The Garden Room at Floral Media in Newark and Sherwood

Went here today with my exercise class. We had hot drink and biscuits then a talk about floral media then a demonstration of a tied bouquet of flowers from the gardens where couples can have their wedding. Then a delicious buffet prepared by Steven plenty of choice and delicious A good outing and warm welcome from Paula and Steven.

We got married here in August 2018 and what can I say... The venue, service and staff were exceptional. Paula and Steve put us as ease from day one and really took any stress out of the occasion. Nothing was too much hassle and we trusted Paula and Steve to make it happen without needing to follow up or worry about it, I cant recommend this venue, the owners or the team enough, the day went brilliantly and do it all over again if we could. If you are thinking of getting married or holding a special event in Nottinghamshire (or anywhere else for that matter) then give the guys at Floral Media a go and you will not be disappointed! Thanks again for everything!

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of attending a golden wedding anniversary lunch at Floral Media. The anniversary couple had asked if I would take some photos to keep as memories of the day. When we arrived I couldn't believe that this venue is less than 15 minutes away from our front door and we had never been before. The venue is to say the least - STUNNING!!! The grounds and gardens are wonderful and the Garden Room is beautiful. The staff members couldn't have been welcoming and throughout the whole afternoon were attentive, helpful and cheerful - one would imagine it was difficult for them as it was 30 C outside and one of the most humid days on record! Food service was impeccable; I have to say I was dreading the food offering as at events like these the food is normally a lacklustre buffet but NOT this one!!! A great selection of carver meats served with a well thought out offering of various salads, vegetables, frittata - you name it; and it was fab! Deserts really are not my thing but according to my wife and the other guests they couldn't choose between them so had a little of everything. To cater for non desert eaters a selection of cheeses were provided and while the choice was small the quality was superb. So ultimately the question stands - would I recommend Floral Media to people? The resounding answer is YES!!!!! A huge thank you to the owners and staff for making the day so enjoyable!!!

Had a fantastic time at this venue for our club's 65th anniversary dinner. The service was excellent and the presentation of the food was lovely. A good option is that guests can take their own drinks along. The highlight was a floral demonstration by Paula and Jade who are an inspiration in their quest to also raise funding for the breast cancer unit at city hospital along with all their other fantastic adventures. The surrounding gardens are also a treat for the eyes. Well worth convincing your group to book this venue for an event.

I was here for a birthday dinner and cèilidh (English country dance). Our meal was really good, with chicken, beef or lentil pies offered. We had ice cream for dessert. A lovely evening.

We had a really lovely day here at floral media at our friends wedding. The gardens and wedding reception were lovely. There was plenty of seating in the garden and lots of games for the children. The drinks and appetisers on arrival were good. The meal, wine and setting was very good. The waitress was very helpful and asked people to visit the buffet in small groups. We had never heard of this place before but would recommend it to our friends.

I visited with my family for the Easter Carvery. The atmosphere is lovely, staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious and homemade. This wasn't my first visit, but it was my first visit since becoming vegan last year. The Easter event was bookings only so I let them know I was vegan when we booked, which they said was no problem at all. I was given a special menu when we arrived which included mushroom soup and bread for starter; a homemade butternut squash pie with spinach and soya cream cheese for main; and a blueberry and blackberry pie or a fruit salad for dessert. All of which were delicious! They also had soya milk for teas and coffees. The staff were really helpful and informative without me having to ask. I was told that the carvery veg was all cooked in olive oil (not butter), the only things I wasn't able to have were the Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese. They had also prepared a jug of vegan gravy especially for me. Nothing was a problem for them and it was a really lovely meal. Thank you! :-)

From beginning to end !! Cannot fault this wonderful place ! The owners & staff just couldn't do enough, marvellous food , fab hog roast in the evening by a log basket !! So relaxing& totally different ! Thank you all .

My daughter held her wedding here in June , it is a wonderful venue and they cannot do enough for you . They made it a truly special day and all worked so hard to achieve perfection . Would definitely recommend this venue .

Fantastic venue for a wedding with a difference, totally unexpected afternoon cream tea meal. Great to relax in the garden afterwards before the hog roast. Gardens totally secure for the little ones to wander

We attended a family wedding reception at Floral Media on Saturday 27 June 2015. It has a marvelous garden area, very restful, very quiet just what is needed. The staff are wonderful, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely recommend this venue for parties.

What a fun place! Slightly quirky, sort of shabby chic, but it was a lovely wedding and we really enjoyed it.
