The Garden Room Cafe in Test Valley

Was hoping to have lunch here as a reviewer praised it. There were four customers, it was quite dark, the tables were dirty, the floor was laden with crumbs. The lady behind the counter didn't look up from her phone. Needless to say we left. I've just read that the team there are from the recently closed, Choice Plants cafe, which was excellent. Hopefully cleanliness and service will improve. Should be a gold mine as there are caravanners on site most of the year.

Fantastic breakfast with proper butchers sausages from a local butcher. Staff are very pleasant providing great service. Not expensive either.

Called in while staying at a near by caravan park [also reviewed ] Had cream tea and ice cream , really lovely tasty and fresh . Staff pleasant and helpful , service a little slow but we had plenty of time so not an issue for us . Flowers in the garden centre absolutely stunning , seating in a few areas , indoor , outdoor and shaded .

The Garden Room Cafe on Hill Farm Park is well worth a visit ..... and another and another!! The cafe is located beside the shop and post office within the caravan park and there's plenty of parking space. One can sit inside the cafe or outside in the part-covered courtyard area. The current menu includes options for breakfast and lunch including paninis, toasted sandwiches, sandwiches and jacket potatoes, all made to order with a variety of fillings. There is also a great meat and cheese platter, and they do a delicious smoked salmon over scrambled eggs on toast. Our favourites are the smashed avocado with a poached egg on toast, and the chicken bacon and avocado salad both very good and highly recommended!!! The coffee is very good too and there's a selection of other drink options if coffee isn't for you. There's also a great selection of ice cream treats; do try the warm chocolate brownie with ice cream - scrumptious!! We stay at the caravan park on a regular basis during the season and really appreciate having such a great place to visit for a bite to eat in a relaxing atmosphere. Great location, good friendly service and quality food - what more could we ask for?

Lovely cafe on the site of Hill Farm Caravan Park. Breakfast, pastries and other nibbles available. Delicious hot chocolate and other hot drinks, with a little icecream bar outside too. Nice to pop in if staying on site for a cuppa and a snack.
