Chicken was on burgers was dry and the chicken pieces were very oily

My food was very Cold chips was cold and hard couldn’t eat it.

Food cold & testeless, delivery very late. Won't bother again.

The delivery time kept being pushed back. At one point the delivery time was an hour and 45 minutes later than the original time given. There was no option for us to cancel in the app. I tried to call the restaurant but no-one answered the phone. We would have cancelled if we knew how late the food would be. When the food arrived it was totally cold. Cold congealed chicken and chips is not very pleasant to eat. We won’t order from there again. Really disappointed.

Customer service is very bad and staff was very rude and unprofessional they didn’t help out my order . And i pay again KFC management needs to change staff or giving training how to treat customers.

The Fleet has had its ups and downs over the years, but we thought that we would give it a go. We chose an evening meal on ‘Butcombe Wednesday’ to take advantage of the discount. It was really faultless. Pleasant surroundings, good service by friendly staff, food well cooked and nicely presented. Based on this experience, can thoroughly recommend.

Ordered at 8:24 and had to wait till 10:00 to eat my food

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Fleet at Twyning , and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The Fleet boasts a charming and cozy interior with tasteful decor that exudes a rustic yet modern feel. The outdoor seating area is a real highlight, offering stunning views of the river – an ideal spot for a relaxing meal, especially on a sunny day.

We visited the Fleet on Sunday as a family gathering. Staff was very attentive and polite. We absolutely loved our Sunday Roasts, but also, the Fishcakes were so delicious. We can’t wait to visit again.

So, the food is not too bad, but they're open until 11pm and before 10pm they were out of burgers... Chicken place that runs out of chicken... They didn't switch off all the options on their terminals, these were Christmas burgers, we ordered and those were out we were told. Can't remember the last time this outlet served us well 😞 and they closed early too.

Couldn’t even find the section of the car park to get to the KFC and by the time we found where to go we were past the no entry signs and couldn’t turn around to get in. This is not where you wanna go if you’re in a hurry and never been here before

Arrived 9.30am the manager said we can sit anywhere, so I did then got told the table was reserved for later. So sat by the window instead. Asked for a coffee, it was Luke warm, so they changed it. There was no music playing or crackers on the table, no fire lit iether and not even a tree up either felt like we were sitting in a cold library. It was also freezing in there, and the heaters were off. Asked them to turn them on, not really good it was freezing outside they should make sure the heaters are on. The manager took my drink without me even finishing it. Asked for another My mate had to wave people down in the kitchen as no one was at the bar. The food was ok but cold and veg rock hard. We have been here many times, but to be honest, this time was a letdown.

Good location, especially in the summer, but there was a long wait for our coffees and mine was luck warm when I actually got it. Too much hassle to ask the young lady to make it hotter as the queue was lengthy. No cake/packeted biscuits available and overpriced.

I was violently ill after eating here, both ends, absolute carnage for 2 days and very painful. Missed 2 days of work

I had the "bacon butty" at £8.50. It's a good location, the staff were nice and times are hard in the hospitality industry but it was still £8.50 for a briochey sort of bun with rashers of decently cooked bacon inserted - no butter or sauce. Picture attached.

The place is lovely and very cosy. The staff were very good, maybe not as welcoming as they could be, looked busy but we were the only ones there. We joined them for Breakfast, coffee was luke warm and the tap water smelt and tasted weird. We had two lots of poached eggs which were priced at £6.50 each. We had one piece of sourdough toast and two poached eggs. The toast was not buttered! That's a hell of a price for that. We had to ask for butter which was provided, but surely should be necessary. We also had a lady with mobility issues with us. She had called ahead and was told that there was a ramp, which was great. Until she got there and parked and the ramp was on the front of the property, quite a distance from the car park. She had a real struggle to get in on her own as she could not make it around the front, so she had to make it up the precarious steps with her wheeled trolley. I think this should be looked at and improved so the property is easily accessible from the car park. Overall, would not recommend which is a shame as I have been before and it was nice, but this time, the food and drink was poor.

I bloody paid for the sauce and your bloody staff didn’t put any. Had to eat my chicken super dry.

Recommended by our accommodation hosts nearby, we were not disappointed with our visit. Although we booked a table I think we would have managed to secure one had we not have done, as the restaurant was fairly quiet at 7.30pm when we arrived. We were greeted by friendly bar staff and looked after extremely well by all we spoke with. Both my wife and I ordered the battered fish and chips and were not disappointed. The food was hot and delicious without a delay in service. A delightful evening in pleasant company and atmosphere. Well worth a visit now if passing or staying locally and I would imagine even more popular in the summer months.

This pubs location beside the river is perfect. The weather was less than perfect so the 4 of us ate inside. We hade a celiac and a vegan in our group. The vegan food is usually a burger or something less imaginative. We ordered mains and desserts. The gammon was perfect. The right amount of chips, lovely meat beautifully cooked. The gluten free fish and chips very enjoyable The 🌟 of the show was the pea mezaleena. Lemons, peas, vegan cheese pasta. Amazing, tasty. In fact, the best vegan food my friend has ever eaten. Arrived for Sunday lunch, bought a lager and a wine, cost £17.45, what a rip off, we left before the meal as this is pure profiteering, there is no need to charge this amount for 2 drinks and went to the village inn nearby.

Fast service, piping hot food. Best service station in the UK. Chicken was piping hot. Chips beautiful new favour. Mini fillets are excellent. Service was excellent and pletty place's to sit. Rice boxes are excellent, too.

Lovely pub, right on the river in a lovely little village but i can totally understand why the village inn is the better choice...£28.45 for 4 drinks 😱 first and last time we'll be drinking there

Had the fish burger - 3 tiny pieces of battered fish which were more batter than fish. My husband had the fish and chips - one of the smallest pieces of fish I have ever seen! Not sure if this is meant to be posh nosh but for £18 we left hungry. Left via back garden and they were serving pizza - we would have sat outside if I’d have known this. Food tasted good but poor value for the cost

Shocking full of idiots on paddle boards causing problems with othe river user's. Lots of colourful language used not good with all the children around.. Not mention the guy who throwing empty bottles off the side of his craft .

The Fleet Inn at Twyning is an impressive pub restaurant located at the end of Fleet Road and Lane directly beside the River Avon. In addition to it's attractive cozy interior it has a covered outdoor seated tabled area together with a large picnic tabled area on the grass by the river. The menu has a range of dishes to suit everyone's tastes from light snacks to full meals. The bar is well stocked with a good choice of fine wines and popular draft ales on tap. Definitely worth a visit - highly recommended.

Arrived at 6.30pm. Ordered drinks and asked for a menu. We were the kitchen was closed and only pizza available. When I asked why I was told they’d been busy and sold out of everything!! I find that very hard to believe! We ordered and ate a very mediocre pizza and garlic bread. At 8pm we decided to order a coffee only to be told that they’d called ‘last orders’!!! My friend went to the bar and spoke with a barman who agreed to make us coffees. We had driven from Cheltenham on a warm summers evening to enjoy a meal by the river and feel very disappointed by the lack of food choices and closing the bar extremely early. Quite a few people arrived during our visit only to be turned away due to the bar closing so ridiculously early!! The overall impression was that the staff had, had enough and just wanted to go home early. A terrible way to run a business and encourage customers to return!!

2-7-24. 3pm ish Conrad was one of the most polite people to serve us in long time, smiling, helpful, initiative used when suggesting options. Genuine person and a credit to any business. Food was great 👍

I am shopping at your KFC restaurant and I am very disappointed with your service and the behavior of some of your employees and that when ordering over £30 I have to pay for sauces, dishonesty, theft and slander, I will be forced to write this to the KFC headquarters because it is simply stealing. people, it's not only that the portions are getting smaller and more expensive, but there's also the creepiness in the form of paid sauces, I don't recommend this place to all normal people 🤢🤮🤢🤮 I want to puke 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Placed the order. No delivery for 1 hour 45 mins, driver could not find the house. Food was very cold. Not a very happy customer!!!!

Lovely old fashion pub with pleasant and helpful staff. Great Asian specials as well as traditional pub food on offer. We will visit again.

We had a brilliant night here celebrating a 40th birthday. The Fleet Inn went out of their way to set up a corner of the pub, with a partition making it more private. George, our server was incredible! So thoughtful, friendly and welcoming and made the night really memorable. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend visiting.

Our annual family get together - three from the north; two from the south west; two from the US - was celebrated at this picturesque and stylish spot for lunch today. Not one, even slightly, negative comment about the food or ambience was uttered. It's a lovely pub with interesting and tasty food plus friendly staff - with a particular mention for the fabulous redhead who welcomed and entertainingly served us all! Highly recommended.

Wrong order and the manager took the order Peoples food left on the counter because the manager isn’t calling the numbers out loud enough and he don’t seam to be interested

If you want a tasty meal that is unusual then try the Fleet Inn at Twyning. We had lunch there this week and we find the menu changes frequently and I’d often unusual. Well worth giving it a try.

Struggling to perform the basics of an already basic service

Assuming its same as most chicken places - Didn't visit Kfc, only popped in the services for the loo & a Starbucks.

I haven’t received the right order

This was a Sunday afternoon, October 7th, quite busy, but the majority of people outside by the river. Drinks and food could be ordered outside using bar codes at tables. I went inside when just one person was serving a long queue. It was obvious that outside orders took preference over the queue, with trays taken outside and empties bought in. Theses were then washed, ignoring the queue. Several times, a man came in, went behind the bar, and walked out. Again, the queue, now even longer, was ignored. After 10 minutes waiting,I left. In all that time, just one person was served. I accept it was busy, but having just one behind the bar is dreadful. Also, the queue, which was now about 8 people long, was ignored as drinks and food were taken outside. I will not go there again.

Lovely location next to river .....arrived to find outdoor pizza oven on the terrace was closed for season ....no mention of this on pub website .....had drink while waiting for friends to arrive .....assuming the chap who approached us was the manager ......asked if we were eating we said yea ...were waiting for friends before we ordered ......he then came out again a little while later and asked us again ......seemed impatient at us .....we were given menus and immediately we thought how overpriced everything was ...... looking at another couples food next to us ....they had haddock and chips .....portions extremely small for cost ! 17.95 ! In fact one of them preceded to go and buy a bag of crisps !!! Because still hungry ....... When our friends arrived we went and sat in pub ..... ordered food with trepidation...... amongst us we had the burger and chips .....pie and mash ....calamari skin on fries ......food was very underwhelming......tiny portion no side salad with burger ..... calamari was ok ....but more than that the atmosphere was cold .......we were only ones left in there after our food ....no surprise ......dont bother with here if hungry.....alot better places and much more value for money elsewhere .....dissapointed.....and manager needs some lessons in hospitality

Brilliant pub right next to the river. Spotless bedroom, lovely Sunday roast and super breakfast. Ant, the manager, could not have been more helpful - and friendly staff too.

We stayed here overnight for my birthday before going to Malvern flea market the next day. The room was fairly large & comfortable with a lovely view over the river. Bathroom has a good shower but just a couple of tiny niggles here….there needs desperately to be a light over or near mirror as the room is quite dark due to a split level ceiling blocking the ceiling light , a shaver point would be a benefit & a shelf or cupboard for personal toiletries. Having said that the complimentary toiletries provided are beautiful & way above other hotels….they smell delicious! There is also a mini bar stocked with various goodies & snacks too! We decided to eat there for convenience on Sunday night but there was only pizza on offer which, although delicious, wasn’t what we wanted but I couldn’t find any details of food service times for other food. Plenty of real ales on offer & a vast selection of other drinks too. Breakfast the next day was eaten outside overlooking the river. My eggs Benedict was lovely & my husbands full English was good although it would have been nice to have a toast rack with our breakfasts as in other hotels. We will definitely return & try other hotels /pubs in the group too as they are very dog friendly!

We have just woke up to stunning views of the river Avon where the Fleet has its own moorings if you don’t want to stop aboard. The rooms are very well appointed and fastidiously maintained and cleaned. When it comes to food ie breakfast they are done to order and cooked to perfection with the benefits of being served by a very convivial young lady called Meggie who would have no problem acquiring a place on any catwalk one can only assume finishing schools are still in existence. Stay and eat here you will not be disappointed.

The peace of looking out on the river on a summer's evening with a drink in hand is unsurpassed at the Fleet Inn. Lots of outdoor seating, well spaced out with the river being centre stage. Pleasant staff. The only quibble was the price - 3 soft drinks and 3 bags of crisps was over £12!

my friends and i often visit the fleet, and i have to say i enjoy it very much. The views are lovely looking out and the river, and the staff are always pleasant!! My only negative comment is that they don’t advertise when they’re using the pizza oven, and also don’t have frequent, weekly days that they’re serving pizza. I can honestly say that their pizza is amazing and some of the best pizza i have EVER had. BUT… i often find myself disappointed after going to the fleet, looking forward to my pizza and then them not having it on that day, because they don’t advertise it anywhere that i am aware of (correct me if i’m wrong). I also favor the pizza because nothing on the main menu fulfills my picky taste buds!! (nothing personal, the menu is reasonable). Personally i think their pizza should be permanently on the main menu!!!

The eating areas were quite busy but we found a table for two on the upper deck. It is a limited menu but we were both very pleased with our food and the service. The two people serving were very " switched on and attentive. Because the menu is limited, I would not want to go too often, because there was no other particularly interesting dish to interest me. On the other hand, an a nice day it has great ambience

We have had several lunch and evening meals here and always enjoyed them. Today we had an outside table which gives a lovely view of the River and passing barges and boats. It really is a great location here. The service was exceptionally good with two young ladies working swiftly, efficiently and with a friendly manner. I had the gammon eggs and chips which was well cooked and a sensible portion for a reasonable price. The date and syrup pudding wasn’t as moist as another Butcombe Pub we tried last week. The Waitress stepped in very quickly and brought extra jugs of caramel sauce which did the trick. (Now that is good Service and keeping customers happy.) The other three members of the party also enjoyed the food, the location and the exceptional Service. What more is there to say !

Good clean bright service station

Booked in as a last mint trip for my birthday. We booked this place because it was dog friendly. OMG. What an amazing place. The lovely lass with the red hair. Showed us to our room. Which was above and beyond our expectations. She couldn't do enough for us. We settled in and went to the bar for a drink and sat outside on the deck chairs. Watching the world go by. We had a table booked for 6 pm. They have two menus. One for the outside pizza oven. And one for inside in the restaurant and bar area. It was so lovely to have our dog with us. Another lovely lass served us. Dark hair with blue tint. The staff there work none stop. For a Thursday night the place was heaving. How they managed such a fast turnaround and delicious food I won't ever know. We had the best night's sleep. Waking up to a river view and open countryside. Breakfast was again very tasty and filling. Book it people. You won't ever get the complimentary stuff anywhere else that you get here.

Staff poor, food was dry, captive audience allows business to run. If this was town centre with other choices food amd staff would turn me off going.

Very poor ploughman’s (not at all traditional) and expensive. A real shame, we’ve given this place a go three times now because the Sunday roast was very good and it’s a great location but since then have been very disappointed on two occasions.

Stayed a couple of nights as a base for the Cotswolds and some walking. Welcome could have been better and the room was a bit needing of a check; bin hadn’t been changed and no cafetière for coffee. Also a few cobwebs about. Comfy bed...

I visited the fleet with a group of friends recently and I must say it’s the best meal out we’ve had in ages. Our waitress Cara was great and so welcoming, the food here is delicious! Especially the wood fired pizzas!!!

Lovely room overlooking the river Avon, delightful staff and the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. Excellent meal on Saturday evening.

I came in for dinner with my wife. The waitress, Kay recommended the chicken thighs which I thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back and hope for another amazing recommendation.
