is tucked out of the way at the bottom end of town so gets very little passing trade and word of mouth is vital. So to all local vegetarians and vegans (and anyone who likes fresh, homemade food which just happens to contain no meat or fish) try it, enjoy it and pass on the good news.

Found the place, very small. Heard some good reviews. The day we went a small child was waiting tables! Suppose they have to earn pocket money! The food was OK, but nothing special and the cake was very dry.

the hostess is very friendly . The menu is limited but there are about 4 standard wrap fillings and there is a vegan hot choice which changes nearly daily. We had the tangine which was nicely presented and tasty. My hubbie had raspberry & coconut cake and I had lime and coconut cheesecake. All very nice. The main meal was £6 and deserts were £3 each. Certainly recommendWhilst the cafe is up a back street the environment inside is quite pretty and clean

The food in here is amazing. We ordered 2 x tapas each which was plenty. I am a vegetarian and there were plenty of choices for me. Its up a side street but definitely worth finding. Also spoke to the manager who made us feel very welcome.
