Lovely spot on the seafront with great views of the cliffs. Reasonably priced (coming from somebody who thinks everything is expensive in 2024!) and really tasty food. I had the halloumi flatbread and all the ingredients were lovely and fresh and it was cooked really nicely. Service was friendly and prompt. Will definitely come again 👍

!What an absolutely stunning place! We got here early, about 9am, and opted in for some sandwiches. I had a tuna one and it was absolutely delicious, lovely moist tuna on a very fluffy yummy bread. We were meant to come back here for dinner, but unfortunately, we got carried away paddleboarding and didn't make it back in time. We'll definitely be back when in the area, hopefully tomorrow 👌😁

Whilst on a day trip we came across this cafe and decided to order some lunch. Staff were very friendly and all social distancing measures were in place. I ordered sandwiches of tuna salad, cheese salad & local crab. All were available on white or granary bread or baguettes. We also ordered a portion of chips. The food was well wrapped for taking to the beach. All of the food was excellent the ingredients in the sandwiches was so fresh and tasty. The chips were not greasy in fact they were very well cooked and fluffy inside. We really enjoyed our lunch and it was very reasonably priced

Called after a trip from Colyton on the tram, nice sunny day, bit breezy so ideal for an outside table. Not much to recommend at Seaton except a walk along the prom and back and The Galley. Nice friendly welcome, adequate menu with good choices and pretty quick service given how busy it was. Crab sandwich, tuna mayonnaise (both on very soft fresh granary) and a chicken burger were our selection. The herring gull (nicknamed Guy Gibson) because of his bravery and accuracy swooped and stole the top of the bun but was immediately replaced by the staff. A large water pistol served as anti gull defence but hey ho it is the sea side. Enjoyed it but hang on to your buns!

We visited Seaton on 06/07. Before leaving home I checked TripAdvisor for somewhere that recommended Breakfast. This Café had a good rating so on arrival we aimed straight for it ! To be totally honest I would normally have walked straight past as it looks small and shed - like. But I had read the reviews and put my faith in them. I’m so glad that I did. It was very friendly and polite table service. We opted for the ‘Smaller Breakfast with Tea. It was lovely, so nice to have proper Bacon and Sausage and not the cheap versions that some cafes serve. It was a very reasonable price and although listed as ‘smaller ‘ it filled me up for 6+ hours! Well done, on another fine day we’ll be back!

Away on holiday for a couple of weeks and arrives at Seaton feeling famished. Saw this cafe and sat outside. The guy across from me seemed to be tucking into a huge meal which looked very appetising so I ordered the same. I think it was called the gut buster or the galley something, I can’t remember. It was a huge meal but cooked beautifully on the griddle and using quality ingredients and lovely fresh bread. I finished every morsel and it was terrific. I made a point of telling the lady in charge who was doing the cooking, how much I enjoyed the meal. It’s surprising how some people can completely mess up even the best ingredients. I urge you to visit when in the area and try the food. Just don’t arrange anything for the rest of the day, you’ll probably need to lie down for a few hours and savour the food. Great place

It's hard to imagine how anyone could give this cafe a bad review but I notice there are a few but mostly very good comments. We visited this cafe on 23rd April 2019 but had already had a cream tea there earlier in the Spring and it was very good value for money, but the best was yet to come. I had a veggie breakfast today and it was the best I had ever eaten, let me explain, the staff were pleasant, helpful and polite and not only was the food superb but also piping hot. There is nothing worse than being presented with food lukewarm so congratulations to this cafe for getting everything just right.

Can’t comment on the food. We sat here on bank holiday Sunday for lunch, there were 2 other tables occupied so for a bh weekend it was quiet. We sat and waited, chatted to the people next to us, staff came out and gave food to the couple on table to left of us, walked back in, could see her in window so tried to catch eye. Nothing. Menu says table service to sit and wait to be served, we did that, for approx 20 mins then a family arrived and sat and out came the young girl within 2 minutes and served them. We decided to leave.

I was at this cafe at the same time as you. You were told it was a 25 minute delay on food as every table was full. Obviously very busy. You were not calm or polite. You thought that as the staff were all young ladies you could intimidate them. That is not acceptable behaviour for an elderly gentleman. In your case no 'gent'. We had some lovely drinks and cakes and enjoyed our time here. And would definitely return no matter how long the wait. Obviously stressed and not very nice!Really pleasant young lady took my money for the drinks, and apologised for her colleagues's behaviour. Not a place to revisit and we live fairly close by.Many others outside were still awaiting some order, staff did not seem to know or care about their customers orders.Sorry to our visitors for the actions of this Seaton business.

I would recommend sitting somewhere that seagulls cannot easily access your table - we sat by the railings next to the planter which afforded us maximum protection from the scavengers. Really lovely atmosphere, great value lunch (I was so full after my breakfast bun! Delicious bacon and egg with tasty but fairly cheap sausages). The waitress was very polite and friendly and repeated our order back to make sure she got it spot on, which she did. Boyfriend had a huge old fashioned milkshake which was great value. We just wanted something to drink late afternoon. It was just 5pm in July but every other café in Seaton was already closed. So well done the owners of the Galley for opening that bit longer to bridge the gap between daytime and evening places. And it’s a bit cheaper here too. They serve a very decent coffee in the Galley, which if the branding can be relied upon is supplied by Exeter coffee suppliers Grazie, who we believe produce an Italian style roast, which suits us fine. We’ve been trying to get Seaton map pins corrected but as so often happens, the people at TA are so intransigent and unhelpful – but don’t worry, Galley Café’s not actually in the sea, even though TA places it there. Find it right on the Esplanade.

Little gem of a place - spotlessly clean, friendly staff, good coffee, and absolutely perfect scrambled eggs on toast. The view over the beach to the sea is fantastic on a sunny day like today. Prices very reasonable - I'll be back next year!

Dined there with my cousins from Chard. Wheelchair friendly, that was important to us , plenty of space and a great aspect overlooking the promenade.Friendly , helpful people and we were all happy with our food choices.Ideally suited for our needs.Next time we visit UK we will return again to the Galley.

Sausage baguette came with three whole sausages, very tasty. Crab sandwiches full of lovely white meat served with a salad garnish, very morish. It was very nice to see smiling, happy serving staff. Would recommend that you visit

On a sunny Sunday evening in July most of Seaton's teashops and cafes were closed. England does tourism so well! [No!]. This place was a gem with nice cake and tea. Staff were young and so friendly

We try to bring all our visitors to the Galley, such good value, nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff and the food is cooked specially for you. Even fried bread for addicts, tomatoes (well-cooked fresh ones) on toast for the non-egg, non-sausage brigade. And when they have crab for sandwiches and baguettes, it's not only stunningly fresh but in a really generous amount. (We nip down even when we don't have visitors just to treat ourselves.) It's often breezy but we take our fleeces and sit outside if we can. There are some seats inside too.

Recently visited with family for coffee. The service was great and coffee good but the cafe was so cold we sat and shivered! We witnessed other people coming in, then leaving as it was so cold. It needs to be warmed up with the Winter season here otherwise custom will be lost.

Gingerbread house cafe is a lovely local coffee/breakfast/lunch spot on the high st, just up from the beach. I recently ordered a cream tea for two box to be delivered to my mother for her birthday as I live far away. She loved it, it was fresh and delicious and included sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and all the fixings, and she couldn’t have been happier to be surprised on her birthday with a friendly face and a special delivery. They are also very active in the community and offered free lunches for school kids during Covid. A great cafe!

Visited today with my elderly mother with very specific requirements on colour and style. Staff were extremely helpful and it felt like most of the ladies wear team were looking after us. Thank you so much
