We picked up a meal deal in the early morning then had lunch there later. Friendly staff and good food. Very well priced. The sandwiches on granary bread were stuffed full of filling and the bread was fresh, soft and just gorgeous. The lentil and bacon soup was wonderful too. Highly recommended. Support small local businesses and give the expensive pubs a miss. 😊

We visited today as we were in the area & saw great trip advisor reviews. The lady who took our order was very polite & friendly. I had the beef ale pastie with salad & it was extremely disappointing. The meat was very tough and dry, the salad & coleslaw did not appear fresh. £9.50 for a pastie?! I would expect much better.

We visited this cafe having had a bad experience in a Local pub where our food never got served. The staff here were absolutely fantastic. They rustled up take away cream teas, sausage rolls and cakes all in a short time frame and saved my dad’s 80th birthday from being a total disaster. We were so incredibly grateful for how they helped us out. There was service with a smile, they went above and beyond to help and best of all the food was absolutely delicious. One of the best sausage rolls I’ve had and the cream tea was amazing. Thank you so much for all you did! What a fantastic small business!!

Absolutely loved this place! having been sat waiting for attention in a different place we came here instead and were so glad. My husband is gluten free and there were unlimited options for him which as a recent diagnosis was so great to see. The waitress was absolutely brilliant so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious fresh and arrived in good time. Top marks

We went here for lunch before going on a cruise on the broads. We told the staff that we had booked the cruise, and we only ordered a cheese platter a slice of carrot cake and a pot of tea to share. The tea and cake came fairly quickly but the cheese platter never arrived. After 45 minutes we asked for the platter to be made up to take away as we had run out of time. This was done very begrudgingly. They dumped everything in to takeaway boxes and gave us knives and forks to eat with but no paper plates. All in all we were very disappointed.

This is such a lovely cafe and shop! We took a couple of vegan cakes as a takeaway and they were reasonably priced and delicious, in fact, we both commented on how nice they were and generously sized. The person serving also asked if we had allergies and went away to double check ingredients etc. Well done. 😊

Our family has had many enjoyable visits to Horning. A lovely place to watch boats and bird life. On this occasion we booked a table at The Galley, the owners have only recently taken over. It has a quaint cottage feel, and was toasty and warm. As well as being a cafe, it is a deli and gift shop. The staff were lovely, the food was gorgeous and for the portion sizes, we felt the prices were very fair. My daughter had a vegan platter for one, and it was delicious. The cheese scones were the best I've tasted and the cakes were also top notch. Also the pots of tea were piping hot, sadly I have had many pots of tea elsewhere that have only been like warm. I could not fault this visit and would recommend the Galley to everyone.

I had an idea in my mind to find someone to organise a graze table for my sisters 40th birthday. I Came across the galley Horning in my searches so I contacted Katie who right from the start was so helpful and arranged the most amazing graze table for us. She discussed with me my exact requirements and completely delivered. The graze was exactly what I imagined and more. My sister and the whole family were very impressed. I wouldn’t hesitate using Katie again in the future and will definitely be visiting the galley when in the area again.

Was good all round , seen and eaten better poached eggs though, they were all over the place and bit over done, toast was hardly toasted bread (why do places serve toast so untoasted?) the black pudding was practically raw so I left it. Tea was awful , weak as anything, I assume a single, cheap tea bag in a pot (I never looked inside, but on pouring a second cup it did not get any stronger. Tea served in horrible mismatched crockery with an awful tiny cup to use. Did not want to make a fuss as in a rush. Girl waitress was pleasant as well and did not want to give her grief either.

I was so looking forward to visiting the galley knowing it had a deli, homemade cakes and gifts. We arrived approx 4.10 and on the window it said now open till 5pm Mon-Sat. We went inside and the young woman behind counter said it was just tea and cakes as the ovens had been switched off. I then said could we have cold quiche or a sandwich? She replied that we could have quiche but no sandwich as no bread. Ok we'll order quiche and a cream tea. I took myself off to loo and when I came back my hubby had forgotten to order the cream tea so I went to inform her and was given the reply that they're closing at 4.30 but she'll get me a scone. When I was eating the scone it was 4.30 fortunately we were left to eat in peace and not asked to leave but were not welcomed at all. I must add though that the scone was huge and delicious. Booked to have an afternoon tea here for 5 people, unfortunately due to the flu one of our party had to drop out last minute. We informed them when we arrived, and after some discussion we were told we would have to cover the cost of the food as it had already been prepared, which we accepted. However, as we were covering the cost of the food we expected to be served it with the food that arrived at the table, only it wasn’t. Instead we noticed what appeared to be the final serving of the afternoon tea being served to another couple in the restaurant. At the end of the meal as we were paying we asked if it was possible to have the food that we were paying for for the final person which we hadn’t had and were then told it had been used for staff lunches. We asked if it had been sold to the other couple and it was confirmed it had been given to the couple we suspected except one of them did work there, however it was clear she was not working at the time. Very disappointing as we still had to pay to cover the cost of the food which was given to someone else to eat.

This was one of our favourite quirky finds when on holiday last year. Choose your own donuts...yes please! No arguments from the kids as they can choose their own. Lovely, entrepreneurial family run business. It was highly recommended to us by the Hotel we stayed at - i can see why! We will be back when we csn visit the area again.

Called in Today for a quick snack & drink as we have been here several times in the past. Unfortunately it was not quite the same as it was a couple of years ago. One member of staff was not as customer friendly as she could have been. Food was less than average. Sorry but we won't be returning

This is the second visit to the pub- after the annual Land Rover rally for the Norfolk firefighters charity. The first time we visited was just for drinks, this time we had a meal- a roast dinner in my case. We hadn’t booked and were very pleased with the service, the lady behind the bar took our orders promptly and was very helpful with the children’s menu. Food was served quickly and was delicious, proper “pub grub” The atmosphere was very pleasant too, it was a dark, wet November night and upon entering you’re greeted by an open fire, cozy bar and cozy restaurant. Will definitely be returning- more than once a year!
