Frango Grill in Test Valley

First time there as a Turkish restaurant. They still do the Frango chicken, but also now have a range of Turkish food and burgers too. We had the mixed kebabs. Choice of two from kofta (adana), shish and chicken. Wonderful kebabs full of flavour, lean and served with lovely fresh salad, some sauces and we had the piri piri chips. Absolutely fabulous lunch. We will definitely go back.

Good food with healthy quantities. Bottomless soft drinks a definite plus.

Food was great, but staff are not very attentive.

Booked a table for 8 and was able to ask for a certain table . Staff were all very accommodating especially when there was actually 9 people. Service was great and food was very tasty, well done to the chefs as it was busy but and food come out altogether. Really enjoyable evening. Thank you to all the staff for making us welcome nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely recommend

Very good got food fast very villing

Recent change of management so I was a little hesitant as I loved this place. Wasn’t disappointment! They’ve expanded the menu to include some fantastic Turkish cuisine while maintaining the top quality Portuguese. Wife, daughter (5) and I ate - sticky wing platter, quarter pounder cheeseburger and 4 sides (children meal separate) and polished it off. Could have had far more to be fair. Highly recommend as always. Went with newborn twins at lunch-time and it’s family friendly, chilled vibe.

Stopped here on the way back to Essex from Somerset for some dinner. Had the chef’s special platter which was very nice. Meat quality was spot on. Service was pretty good, could’ve been good to give plates and all from the start but no issue once we asked for them. Pretty good for the price.

Took my grandson for lunch. Tried food from their Turkish menu, absolutely delicious, well presented and hot. Will definitely go again.

Food was ok, delivery driver friendly but a £17.50 mixed shish with 8 cubes of meat is expensive.

We had Chicken Shish, lots of salad, couscous, the chicken wings were huge, peri-peri chips were good, highly recommend, staff were lovely.

Amazing new kebabs served fresh and delicious

My meal took 50 minutes to arrive. Would understand if it was busy, but it wasn't. No apology or explanation was given for the delay. Food was average on arrival but at this point I was tempted to start eating my arm. Wouldn't recommend.

2nd delivery 2nd issue , £1 worth of salad sold for £8.95 might wanna check the date on them croutons because they are way out of date , please don't contact me offering me discount on next order , I won't be coming back

Visited a few days ago and it's better than ever! It's has slightly improved decor and there is now somebody that's front of house who is attentive. We did have to wait longer than we've ever waited before but the guy kept us informed and it was certainly worth the wait. We also had some small complimentry plates of bread and dips when we were seated. Food was just as good as its ever been

I always enjoyed the local frangos, was up until the new ownership fantastic value and quality. NYE they were not particularly busy at the point of my order. The service was lack lustre , don't understand collection process, no greeting point like before, service mediocre in professionalism. The food Chicken - more greasy previous people massively better Chips - they were kebab chips not the old fluffy chips Spicy rice - certainly not spicy and more like vegetable rice. Salad - omg it was like the dead ends of a salad bar at the end of an evening, limp lettuce, sour tomato and soggy cucumber. I really don't like writing a negative review, however the old frangos was far superior to the new frangos. They really need to improve food quality and service. It has gone down hill. Having read new reviews I had high hopes, however it is the polar opposite as the food quality is nowhere near as others have described. As I was a takeaway, I really didn't have time to drive back and complain. A lot of the food was waste as it was poor. I am devastated as frangos was one of my favourite places to eat and enjoy for all occasions. I fear with this level of poor quality that massive improvement is needed to win back my custom.

Great food and atmosphere. Came here when it was just Frangos and wasn’t overly impressed. New and improved the food was great. Chicken moist and tender, seasoned fries and corn on the cob spot on. Owner brought out some freshly made bread with dips on the house to start and they were lovely. Friendly staff and very clean. Owner checked in with us before we left to check how everything was, very professional. I would prefer Table service over ordering at the bar but that would be my only comment. Highly recommended!

Now known as Frango Grill &Shish, we went in for lunch to try the Turkish menu. The food was fabulous and we were given some free dips and bread. Our server was a lovely friendly lady, which made our visit even better. Will be returning

We had best experience in Andover as a Turkish. Food is incredible. Can’t recommend enough this place. Everyone should try this restaurant.

Ate here as the fish and chip shop didnt want to serve us 25 mins prior to closing lol. Had an absolutely great meal here, chicken was super tasty, nice fries, bottomless drinks, 5 adults for 75 quid, result.

First visit to Frango Grill and we came away full and very happy. Our group had some of their Turkish dishes which were very well received. The chicken dishes were well cooked and the staff very friendly. We hope to visit again when next in the area.

I had the lamb beyti from their newly expanded menu and it was so delicious. The turkish bread, bulghur wheat and salad was so tasty. The lamb itself was moreish and the team were super friendly. Food collection was swift and food was properly packed.

Great food, fast service and reasonably priced. The new addition to the menu is great, would recommend the Lamb shish.

Came here to eat after going to see a movie. Wasn't too busy and there was a nice atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming. Food was good (great fries). When we'd finished, someone took our plates, reminded us we had refillable drinks and told us to take our time and not feel wet had to rush away. If only other places looked after you like this.

What on earth have you done ? We went to Frango’s and offered a Turkish menu? I thought it was kind of sly Portuguese Nando’s? Poor food slow service confusing? Take out phone prefers prioritised sit in service. Great staff though friendly polite professional… manager ear wigging Not professional. Not returning.

Our first visit and hopefully not our last. Tried items from their Turkish and regular chicken menus and everything was delicious. A particular favourite was the Beetroot Tarator which was perfect. Great staff with a very warm welcome, the Manager was very friendly too.

Only the second time I've been here, it's very nice, clean and tidy, friendly service and the food is lovely, i had the cheese burger with piri piri fries and garlic bread, very enjoyable. Coleslaw is very nice. The guys make you feel very welcome.

Quick and tasty lunch. Very reminiscent of Nando’s. The chicken was well seasoned, we had the spicy and the herb. Loved the peas and side salad. The coleslaw was much too heavy on the mayo.

I do not recommend, I ordered chicken burger and garlic bread, the "burger" was a panini roll get dry chicken one piece of dead lettuce and 3 slices of tomato. Garlic bread was as well panini roll, generally joke, if u want eat decent food go to nandos.

Second time we’ve ordered and the notes we’ve left asking for mayo to be kept off the burgers have been ignored, resulting in two meals being binned. Shame because when we’ve received the food correctly made it has been really nice but it has put us off ordering.

Lovely food, staff were friendly, welcoming, and the right level of attentive. I had the chicken thighs which were delicious, and ended up with enough to take some home!

Good for that peri-peri kick without having to spend a fortune! Menu is reasonably priced and it hits all the marks of the usual chicken place without the price tag. Garlic bread is decent and the boneless platter is a feast for 2!

Visited with the family after a long day out. Every dish was well cooked, generous portions and nicely presented. Would definitely recommend and visit again if we are in the area

We come in here once a month or so to treat ourselves, the staff are fantastic and food is great! Prices are spot on, and portion sizes are slightly large for me, but who doesn't like leftovers? Highly recommend!

this is like nandos, but 100% better. if you like nandos come here, you will be pleasantly surprised at how good it is. albay and molly made the experience especially pleasant, 5* all day long

If you’ve ever had nandos - this place is trying to do what nandos does but (sorry to say) isn’t the greatest at it. My parents absolutely love it but personally I’m not a fan. The sauce selection is very limited, food doesn’t have great deal of flavour & its not cooked great. We’ve given this place a go 3 times and for the price you pay it’s definitely not worth it & personally I wouldn’t come back.

Staying in Andover and decided to try this place. Service, welcome and food were first class. The food is reasonably priced and arrives at your table quickly. Lots of choice and all cooked to perfection. Loved it I really did. If you haven’t been then go as soon as you can.

Food is delicious and fresh as usual! Arrived in about 15 mins, just fabulous as we were soooo hungry.

First time going to Frango's wasn't too bad. Food was decent, good atmosphere and the team there was really good as well. Good sized portions as I had the double chicken wrap and it was HUGE! Would definitely recommend this place, would recommend going with friends as well.

I travel round the UK for work and usually my biggest issue is FOOD. But since I found this joint, I haven't been worried of what I am eating. The place is extremely clean and tidy. The ambience and the vibes are just really first class. CUSTOMER SERVICE is 💯/💯. Three days in row I have come here for dinner and all three times the food has been absolutely banging. I wish they had branches across the country. They even play Afrobeatz frequently. Lol.chai. I gabdun this place oloun.
