I had the gammon which was see through!!! The roast potatoes looked as if they had been fried but when I put the knife in they were hollow. The gravy was wishy washy!!! I would not eat there again even though I live around the corner!!!

Very poor food offering (Vegan "chicken" burger, chips and salad). Sadly it was tastless and unappetising and the salad was minimal and not very fresh looking. I left most of it on the plate and moved on!!

The Garden Cafe is within the Norton Garden Centre and I had stopped for some garden items so thought I'd see what was on offer at the cafe. There was a good specials board with a soup of the day and other choices but I went for the cauliflower cheese tart which came with chips and salad. It was busy with several large groups in for lunch/afternoon tea but it is very spacious and comfortable in the cafe. My meal arrived quickly and was delicious. The cheesiest cauliflower cheese and a crisp thin pasty case. Also cauliflower still had some "bite" not cooked to mush. I will definitely visit again perhaps taking some family for Sunday lunch. All in all, couldn't fault it for a tasty lunch

Probably the best Sunday Roast I've had anywhere! Service was quick and friendly - Both of us had Beef and it was perfectly cooked, everything was tasty including the Belgian Apple Cake for pudding.

Breakfast finishes at 11:30hrs and to be fair we did arrive late at 11:20, place wasn't too busy and only one couple in front of us plus one couple being served. I was having a Daddy and Daughter day and my 13 year old one really wanted to go here so I obliged. With 10 mins to spare we were pleased to be there but the staff were against us I am sure! I have never seen service so slow in all my life, it was so painful to watch, there seemed to be enough staff but just one serving and wow a tortoise would have achieved more. When they had finally finished serving the couple who had been there since we arrived my daughter woke me to move forward because the staff were now buzzing around cleaning the floor in the queue due to a spillage, this again seemed to put everyone working there into a state of frozen animation as they all watched! Now our time was eaten up but surely due to the nightmare they were causing they could not possibly deny me and my daughter the breakfast menu!! Then the women serving proudly announced to the now massive queue that breakfast service was over, my world crumbled! it was only 11:28hrs surely this couldn't be but alas she was serious and their total incompetence and slow service destroyed my daughters wishes . I had to turn and leave with daughter in tow and we went and enjoyed a great full breakfast at Tj's café at a fraction of the cost! This is isn't the first time I have felt the ageing process whilst waiting in the queue here and only the day earlier my mother and grand mother left after waiting forever to be served, I thinK my grandmother was worried it would eat her few remaining years away so they went to Janes Pantry!

We have met friends for breakfast here ever since it changed hands a few years ago. At first the breakfast and the service was really good value and carefully cooked and presented. I’m sad to say it has gradually gone down hill. Every time a new chef takes over it gets even worse. Thinking we would give it one last chance we met our friends there for breakfast…. I’m afraid it will be the last time. The breakfast is now Much smaller and bacon was so hard you couldn’t cut it. Obviously either kept warmed or used up from yesterday. Half a huge old mushroom smaller hash brown and an over cooked frilly egg. One of our number can’t have eggs so asked for it to be left off ( no offer of an alternative bacon or sausage like other establishments) all in all a real disappointment. Such a shame because as gardencentres go it one of the best for plants. Shame about the cafe😢

The Garden Breakfast £6 Recommended by a friend, a little disappointed, food not very warm. Bacon tasted 'old'. What is it with cafes not being able to heat baked beans! We both left the bacon and sausage and most the beans. Sorry wouldn't come back for this. Plus side The cakes are amazing( from previous visit)

I have been here twice in 2 months; the first time for toasted sandwiches and hot drinks, the second time today for an afternoon tea. Both visits have been extremely enjoyable. The afternoon tea was very good. Lovely fresh sandwiches and a nice selection of other savouries, which was a real surprise and all delicious. They have the balance of sweet and savoury just right! Everything presented beautifully. Scones and the selection of mini cake bites were tasty. Staff are friendly and made us feel very looked after. The restaurant has a nice relaxing vibe about it and is laid out well. Feels very new inside. We will be back again!

The place is lovely and very cosy. The staff were very good, maybe not as welcoming as they could be, looked busy but we were the only ones there. We joined them for Breakfast, coffee was luke warm and the tap water smelt and tasted weird. We had two lots of poached eggs which were priced at £6.50 each. We had one piece of sourdough toast and two poached eggs. The toast was not buttered! That's a hell of a price for that. We had to ask for butter which was provided, but surely should be necessary. We also had a lady with mobility issues with us. She had called ahead and was told that there was a ramp, which was great. Until she got there and parked and the ramp was on the front of the property, quite a distance from the car park. She had a real struggle to get in on her own as she could not make it around the front, so she had to make it up the precarious steps with her wheeled trolley. I think this should be looked at and improved so the property is easily accessible from the car park. Overall, would not recommend which is a shame as I have been before and it was nice, but this time, the food and drink was poor.

Very disappointed, walked into the counter. I asked for a sausage bap. Was sent back to find it in the fridge. Staff didn't help just served the people that had later arrived. Putting me at the back of the queue.. RUDE.

Had a late night last minute check in due to needing a place to stay as my in laws had covid (i was meant to be staying at theirs). I was anxious and panicky about it but check in was easy and the room was clean and quaint
