I had the best service at the Wheatpieces. Nothing was too much trouble when I came in with my Autistic son. One member of staff Henry was particularly attentive and I can't thank him enough for everything he did last Saturday evening. Thank you so much, we will be returning very soon. *****

We ate at The Wheatpieces a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at the standard and quality of the food. The service was great we were served by Adam he was attentive and kind Overall a really nice lunch out.

Great atmosphere, brilliant service by Adam, couldn’t be happier to help.

Lunch was very well cooked steak delicious, we were made very welcome including our dogs, never disappointed when we use this pub on our day trips to Tewkesbury

15th Oct, I had a small family gathering here for my birthday. What stood out to me was the team Jason, Chole, Meg, and Adam. From lovely warm smiles from the girls to Jason helping train the staff and Adam engaging with us like real humans, not just customers. From start to finish, and we had a great time. My son had a burger bigger than his head. Dog friendly, too, which made everything 10 times better. Sure, the food didn't match the £70 steaks I ordered from my specialist restaurant, but that isn't why you come here. However, the food was exceptional quality for the cost. Drinks were perfect and cheap. My only complaint is that they didn't serve Pepsi! It was a great place to come for a bite to eat after a stressful day at work. I'll certainly be returning!

We have been here a few times and it has usually left us feeling underwhelmed, but at least fed adequately. However, this last experience has confirmed that it is not somewhere for a return visit. It was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience. The service was sloppy, grumpy and verging on rude. Items were forgotten and plates were delivered clumsily and inhospitably. The food was not of good value - cheap ingredients, poorly executed with misleading offers.

It's a pub chain, so that tells you what to expect. The menu was varied, and reasonably priced. The food came swiftly when ordered via the app. I was less impressed by the few deserts on offer, but if you like chocolate you will have choices.

Came in for a meal with my partner.Food was lovely cooked by Shino and was served by Terri-Anne who made sure all our meals was ok for us and greeted us with a smile as we entered and same when we left. Will be returning. Thankyou wheat pieces team.

I have been coming for a while now and everytime I come Adam is always so kind, polite and friendly. He works so hard and is always busy but still goes out his way to make sure everyone and everything is good. Adam shows people what a job like that is about. He’s a real credit to himself! Keep up the good work mate. Should be proud of yourself!

Pretty nice place, been going for years. Only things I'd say on feedback is to bring more pub classics back like Bangers and Mash, cottage pie etc. Other than that there is some other good choices and nice to have a family meal.

Popped in for lunch again and had some of the best service from Bryony was so lovely and smiley.

after waiting an hour and a half for starters and main courses to be served (at the same time)we sent the mains back because they were cold and overcooked . We ate the starters we couldn't have anything else

First revisit for a few years and it was a very pleasant surprise. The staff were chatty, friendly and Adam went out of his way to make sure his customers were happy. The food was good, meat was flavourful and well cooked. Portion are huge l. Very enjoyable!

We had a table for 9 booked for 6pm on tuesday 20th august 2024 whilst having a drink in the garden my grandson fell and grazed his knee the very kind male bar tender gave him a teddy to make him feel better which it did he also told him that if he ate all of his dinner he could choose another one. Having eaten his dinner he went to the bar and proudly told the bar man that he'd eaten all of his dinner and was allowed to choose his prize and then he asked if his cousin could have 1 too which he said yes so both my grandchildren were very happy any how after all that food was promptly served and served with a smile and was all very tasty and hot we thoroughly enjoyed our few hours there and can't wait to go again

Adam at Wheatpieces Walton Cardiff is always very friendly and chatty despite how busy he is. He always goes out of his way, above and beyond to ensure customers are happy. He takes time to get to know regular customers and alway very attentive. Great Job Adam, keep it up.

Come for lunch yesterday and was very impressed with not only the speed of service but how lovely the staff were aswell. We were served by Bryony who still had a big smile on her face and couldn’t have done more for us even though she seemed rushed off her feet. The young girl on bar was also very friendly and very welcoming. Will definitely be back thanks to the great deals and service!

Just been to Hungary horse Tewkesbury. Was a decent place, but main reason for leaving a review was purely on the service we received, I would just like to say the waiter Adam was fantastic, he's such a polite, kind individual who clearly loves he's job. He couldn't do enough for us with making sure everything and everyone was OK. We could of really hated the place and because of this amazing service I would of still gave 5 starts because of him. He's a real asset to your team, hope you show him the review. And Adam keep up the brilliant work.

Revisited tonight: Busy Friday evening service but staff were efficient and friendly. Four meals ordered. Fish and chips was good. One burger very good. Mixed grill, chicken a bit dry, chips luke-warm. Quadrilla burger was well grilled on outside but parts undercooked inside. I'm sure management would have rectified, but it's difficult to mention to staff when they are so busy and rushing around. Feedback is not a complaint, just a nod to help improve for the future. Suspect this is a good venue for families looking for value for money but perhaps not for a romantic evening of fine dining. It's a chain pub and serves the market it aims for, so shouldn't be criticised for that.

We have come here each month from may to July for birthdays and fathers day. We enjoy the menu and lovely food. Decent price and quality 👌 service. My mum used tesco vouchers for 1st two occasions. If I lived in Walton cardiff I would be here often as football on in spacious bar area. See you again soon

Visited for a meal with family Sunday roast was excellent very tasty and the mixed grill was lovely a very pleasant lunch would definitely recommend coming here also staff were lovely nothing was to much for them 5* service

We have been coming to The Wheatpieces regularly for about a year now. The new lunchtime menu is great, especially the lamb kofta wraps! It's clear to see that lots of other people enjoy their visits as much as we do as it seems busier and busier everytime we come but our food still comes out quick and Bryony & Mark still find the time to go above and beyond for us. Great little team who keep us wanting to come back!

Excellent little local pub to me. Service is quick the food is cheap. Dog and kid friendly (separate area for families/food). Always a great place to go to catch the football. I am always chatting with Adam about fantasy football, brilliant ambassador!

Ate in this pub yesterday with my family and a friend, the chicken and chips was nice. The best part about this pub is they offer slushies (red and blue ones), which you don't really find in many pubs. They do other things which are targeted to children such as claw machines and a outdoor playground. Would come again.

Had a double burger which was horrid and cold .... Seems like it was cooked earlier in the day and then warmed up but not very well .... My colleague also had the same and his was horrid and cold too ... Wouldn't eat there again even if it was free ....

Food was great and i ordered the full monty, Meg who served our food was very kind and made our stay enjoyable and also bought a warm atmosphere to our night. I think the wheatpieces is a great way to spend a night wether it’s on a weekday or a weekend and it’s definitely worth going to.

Me and my friends were here we had the ultimate big combo which was delivered by meg who had brilliant attitude and spoke for us she was so lovely

Had a family meal here on the 11th April. 6 Adults and 2 children. Food was okay, service was very good. I ordered a 12 oz rump steak medium rare. It was very thick and grisly. Could eat it all. I would have preferred a Sirloin but it was not on the menu. I also asked for French Mustard again they didn’t have it.Everyone enjoyed their food some were too full for pudding. So it was a good venue for a mixed aged family group.

Went today, unfortunately the food was very poor. Had rump steak skillet. Was like a pack of microwavable peppers, onions scattered. All tasted burnt as well as being hard. Chips and onion rings, only just cooked, so quite soggy. Very disappointing visit.

Good everyday pub. Friendly. Food was hot, plentiful and tasty. Only blight was parents ignoring kids, who chose to then run wild and screaming around the room! Other than that, we had a pleasant lunch.

Me and my sister had lunch at Wheatpeices whilst visiting Tewkesbury. We took advantage of the buy one get one free Friday deal. The burgers were served promptly, and were nice and hot. Server, Adam, was very attentive. Good value for money. Happy with our visit, would recommend.

Came to The Wheatpieces for their Easter Bunny Breakfast event and was very impressed. The morale of the whole team made the experience ten times better for my children. Thank you to Hydie who went above and beyond to ensure my children had the most enjoyable time and to Mr. Bunny himself! Lovely breakfast with great, fast service. Will be back to visit on a regular day soon!

Restaurant staff were really nice we had a man called Charlie Food was fast and service was great overall I had the tandoori sizzler which was really tasty.

Adam is an absolute credit to your restaurant and would happily hire him to work in mine. Being a restaurant manager myself I can tell his customer service is naturally brilliant. And as you like to say to every guest that leaves Adam, I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day! To top it off food was beautiful can’t complain! Will definitely return!
